I went to this location on this past Wednesday with 3 of my friends. The wait was long since we went at the end of prime time in tourist town. When she first walked by before our order, she was upset about something. The waitress was extremely busy with the 2 other tables and took a bit to get to us for our drink order, that was about 7pm. Either way she was busy. After a while, we received our drinks and she took our order. The food came out about 40 minutes later which I felt was a bit long. My order came out wrong with some sort of mushroom sauce on it. The meat was a little bit over medium but still had a good taste. All of us were pretty pleased with the food and a bit disappointed in the service. Overall, the food was pretty average for a steak place but nothing to really to write home about. read more

Cooked to perfection a bit of char. The mint sauce really isn't needed. SN: who started the whole mint jelly/sauce with lamb? It's never good! Properly cooked and seasoned lamb is perfect on its own. I think this was a case of Europeans trying to recreate a middle eastern dish, but badly. Fresh mint on lamb is good. Ok back to the review. My daughter ordered the kid's burger and smiley fries, which are potato rounds with smiley faces cut into them. Very cute and she enjoyed her meal. My husband and I ordered dessert first. We looked at the menu before coming and we're very excited about the choices. I ordered the caramel fudge cake. It came warm with Icecream on the side. So moist and decadent! The caramel and fudge go well together and it feels wonderful on the tongue. Hubby ordered the caramel cookie crunch. I tasted it and it was good. But if you ever tasted talenti's gelato of the same name. This is just a deconstructed version of that. I preferred mine. When we arrived for our reservation we had to wait about 15 minutes past our established time before we could go in. Once we were seated we placed drink and appetizer orders quickly. My husband and I got the mozzarella wedges for our appetizer and they were amazing! I ordered the filet mignon with macaroni and cheese and it came with a salad. Everything was great quality at this place: covid procedures, food, and service. I went for lunch on a Saturday. We had to wait 30 minutes or less to be seated. The lunch prices are inexpensive for the quality/amount of food. Covid-19 precautions: This is the only restaurant that I've visited that took our temperature at entrance which I really appreciate. Table spacing is really good and everyone is wearing a mask. Precautions are pretty loose in this general area so I was shocked at how thoughtful they are being. It made me more comfortable eating here because I knew they did not take safety lightly. Fried calamari also comes with fried shrimp. The batter is so good that I didn't realize I had picked up a batter-fried pepper instead of calamari or shrimp. It was that good. Spinach Queso dip is the best variation of the typical spinach dip you see at other restaurants. Mozzarella sticks were very crispy and packed with gooey cheese. Voodoo tacos had crispy chicken tenders, cabbage, pico de gallo, and a spicy drizzle of sauce. I loved it and could eat it all without the tortilla. I asked for extra sauce on the side because I feel like they give you a lot of chicken with little sauce. The sauce is spicy so if you don't want the extra heat you could ask for an alternative. The mac and cheese is not the best I've ever had but it was okay. I also tried the chocolate caramel cake. It is a chocolate cake with caramel sauce rather than the caramel being a part of the cake. She looked to be doing a good job but he thought it was alright to do this in front of customers. Overall experience was pretty good. It's a busy place, and in the middle of the outlet mall, so be prepared for a lot of traffic. We made a reservation for 8pm on a Sunday, and we're seated within 5 minutes of arriving. Ambiance was wonderful - like an upscale hunting lodge, but not tacky. Sam was our waitress - she was great. Complimentary bread and butter was so soft with a crunchy crust (still warm!). I got the ultimate Bloody Mary - one of the best bloodys I've ever had, and LOADED with tasty garnishes - perfect appetizer! For dinner I got the blue cheese vinaigrette salad, side portion - it was more than Enough with the bloody I had. A little acidic and oily - might ask for dressing on the side next time. This location is in the middle of the Tanger Outlet Mall, which means plenty of parking, but look out for pedestrians and high shopping times of the year. We made reservations for 5:15 (options were limited) and arrived right on time. We were seated within a few minutes... the meal started out by meeting expectations. Service was good and she answered all of our questions as we reviewed the menu. We did overhear the table that was seated after us were offered at least 1 off-menu special that wasn't offered to us. It sounded delicious and we would have ordered it if it was offered. The food: * chicken tortilla soup - didn't look good, but was quite tasty. The broth portion of the soup was seasoned very well. * the house salad was "just ok". I really do prefer cold lettuce... but realize that perhaps I'm just picky. Instead of croutons they use Asian crunchy noodles, which is an odd combo * the crab cake dinner - the crab cakes were over fried and the mashed potatoes were cold. We subbed the sugar snap peas for corn cream brûlée which wasn't what we expected but interesting * the double pork chop - we were asked if we were ok with a little pink (and we were) so asked that it be medium/medium well. It came out well done (almost over-done) but the flavor was great and the sweet potato was a nice compliment. * the medium rare ribeye came out medium well+. It was seasoned well and we really tried to like it... but just couldn't do it and ended up returning the steak. Unfortunately since the rest of the family was over 1/2 way through with their meal I didn't want to wait for a new steak to be cooked, so ended up leaving hungry. The jumbo shrimp cocktail was delicious. Not fishy and the cocktail sauce will open up your nose immediately. Our dinner was a 12 oz prime rib medium rare with baked potato which was piping hot and Parmesan creamed spinach. Every single bite was sumptuous and there was nothing left. And yes they do have a bread service. Homemade bread with a honey butter I think. Dessert was a warm gooey butter cake with homemade vanilla ice cream, frozen strawberry pieces and whipped cream. I can't say enough great things about my experience with The Chop House! Although not everyone in my party of 10 had the same experience as me, I was very impressed. My husband tried this as it was the only real option for him as a vegan on the menu. He was very happy as the burger was huge. Prime rib sandwich with horseradish sauce and fries. My step mother had this and rated it as average. She reported it seemed to have been under the heat lamp for a while before coming out. Steak with baked potatoe. Ok here's where someone in my party did have an issue. My father ordered it well done. The steak came out medium and still bleeding. The potatoe was cold as well. They redid his meal and he had the same result with both items. They happily replaced his meal with another menu item but by that time he was ready to leave as the rest of the party was done with their meals.
