Never should anybody be denied water. Came in today (07/21/2026), as I usually do on Tuesday. Used the restroom and then asked for a cup of water. Manager/Supervisor Hanna told me I couldn't have water unless I was making a purchase. I asked "So are you denying me water?," she repeated "you have to buy something to get water, it's been a rule for over a year." Unknown to her I am a reserve member most days I go to Starbucks twice, and this should not be a rule no matter the status. However, no one should ever be denied water, she told me it's been like this for a year. I get water weekly before meet and I've been doing this at this location for over 8 months and have never been informed of this. I will follow up with corporate. read more

Nice ambiance with new seating and interior layout and decoration. Free WiFi and plenty of work space with outlets. Consistent coffee and food quality and friendly services as usual. Two restrooms available and there are plenty of outdoor seating as well. This is one of the nice Starbucks in this area with parking right in the front of store as well as drive-through. Located off Lakewood Blvd in Long Beach. Parking is shared with other businesses in the area. This one is walking distance from the office I work at, I think I briefly stepped inside a while back when I was looking for one of those Lunar New Year tumblers a while back. The place is nice has a good amount of space and seating inside as well as a patio outside with a good amount of seating. The baristas were friendly. The place was clean as well. Overall a good experience here. read more

This Starbucks is a mile away from the Long Beach airport. I needed not only a beverage but a bite to eat before a Zoom meeting. The WiFi was excellent, even from outside. The server convinced to buy the ham and swiss sandwich and she would heat it up for me. The beverage (Chai Latte) and the sandwich was greatly needed before the Zoom meeting. The internet access was excellent, as was the patio area where I took the call. This became a great spot to take a break and get situated before a meeting. read more

Quincey is amazing, he recognizes all the regulars and keeps up the bantering even while keeping the pace and speed of service. I really appreciate this Starbucks location. They make their coffees incredibly well and their refresher drinks are amazing. The fact that they have pebble ice is a wonderful bonus. I would be willing to drive quite a distance just to visit this location. The service is exceptional, and the recent remodeling has made the place beautiful. Unfortunately for me, this is the closet starbucks to work. They've gotten my order wrong twice, forgot to give me my sandwiches, and they add extra ice on top of the milk when making shaken espressos. For a shaken espresso, recipe is: shots, syrup, and ice--shaken--then, a splash of milk on top. The extra ice they add AFTER, makes the drink look full, but it becomes watery and melts quickly. I would prefer they stick to the standard recipe. They also have their "it's fall! Try a PSL!" Sign up...even though we are in January. They also have their signage in the rain, still in packaging. This doesn't really matter in terms of drink quality but certainly speaks to the carelessness of management here. read more

Haven't been to this location for years. I stopped here today because I noticed that I had a BOGO coupon offer on my Starbucks app. I walked in and this Starbucks was very crowded. There were only a few seats left if you wanted to dine in. The music was extremely loud, causing everyone inside to be talking louder than needed. The noise level was way too loud for only 10 AM! I ordered my 2 drinks and told the barista that there was a BOGO offer on my app that I wanted to use. I even had the app open with the offer visible, and I was pointing to it while telling her about it. She said ok, and then scanned my gift card payment through the app. Got my drinks, went home, and realized the BOGO was NOT used and I was charged for 2 drinks. I had done a mobile order around 5 minutes prior and entered the drive thru letting the worker know my name. Right away her tone shifts to annoyed saying "We can't see your order if you just ordered. If it doesn't show up you have to come inside." I was okay with this as I understand it might take a while to appear on their end. I pull up to the window and she only has one of my drinks ready and I let her know. She makes my other drink and when she hands it to me she goes on a rant saying " The reason I said what I said is so that you don't oder at the box and you don't mess up my drive thru line okay? You are messing up our system and don't do it next time" and ended it with a fake smile and condescending smile. It really ruined my experience as I never had ill intent and was apologetic for not waiting longer but her attitude tainted my view on this store. Whoever was working on drive thru with the headset at around 4:52pm I hope gets reprimanded for the rude and disrespectful tone towards customers who aren't being rude first. read more

