Santa Clarita is the Starbucks capital of the world. There is, quite literally, one on every corner. Except the increasingly popular corner of the Old Road and Magic Mountain, where this CBTL reigns supreme. It is a true travesty, and perhaps the only thing not awesome about Awesometown, that Starbucks outnumbers CBTL by a 13:1 ratio (up from 9:1 since the location at the mall closed during COVID). Nevertheless, I am blessed beyond what I deserve to have this shop a stone's throw away. The variety, consistency, and quality are the best you can get in Santa Clarita, including the mom and pop shops (Bodhi Leaf, Honu, and Trophy, I'm looking at you). The atmosphere and ambiance are perfectly conducive to a study session, business meeting, or casual stop for an afternoon pick-me-up. The proximity to the industrial center means the typical day to day customer base is primarily well-mannered business professionals and not the frosted-tip high schoolers with oversized hoodies and only one volume (11) that haunt most other coffee spots in this town. We have been coming to this store about 3x a week since it opened. Have you guys ever been humiliated and got kicked out for being a regular paying customer? Have you ever been inside a Coffee Bean location and you say, there are who people come in, use their wi-fi, eat their lunch, NOT BUY ANYTHING and then leave. But today, for the first time in our lives, we have been shamed and humiliated as we got kicked out of the store just because we brought outside food.. I still cannot move on from that bad experience to be honest. FYI, it's not a smelly food cuz it's just a sandwich/salad. We were told to leave ASAP so I told the male staff we were just finishing up. Lunchtime is when I catchup with my wife during her break. I was deployed multiple times for several years while in the US Navy so though I could not bring back lost years of being apart, at least now I can enjoy a nice tea with her. Well, it would not have been embarrassing if the male staff approached us in a quiet and respectful manner. But NO, his tone was loud as if he wants to tell everyone in the store that he's kicking out these 2 customers just for being ignorant of Coffee Bean's kosher certification food policy. Does anyone know of this? Honestly I love their teas and the salted caramel brownie BUT I am not aware of this policy. We go to other locations and cafes like Starbucks but we never had this experience. I hope this has nothing to do about race because I am neither caucasian nor hispanic. The manager kept staring at us from the counter.. Joy dela Cruz says on her name tag. The male staff told us to eat outside ASAP when it's 50 degrees and the store was not even packed. He stood in front of us until we left. Being working professionals and a military guy myself, we just left without making a scene. It was very very rude how they handled the situation. I mean.. for us not having knowledge of their food policy they will do such a humiliating thing to their customers. The store did not even have a sign saying "no outside food". Remember the African American guys arrested in Starbucks a few months back? We felt we were treated the same way. But we were never treated like this in Starbucks or anywhere before. The management has to do something about this. And to add, the mobile order came out late too so we were waiting for a good amount of time. Never called for our name that the mobile order was ready and did not even apologize for the delay. Coffee Bean has a long ways to go to catch up with Starbucks in terms of customer service. What a way to start the week and ruin someone's day. Hope this bad experience does not happen to anyone else. Okaayyy.. off to Starbucks instead! read more

WOW... harassed and yelled at by 3 little brats working at this coffee bean. bought a tin of tea and Coffee Bean offers a free tea when you purchase a tin. I ask Avlin, she said no, I said yes unless your policy has changed but as of yesterday in the valley were I order every day, we get a free tea or coffee when we make a purchase of a tin or bag. she told me to go read the sign. I asked her to to please tell me since she was the worker. she told me she didn't know. I decided to let it go and ordered to pay for my tea. Another girl walked over with my tea and I asked her if she knew. she told me to go look it up. I then lost it when Aylin dropped my receipt on the counter and looked at me to pick it up and reach across to get the tea and the tin I just bought. I asked why so rude and 3 of them started yelling at me telling me I'm a bad character and to get out. I just wanted to know they were all so lazy that they can't tell me the store policy. These 3 teenagers with a chip on their shoulder have a lot to learn! shame on coffee bean for hiring people like this. Oh and I don't feel bad for walking out with my middle finger I'm the air! 20 minutes to go through a drive through with 6 cars. These people are unfriendly most of the time and get the order wrong 40% of the time.

