Aw, only 3 stars yelp average? I've had very good experiences at this Coffee Bean. Located on Sepulveda Blvd in a strip mall with the Habit, Goodwill, Buffalo Spot and CVS at the far end. Parking is usually busy here but I always manage to get a spot. Be careful of the speedy ones in the lot though. I've gotten either iced or hot decaf regular coffee with half and half. Hubby leans more toward the fancier drinks. As for breakfast items, the toasted bagels and cream cheese are good. Recently had their coffee cake. Yum! Also can't go wrong with the holiday themed drinks and sweets. Service is mostly kind and once in a while there is a barista that is frazzled and not so friendly. For the restroom, the barista gives you a code. And there is wi-fi. In addition to the tables and chairs inside, there is limited outdoor seating. Overall 4 stars! read more

5/3/2026 This 4pm staff needs to stop playing around behind the counter. It's cool to joke around at work, it really helps to pass the time, but make sure you know how to multitask effectively. Ordered three drinks. 2/3 drinks did NOT taste how they were supposed to because they were not made with what I asked and paid for. My Spanish iced latte didnt have that smooth consistency that it would if it had oat milk, and the hot chocolate was not as thick as it would usually be when I order it with heavy cream (which I did). When the order for a Spanish iced latte got called out both me and another girl walked up to the counter. We asked what milk it had and neither of us really understood what she said, aside from her saying it with a touch of attitude as if we were inconveniencing her or something. Then another Spanish ice latte was called out. We both walked up to it again. I asked for a flat, sipping lid considering the space right above my cup holder, me she put a dome lid. Just a mess. First time visiting this location and after 10-15 minutes was presented this bagel. It was soggy, falling apart and felt like someone dunked it in water before it was sent out. I politely asked them to remake me a new one, which they did. However, that bagel took over 10 minutes for them to prepare. When I went to the counter to ask about the bagel they said they've been calling it out and it had been sitting there. They didn't know the name on the order so couldn't have called it out. This review is strictly for the teas. Sometimes the flavor is a bit off, but they're usually pretty darn good. My go-to is the "Orchard Peach" - a green/peach tea (it's non-sweetened which is perfect for me). They also have a new line of "Cold Brew Energy Tea" drinks - I got the pineapple/yuzu for my hubby & he enjoyed it :). Service at the drive-thru has always been really great (although I notice other ppl have had bad experiences). I've always had service with a smile & felt very well taken care of. read more

Crystal the night manager, you will know who I am when I thank you for finding my wife's keys and calling us after hours, and leaving a note for the morning manager and making the best almond milk hazelnut latte, and cleaning the floor and restrooms to create an ambiance conducive to food consumption and we could go on and on, but you have more than made up for the guy last month that made our lattes and put them in the drive in section until they were cold. I have not seen him since but he looked like one of those guys whose dad owned the place and was making him work for his inheritance. Anyway if I didn't give you 5 stars my wife would not be happy with me but I personally feel that your night crew is the best. Too bad we can't come in the evening every time we need coffee. Seriously, I am so annoyed at this location for Coffee Bean. I literally always get a 32 ounce cold brew from all the other coffee beans in the south Bay and none of the other locations shortage my drink like this location does seriously every time I come here they tell me oh we're not gonna fill it up to the top and literally every time there's less and less coffee in my cup. I asked for it to be black and no creamer because I mix an organic non-dairy creamer from home it's made of coconut milk. I love the coffee at coffee Bean but I just can't keep doing this. I am not gonna come to this location again and honestly maybe you shouldn't either I feel like they try to nickel and dime you here and this is ridiculous. How is it that I get a cup of coffee and literally 25% of the cup is empty and is missing from my cup. I should be entitled to say no ice and get the full cup of coffee I paid for!! read more

This location is truly an overall hit or miss. I've come here a couple times and depending on the day and time you can expect to have a really good experience or a very disappointing experience. I came in today and placed my order thru the app. Ordered a Large Matcha ice-blend and pickup time was for 2:30pm. I go inside and they have my drink as a Mocha ice blend!? Alan was apologetic and remade it but it's like pay attention. Slow down if you need to ensure your drinks are made correctly. Last week there was a situation as well: came in for a pumpkin ice-blend and some of the drink was overflowing. The guy didn't try to wipe it off just handed it to me like that... while the lid had the drink running down off the side... JUST BE AWARE THIS LOCATION IS A HIT OR MISS AND MOSTLY THEY'RE MISSING THE MARK! You guys can do better so get it together! read more