This review is for Camellia (I believe that was her name). I called and told her there was an issue with the order today. We had used our app to pay and normally the deal of the day is added or mentioned. My husband said the barista just asked if he was using the app to pay. She didn't mention what the total was; He assumed that the barista would have known he was purchasing deal of the day since she didn't mention anything other than a payment type. Anywho, long story short I called and spoke to Camellia and she assisted me right away and resolved the issue. As a prior Starbucks barista (a decade ago) I appreciate the level of professionalism I was given. And they actually made the drink the correct way. They are always so friendly and they rarely run out of our regular drinks. Parking can be a little tricky here because there are some fast food locations nearby as well. On 1/25/2024, I visited this location as I do on most mornings and ordered breakfast items for my team as well as a protein box for myself. The protein box was inedible as the eggs were rubbery, the apples were mushy and the cheese was hard. I called and spoke to Sandy who advised me that she was the supervisor. Sandy was so apologetic and understanding and asked me if she could give me a different one that day or the next time I come. I thanked her and told her that the next time I come would be perfect. She asked for my name and told me to just provide it when I come and they would give me another box. Sandy asked me if I often come in the morning because she remembers my name and makes my drinks most of the time. I returned on 1/30/2024 and ordered some items and then advised the waitress that I would also like to get the protein box that Sandy told me would be available. She asked for my name and I provided it. She says, in the most accusatory voice "Who did you speak to because I don't see anything here?" I told her that I had spoken with a supervisor named Sandy on 1/25. She then asked me what was wrong with the original box and I told her that I had provided Sandy with all the details. She said "There is no Sandy here today so I need the information again to provide it to quality control". When I started to explain, she cut me off and asked me if I had the old box with me. I told her that I did not and then she asked very rudely "so are you trying to get a refund?" At no time did I mention a refund, I had asked for the box that I had discussed with Sandy. I told her that I did not want a refund, never mentioned a refund, I just want the box replacement. In a rude tone again she said "Well I am just trying to clarify." As the line behind me continued to grow, as the time is flying, I cannot believe that I am being treated like a common thief. When I got to the window, I was not greeted as I am most mornings, I was summoned for payment by Camille. I asked Camille if she was the person that took the order and she said no. I asked if there was a supervisor available and she said that she was the supervisor. I started to explain my frustration and was cut off with Camille saying "all she was trying to do was clarify if you wanted a refund or not." I told her that I originally had asked for a replacement and she cut me off again saying "I didn't hear the whole conversation." So I started to tell her how the conversation went and AGAIN, she cut me off and said "she was just trying to clarify what you wanted, I heard the whole thing". So I advised her that she just told me 2 different things and she was extremely rude for cutting me off. I asked for the number to speak to someone to voice my complaint and Camille responded "No problem, let me get the phone number." She bring a large white book to the window and asked "are you gonna write the number down?" I told her that I thought that she would have but let me find a pen. I located a pen and she provided the phone number. As a customer service professional, I would have never handled the situation that way. As a supervisor, you are to be an example of how to deescalate, how to effectively listen and be kind and courteous at all times. I now understand why the waitress was so comfortable being rude and accusatory... this is how she sees supervisors behave. If effective listening had been done in the beginning, this could have been avoided as there would have been no reason to clarify anything. There are several other Starbucks between my home and my workplace and I choose to visit this store as the staff is always pleasant, friendly, helpful and inviting. Camille and the other employee have given me quite a bit of disdain for this location. Camille and the waitress would derive great benefit from customer service training as everyone should be on the same accord as Sandy and the rest of the staff members that I have had numerous positive interactions with. There is a clear disconnect from one supervisor to the other. read more

