Customer service was ok, asked the cashier what she recommended and ordered that; the tri tip and hot link sausage; tri tip wasn't hot and overcooked and the sausage wasn't hot and just bland! In no way would I ever consider this place ever again. I ordered through Postmates today because I had a craving for barbecue. So I took a chance on this place. This place is a little pricey for the food that they are serving. I understand the barbecue can get expensive however it should be edible. Today I got two meat dinner plate. I ordered barbecue brisket and barbecue chicken with two sides. The chicken is decent. I can at least chew it, but the brisket is tough and dry. My sides were barbecue beans and mac & cheese. The barbecue beans had a little flavor not too much. They were OK. The mac & cheese had no flavor, but it looked like it had seasoning in it, but you cannot taste the seasoning. For $59 and some change, I should be able to eat the brisket that I ordered and the chicken and the two sides but I could not. I spoke to Postmates. They're telling me that they can't do anything about it and that makes me very upset. So if I could try to warn people of this place, do not eat here if you're looking for actual barbecue. I'm not sure why they consider themselves a barbecue place but this is not barbecue. It looks like it, but it definitely doesn't taste like it. There is just some things you shouldn't mess up barbecue is one of those things . To build your whole restaurant around it and you don't know what you're doing is wild. Whoever is doing the barbecue here I wouldn't fire them. They just need to go get some lessons from a real pitmaster. Listen! My Mother's Day dinner was made perfect with this bbq feast! Every bite of every dish was delicious! The ribs were tender and smoky. They had the perfect pull which is a balance between easy to bite but not fall off the bone mushy. The brisket was amazing! Just enough fat to lean ratio. The greens were superb as were the dirty rice and potato salad! The bbq sauce has that epic vinegar background that I love. I wouldn't change a thing about this meal! The girl taking orders at the front was really nice! She was taking her time with everyone to make sure they got everything they needed and understood the menu. The brisket was tender and had good flavor but was not super smoky. The mashed potatoes come with gravy but I would get it on the side since it isn't a typical gravy and I personally didn't enjoy it. The Mac and cheese was actually a favorite of mine! Its slightly spicy and the flavor profile was really complimentary to the tri tip + cheese sandwich's. Every table has multiple barbecue sauces to try and enjoy with your meal- the whiskey one definitely tasted like it so fair warning but I loved the customization aspect! Had a very disappointing experience. My wife had to return her food and was so unhappy she asked for a refund. She was unhappy with her meal because it was cold. I also was unhappy. The "mashed" potatoes were clumpy. The gravy or the lack of was upsetting. Put the tiniest tea spoon of gravy and it was watery. The gravy as well as the mashed potatoes had no flavor. I ordered a Dino rib and assumed I'd receive what was present on their DoorDash. But it was a skinny dry disappointment of a rib and the meat on it was chewy. Which for smoked BBQ is not something you want to experience. And the "smoked" hot link also disappointing. It was chewy as well and the outside was tough. Also a very different appearance in person compared to on their DoorDash. My wife ordered the mini hobo dinner and I ordered the 2 meat lunch. The only thing we agreed was worth having was the Mac n cheese. Outside of that. Nothing was worth having much less worth the prices for the meals. Also, the staff spends the entire shift in the back only appearing when the bell is rung. While there I saw a DoorDash driver become irritated because he had to wait 5 minutes before ringing the bell. I also saw two men come in stand for a while then give up and leave. Yes maybe they didn't realize they had to use a bell. But I think it's completely unnecessary for the staff to hide until hearing it. And NO it was not packed, there was no rush hour. She runs off, then comes back, we don't have any cooked so you have to wait. 15 minutes go by, we asked when it is it ready? "You wanted the chicken?" In the mean time we ate the tri tip and brisket. They were both cold, tri tip was hard and tough, brisket was fatty. My wife ordered the mach-n-cheese as a side, it was just warm, but she said it tasted OK. I reviewed this restaurant 4 years ago, based on my experience then. I had a desire for some good bbq today, but I didn't feel like driving in the rainstorm. 