Stopped by on Friday for lunch after running errands with the family. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place had just opened, so it was empty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We wanted to catch the game that started at 10 am, but unfortunately they weren't able to put it on for us. The food menu is pretty limited. My husband and I ordered the birria tacos and he also got the esquite, while our son went with the Dirt Dog. What I did like was the large selection of tall cans... my husband got a draft beer and I had a White Claw. Based on the menu pictures, I had higher expectations. My son devoured his hot dog, which looked really good, but the birria tacos were a letdown. They were really small, and while the price reflected the portion size, I still wasn't impressed with the taste or quality. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This spot seems like a cool spot to hang out, grab drinks, and watch games, but the food left something to be desired.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The menu is great if you want a cheat meal! I got the chili fries and the elote dog. I recommend getting the lobster roll bun instead of the hot dog one! It's super buttery and crispy, similar to cane's bread!

Stopped by The Compound and tried the LA Cheesesteak and the Chili Dog, and both absolutely delivered. The LA Cheesesteak topped bacon wrapped dog was loaded -- tender, juicy steak with perfectly grilled onions, melty cheese, and a soft toasted roll that held everything together without falling apart. Super flavorful, rich, and exactly what you want from a legit cheesesteak. The Chili Dog was just as impressive. The chili was hearty and well-seasoned, not greasy, with crispy bacon, fresh onions, and herbs on top that added great texture and balance. Messy in the best way possible. Portions were generous, food came out hot, and everything tasted fresh and made with care. This is definitely the kind of spot you come to when you're craving indulgent, satisfying street food without the hassle of hunting down a food truck or cart. Service is swift and on point.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The Compound must be the Dirt Dog headquarters because it's massive and is set up like a distribution warehouse.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came here for a music event in the evening and although they typically close at 8:30pm on Saturday, they continued to serve food till 11:30pm for event attendees. I appreciated them for doing that! All the staff were really nice and service was decent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tucked away in an industrial area of Commerce, you'll pull up to a large lot with a spacious outdoor seating area with interactive games for kids and a dope mural of Kobe, Snoop, Ice Cube and Nipsey Hustle.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon entering, you can order at the bar and checkout the cool hip hop art work displayed throughout the dining area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They must have some awesome events utilizing the empty warehouse next to the dining area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The sound system was bumpin and the crowd was vibin the night I was there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the Elote Dog ($12.50), which was a bacon wrapped hot dog topped with corn, lime mayo, cotija cheese, chili powder, cilantro and bacon bits. It tasted just like the street corn I buy from my neighborhood vendors and I'm glad I opted for the buttery lobster roll bread. If I was more hungry, I would've tried the loaded fries, churros and fried oreos with horchata whipped cream! Next time!

Tried this place for the first time. It was okay. I got the meal- house dog, esquite, and drink. The house dog has lots of toppings but towards the second half, it was spicy but there isn't anything spicy. Then the esquite was okay but it got salty... Personally, probably won't come again. I had no idea what to expect today, but I was seriously surprised. This has to be one of the wildest places I've ever walked into for the first time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Huge murals of hip-hop artists all over the walls, old-school 90s music blasting, the music I used to spin back in the day when I was DJing. Every song took me back[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I had no clue a place like this even existed, especially hidden in the middle of some industrial complex. You'd never think thete would be a restaurant, but yeah, there is, and it's a cool one! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a big bar in the middle, and next door they've got a full-on venue for concerts and wrestling. The whole setup is sick.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu? Totally insane. All the hot dogs looked wild, but I ended up going with the Elote Dog. This thing was loaded. Grilled corn, cotija cheese, mayo, chili powder, cilantro, bacon bits, and a fat slice of lime right on top. And this hot dog wasn't small either, you need a fork just to get into it. Every bite had flavor. The corn and lime together hit just right, the bacon gave it that crunch, and the cheese pulled it all together. Super good. This spot was a little off the route I usually take, but now I'm definitely checking out their other locations. This place was a great vibe and Jacqueline the bartender was super friendly and sweet too!

