When in Key West you have to have conch fritters and these were perfect. Its literally a shack right on duval street. Which makes it the perfect place to quickly grab a little bite before you head to the next bar. The conch fritters are orders of 3, 6 or 12 and they come with either a key lime aioli or spicy pink sauce. We got both and they were both delicious but I slightly preferred the key lime aioli. The conch fritters were fried to a perfection. Nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and they were not oily at all. They were seasoned well and satisfied my conch fritter craving. I'll definitely hit up the conch shack the next time I'm in Key West and you should too! read more

Quite simply, conch fritters done right! This little shack near the North end of Duval Street has the formula down pat...perfectly fried and crispy conch fritters, plump and dense filled with chewable chunks of conch served with a key lime mustard dipping sauce that complimented the dish perfectly. The dipping sauce was definitely the most unique version we'd experienced anywhere, but the combo of the acidity of the key limes paired with the "bite" of the mustard made for a great taste. Add a cheapo PBR tall boy can and you are in business!!! Next time we'll try some of their other dishes as well, especially if looking for a quick meal on the go. read more

We had the cracked conch & fries and the seafood sample platter. The cracked conch was the best. It was slices of conch fried just right. The conch was not chewing and tender. The seafood platter was great as well. The fried fish was juicy inside. My least favorite is the conch fritter. I could barely taste the conch. It just tasted like eating fried dough with a more bread like texture. read more

If you are not familiar with the area and you blink, you will miss this place. Most of the bars and snack shacks are really tiny so put it in your gps. Really great snacks and drinks. Wonderful place to people watch too. Grab a drink, conk fritters and sit back and enjoy key west. The people next to us got a sample platter that looked pretty epic also. read more

A must go to if you are in Key West on Duval Street. We were a little sad the place we were told to try conch fritters by Mallory Square was closed, but I am not sure anything could have been better. It did take couple minutes for the order to be ready but they were making them fresh. The dipping sauce was wonderful...maybe made the whole meal! Don't miss this when you're walking down Duval looking for a quick bite. The lobster roll is served with a Texas toast style bun. We also had the conch fritters which essentially tastes like hush puppies. But they were large and delicious! Order both the spicy in the lime sauce. You can't miss the sauces! read more

Decent fritters but if these are the best Key West has to offer then I suggest sticking to fritters in the bahamas. Overly bready, minimal conch, over fried. Flavor was decent I suppose but not worth stopping for not worth trying. read more

There are a lot of places to get fritters in KW, but for the best tasting you have to get them from the streets and not a sit down restaurant. The Conch Shack scoops the batter up and drops them in the oil right there as you order so you know they are not sitting under a heat lamp all day. The proportions of meat to batter is the difference between a true conch fritter and a hush puppy. You have the choice between regular and spicy and there's a difference so choose what your taste buds can handle. So when you walk down Duval and see the lil shack stop and get some true conch fritters. read more

Service was ok. The hostess seemed upset when we asked if we could have a larger table or just push two tables together to accommodate 6 of us. It was well afternoon and they weren't crowded. I waitress was great and informed us of the Fresh Catch Specials. I had Crab cakes that were deliciously made with fresh crab meat. Everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks. I visited this restaurant 2024 New Year Day. This is at 115 Duval St, Key West, FL. It was very nice sunny day so the lunch at the outside stand was very good. But the space is very limited. If all are occupied, you may need to go to Mallory square. There is no restroom so you need to go to Mallory square for public restroom. Food was also very good. My family all ordered Cracked Conch & Fries - $19. They all loved it. I ordered cheese burger and local beer. This combination was great. The staff are also very nice. I paid by credit card and asked how to pay the tip. She said it includes in the total price. It was good because I didn't need to think about how much tip. My boss recommended this place and I have to say, we were disappointed in the conch fritters. I didn't taste or see any conch. It was like eating a hush puppy. Shrimp was decent, fish was ok, fries also ok. Im not a big fan of deep fried foods because it doesn't sit right with my tummy. Gotta be mindful of that gut health you know. How in the world do you name your place, "The Conch Shack", set up on Duval Street in Key West, FL better known as "Conch Nation" and serve up this garbage and call it Conch Fritters. It was hot; it was fresh; and it was just a dough ball. Maybe they sprayed Conch water into the batter or added some conch dust in the mix. This was more than disappointing; this was a travesty. Apparently, they serve these fried dough balls to drunks and call them conch fritters. Shame on you! Shame, shame, shame! read more

The black owner was very friendly and truly engages with his customer. Although this is more like a small food stand than a restaurant I felt so much better sitting on one of those barstools chatting with the owner and snacking on my Conch Fritters. This was my first time trying conch fritters so I have no idea if other places are better or not. But overall a great experience, a good price, and nice service. read more