55 mins after my postmates order was placed, my food arrived. Of course, I tipped generously, so my driver would not be too frustrated with driving a little further in the rain to deliver to me. The first thing I noticed when the food arrived was that I did NOT smell Barbecue. The food was lacking that signature bbq smell of meat smoked for hours in a smoker with a wood fire. I asked for bristket cut from the point. The brisket had looked like it came from the point ,but it had a texture like it was made days before and then fried to warm it up. It was oily, like it was fried. It tasted like canola oil, not rendered beef fat (tallow). The brisket order was a few ounces short in the weight we ordered, and it was extremely lacking in flavor both from seasoning and smoke. The meat had no smoke flavor at all. The beef sausages were fried and also had no smoke flavor. The only thing that even remotely resembled the flavors I used to get from this place was the fries. The fries earned the 2 stars. 1 for using real potatoes and 1 for using just the right amount of salt. I am extremely disappointed since the costs have gone up, but the quality has plummeted. My desire for some bbq is stronger now than before having this food. I am not sure if this place can get back to its former outstanding bbq, but right now, it stands out for the wrong reason. First time here and I must say this is definitely way better than Lucile's bbq!!! Even though you have to wait an extra 20mins from your original wait time it's worth the wait!! The bbq baked beans was really good, it had beans, bacon bites and some other goodies. The Mac and cheese was perfect it had enough cheese and the factor was delicious. I wasn't fond of the potato salad it's only because it was super Southern which I believe most of you will like. The coleslaw was amazing. As for the trip tip OMG!!! This place was recommended to us by hubby's coworker. First time here and I'd return for the beans and tri tip! The mashed potatoes and gravy were bland to me. I'm not big on Mac n cheese, but it was different. I think Mac n cheese peeps will like it at the least. So Long Beach now has a smokehouse to rival anything I've had in Santa Maria, I don't know how long they've been here but I've clearly been missing out for a while now and so have you if you haven't been in. About the only thing missing was some dental floss and wet wipes for after the meal. I ordered the Mini Hobo lunch special because I could then try most of the meat options in one go and take leftovers home for later. Now I just need to go back and pick a different side every time till I get through all those. I chose dirty rice and dumped some BBQ sauce on it for good measure. The sauce is delicious, light and tangy and sweet just the right pairing for anything on the plate there. The ribs and rib tips were amazing, the pulled pork dipped in BBQ sauce amazing, and the brisket nice and fatty and delicious. Felt like Texas BBQ in Long Beach! I had the two meat lunch, peach cobbler and the meat sandwich with pulled pork delivered. The sides I had were mashed potatoes, a side salad and then some mac and cheese. The two meat lunch consisted of baby back ribs and tri-tip. The baby back ribs were pretty tasty although fatty and the tri-tip was average.... it tasted vinegary. The mashed potatoes were very watery and were the instant potato variety and the mac and cheese had no flavor. Even the bread that came with it was tasteless. I was extremely disappointed with the peach cobbler because it was watery the crust was soggy and it just didn't taste very good. Yet another reason why I love Long Beach so much it seems that around every corner there's another hidden gem waiting to be explored. The corner 10th's BBQ. Is one of those locations. The stop is incredibly pleasant and helpful that the core is early Americana catchy think Route 66. And ask for the barbecue holy smokes absolutely phenomenal excellent execution and as for the sauces I think there's something for everyone they offer three sauces. Their house sauce, which is a middle of the road let's try to please everyone kind of sauce. They're bourbon barbecue sauce, which hits the marks on all notes and they're spicy sauce which rips the chains off it's hard enough that you can feel the heat on the top of your head as it warms your mouth with its peppery notes well yet delivering an incredibly satisfying taste that allows you to enjoy it. It's bold flavors as a condiment and not as a star of the meal that's so many try to do. On this date I have the tri-tip brisket combination with collard greens and beans. Let me just say the colored greens were delicious on point not too salty but the beans well the beans stole the show. They were full of flavor with bits of meat throughout it, , and its flavor. You'll be hard pressed to find a better baked bean anywhere. I can't wait to come back here with my friends and family and really dive in. read more