This is the worst service I've ever experienced at a coffee shop. I was the only customer inside the store, yet no one told me that my drink was ready. They made my drink and left it sitting in the drive thru pickup area for about 15 minutes without saying anything. 9/19/24 Time for a coffee break! Actually a vanilla oat milk latte I am looking to use up my $25 gift card from CBTL, with so far & few branches left, it's still unused for the past couple of years. Coming from Redondo Beach is on the way towards Lakewood. There are 3 staff here, the store definitely looks much better maintained. I ordered my latte & it was done in less than a couple of minutes & my name was called out. It tastes great, hot & creamy delicious. Visited the lavatory, there's a code, I inquired from the young man I ordered from. The single stall is located towards the back, fairly clean, well stocked with toilet paper, soap & paper towel (thank goodness, I loathe the hand driers). This location has a drive thru. I like this store, it's pretty quiet & spacious. Music is not loud & the staff seem friendly. The temperature is comfortable. read more

Really disappointed with the service at this location. I clearly ordered a sugar-free drink with no caramel drizzle due to health reasons, and it was made incorrectly. What bothered me more was the reaction, staff smirked at each other when I brought it up, which felt dismissive and rude. The barista then took the drink back with noticeable attitude. If a customer mentions dietary restrictions, it should be taken seriously especially if it's for health reasons. This felt careless and unprofessional. read more

I had a disappointing experience at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf this morning. I ordered a drink with a few modifications at the speaker, but when I pulled up to the window the employee immediately accused me of ordering a "TikTok drink." He kept telling me that I should just say "I want the TikTok drink" because it would be easier for them. The thing is, I don't even know what the TikTok drink is, and the drink I ordered was actually quite different than whatever he was referring to ( I looked up the drink after the interaction). I tried to explain that, but he continued going on about it. I eventually just said "good to know." When he handed me my drink, he didn't say anything at all--just gave me the cup and straw. I said thank you and still got no response. The interaction felt really dismissive and rude. I've been to this location many times and usually have a good experience, so this was surprising. I hope management addresses customer service at the window because interactions like that make customers feel unwelcome. read more

Good coffee, ordered an iced latte with almond milk and no sweetener. Service is decent and quick which is a huge bonus during the busiest hours. Inside is nice and clean with good lighting. Less ice more coffee is my only objection at this place. Good experience overall. If I had to choose between Starbucks and coffee bean; I would choose coffee bean. I typically do a pick up order so contact with the employees is minimal, but the times I've interacted with them it's been fine. However, at times it does take quite some time to get your order. I don't think i appreciated coffee bean as much as I do now that I don't have one in the Bay Area. They have the best crunchy ice and that jalapeño cheese bagel is the best! read more

The coffee here tastes great. I'm a decaf drinker and even though they've accidentally tried to kill me once or twice by giving me regular I still take my chances. So that's the thing... I've always ever ordered the same exact thing and I get different results. Mostly you get good baristas (competent, friendly) and then there's ones that nail you to a crossbeam with their eyes if you send back a wrong order. There's an Asian guy on Sunday mornings and he's just back there killin it and makes my coffee perfect everytime. Me thinks he might be a manager? The seating is pretty worn and the place itself could use a good spring cleaning but it's not a deal breaker. There's only one bathroom which sucks but it's usually pretty kept. read more

This particular Coffee Bean is pretty damn convenient and super chill because everybody else is too busy going to Starbucks, so it's not as packed here! HUGE PLUS! The place and the coffee I had tasted gourmet too, so HUGE PLUS! Customer service was top notch by the mixed looking female with glasses and Covid mask, so HUGE PLUS! The drink I had recommended to me by that nice cashier barista lady was the Cookie Butter iced handcrafted latte because at that time, they ran out of cookies n' cream. You know what? It wasn't bad!!! It tasted homely and it also had the right amount of flavor to balance out the espresso. I will definitely by coming back to this place! Horrible service. The staff is busy flirting with their coworkers rather than doing work. Drive thru customers are the priority so you just stand there watching them make you a low priority while they try to get into their coworkers' pants. This location is one of the worse of the CBTL chain that I've seen. And that is a low bar as they are all pretty horrible at this point. This used to be a good chain for coffee. I will now go out of my way to not go to a CBTL. Or Starbucks for that matter. Chains ruined coffee culture in the USA. Pathetic read more

I know it's a coffee bean, and I know that it's a minimum wage job, but that still doesn't make it okay for poor customer service. We come often and there is only one employee who actually owns up to their mistakes. All of the employees (minus 2-3) either have an arrogance about them or just don't care. When I ask for a large they ring me up for a regular. When I let the baristas know, they have to fall back on their computer system. I'm not asking to go above and beyond, nor do I give attitude, but a simple small solution would be nice (I can make another one, or can you check with the cashier). Big guy looking all tough with the bandana on his head does not know how to make drinks! I don't know if he did it on purpose but he over sweetened my partners coffee not once BUT 3 times. I go back he has a nasty ass attitude about it I ask him if he can make the drink snatches it out aggressively throws it away and proceeds to remake my drink and I take one sip...
