Went through the drive-thru at about 8:30pm on Friday, October 19th and ordered a hot Chai Latte that was "a little less hot" and received a cup that was so hot it could barely be held even with the insulation sleeve. My wife agreed that it was excessively hot. I was willing to accept this as a lack of communication between coworkers because my past experiences with The Coffee Bean were always positive. After waiting a good 30 to 40 minutes for the drink to cool we both tasted it and found that it barely had any flavor. We received a $4.53 cup of boiling water. Coming from good Minneapolis independent coffee and tea, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf was mediocre at best. Coffee was watery and bitter. The tea selection was impressive, but the workers were very resistant to make any of it iced. This business seemed to be very corporate flaunting itself as independent with board games, books to read and free water. read more

One of my favorite places to relax and have a good cup of coffee. My girlfriend is a tea drinker so we have to find places that can cater to her as well. She loves the iced green tea which comes in a variety of tasty flavors. I liked the strawberry cream. For coffee they have something for whatever mood I'm in. Doesn't matter if it's just a straight up cup of dark roast or dark and white chocolate mochas. They have it all plus some tasty stuff in the baked goods case too. Check them out. read more

This is a great place! The coffee is second to none. Today I got a no sugar added iced mocha. I love it when they shake iced coffee so the bottom half isn't still warm, yuck. Thankfully my iced coffee was icy cold throughout and delicious! We stayed for awhile assembling Easter baskets for our children at one of their tables and all the people working there were very nice. read more

When I visited, the general manager was working and she was absolutely wonderful. Saw me looking at the retail section and asked me if I needed help and was able to give me the answers I needed. She made my iced winter dream tea latte and it was yummy as always! Unfortunately I highly disagree with the four stars this location has. This is probably the worst coffee bean and tea leaf I have ever gone to. I keep trying to give this place a chance and ever time I go I'm annoyed and disappointed. In the last month I have been there 3 times and every time I go there are different people working so I have hopes that it will be different, nope. The first time I went, I had gone in with 4 different co-workers and they literally screwed up 3 of the 4 drinks.. like really? I can understand 1 drink but 3?? and its not like they were customized drinks, straight but drinks that they offer nothing added or changed. The second time I went in I went through the drive through I had asked if the iced hazelnut coffee had milk into because I am lactose intolerant and would prefer not to get sick while im at work, they told me no I go okay great let me get one of those, they had it me and it looks waaayyyy lighter than it should. So I look up the ingredients online and sure as shit it has milk in it.. so I walk my unhappy ass over there explain it to them and they go " oh that's weird we must be making it wrong then because we don't put milk in it?" ummm what???? so now im extremely wary of drinking it, I mean do you blame me, and I tell them im sorry but im having a hard time believing you that there isn't milk in it considering on your website it says otherwise. So after explaining all of that to them I ask for a black iced coffee and go to hand my drink back to the guy and he looks at me and says "oh your not going to drink it?" UMM?!?! NO IM NOT. and then today, I go into this location for the third time I order a iced black coffee, a blueberry scone, and a bar. I am literally the only person in the place and it took over 10 minutes to get my iced black coffee, I mean I've never worked at a coffee shop but I mean how hard is it to pour coffee and ice together, the chick hands it to me and I ask for my scone and she goes "oh you ordered one?"... what the hell???? oh you mean when I asked for a blueberry scone I wanted that? hmm yes I did. needless to say this location needs to get its crap together. I'm not sure how 3 different times with different people each time can screw up so badly.. there's a reason I will continue to pay more for Starbucks and actually enjoy my drinks and service. read more

This coffee shop is so welcoming to all customers that come in. They great you with a "good morning" and big smiles before and after you have ordered! It is a great place to drink coffee, sit and do homework. They have a corner with coffee tables and very comfortable chairs leaving you feeling relaxed, focused and motivated to get all your work complete. Their coffee is absolutely incredible, not too sweet, not too bland, just right. The only downside to this place is they do not sell food items which sometimes is a bust if you want both something to eat and something to drink. This CBTL location is great -- always friendly, consistently good drinks, and pricing on par with competition. They really shine come winter, though. Very nice commercial coffee shop. The baristas are very friendly and the atmosphere is conducive for working on your laptop or meeting someone for coffee. They have a shelf with communal books and games located around the corner near the restrooms, so they don't mind if you stay a while. The outdoor covered patio is large with seven or so tables and a couple umbrellas. It stays in shade for a good part of the day so you can enjoy your coffee outdoors even on a warmer day. The only downside to the patio is its proximity to the drive through speaker, so you hear everyone placing their order. They make a good chai tea latte and the baristas even offered my dogs organic dog treats. read more

I go here to study often- the staff is the most friendly and personal group of people I have ever dealt with in a costumer service environment. They are kind, caring, and take pride in their work. This makes for a pleasant calming environment! They know the difference between a dry and wet cappuccino (good luck getting that level of knowledge at Starbucks) and they can accommodate a students needs for studying. They have food for snacks and some healthy options as well. Their coffee is brewed at the perfect temperature- unlike other places where it is brewed too hot and becomes bitter and chalky. Their iced tea is not watered down and has a great balance of flavor. Mostly I enjoy the staff. They remember your order and are very polite. I have not visited this location for about a month now. I tell you, I do love their Iced Blended drinks. First of all, the employees who works here are happy, and happy employees means they like their job and liking their job means they will treat their customers great. Well, it really surely was great! We went here with our dog and they even brought out water in a dog bowl and dog treat for her. We love Jesus!! He is the life of this location, in my opinion and he is exceptional with customer service and a very people person. I like the layout of the store as well. A large outdoor seating area with roof, so you're not stuck out in the sun. They have a couch seating outdoors as well. The inside of the store is also very pleasing and relaxing. I love their tables and comfortable chairs good for the back and some couch seating for relaxing and kicking up your feet. They also have some games and books if you want to read or enjoy hanging out with your friends at the coffee place.