Super cute conch shack with freshly fried to order conch fritters. Our order came with the key lime aioli and a spicy pink sauce that had a little tart kick to it. I've been here a few times and have only had the conch fritters (but everything on the menu looks amazing!) They are cooked to order and come out hot, fresh and crispy. Absolutely delicious. I like the garlic aioli sauce... there is also another sauce offered that has more of a kick to it. No seating other than a few high tops. I will go here every time I'm in Key West and highly recommend it. read more

Fast food seafood.. counter order and bar chairs style accommodations. Watch your food cook and enjoy Duval atmosphere. We ordered the conch trio and shrimp basket , mango smoothie to wash it down. Daughter liked the shrimp ; fries was over done. Fried conch was starchy. Ceviché was bland. Trio was not bad but definitely not the best conch fritters. Smoothie was refreshing but at $5.00 it was a bit expensive, considering its only 16 oz cup. If you're in for a quick seafood snack $40 for two adults is not too bad . Overall: Beat conch fritters in the area Ambience: Street food, Don't expect restrooms and an ambience. Crowd is looking for a good time with spiked drinks and snacks to go along. Food: We also tried their ceviche and it was so delicious. Conch fritters are amazing though! You get to pick a sauce. Their hot dog looks great but is too expensive for a dog. Drinks: We had their margarita and it was strong. I would recommend. Service: Cash only. Guy at the window is a bit of an ass but the girl is nice. It's ok, they are working under the sun with no AC, every day, dealing with tourists. It's not exactly easy! read more

For lunch today I walked over from the resort where we're staying, and got a basket of conch fritters. They give you a container of spicy pink sauce, and some key lime aioli for dipping, and both were great. I also got a pina colada smoothie, and a strawberry smoothie. Took them back to the pool at our resort, and we had a great lunch overlooking the cruise ship pier. read more

Great little spot to grab a bite. Good food, great locale to people watch and the staff are friendly. This is not the place to go if you are seeking a nice restaurant to sit in. More of a outdoor bar type of setup. There are a few tables but if possible, grab a stool by the sidewalk and catch some laughs. Can't go wrong with the Conch trio and it is enough to share amongst two people unless you are really hungry as I was or have been out drinking. A recomendation would be to order an additional Conch ceviche because it is amazing and you will only get a small portion with the trio. read more

Came here based on the Yelp reviews and honestly, not sure what all the hype is about. The conch fitters were dense and tasteless, but they were made right on the spot and you can get a small order of 3 instead of 6 at the other places. The lobster roll was good, but average. My husband got the shrimp basket, which was good but the fries were greasy and limp. Make sure you have cash - it's a cash only place! read more

This is my jam for Key West! Had to take a Friday work trip to Key West (I know, rough life) and this was on my to do list! Any time I come to Key West I make it a point to stop here and get a cracked conch basket and as times before, this place did not disappoint! If you blink OR try to find this after partying on Duval, you'll miss it. But find the little yellow hut and you're in for a treat! Literally drove from Pines down to Key West, picked up what I needed to pick up, parked on Duval, and got my conch! The drive back home was that much more pleasant. The conch is fantastic and the fries are even great. Not sure if it's the oil or not but I was certainly satisfied! Something to note: it's CASH only. Had to run to the ATM right next to it so that's a bummer. read more

I don't think it was as strong as some other Cuban coffee I've had but I appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet, so you still got a nice coffee flavor without being overpowered by sugar. Love the mural on the side and there are lots of roosters hanging around begging for some of your leftovers.

They do have a couple of small outside tables. The burgers were good, but not great. Seemed like pre-made packaged burger patties to me. The onion rings and fries were pretty tasty. The staff were friendly and conversational. Note that it's a cash-only restaurant (no credit cards), but there is an ATM at the front door. A little pricy for what you get, but what isn't pricy in Key West.

I forgot to take a photo of their cold brew process that was being done in the morning, but it was fascinating to watch. The process looked painstakingly slow, yet very cool and worth seeing. After a long day of walking and sightseeing, a small afternoon coffee break was much needed. We ordered iced coffee along with a slice of honey cake. The cake was moist, not overly sweet, and paired perfectly with either iced or hot coffee. The only downside was the service toward the end of our visit. Since they were preparing to close, the staff had already started putting things away and cleaning while customers were still seated and eating or drinking. Personally, I think cleaning should begin after closing time rather than while guests are still trying to enjoy their experience. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the honey cake and would love to try their cold brew next time.
