Had a very disappointing experience. My wife had to return her food and was so unhappy she asked for a refund. She was unhappy with her meal because it was cold. I also was unhappy. The "mashed" potatoes were clumpy. The gravy or the lack of was upsetting. Put the tiniest tea spoon of gravy and it was watery. The gravy as well as the mashed potatoes had no flavor. I ordered a Dino rib and assumed I'd receive what was present on their DoorDash. But it was a skinny dry disappointment of a rib and the meat on it was chewy. Which for smoked BBQ is not something you want to experience. And the "smoked" hot link also disappointing. It was chewy as well and the outside was tough. Also a very different appearance in person compared to on their DoorDash. My wife ordered the mini hobo dinner and I ordered the 2 meat lunch. The only thing we agreed was worth having was the Mac n cheese. Outside of that. Nothing was worth having much less worth the prices for the meals. Also, the staff spends the entire shift in the back only appearing when the bell is rung. While there I saw a DoorDash driver become irritated because he had to wait 5 minutes before ringing the bell. I also saw two men come in stand for a while then give up and leave. Yes maybe they didn't realize they had to use a bell. But I think it's completely unnecessary for the staff to hide until hearing it. And NO it was not packed, there was no rush hour. My wife and sister-in-law and I had past this place a few times and we decided to stop in for dinner. It seems there is a lot of take-out, we did stay to eat. It was not very busy and there where a lot of seats. We looked over the menu and the girl at the counter said we could order lunch menu items if we didn't want a full dinner order. So we ordered grilled chicken and BBQ beans for my sister-in-law, they didn't have any BBQ chicken or pork ribs of any kind. The girl at the counter kept saying "Hang on" and she would run to the back then come back, "What do you want?" Grilled chicken and BBQ beans, then she would run back, come back, "What do you want?" After three times she asks, Anything else? Yes.. Also we want the lunch Tri tip and the lunch brisket. We pay, seemed like a lot for what we ordered but OK. We went and sat and waited. She finally brought the tri tip and brisket. What about the chicken? "You didn't order that..." Well, yes we did. She runs off, then comes back, we don't have any cooked so you have to wait. 15 minutes go by, we asked when it is it ready? "You wanted the chicken?" In the mean time we ate the tri tip and brisket. They were both cold, tri tip was hard and tough, brisket was fatty. My wife ordered the mach-n-cheese as a side, it was just warm, but she said it tasted OK. I ordered the Greens, was OK at best, nothing exciting, it was warm. This place was recommended to us by hubby's coworker. First time here and I'd return for the beans and tri tip! The mashed potatoes and gravy were bland to me. I'm not big on Mac n cheese, but it was different. I think Mac n cheese peeps will like it at the least. The potato salad was really good, but could use more potato chunks instead if so much cream...I didn't try the Cajun fries, but they really looked good. I loved the beans and the tri tip!!!! Just those 2 items alone got this place a 4star from me :-) The young lady was really helpful and friendly. Patient with our ordering soooo much food to feed tailgating group plus 2 staying behind. The place is right on the corner of 10th and Obispo. The outside is welcoming. I had the two meat lunch, peach cobbler and the meat sandwich with pulled pork delivered. The sides I had were mashed potatoes, a side salad and then some mac and cheese. The two meat lunch consisted of baby back ribs and tri-tip. The baby back ribs were pretty tasty although fatty and the tri-tip was average.... it tasted vinegary. The mashed potatoes were very watery and were the instant potato variety and the mac and cheese had no flavor. Even the bread that came with it was tasteless. I was extremely disappointed with the peach cobbler because it was watery the crust was soggy and it just didn't taste very good. I reviewed this restaurant 4 years ago, based on my experience then. I had a desire for some good bbq today, but I didn't feel like driving in the rainstorm. 55 mins after my postmates order was placed, my food arrived. Of course, I tipped generously, so my driver would not be too frustrated with driving a little further in the rain to deliver to me. The first thing I noticed when the food arrived was that I did NOT smell Barbecue. The food was lacking that signature bbq smell of meat smoked for hours in a smoker with a wood fire. I asked for bristket cut from the point. The brisket had looked like it came from the point ,but it had a texture like it was made days before and then fried to warm it up. It was oily, like it was fried. It tasted like canola oil, not rendered beef fat (tallow). The brisket order was a few ounces short in the weight we ordered, and it was extremely lacking in flavor both from seasoning and smoke. The meat had no smoke flavor at all. The beef sausages were fried and also had no smoke flavor. The only thing that even remotely resembled the flavors I used to get from this place was the fries. The fries earned the 2 stars. 