Let me start off by saying I used to LOVE coming here to grab a coffee and take a stroll after work. But the employees that they are employing at this location have not been very kind. Super rude and don't even greet their customers anymore and it's sad because you feel unwanted as soon as you walk in. Who would want to come into a place where they feel they are unwanted?. I will not be coming to this location and I will advise my friends and family not to either. This is not okay. We will make the drive to the Ventura location instead. Hopefully they can retrain the employees so they don't lose more customers in the months to come. read more

This is such a cute little chain. Personally I'm more into small locally owned coffee shops but, I went at 9:45 and this was one of the few options left open. I was definitely pleasantly surprised and enjoyed my short visit. It was cute, quick and the employees couldn't have been nicer and more helpful! First of all, I'm absolutely addicted to the white chocolate ice blended coffee here, and I frequently go to three locations, but this one is my main one. That being said, I go there almost every single day. Usually twice a day. I've had interactions with these employees so many times, I'm absolutely aghast at anyone who is complaining about their customer service. They have difficult jobs serving us coffee all day long, that if they don't have Barbie smiles plastered on their faces, they shouldn't be criticized. They aren't working for Disney. Maybe try interacting with them and making their day a little better, instead of relying on them to do that for you..? I had a particularly hard time with the person who was insulting Nancy. Nancy is friggin awesome. Her attitude is amazing and she has a smile that will melt your friggin heart. So piss off for calling her a mouse, and go figure out how to deal with people before you start calling her out again. I've known her since she worked at In n Out, and just as her customer service was exemplary then, it absolutely is now. And I don't know her outside a professional setting, so I'm not her personal friend defending her. Strictly a customer service relationship, which is why it pisses me off that anyone could be giving her a hard time, specifically! And to the other person who said this place needs to be torn down so they can put a Starbucks up?? Your taste buds have betrayed you, and you need to be executed with no blindfold and no last cigarette. Also wanted to mention a great experience a few nights ago with a cashier whose name I believe was Isabel? Absolutely appalling, on Christmas Day even!!! I have been a long time customer of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, often going out of my just to patronize this company. I use to own a home down the street from this location at Seabridge. I would go there 10+ times a week. My friends and I would also go to the Montavlo Shopping Center location and The Camarillo location, we prefer Coffee Bean to the "other" one. In the last year I came upon hard times. My son was granted a wish from "Make A Wish", I got a divorce, and now I have an illness that I might not survive the treatment. So in order to ensure my children are taken care of and that I can afford to get by while I fight my personal health battle, I choose to live in my van. I can budget 3 cups of "featured bold" month. Today is Christmas Day 2015. I went to my gym to take a shower so that I can be presentable when I meet my friends for celebrating. Afterwards I was going to stop by my favorite Coffee spot for my allotted 3rd cup of the month this morning. The gym was closed. So I headed over to Coffee Bean at Seabridge. Rather than just use the restroom facilities to change and brush my teeth. I asked a Customer Service Rep if I could change my clothes and brush my teeth, I did mention I am with out a home. Before I can even mention that I was going to buy something, she started shaking her head and saying, "No, no, no... I'm sorry, I can't allow that." All with a smile, and on Christmas Morning to boot. I was not asking for a handout or anything free, in fact I was intending to pay for a cup of coffee and a yogurt, the only things I could probably hold down this morning. On Christmas, really. From a patron, who in better times, has spent hundreds upon hundreds of dollars for nearly a decade with your company. Who just so happens to be down on his luck right now, not because he is a bad person or made bad decisions. But because his son is sick and he his battling a serious illness. WOW!!! It saddens me that I will never enjoy a "featured bold" again. You have lost a long time, extremely loyal, customer. and on Christmas at that Shame on you! Thankful the Starbucks in downtown Oxnard was more understanding, I didn't even mention the incident at Coffee Bean. They just let me change and brush my teeth, then they offered a cup of coffee on the house. I did pay for it though, since it was in my budget. I sincerely hope that a manager reads this and it does not happen in the future to another loyal customer. But I will no longer be patronizing your business. It might have been excusable any other day of the year, but not on Christmas. You have no idea how humbling and embarrassed I was to even bring myself to ask... but I did, and I was made to feel less than. WOW!!! Utter disbelief!!! I'm really disappointed with this store. I use to work for coffee bean for 3 years and have the highest expectations when I go in stores because i know the companies standards. This store was a serious bust for me. No one seemed excited to be there and be apart of such an awesome company. I much prefer the frozen drinks at Starbucks and other places. The best large coffee shop alternative to Starbucks in Oxnard. I go here to get my daily morning fix. The interior is a little cramp and can get noisy. It doesn't give the coffee house vibe but more the eccentric commuter vibe. I think the cold brew is amazing and pretty strong. That's my drink of choice. I've had the mini donuts once before. I would not recommend them. But if you're a workforce warrior needing the extra caffeine rush, then check this place out. read more

