This is our go to place to relax with a tea and some conversation after getting dinner on Atlantic. A lot of people have the same idea as the line gets a bit long after dinner time. It's nice that once we have our drinks there's room to sit and hang out. The servers are really nice and helpful and the tables are generally clean. DRINKS & FOOD: Iced vanilla latte and Iced matcha latte were good! Ordered a blended mocha another time (not pictured) but that was unfortunately too sweet for me. As for the food, the sandwich was a bit greasy but was not bad. Could have used more chocolate on the choc croissant but isn't that always the case ;) STAFF: Friendly! Times I've gone it was usually 2 people working. May have just one person if the other is on break. LOCATION: Good location w parking in the back. Great natural lighting in the main section. I'm absolutely blown away that you can no longer order a 32 oz ice blended vanilla but you can order a 32 oz iced coffee. I was told today that they couldn't do it because of no availability for lids for the cup when I watched the person walk out with a 32 oz iced coffee with a flat lid. So I asked a question if I could get a 32 oz iced coffee and if they could throw it in the blender for me and they told me no because they don't have a 32 oz ice blended so they suggested that I buy two large ice blend of vanillas to get the drink that I wanted. Coffee Bean just lost a regular daily customer. This same thing happened at two other locations. The Spring street location and the Ximeno location. The fact not wanting to satisfy a regular customer with such a simple request is mind-blowing. I'm taking my business eslewhere read more

Love Coffee Bean. Close to home, right in the heart of Bixby Knolls, staff is friendly. But more importantly, can we talk about the WiFi internet connection here? It's TERRIBLE! In the two years of being a graduate student, every time I come through, there is ALWAYS bad internet connection issues connecting to their WiFi. Why is that!? A few staff members have actually brought it up as a concern, which is quite alarming. I am shocked that management hasn't escalated this up to leadership and done something about it. So many college students come here to study, in big groups too. There are several college students who might be limited to internet access at home, while others prefer to study at a coffee shop (i.e. less distractions at home). Hopefully better WiFi connection becomes a priority soon. Very upsetting. read more

This Coffee Bean is located in Long Beach's upmarket area Bixby Knolls. It has in addition to plenty of indoor seating opportunities an outside seating area on the sidewalk. I got the Salted Caramel drink with a small bear claw. Perfect Match! Bear claw is delicious with its nutty almond paste inside and almond slices on top. I go to this coffee bean a lot, but my last visit here made me disappointed. I went in the morning and there wasn't a line. There were two other customers standing waiting for their drinks to be made, and I noticed they waited a long time for their drinks. I waited 20 MINUTES and was upset that mobile orders were being made before the in-store orders. After all this time, the barista asked me what tea I wanted, so apparently it wasn't even written down. I was shocked it took so long because there were not a bunch of customers inside. I know it's a chain but I love coming here. Every single person that I interact with is so friendly and nice. And if you're not satisfied, they will make it right without hesitation. This review is long over due. I seriously love this place I come here almost everyday. I drive by multiple coffee shops on my way to work. This location can be out of the way sometimes and I prefer to come here because I know I'll always get the best service at this location. Leanne has done a great job here with her team members. Everyday I come I always get a cold brew. Today I asked how the mango tea was and Javi just offered to give me one without hesitation. If that's not great customer service I don't know what is. Then each one of us had to recall our orders for them as they finally decided to make the drinks. I really like this location they have been in Bixby knolls for years located on the same lot as Trader Joe & Sushi west and they are directly across from my favorite Chinese restaurant. The parking lot is huge but congested on busy days. It's a nice shop always clean plenty of helpful staff but my pet peeve is that they rarely have enough bagels to last the day almost every time I visit they never have any good bagels left that I like they usually have egg or sesame seed bagels which taste ok but I prefer garlic cheese or an everything bagel. Imagine what a shock I had today I actually bought an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese and it was fantastic. I ordered an iced decaf hazelnut coffee that was very refreshing on this beautiful sunny day. I sat outside a bit later enjoying the fresh night air as I walked to my car. On my last visit I had a blended hazelnut decaf coffee it was delicious topped with whipped cream. They have shortbread cookies that I love with decaf roasted coffee and delicious scones they also have quite the variety of pre-packaged sweets english shortbread cookies and more. I don't visit often but when I do I really appreciate the quiet peaceful vibe at this location. read more

So after that big meal at Hokkaido, I was in SERIOUS need for some CAFFEINE!! One of my coworkers decided to join me for tea, down the street. Parking was a nightmare but I have to say we got lucky and found someone leaving. This lot is shared by Trader Joe's, and two other establishments...No Wonder!! This location was clean and inviting. Even the barista was super friendly, giving us drink suggestions and was totally patient while we tried to narrow down our choices. I went for the hot chai latte while my coworker decided to try the recommended iced tea in Spring Peach. Mmm...my tea was served at the right temperature. Absolutely Delicious!! A great change from my usual drink order, hot mocha. Our barista offered to have our drinks in glass mugs but we preferred the to-go cups. After a few minutes, our barista asked us how our drinks were. She offered to make some adjustments to our liking if it wasn't what we expected. NOW THAT'S what I call EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! My coworker's drink was too sweet so after a little adjustment, we were back to merrily chit chatting away! They offer free wifi service here. Accepts credit cards and debit cards. I love this location because it's the closest to my house, and it's also convenient in general because it's close to the 405 for those that may regularly take that route. The service is almost always wonderful and relatively quick. There have been days when the line is backed up all the way to the entrance, but I don't recall ever waiting for too long. They are also kind enough to bring our order(s) to our table without us expecting it (We'd honestly wait but I guess we never hear them call it out. Haha.). This has happened multiple times, and it's nice of them to do so regularly. It's usually rare for workers to actually pay attention to their customers and go out of their way to give their order. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because restroom maintenance could do a little better. Other than that... I'll always keep coming here! read more

This is my favorite bean location. Lots of seating, outlets, and free wi-fi. It's generally pretty quiet too, and not too busy, which makes for a good study sesh. I usually get an iced blueberry peach tea latte, but as it was a seasonal drink, this location has run out of it :-( Luckily, a barista here suggested the blueberry pomegranate tea latte and its sooooo good! Its very similar to the blueberry peach imo, so I'll definitely order this one when the other is not available. Just goes to show how knowledgeable baristas are here of their product :-) read more

I went to this Coffee Bean tonight (7/28/22) around 8:30 pm, the front door was locked. The lady barista saw me but didn't do anything. I went through the side door. I told her I want to use my free drink from the app. After I told her what I want to order, she was looking at something else and then asked "What?" When I repeated my order, she answered " We don't have mocha right now" I don't understand why she was being so rude. I wondered if she was telling the truth. The location on Atlantic and Carson has messed up my mobile order quite a few times. My order this morning had no dairy. I go to pick up my drink from the counter and there's Whipped Cream in my drink. Then the barista goes to open my drink that's been sitting at the counter or several minutes to just scraped it off the top of drink! I had to suggest that they make it over. She didn't add my double shot, that I paid for! And made me late to work, all to just compensate me with a unconcerned attitude an a $5.00 gift card. My drink cost over $6.00.