1 for using real potatoes and 1 for using just the right amount of salt. I am extremely disappointed since the costs have gone up, but the quality has plummeted. My desire for some bbq is stronger now than before having this food. I am not sure if this place can get back to its former outstanding bbq, but right now, it stands out for the wrong reason. First time here and I must say this is definitely way better than Lucile's bbq!!! Even though you have to wait an extra 20mins from your original wait time it's worth the wait!! The bbq baked beans was really good, it had beans, bacon bites and some other goodies. The Mac and cheese was perfect it had enough cheese and the factor was delicious. I wasn't fond of the potato salad it's only because it was super Southern which I believe most of you will like. The coleslaw was amazing. As for the trip tip OMG!!! Website suggests tip. Gave four bucks in a Togo order. Picked up the order. Asked for 3 bbq sauces and 3 ranches. I wasn't asked if I need any. I wasn't gladly given the options. She said regular bbq sauce, I said sure, wondering what other options there are. I figured if I tipped I would be given choice meat and good service. I drove 30 min in traffic out of my way there and back to get this. I realize after asking there were 3 bbq sauce in the back. She hands me a stack. As I drive off I realize one ranch on top and three more bbq sauces. Only writing this because I won't be back. Brisket is decent and worth trying if you're craving it. I don't know tri tip too well, wasn't my favorite. Bread that came with it was good, raw red onion was a good touch. I wonder if even blue cheese was an option for a side. Was I in a hurry and didn't see a list? I lost my faith in on line tipping. I suggest badlands bbq in corona/riverside. This place is a No for me. I'm used to seeing and smelling bbq when I walk into a bbq place, I smelled very little and saw Nothing being smoked or any smoke for that matter. My food was mediocre at best AND Not even Hot. I believe they Warm it up and just serve it to you And it only took 15 minutes to get our food. So that right there ought to tell you something. The Brisket tasted Old. I got a 3 meat dinner BTW. The Hot link was decent nice spice and the dirty rice may be the best side they got! I also got onion rings which were not bad and Mashed potatoes which were very bland. My brother had the mac and cheese nasty, my mom said the peach cobbler was horrible So Yeah, NO! So Long Beach now has a smokehouse to rival anything I've had in Santa Maria, I don't know how long they've been here but I've clearly been missing out for a while now and so have you if you haven't been in. About the only thing missing was some dental floss and wet wipes for after the meal. I ordered the Mini Hobo lunch special because I could then try most of the meat options in one go and take leftovers home for later. Now I just need to go back and pick a different side every time till I get through all those. I chose dirty rice and dumped some BBQ sauce on it for good measure. The sauce is delicious, light and tangy and sweet just the right pairing for anything on the plate there. The ribs and rib tips were amazing, the pulled pork dipped in BBQ sauce amazing, and the brisket nice and fatty and delicious. Felt like Texas BBQ in Long Beach! Seems like customer service, and sometimes flavor and texture aren't consistent strong points. Maybe the reviewers are biased, but we didn't want to take the chance to find out. UGH, how I deeply wanted to like The Corne 10th's BBQ. As some of you may know I do food delivery on the side and this place is very popular. After picking up from it again I decided to call it an early night to place an order myself. It was raining and I was over it, not the point. I wanted to make sure I got enough items to give a can't opinion, and heavens it was all bad. I went with the 3 meat plate which was about 30ish dollars, with a side. Deep breath, I picked the 1/4 brisket which in came out to about 2 1/2 slices of brisket. The brisket was thinly sliced almost paper-thin and was very dry, it was almost flavorless. I was I drowned it in Barbara sauce and ate it with the bread but did not finish it. I think making the slices slight thicker could improve the overall quality of thicker slices less easy for them to dry out so fast. The catfish was overcooked and crunchy there was no fish in there whatsoever. These pieces felt like throwaway pieces but the main thing you give someone. When I broke it in half to eat it the fish snapped in half. I wish I would have taken a video. I was most excited about the catfish as I haven't found a good fish place out here. The hunt is still on. The mac & cheese was also dry and stuffed in this styrofoam cup I do not think anything I tried could have brought this back to life. They added some random Cajun seasoning to the top of it which made absolutely no sense as it was not mixed through the rest of the mac & cheese. The reason for the three stars is that the ribs were slightly the saving grace of the entire meal. The ribs were fall off the bone and very tender and seasoned well the barbecue sauce was really good on these, I could have eaten the ribs without the sauce. Thick pieces of meat which I was very moist. (yes I also hate that word). If they could implement this with the rest of the order it would have been amazing! Y'all should be embarrassed for even serving me this food. First off there's no way this bbq was cooked today. The brisket, ribs, and pulled pork were all super dry and tough. The potato salad tasted like mashed potato's with too much sweet relish in it. The Mac n cheese was dry, no flavor, and basically no cheese... Buttered noodles would have been better. I'm not gonna get started on this watered down cole slaw. The best thing served was the garlic