Very immature staff. Came in Christmas morning around 8 or 9 for reference. The woman who was at the counter was not very welcoming towards me but I noticed she was very welcoming to others. I took a chance this time on the menu and ordered something out of my regular routine which was a Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Frappuccino, and I also added 2 shots of expresso. I immediately felt like the drink was watered down but I realized it could be the almond milk or the expresso. but it for sure did not taste like what I wanted or have a taste of coffee to me. Not a big deal to me, but I was not pleased. I politely waited back in line and told the woman at the counter that the coffee tasted watered down to me and I would like to exchange it for a caramel crunch Frappuccino instead. She took off and spoke to the short haired guy whipping out the drinks in the back, of my concern, and instead of just understanding and fixing the problem. He decided to shake his head back and forth, sigh and sway his hands and argue about why it tastes the way it does. Mind you. They are not busy regardless of it being Christmas. My group ordered on the app and there were maybe 2 or 3 people waiting for their orders. He then comes back towards me, instead of just creating my second drink, and tries to argue with ME about the taste of the coffee. I told him I am not trying to argue with you, I would just like a different coffee. He tried to go again and I repeated again calmly. I do not want to argue. I would just like something else. He turns around to make the coffee while mumbling and talking to the woman that took my order. The woman then dismissed me by stating "your order will be ready soon" abruptly. I do not feel welcomed here. Starbucks is known for making their customers happy with their drinks with no hassle. And I do not go out of my way to cause trouble or create problems. But I felt this experience was very unnecessary and immature on behalf of their 2 staff members this Christmas morning. I simply wanted something different because I made a mistake with my drink, and instead of doing so. The Barista and cashier decided they would instead ATTEMPT to embarrass me in front of their staff and customers. Discussing this moment with others have indicated the barista is normally this immature and condescending to others when it comes to coffee and how it's made and why it taste the way it does. I really don't care about all of that. I would just appreciate professionalism. read more

I stopped at this Starbucks in between meetings. This location is popular. There were lots of people working, which made it a little challenging to find a spot inside. Luckily most people were avoiding the heat, so there were plenty of open tables outside. Unfortunately, there are no outlets on the patio, so I didn't stay long. She gave me a sassy attitude and was like "It's empty. You owe me $7.25". She was even rude to my friend who was trying to ask a simple question about the food and she replied with "hold on" and proceeded to ignore my friend. She was no help at all and she could have been so much nicer. I have worked in the food industry, previously at jamba juice, and though I understand how stressful and tiring it can be to work in this industry, good customer service and respectful treatment never hurts. You guys can't make awful drinks & have hella attitude, pick a struggle. Went in today & they made my brothers drink wrong the first time. My sister in law went in to ask them to remake it & stood there for a few minutes while all the workers stood around just talking. Finally, she said "excuse me" to try and get their attention and the cashier snapped back "you're gonna have to wait." Okay wait for what? So you guys can keep talking about non-work related things? Then they make the drink a second time & I'm not even kidding, my sister in law SAW the worker blend up just plain ice & water & pour it into the cup with the syrups. Didn't blend it altogether at all so obviously it tasted nasty again. So we ask them to remake it a THIRD time & the same worker who snapped at us "you're gonna have to wait" insists we're at fault because "WE ORDERED IT WRONG." She kept insisting it doesn't come blended unless you ask, but it literally says "frozen drink" NOT "iced drink" in the description, and even in the picture there isn't any ice anywhere. It literally looks like a blended frozen slushy drink in the photo. They had major attitude about it & the manager walks up talking about "we're not gonna argue here right now." So it's okay for you guys to have attitude but when we the customer reciprocates that attitude all of a sudden the manager wants to step in. They finally remade it a 3rd time & that one tasted fine, but all in all it left a really sour taste in our mouths. So maybe don't give customers unwarranted attitude & then be shocked when that attitude is reciprocated. Also- make your drinks correctly the first time. At $6 a drink, it shouldn't be like pulling teeth to have a drink made correctly. read more

Solid service. Update to old review is that after trying about 10 different Starbucks this place has the most comfortable seating and best HVAC. The actual shape of the inside makes it feel more spacious and well lit. One thing that's sad is the round table on the end is gone which was the best for family hangouts and conversations.