Ok so don't be scared by the drive here.... Between a bunch of warehouses is a good time waiting to happen! Delicious dogs topped high with quality toppings. Worst experience ever for a party. I went to go see Dani flow on April 3, 2026 and the wait to get in was an hour and half all because the gate person was not doing a good job managing the crowd. He just kept yelling at people instead of little folks in one by one. He always locked the gate and that made people push it. I broke my arm because the crowd was getting out of control....

First time here and I arrived around around 7pm to catch a Dodger game just to find out they close at 8:30pm on a Friday night. I still wanted to try their food so I had their Buffalo wings, fries, and their birria tacos (which I forgot to take a picture of). Overall it was a great experience, customer was outstanding, and the food was bomb!. They do have scheduled Dodegers watch parties so look for those dates on their IG @the_compound_la .

I visited the commerce location last week and the food was great. I've been to the Downey location and everything looked and tasted the same so that was a plus! This location is spacious but surprisingly dimly lit in multiple areas. Business was slow when I went and some of the booth tables were dirty but that wasnt a huge problem, I just wiped one clean to sit as I waited for my food. The service was Amazing. 2 different employees kept checking on me to see if I needed anything multiple times and were really polite and friendly each time they came to my table. I would have given this review 5 stars based on the food and service alone but couldn't based on 1 main issue. Because this location is in an industrial building there are huge bay doors that are kept open which is great for air flow and lighting so it doesn't feel like you're sitting in a dark warehouse but because the doors are open there were flies EVERYWHERE. I couldn't eat without constantly swatting away flies to the point where it was super annoying and almost impossible to eat. If I had known flies were going to be such an issue, I would have gotten my food to go. Flies were also surrounding the fountain drink machine and trash cans which was just kinda gross and it doesn't feel really clean when there's that many flies around. The Diet Coke tasted weird and a little "off" like the syrup and water aren't being mixed correctly so I tried a different soda flavor and it still tastes weird. When I was done I got up to throw my trash away and a huge mob of flies flew out of the trash can and when you've just finished eating it just didn't really settle my stomach knowing how many flies are around landing on things and pooping. You can't help but wonder and hope they aren't in the back in the kitchen landing and pooping on the food as well. A+ for Food & Service, D- for the fly ambiance. read more

2nd time here after a citadel trip. Tried the DUI dog and the Elote fries. I would have never thought the elote fries would be so so good, it's just a great combo. My husband says the DUI hotdog is a meat lovers dream it just has everything you could possibly want the dog, bacon, carne asada and pastrami. Super filling and has a good kick. Customer service is great, everyone was friendly. We came on a Saturday around 7 PM. It wasn't crazy but honestly has such a great atmosphere. Super clean and just yummy!!! read more

The food was delicious! The music was awesome (hip hop and rap) I ordered the House Dog with no mustard and my boyfriend ordered the Patty Melt. They were both REALLY good, the House dog had tons of onion and bell peppers. The Patty melt was super cheesy and the hot dog was super juicy. Them waitress Presila recommended the French roll and im so glad she did because it was amazing. We also ordered the elote fries and I loved them as well. The service was wonderful! As soon as you walk in they are very attentive and cater to all your needs. While you're eating multiple workers attend to your needs whether it was a refill on your drink or getting you some napkins they were on top of it. That being said the food was mediocre. The fries were nice and crispy but the steak was over done for my liking, a little too chewy. It was a beautiful day so it was nice to sit outside with a view of the mural they had. read more

