What a cute little find and the baristas were just the cutest, so delightful. We found this coffee place while we were walking to Rise Savannah, the smell of coffee sold us as we passed this coffee shop and my friend and I vowed we'd grab a drink on our way back to the car. This was a great decision because The Coffee Fox for me was the perfect little coffee shop. Being that I grew up in Seattle, WA I've come to love coffee shops that are not only unique but have character and not lacking in flavor and this place was right on the money. Now I'm not a coffee drinker so what sells me on coffee shops are the non-coffee options available, and this place offered HORCHATA (a sweetened rice milk, found many times at Mexican restaurants if they're authentic), one of my favorite drinks. My friend ordered a coffee though, and she's been raving about it all day so I'm guessing the coffee can't be too bad either. One other thing I really loved when we came here was the fact that in the pastry/ food display there were a few vegan options, so they really cater to everybodies taste buds/ diets. I hate to give poor reviews but I count on honesty in Yelp reviews for my own choices so if I have to I post them. It started out with the barista who let me stand there for about 2 minutes while she---no joke---just stood in front of me but wouldn't greet me or look at me. Maybe 2 minutes doesn't seem like a long time --- try standing for 2 minutes in front of someone who is not engaged. It's not like there was a rush --- it was around 4 PM and there were only a few people inside. The coffee when it arrived (iced coffee) was bitter and acidic. I have commented on other reviews that I am a Californian drinking southern coffee and yes the brews are different --- but this was basically I drinkable. It tasted like coffee that had sat on a burner for too long. The decor is fun --- you have a paper mache elk trophy surrounded by random stickers. What I call bumper sticker pontificating. Fun and artsy. Apparently they are a very popular spot but for me it was a non-starter. Also --- what's up with no recycling in Savannah? I asked to recycle my plastic water bottle and was told Savannah doesn't recycle? read more

Nice spot walkable from our hotel (Hyatt) with great coffee. I got a drip Ethiopian blend and my husband got the specialty cold brew (he said it's the best cold brew he's had in years). We were visiting from out of town. We did a food tour and were recommended this place. The staff was very rude! The coffee was just awful. Our orders were completely wrong. We were wearing masks and social distancing. One of our ladies mask slipped down and the guy was so nasty about it! Interrupted her and said can you pull your mask up! I grew up in Miami and started drinking Cuban coffee and cafe con leche before I ever had regular American coffee. These people are overthinking and made the worst example of both of I've ever had. The cafe cubano had a weird fruity taste which I'm guessing comes from using the wrong kind of bean. Seriously, I could tell from the first sip that it was wrong. My wife got the cafe con leche that looked like a latte and she could not finish because it was also wrong. I'm sure they make a fine cup of coffee and other traditional coffee drinks, but they either need to retire the Cuban coffee or go to almost any bodega, laundromat, or restaurant in Miami and see how it's done. This place, without exaggeration, sold me the best coffee I've had in my entire life. Now, admittedly, I am young. I doubt that the coffee I got here will have been the best coffee I will ever had had when all is said and done, but I wouldn't be surprised if it broke the Top Five. It was the Mexican Mocha, for reference. Quality of the coffee aside, this place is trendy as all get-out. They have vegan options for a lot of products, they have gender neutral bathrooms (as you should), and they had the coolest music playing on the radio. And you know what the best part was? It wasn't expensive. I paid $4.25 for my 12 ounces of coffee. There are other places (which I will not mention, though, honestly, you know who I'm talking about) that would charge you in the $6.00-$7.50 range for a comparable amount, and even then, that's just your standard latte with the house blend. One of the best coffee shops in downtown. Everything I have tried here is amazing. My favorite is the nitro cold brew. Highly recommend if you like cold brews. The place also serves limited variety of beers. If you like stouts and coffee, I would recommend trying the Eye opener, it's left hand nitro stout with two expresso shots. The drink has a strong coffee taste. There is very limited seating available. Highly recommend this place for some good coffee. I have seen a lot of people getting the kolaches here so I am assuming they are good too. read more

Incredibly delicious coffee! I had the Horchata Latte and my husband got the Mexican Mocha. The horchata latte had the perfect amount of sweetness and spice to it. The Mexican Mocha was the best I've had, tasted like a regular mocha with a kick. The heart in the foam was absolutely adorable as well, it was like the cherry on top to the great coffee.