Service and product seems to have gone down hill since the last time I have been here. I worked at this location for 4 1/2 years from 2007 and 2012, moved away and had no Coffee Bean but would visit often when I was visiting family and I still knew quite a few people who worked here. Went in today since I have moved closer and was craving some good Coffee Bean. First the girl at the register was not at all friendly and seemed annoyed by my request with a condescending comment back. Seems recipes have changed since my last visit and so I asked for my drink stating what I didn't want due to my prior knowledge. In very rude way she says "just to let you, that drink doesn't come with the chocolate". I tried to laugh and tell her I use to work there so things must have changed but she just rolled her eyes and gave me a rude smirk. Jalapeno cheese bagel recipe has changed so I was disappointed in that and even more so when my bagel came out burnt. I asked for my drink to be mixed well since I ordered it iced and know they use powder flavoring and still had powder in my drink. Very disappointed and sad to see this store has gone down hill and that customer service is no longer a priority. read more

If you are looking for something different to drink the baristas will ask you some good questions so they are able to recommend something new. The prices have gone up every year, but this is still by far the best coffee shop in Oxnard, California. No one can compete with the courtship of its staff, as each employee seems to treat one another like family. They possess some of the most friendly service I've come across and always find myself walking out of there with a smile on my face. Although wait times can be a bit lengthy due to the swarms of caffeine addicts that come in, keep in mind that it's not always the Baristas' fault. I've witnessed impatient customers grab someone else' drink(s) without even asking; having set back and forcing the person behind the bar to remake whatever order that was placed on the counter. My favorite is white chocolate ice latte but I was wondering why each time I got my order I didn't have chocolate syrup on the top of my drink like the picture. So I go to asked them why I didn't have my syrup look like the picture , they let me know that is for blended only , I got over ice I have to pay $0.50 cents extra for that . And the next day I went to another place in my town to get the same thing but they didn't do that at all. I never go back there anymore even I'm really live close by. read more

I love this coffee bean. They are fast, friendly, clean and you can't beat the location. My favorite drink to order is the chai tea latte. If you want your chai to taste like a little cup of heaven, have Mark make it for you. First, I own a local lighting repair service and my hours are varied, but I always make time for my morning brew here. The drinks and the crew are excellent, to the point that sometimes my drink is ready by the time I'm up to pay. All of the regulars (customers) get along fine and I have never experienced a problem, The manager "Fritz" is a really good leader and her team seems to both like, and respect her leadership. If haven't tried this location, then do so, you wont be disappointed. an after thought. being that most of my customers are restaurants, and I can get all the coffee I want free from them, its saying something that I come here and pay for my brew. This is by far my favorite coffee place. My husband and I go here often and the service is always great and friendly. The only problem is that it is so popular, sometimes there is no place inside to sit. I guess that is a good thing actually. I love to sit outside and look at the view as well (if it's not cold or windy) and it's a great location if you want to get your coffee and then take a beautiful walk along the paths.
