This Starbucks at 23865 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance is the best one I've ever been to. I ordered a latte and muffin and asked that it be brought to my table because I walk with a cane and only have one functioning hand. After my order was delivered. I wanted to take the top off of the latte and attempted to do it. I spilled the drink over the table, on my pants, and on the floor. Immediately, two baristas came over, cleaned up the mess I had caused, and replaced the muffin and latte at no charge. I was amazed. The baristas were so kind and understanding, and went "above and beyond" what a reasonable customer would expect. This location was opened recently. There are plenty of tables and chairs to accommodate customers, unlike other locations that offer take-out only service and no seating area. The good: I tried an horchata Frappuccino and a strawberry matcha loaf bread slice. The loaf was moist. I like that the menu is always changing and there are seasonal offerings. The drive-thru line is super spacious and long. It's the longest drive-thru line I've ever seen. The interior had really tasteful art and vaulted ceilings. There's a large outdoor seating area. The bad: The line in the drive-thru moved a little slowly after I placed my order (on a Tuesday close to noon). The loaf could've used more matcha flavor. The interesting: Their current cake pop is unicorn shaped! My daughter would love it. I thought Starbucks was trying to move away from opening drive-thru spots so I was surprised to see this place had a drive-thru. read more

I really like the vibe at this newly opened Starbucks. It's both drive through and sit in, and it's large. First of all, there is a lot of parking. Second, there is plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors. It's spacious inside. I ordered ahead on the Starbucks app, so my order was ready when I arrived. Staff are friendly. I enjoyed my green tea outside on the patio. There are many tables and chairs. Because the drive through window is a set back a little, you don't need to worry about smelling car exhaust fumes outside. read more

This is one of the newer Starbucks to have opened in the area. Located on Hawthorne Boulevard, just off of PCH, this is a very nice location. As this is one of the newer Starbucks spots, the structure for this business exhibits all of the new architectural designs that Starbucks is currently employing. In terms of this particular location, they have a very nice outdoor patio in the front of the business. There's a lot of tables, and it's a nice airy environment. This location also has a number of tables inside. So, whether you want to catch some air, or just sit back in a temperature controlled environment, this is a great Starbucks to go to. Plus, they have a really large parking lot, so it's easy to find a spot. The other main attraction about this location is that they offer drive-through. So, if you want to keep your car running and stay on the go, you can drive-through and quickly get your drink. The staff here all seemed really nice, as is commonly the case with all Starbucks. Overall, if you want what Starbucks has to offer, and you're in Torrance, this may be your place to go. read more

This is a relatively new store location and it's very nice. It has plenty of seating/space both inside and on the outside patio area. I've been here a handful of times and every time I've been enthusiastically greeted by an employee. I want to give a shoutout to the manager Frank who provided extremely good customer service. I usually do not write reviews for Starbucks since there are so many already, but this location is brand new and very clean, so I decided to share. I noticed that the cup was different from what I usually see at other locations, which I thought was interesting. Maybe this is the new version, but I really liked the design. It felt fresh and cute. Drinks (my usuals) Venti Strawberry Acaí with lemonade, no strawberries, add peach juice Venti Green Tea with water, add 2 splendas, sometimes I substitute water for lemonade Grande Hot Chocolate w/ extra whipped cream, with a splash of vanilla syrup - kids temp :) Things to know: - No drive-thru. Inside has tables and chairs - few. Outside has tables and chairs as well. - Plenty of parking. - I have ordered through the mobile app only. They are spot-on for ETA here with mobile app orders. - I have learned that the refreshers/teas taste varies by location. This location, my Refresher was a hit both times I ordered. - The staff is friendly and personable at this location. No complaints. - The inside was in "good shape", lol. - Location doesn't seem to be very busy but steady. I went on a Friday at 4pm and a Saturday at 1pm. The service at this location has been consistently disappointing. Our orders were regularly made incorrectly, and getting them corrected often took so long that I eventually left without my drink. We've stopped going to this location because many of the employees are inconsistent with orders and don't seem concerned when drinks are made inaccurately. Banana bread matcha doesn't have banana or the bread crumbs like it should, this location doesn't make the drinks with enough ingredients. Everything is skimpy it's annoying af. I'm sorry, I don't know what it is with this location but when you go inside it's fine, normal Starbucks, people everywhere, it's loud inside. But the drive-thru is like very unreal and feels like a fever dream lol. Every time I go through the drive thru it's SO! empty, the worker is always singing and so happy to where it's almost uncanny. Not saying that I hate seeing people happy but it just feels like a dream to me. I guess I can say that the workers are happy (only the drive thru workers). Also the drinks in the drive thru are also different compared to when you go inside, not sure why. Basically, only go inside unless you HAVE to go through the drive thru lol. read more

