French toast and the city diner's best.

The food was amazing and our server was great as well. Me and my family went for Father's Day and really enjoyed their breakfast it felt like something homemade. You should definitely try this place out.

There were a bunch of regulars sitting at the counter and chatting it up with the servers. We grabbed a table and were greeted right away. The server checked on us often but didn't smother us. We also witnessed a lot of folks coming in to grab to-go orders. The menu is very simple and straightforward. They serve breakfast all day and lunch service begins at 11am. We both had breakfast. Between us, we had scrambled eggs with cheese, eggs fried over-medium, bacon, French toast, pancakes and potatoes. Everything was decent. I wished that the cheese had been cooked into the scrambled eggs and allowed to melt, but that was okay. Also, the texture of the breakfast potatoes were like mashed potatoes that had been smashed and burned on the flattop grill. We weren't a fan of those. Overall, the place was cute and quaint and the staff was friendly. Everything was priced very reasonably as well. Also, anywhere you can find the locals at is usually a good sign!

They close at 3:00. Our server was Maria. Super nice and very helpful. We were leaning toward the chicken salad sandwich and asked if it contains onions. Kathy can't eat raw onions. It upsets her stomach. Maria was very honest and said yes, it has lots of onions. And she is not a fan of it for that reason. We thanked her and went to our 2nd choices. I got a chicken avo club and Kathy got the BLT with an egg and on ciabatta bread. My chicken avo club was good. Just very sloppy. The avocado made it too slippery to stay on the bread. The first half I was able to keep it on. 2nd half I had to deconstruct it and eat it piece by piece with a fork and knife. Still good. Just not in sandwich form. The Cajun potato's were very good too. Kathy also enjoyed her BLT. Place is cute. Lots of artwork on the walls you can buy. Parking is right in the lot by the entrance. Easy peazy. No reason to not try this place. Prices are about average. My sandwich was $15. And you can get breakfast all day. Lives up to the hype. I'd go back.

The City Diner is on a street corner with a small parking lot. When they are busy customers will park across the street. We manage get a parking space as others were leaving. We went in, and the dining room was fairly empty. We were seated in a booth by the hostess. There was 1 server on duty at the time running to take care of everyone. She took our order, the food was a big portion, and good. The City Diner is a nice little place for some good food and good friendly service.

Outstanding choice for dining in Cleveland. If you are looking for a quintessential Cleveland…read moreexperience, this is it. The Rowley Inn is located in a nice neighborhood (Tremont) across the street from the Christmas Story house. I had three meals there. The first, loaded pierogis, was the ultimate comfort dish. Pierogis with potato centers were covered in diced kielbasa, bacon (yes, bacon), and covered in cheddar cheese. Ahhhhh. The others at my table raved about the kielbasa and pierogi dish. They also liked the beer selection. How do you know you have a great find? You think about the meal long after it is consumed. Next meal- breakfast. I had the kielbasa and pierogi omelet. Need I say more? Finally, we came back a third time and I ordered the burger. No burger place (save Chuckbox in Tempe, AZ) can match the Rowley burger. The burger is actually seasoned and cooked to order. I had it medium rare. Sheer perfection. Typing this review makes me sad because I live far away from Cleveland. If you are in The Land, you must drop everything you are doing to get to the Rowley Inn. It is a 8 minute drive from downtown.

I mean, plus... There's a pretty famous house across the street. I waited a few moments longer than I would have liked for the hostess to seat me, ultimately choosing a two top behind a pillar toward the back. This may have been a mistake... As service waned throughout my meal. The bacon wrapped tots are a MUST TRY. Fantastic! The steak frites was also very good. I've been to nice steak joints that don't know how to cook a steak medium that consistently throughout. My initial water glass was cracked, and a decent chip in the top almost cut my lip. I brought it to the servers attention and she replaced it. And, I also ordered an Arnold Palmer, which never came. Had it not been for those oversights, it may have been a five star review, which is a definite rarity for me when I've tried "Triple-D" locations. Usually I leave disappointed. Y'all, it's an old school bar vibe. Divey. Loved it! Very cool ambiance. So glad I went. It may have been a little loud, honestly...but it is a bar...and I'm getting old! Hahaha!