This is probably my favorite coffee shop to stop by. Even though I always do online orders the employees are always timely even on their busiest days and I've rarely had to wait past the pickup time on the app and only when there's extenuating circumstances like 3 busses full of kids all stopping by to get coffee. The employees are always helpful and kind and I definitely recommend most of their drinks. The inside of the store always looks clean and is really cute as well. It looks like it would be a nice sit down spot if I had the extra time. Thank you so much to the employees who work hard and read the notes left on specifications as well. This used to be the best location in town to have coffee and enjoy ourselves with indoor seating. Unfortunately, ever since COVID they have closed off indoor seating. I get it, however as of 5/22/21, it's still closed to indoor seating. With other coffee houses open for indoor use, it looks to me as if they are now using COVID as an excuse to remain open for take out only. I wonder if they are converting their service for takeout only? Anyway, I won't ever return. There are other terrific coffee locations that are open for full service and I've since discovered better options at establishments that actually care for their customers. read more

The Absolute Best Coffee Bean Ever!!! Hands down, this is my favorite of any places I get drinks or food from, and I drive a LOT for work. Every member of the staff is so friendly, courteous, fun, and helpful! The manager Joy, has done such a fantastic job choosing the best ever. Always a great experience coming here...whether coming back for my "morning pick up caffeine drink" :) Or, late in the say "reviver drink", I always really enjoy coming here. Went in line for a simple hot drink 5 minutes to 8 in the Drive Thru this morning thinking it wouldn't be long. Nope. Took forever. Only 2/3 cars ahead of me but people seemed to order multiple orders and I just ordered one item. When I pulled to the window, I paid and they gave my change. I was in a rush and took off and they didn't even help me with the drink. I thought they would come out but nope, I had to park, walk in and they didn't even apologize for going slowly in giving me my drink. Drink itself is 10 stars. Superb quality. I've been to other Coffee Beans and service was always exceptional. This one didn't even apologize. Service here was awful. read more

The wait time is HORRIBLE. The way this drive thru is set is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. It's has such a great space but they crammed the order menu 2 cars away from the window. So you wait in a long line for nothing because instead of having drinks be made while people wait, you have to wait EXTRA long. Poor design and even slower service. For being near the freeway this should be way faster. And I love coffee bean so I'm disappointed. Never going to be able to come here before work again since it made me 15 mins late. read more

We went to this location as we've been there numerous times in the past for an afternoon latte. The experience today was awful!! First, the girl didn't fill the 2 lattes up enough in the cups so had to return them. When you pay these prices for a latte you expect them to be full. I believe all she did was add hot water to them as the drinks tasted watered down. The girl had an attitude when my husband returned his saying it's weak and was rude. I was shocked to see the condition of the bathroom which shows in the video. The video does not show the pee on the toilet seat that I had to clean up before using. When I told one of the employees about the bathroom, he said they've been busy so didn't have time. Really? There was NO toilet paper on both holders and the trash was overflowing and during the time we were there hardly anyone came in. Inexcusable. This place is not what it used to be. I'm not sure why they ask if you want whip because they give it to you even if you say no thanks to whip. Recently, they gave me a frozen cookie and I asked them to heat it up and it was still cold. The worst part though is that their WiFi is TERRIBLE. I can't even use it on my phone because it slows it down. It takes me longer to do things on my computer because it lags sooooo much. I like to work here on my computer before work because of its location, but it's hard when things take so long to load. read more

We need another location again. We used to have three. This one is always bad. This time the woman didn't make my drink right, turned around and walked away. I tried to get her attention but she didn't hear me because of her AirPods. Another guy didn't believe me when I said I ordered half and half. He had to look at the label. It's not an up charge so why are you checking. Then I said it's supposed to have whip, too. Again, checked. Again, not an up charge. Another lady said oh we don't have the dome lids for the 32oz. Ok, and? I'd rather have what I ordered with a flat lid instead of not at all. What if it was for delivery? The guy never said a word to me and just kind of stood around like it were complicated requests to get my drink correct. After I left I realized they didn't even put the stevia in. So I got 2 things out of 10 listed on the order label. I have never had a worse coffee from coffee bean ever. Maybe to start don't have someone listening to AirPods and multitasking making drinks too. I know I should just not go anymore and I usually don't but I was in the area, they have the biggest size and usually the better quality coffee. read more

Stopped in for a breakfast sandwich and they offer nothing with meat- No bacon & egg or ham and cheese etc... but they can offer you a $6.00 egg wrap that they will throw in the microwave for 20 seconds for you.