This is a nice store plenty of places to sit the only draw back is that it's super duper loud in here. The Music is loud the fly curtains attached to the doors are CRAZY LOUD. Then forget about if the workers start grinding beans it's very loud. But the coffee is good too so that's why I come. Before I had pretty good experiences with this place. The drinks are good and they had workers who made suggestions about about what they're favorite were or how they liked to add certain add-ons to make drinks better. Recently I noticed that there are new workers here who just really don't seem like they want to be working. Today I came in for a drink (hot caramel macchiato) and there was no one before me so it wasnt busy. The worker literally dropped the metal milk steamer cup, picked it up, and proceeded to make my drink without washing it. I didn't think people need to be TOLD to wash things that touched the floor, but I guess not. Will not be having my drink and will be sending in a complaint for the health of those visiting the store. read more

I come to this Starbucks whenever I go to Best Buy. Usual Starbucks and usual Starbucks experience. The store gets narrow as you walk towards the back near the bathroom. That's also where you pick up your drinks so it can get crowded towards the back. I visited today and saw a really hard working employee. Her name tag says Caitlyn? My god, she worked very fast, very hard working. The guy at the cash register was relaxed and laidback. She's like two employees but in one person form. Just a shoutout to her and needs recognition. There are nine Starbucks in Torrance. This is one of them. It's one of the nice Starbucks ... just like all the others. Soft music sets the mood, the wood theme is dark, and the lighting is soft. It's a Coffee World of comfort with free parking, free WiFi, and plenty of open space to plop down and stay awhile. Baristas are cool and all, but I hate it when baristas be like "Tea is the new coffee." Barista, please. It's not. Give me a Grande Vanilla Latte with Soy and let's call it even. read more

I'm surprised i never wrote a review of this place, well ok this one is located by the Best Buy that i go to a lot, although parking is tight for this one cause it shares with Panda, At&t and another store. The is separate from the Best Buy and the nearby Bank i think you can park there and walk over too. One thing is to be careful when getting in or out of there cause some people zoom in and out of the area i've seen some close calls. Anyways came here today on my day off to meet up w/ a fellow Yelper Jayde Y. The staff here was ok pretty friendly service was pretty fast. I ordered a banana foster which was a secret menu drink and he knew the banana would fluff up & that there would be way too much liquid goodnesss and wouldn't be able to fit in my venti cup so he gave me the extra left overs in a tall sized cup thank you that was sooooo nice. When I arrived the line was long and I considered leaving for aother location (I was mainly there to use my computer), but I was happily suprised at how fast it moved. This location was overflowing with laptops and i was able to find only one open spot near the enterance. I was there just long enough to finish my hot chocolate and get my business finished. I visited this location on another day and was only able to sit outside. That was fine since Calfiornia has some great weather. There were a couple of tables with dogs and their owners and everyone came and went. The parking lot is small and they share it with two other businesses, each time I went I found parked to be tough and frustrating. There is another smaller Stabucks within 3 miles towards the beach and if I was just coming in for coffee, I would go there instead....... incidentally...I followed my own advice and did just that...... read more