UGH, how I deeply wanted to like The Corne 10th's BBQ. As some of you may know I do food delivery on the side and this place is very popular. After picking up from it again I decided to call it an early night to place an order myself. It was raining and I was over it, not the point. I wanted to make sure I got enough items to give a can't opinion, and heavens it was all bad. I went with the 3 meat plate which was about 30ish dollars, with a side. Deep breath, I picked the 1/4 brisket which in came out to about 2 1/2 slices of brisket. The brisket was thinly sliced almost paper-thin and was very dry, it was almost flavorless. I was I drowned it in Barbara sauce and ate it with the bread but did not finish it. I think making the slices slight thicker could improve the overall quality of thicker slices less easy for them to dry out so fast. The catfish was overcooked and crunchy there was no fish in there whatsoever. These pieces felt like throwaway pieces but the main thing you give someone. When I broke it in half to eat it the fish snapped in half. I wish I would have taken a video. I was most excited about the catfish as I haven't found a good fish place out here. The hunt is still on. The mac & cheese was also dry and stuffed in this styrofoam cup I do not think anything I tried could have brought this back to life. They added some random Cajun seasoning to the top of it which made absolutely no sense as it was not mixed through the rest of the mac & cheese. The reason for the three stars is that the ribs were slightly the saving grace of the entire meal. The ribs were fall off the bone and very tender and seasoned well the barbecue sauce was really good on these, I could have eaten the ribs without the sauce. Thick pieces of meat which I was very moist. (yes I also hate that word). If they could implement this with the rest of the order it would have been amazing! This place is a No for me. I'm used to seeing and smelling bbq when I walk into a bbq place, I smelled very little and saw Nothing being smoked or any smoke for that matter. My food was mediocre at best AND Not even Hot. I believe they Warm it up and just serve it to you And it only took 15 minutes to get our food. So that right there ought to tell you something. A decent BBQ spot considering BBQ places seem so few and far between. It's walk up and order with your food brought to your table if you choose to dine in as we did. Based on higher prices and the amount of food we felt a plate would provide, two of us decided to share a 2 meat combo (tri tip and brisket) which was flavorful and there was no need in my opinion to use the BBQ sauce. Being flavorful is one thing, but the brisket was much too fatty to my liking. The tri tip on the other hand was slightly to tender. It came with 2 side dishes. We tried dirty rice which had a unique flavor. Sweet potato fries, our other side, was good...not special. Just because we were sharing we added an additional side salad which I wouldn't get again. Went there for lunch for the first time today, the brisket and pulled pork was delicious! The Mac and cheese, not so much. Two small issues I had with this place 1) it was pretty warm in there. It's about 88 degrees today. There was no AC or fan on. 2) they added pickled Serrano jalapeño slices to my 3 year old sons chicken nugget meal. I typically don't like sharing bad reviews but I hope that it causes some improvement. Starting with the initial phone call to order, the person on the phone didn't seem to be retaining the information I was giving as she asked for my name at least three times. After confirming the order, we headed over to pick it up and she said there was no order by the name we gave. Then someone in the kitchen reminded her that they had given her the order. The bag was stapled so we didn't check the order and I wish we had because there were several issues. #1 missing items #2 a bug in our slaw #3 everything was either tasteless or mediocre at best When we called to address the issues the same woman that took our order blamed the kitchen then asked us to come back. FYI no one wants to get back in their car after anticipating a delicious meal in the comfort of their home. We had tri tip, pork ribs, hot links, cole slaw (with a bug in it), Mac and cheese, tiramisu, and creme brulee. The desserts were very disappointing. The layer of sugar on the creme brulee was runny. It had no flavor. Not sure who their vendor is but they should try something else. Not worth the $50+ spent. If management ever reads this you should consider hiring someone to come in and make some changes so this doesn't happen. As a local, I would have gladly made this a regular spot and would have explored the menu more but sadly, it's not even worth the gas to cash in a free meal. Y'all should be embarrassed for even serving me this food. First off there's no way this bbq was cooked today. The brisket, ribs, and pulled pork were all super dry and tough. The potato salad tasted like mashed potato's with too much sweet relish in it. The Mac n cheese was dry, no flavor, and basically no cheese... Buttered noodles would have been better.