1st time here, and it won't be our last. We got the Asada Fries and 2 tacos . We got the Elote Fries and Elote Dog my kid really liked both- We also got the House dog. We also got some Chamoy Gummies and Free Deep Fried Oreo for checking in.. Location was big and spacious.. really like how it's kinda hidden. Nice and clean.. We came here just a few days after its grand opening. I had Dirt Dog many times when I lived near the downtown LA location 3 years ago. I remember each visit was phenomenal. In fact, I actually missed their food when I moved 40 miles away from it now. The Commerce place is much bigger than the Dtla one; there's outdoor seating, an outdoor game area, a spacious interior, not to mention the huge parking lot!! We got the Snoop's dog, Elote dog, Filthy fries, Esquites, and deep-fried Oreos for dessert. Each item we ordered was still bomb like I had before. My Elote dog was covered with corn, a thick layer of cotija, mayo, and a generous amount of cilantro. The hotdog is super juicy and flavorful; I enjoyed each bite. I liked the filthy fries, but not as crazily in love as the hot dogs were. The seasoning is rich, with a very generous amount of guacamole. But the fries are a little soggy . Finally, the dirty esquite would be my favorite if my husband didn't knock it over before I could enjoy it . It was still delicious, though. We were so full before we got to the dessert part. The deep-fried Oreo did not disappoint us! I It has a crisp fried dough on the outside, and dense Oreo inside goes well with the horchata whip cream. The Dirt Dog Compound has ample seating and parking. The art and ambiance are compelling! Plenty of room for groups and parties. There is no wait time, you order at the cashier and they bring the food to your table. Id categorize the food as elevated street food. The hot dog variations are creative and exciting. I tried the Patty Melt and Chili Dog. Both lived up to the hype. I love the cheese sauce! The asada fries are to die for, the pico adds so much brightness to the dish. I also had the esquite and I like how they layer the toppings with the corn. Lastly the churro came with a divine horchata whipped cream that tasted like icecream. We got the Oreo after we finished the hot dogs and fried and it was a great way to end our meal. Their music was a blast from the past with their old school jams! We came into Dirt Dog on Father's Day Sunday, they have a nice patio with kid friendly yard games. The inside is also very nice with booths and tv s to watch the game. Priscilla helped us out and she was such a great help with our order, helping us choose what to get, and gave outstanding service. The hotdogs were great, and so were the buffalo wings. I've had my brother and several friends say that it's good and since we were closer to this area for a pop up event, we dropped by and I finally had a chance to try it. We visited during the final game of the World Cup, so there was no more indoor dining, but there's a couple bench tables outside at the side of the building. Part of the building shades over the seating, so even on a pretty hot day, this worked in a pinch and there was a slight breeze too, thank goodness. Staff was helpful and and answered our questions. They also brought our order out to the tables outside, which was nice. They also took our trash and tray back when we were done too. Each table has ketchup, brown and spicy mustard if need be. Inside, you order and pay at the cashier, grab a number, and they bring it to you. There's a bunch of sausage links on display, as well as the sodas and you can see some of the beer that they have too. For our Sunday lunch, we got the: 1) Sunset Zero soda: -It's an imported German soda. Love that there's a zero sugar version. It's a citrus cola with ending vanilla notes. Way better than some of the orange Pepsi/Pepsi Fire they ran in the past. Nice to try. 2) Rattlesnake & Rabbit with Jalapeno Peppers: -Unique combination of predator and prey meats all encased into one sausage. Also, not often you can get these meats as well. -Slight spicy kick to it from the jalapenos and rich, buttery texture of the meats together. -Each hot dog comes with 2 toppings and we got caramelized onions and sauerkraut with this which added a nice sour and sweet taste to it too. -I liked this the most of the 2 of them. 3) Pheasant with Herbs de Provence: -Nice savory flavor, but I was a fool and ordered this with the sweet and spicy peppers as a topping since they were different from the other toppings we got and I mostly just tasted the bitter aftertaste of the peppers that sort of overpowered the meats. My mistake if anything since the bites with just meat and mustard were delicious. 