bread which was probably pre made frozen from Costco. There's no way to turn this around... Just quit. A decent BBQ spot considering BBQ places seem so few and far between. It's walk up and order with your food brought to your table if you choose to dine in as we did. Based on higher prices and the amount of food we felt a plate would provide, two of us decided to share a 2 meat combo (tri tip and brisket) which was flavorful and there was no need in my opinion to use the BBQ sauce. Being flavorful is one thing, but the brisket was much too fatty to my liking. The tri tip on the other hand was slightly to tender. It came with 2 side dishes. We tried dirty rice which had a unique flavor. Sweet potato fries, our other side, was good...not special. Just because we were sharing we added an additional side salad which I wouldn't get again. I like the food here but the service needs work. I ordered online the night before for a potluck and it was never confirmed. Called to confirm the order the next day and said they never received the order but will take 15-20 minutes. I came to pick up my order to find out that they gave my order to someone else. The girl didn't seem to care about the situation and I heard them laughing in the back, teasing and blaming each other, saying it's their fault. Didn't come back out to the front until another worker walked in to let them know that someone was waiting outside. Finally came back out to let me know that they will remake my order. Went there for lunch for the first time today, the brisket and pulled pork was delicious! The Mac and cheese, not so much. Two small issues I had with this place 1) it was pretty warm in there. It's about 88 degrees today. There was no AC or fan on. 2) they added pickled Serrano jalapeño slices to my 3 year old sons chicken nugget meal. The pickled juice made his nuggets and fries spicy, he didn't eat his food because it was too spicy for him. Aside from that, I'd still go back for the brisket. read more

My husband and I use to order takeout from here A LOT until it seemed like they were constantly changing how items were made on their menu. We usually get an order or 2 of the meaty fries, those were the absolute best. Then they changed, their fries, they weren't crispy, cheese wasn't melted, onions weren't sautéed anymore, sauce was a hit or miss if they put it on and then the meat was lacking to where I would have to search for it. Sometimes you would get pepperoncini's other times you would get jalapeños. It was always a guessing game on what your order would be like next. We would also order pulled pork and tri-tip sandwiches. Those were really good until they weren't. Again, there would be a lack of meat and all bun or it would be dry. The sides were never bad. The baked beans and potato salad were where it was at when it came to choosing what to get. Always a hard decision but both are so good. Their BBQ sauces are delish. When we would dine in the Inside is very rustic, clean and taken care of. Service was always good and staff were friendly. Parking can be a little difficult especially depending on time of day which is why we would order take-out majority of the time. This is the first time I've ever went to a barbecue place and you cannot smell nothing. It should've been a warning sign. Walked into a beautiful establishment and thought OK I'll let my taste buds make up for the lack of intoxicating aroma which usually lures me in for finger licking barbecue. The menu was vast and gave me the vibe of some true southern, down home smoked tender meats. Paired with sides akin to what you find around the wood table at your family's barbecue: collard greens, barbecue beans, mac & cheese...you get the picture lol I opted for the two meat dinner with brisket, chicken, barbecue beans, mac & cheese, and coleslaw. Now that the niceties are out of the way- the food was absolute trash:( The brisket was tough and flavorless while the chicken breast though "smoked" was hard, dry and downright horrible. I don't know what the noodles were but it surely wasn't mac & cheese and the barbecue beans were as equally bad as the whole meal. Really confused by this place. The food is good, the portions are generous, the service is quick and the staff is really nice. We got a hobo plate with mac, beans, sweet potato fries and collard greens. I'm not used to it, but the beans were mostly pulled pork and the collards had more pork in them, too. They have 3 in-house sauces that all have different consistencies but otherwise didn't seem that different. The desserts are all a great deal for the price. Everything was good, but the interior of the restaurant was covered in cheap decorations like what you'd find in the clearance aisle at a Home Goods. There was a pile sale of mis-printed t-shirts in the corner and I bought a Lana Del Rey shirt for $3. The menu has something called "Eggs Cream Coffee," and I got the impression this place does a lot of catering trays and takeout orders. I regret not taking pictures because nothing looked like what other Yelp users have posted from here. First time trying the place. We ordered for pick up. We got the ribbo combo. The brisket was excellent. The pork ribs were moist, same with the pork ends. The bread was good as well. The brownie was good. Oddly, the peach cobbler was "meh", not impressed. The order was ready when we arrived. I looked around and seating was kinda small. Seems like most do pick up. Parking could have been bad, but I got lucky and parked right outside. If you look out the side door, you can see their smokers.
