We made a reservation here for a birthday dinner while on vacation after some friends recommended it. Despite having a reservation and being on time, we still waited around 20 minutes. The place is "fancy" in the way Olive Garden was fancy for middle America in the 1990s. It's trying to be upscale, but is really a glorified Applebees. The white table cloths look fancy but are just vinyl table cloth. I ordered a sirloin steak, baked potato, and Caesar salad. I've never met a Cesar salad I didn't like, but this salad tasted like water. It had absolutely no flavor. Perhaps it sat too long in a fridge? I don't know how you make it taste like that. I had three bites and gave up. My steak was okay - extremely heavily seasoned (as in someone dumped spices onto it) and a bit tough. I wouldn't order it again, especially for $30. One person in our party ordered a crab cake which came with tartar sauce instead of a remoulade, but perhaps it's on her for ordering a crab cake in the middle of the mountains. It was definitely just a frozen crab cake patty. She didn't enjoy it. Another person had the pork chops and said they were "ok." My loaded baked potato was good, but a potato is a potato. Service was okay. Our server was really awkward but she was attentive. When she learned it was someone's birthday, she sent over a free dessert. It was the heath bar cookie with homemade ice cream- but you'd never know it. The server dropped it off without saying what it was, which is really problematic because it contains nuts you can't see and you should warn people about that! We don't have any nut allergies fortunately. The ice cream had COMPLETELY melted by the time the dessert arrived at the table. It was just melted soup, nothing solid to pick up, like maybe it sat under a heat lamp? The heath bar cookie thing was rock solid. We could not cut it at all using the fork and had to use a knife to hack off a small fragment. We had a good laugh about how absolutely terrible it was to send over an inedible dessert, but it was free, so we didn't complain. Had we ordered it and spent $10 on it, we absolutely would have sent it back. I wish I had thought to take a photo! I will not be returning to this location or any other Chop House in the future. This was an expensive meal that definitely was not worth it. There must be other similar options out there that are better. Go there. read more

We love Chop House and always eat here when visiting Pigeon Forge and also when we visit other citieis that have a Chop House. We took a church group of 70 people there on a Thurs night in March 2027 at 6:00pm. I had previously spoken w/the Gen Mgr. who said they could accomodate this large group. We had a choice of 3 entrees. When we arrived we had a reserved area w/ice water at each seat. The food was delicious, the wait staff were awesome and we left the restaurant. Our family has been loyal to this location for over 30 years -- but the current manager, Christopher, has singlehandedly destroyed its long-standing reputation. After being served charred, inedible food and politely asking for it to be corrected, we were met not with an apology, but with arrogance, argument, and complete disregard from the manager, Christopher. While the waitress was apologetic, the manager (Christopher) came to the table only to blame us, as if we should've ordered it to be cooked differently. It's appalling to see such a well-loved restaurant fall so far under this kind of management. My suggestion is to avoid this location unless The Chop House replaces its leadership and restores the respect and quality it was once known for. read more

The food that I was about to eat was good. I initially ordered broccoli with Parmesan cheese. When my food was brought out I had a huge stem and a side of Parmesan. I kindly informed the server that the cheese was suppose to be melted on the broccoli and I would love for it to be cut up like everyone at my table. I was told it would be an upcharge for cheese of course I was already aware of the price difference and agreed. She then took the cheese from my plate when my broccoli was brought back it was regular cheese and still a huge stem. When I repeated what I wanted now for the 3rd time my plate was taken again and we heard many side conversations including the statement " Does she not have a knife" That's a very rude statement to make. Regardless, if I had a knife or not, my order was still wrong. By the time my broccoli was corrected and brought out I was done with my food. The manager apologized and brought out desert. The restaurant had so much potential to be great and I would have loved to enjoy my meal. The attitudes and side conversations ruined my experience. I more than likely will not return. read more

Went in here thinking it was just another restaurant within the outlets. Was SO pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is amazing, slightly dark, quiet, wood fire grill burning in the open. After a vacation with just ok food, we stopped into Chop House, one of my favorite restaurants in the area. And it did not disappoint. We were treated by two very friendly greeters and then sat in Dawn's section, who was really good. Since it was lunch time, my mom ordered turkey and dressing with a sweet potato and said it tasted like Thanksgiving. My niece ordered a steak with blue cheese butter and she loved it! I ordered the petite pork chops with baked potato and it was good. My niece and I also shared a Cesar salad. (My not issue was the amount of cheese in the dressing). Also, the bread was delicious. She came back with drinks and we ordered our meals. She came back with our appetizer. It was heat hot and tasty. After we finished our appetizer, our food came out. This business is located in a shopping plaza near other businesses and the outlet. I found this restaurant on Yelp while I was visiting the area. The reviews and pictures lived up to my expectations. I made reservations online but we did have to wait a short time for a table to be available. The restaurant was spacious. We were seated in a large booth in an area away from many people near a large bar. Our server, Mercedes, was very nice and helpful in assisting us with menu items. Mercedes brought us complimentary bread and butter after we were seated. The bread was soft and tasted good. I ended up ordering the lamb chops with macaroni and cheese and a Caesar salad. The salad was really good and was made with fresh ingredients. The Mac and cheese was creamy and tasted good. The lamb chops were tender and were seasoned well. There were enough lamb chops that I had leftovers after eating. I would get all of those items again. Because it was my birthday I was given a free desert which was a caramel fudge cake with ice cream and a single candle. The ice cream and caramel sauce were good but the cake was hard. Came here for a date night. The service was fantastic as my server and the other staff were great, but the food was okay at best. My partner and I both ordered medium rare ribeyes and his was perfect but mine came out pretty overdone which was partly because it seemed like the steak was cut pretty thin. They immediately replaced it and my sides which was nice, but I think this is the first time I have been to a steakhouse that hasn't cooked my steak right, so I was a little disappointed. My family loves to come here for lunch when we are in the area because 1) it's in the Tanger outlet shopping center so it's convenient after shopping and 2) they have lunch specials $15 and under. I also like that they have a large, open kitchen and that it feels cozy inside with the brick walls and decor. We came here today for lunch with a 1:45 reservation. We overheard the host telling parties when we got there that the wait was one hour and also overhead them telling parties at 3:00 as we were leaving that the wait was an hour. This place gets super busy! I personally would not wait an hour so definitely make reservations. I ordered the blue crab cake with mashed potatoes and a side salad. Everything was good, but I wouldn't say it was great. My Dad liked his Turkey and my Mom liked her chicken fried chicken but nothing at this place that stands out as terrific.