4) Groot of Belgian Fries: -Huge serving, way too much for 2 people especially with 2 hot dogs and we sadly could not finish it, but at the very least it came with 2 dipping sauces. -Before ordering this, I didn't groot referred to anything other than a Marvel character. -Fries had a rich, deeper flavor than standard fries, nice slight crispiness. We got it with curry ketchup and sundried tomato mayo. The tomato mayo was fine, definitely a lighter flavor and since the fries tasted so rich on their own, I feel like the curry ketchup was a more flavorful and better match. We recently visited Dirt Dog in Commerce, CA and it was an experience we won't soon forget. The story of how the founder, Timothy Cam, came up with the concept is both heartwarming and inspiring. But let's get down to business - the food. Never having had Mexican Street Corn, we had to try the Dirty Corn. Lime mayo, chili powder, Cotija cheese, cilantro and bacon bits all on top of a sweet corn on the cob - need we say more? It was the perfect start to our meal and the Dirty Fries were the perfect accompaniment. The D.U.I. Dog came with pastrami, carne asada, cheddar, chipotle aioli, cilantro, and bacon bits. We highly recommend getting it on the traditional bun as the chipotle aioli perfectly complements the sweetness of the bun. We also tried the House Dog with an Impossible meat dog on a grilled lobster bun (no lobster harmed in the making). The kick from the spice in the dog was balanced perfectly with the toppings. To finish off our meal, we indulged in the churro with homemade horchata whipped cream. It was the perfect sweet treat to complete our meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also amazing. The industrial building with a 90s hip hop theme brought us back to the good old days of roller skating and cruising down Broadway. And let's not forget about the Fanta Orange soda - it was just straight-up nostalgic. Overall, we highly recommend Dirt Dog to anyone in the area or passing through. Where to start this place is such a vibe from the moment you enter the parking lot till you find yourself in a food commma the food is so amazing if you're a foodie like I am. I ordered dui fries and a house dog. The price was just right definitely worth trying this place and if that's not enough they also have excellent servers. Today I was lucky enough that Jackie helped us and figure what we wanted. She was so patient with us and provided amazing customer service I will definitely be back just cause of her service. She went out of her way to make sure we had extra sauces and all the utensils we needed. Thanks again Jackie for the amazing experience. I've always been a fan of Dirt Dog, and this location in Commerce, CA exceeded my expectations by offering tacos as well! The birria tacos were among the best I've ever had, boasting crispy, seared tortillas and tender, flavorful meat throughout. The patty melt-style veggie dog was equally delightful, adorned with delicious toppings like fries, cheese sauce, and bacon bits. However, the veggie dog itself leaned more towards an Italian-seasoned flavor rather than a plain one. Opting for the lobster roll for the bread added tremendous flavor, although it did result in a slightly greasy experience. As for the fried Oreos, they were simply perfection. After work today i was feeling moody not in the mood for anything but to just go home. Waited for my brother to get out of work and he told me hey i need to run an errand so i had no choice as he was taking me home. After running the errands he says are you down for Dirt Dog and I unwillingly said sure. We got here to the usual spot as it's always a chill place and got a order of Carnitas tacos from Priscilla and dam Dirt Dog is a hot dog place but they also know how to cook a mean beef. That carnitas meat is moist and juicy and tender with some salsa and some lime on it. If you feeling the tacos do not skip out on the tacos. Do not get me even started on the birria. Aesthetic and vibes are straight immaculate, tried the mango habanero wings, asada tacos and house dog and the fresh churros. Wings are tender and at a great spice level 3 star out of 5. The tacos taste just like street tacos amazing. The house dog on the toasted bread was delicious if you like a soul food mix with Mexican food style this is the place to go. If you are looking for a chill spot with your wife and son or friends to hang out then Dirt Dog Compound is the place to be! From the welcoming from Jose at the counter to the taste of the fries and dogs the service was good. They also have canned beer & draft beer.He was also nice enough to give my son some oreos!! AMAZING SERVICE !! Seriously a memorable place , the music is on point and the food is just pact with flavor. They give you big portions of food which fills you up.
