I really liked this dining experience. This place is right in the heart of Siesta Key. It has a total tropical vacation vibe. We ate lunch on the front porch under a tiki roof, which was fantastic! I had a big delicious margarita with fresh lime juice. Our food was really fresh and good. I appreciated that this restaurant had gluten and dairy free choices. They had healthy choices as well as some really delicious looking more substantial fair. Our waitress was very personable and we enjoyed chatting with her. We got a visit from the manager and she was absolutely lovely! The Mexican restaurant next-door was hopping, but I was really glad that we chose this spot for our lunch.

We've been to Siesta Key multiple times but have never eaten here. It was highly recommended so we went when we were there on a girls trip. Seated promptly outside. The vibe was nice- the decor was cute. We ordered a few apps to share: the short rib bites and the tuna tiradito. Both were fantastic- I can't stop thinking about the short rib bites. They had great flavor and were super tender. It was a unique twist on short rib which was nice also. The tuna was extremely fresh, some of the best in Siesta Key. I prefer more of an Asian style tuna vs the truffle sauce it was in but still good. Entree wise, we all ordered something different: the anticucho wagyu skewers, the patio salad with steak, the forbidden salmon, and the Thai curry grouper. Everyone gave their food a 4/5 or 5/5. I personally had the grouper- it was very good and cooked well. A little too spicy for me- I was able to eat it but would've enjoyed it more if less spicy. The waitress did warn me but I wasn't expecting that much of a kick. A few hiccups we had: brussel sprouts came out late and weren't hot and my side salad never arrived so we just had her remove that from the tab. Something we noticed that was definitely a little shady- the bill she brought us had the item removed but once we ran the card and brought it back, the charge was added back on. We caught it and just deducted that from our total but it seemed a little sneaky. Overall, we had a good experience and would go back. Food was great

Perfect spot to grab lunch! Menu is not overwhelming, food is fresh and flavorful. Both indoor and outdoor seating. The lobster maki rolls are fantastic!

The food was good, but if you get any sort of salmon, whether it's the kids or the adults, it is going to be small. The service was a 7 out of 10. She complimented my sisters hair and my sparkles on my face, but she forgot tons bring me something and I didn't get it until we were finished with our food. The ambiance was a 8 out of 10, it was a little bit dark, it could have been lighter.

While at the beach we started feeling peckish so we brainstormed places to eat and this spot had great reviews. Kind hostesses offered indoor or outdoor seating upon arrival. We needed to cool off so inside it was. I started with a refreshing Adam & Eve cocktail. Then we all shared a delicious calamari appetizer. My entree the siesta seafood scampi was divine. Definitely a great spot to relax and rewind after a beach day!

The best grouper sandwich I have ever had!!! Visited Siesta Key this past weekend and stopped by The Cottage for lunch. I have never been to either and was so happy we came by. The restaurant is small but quaint. It's an old log cabin and the story of the restaurant is on the wall. The Food was outstanding!!! The grouper sandwich tempura fried was amazing!!! So flavorful and perfectly cooked. It truly was the best grouper sandwich I've ever eaten. Service was very good. We had a superb lunch and am only sorry this place isn't local to me.

I've been here once before, but I decided to come out with my son because it was a nice day out and he wanted to be outside. I was unable to figure out what I wanted for lunch and I was torn between the grouper sandwich or the seared tuna. The waitress was amazing and told me she would surprise me. She surprised me with half of each and a smaller portion of fries and the courtyard salad so I could try both. I was very impressed with the service and I can't wait to come back.

Always great food at the Cottage! We enjoyed our dinner on the back patio listening to live music under the stars! The service was impeccable - a waiter, not ours, noticed our table wobbling and volunteered to fix it on the fly with a few smartly placed drink coasters - wobble gone! Small touch to please guests - thank you!

    Back patio area

This is a gem of a restaurant! We had dinner on the back patio last night and the area was so peaceful and quaint. It was nice to step out of the busy street and crowds to enjoy a quiet dinner. The live musician added a wonderful touch to the ambiance with his instrumental music. Our server was vey nice, attentive and knowledgeable. Our group of 6 all thoroughly enjoyed our food (scallops, poke bowl, plantain chips, antichuko, Thai curry grouper, seafood scampi). Everything was so fresh with wonderful flavors! Absolutely the best restaurant so far in Siesta Key!!!

We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere at The Cottage. The tempura shrimp, salmon tartare, and burger were great; the seafood scampi was a standout and absolutely delicious. The service was pretty slow and not the friendliest; we were told it was offseason so they had less help, but not sure that should be an excuse. Overall very nice and a definite recommend when in the area.

The cottage is so cute! We sat on the front porch, at first we were nervous with the temperature but they have so many fans it was very comfortable. The team there is fantastic we had someone with a shellfish allergy and they went above and beyond to ensure they were safe during the meal! They have some great dishes on the menu but the tuna sandwich with the truffle fries was the best!

Service was excellent--the pacing of the food was especially well done, with dishes coming out at just the right intervals so we could actually enjoy everything as it arrived. Cocktails were well made, and our friends were very happy with the wine selection. We ordered a large portion of the menu, and most dishes were really flavorful and well executed, very true to what tapas dining should feel like. The only two things that didn't quite work for me were the vegetable paella and the mushroom toast, but everything else was solid to excellent. They also did a great job accommodating us with kids. We had a nice semi-private table upstairs, which made the whole dinner feel comfortable and easy for a group. Overall, it's a great place for both groups and date nights, and I'd happily return.

We ordered the watermelon salad and the Queso de Cabra. Both were very good. We then ordered the lamb skewers, the beef cheeks, shrimp and the potatoes. Everything was good except for the shrimp. The restaurant has an upstairs, downstairs, bar and outdoor seating. We also enjoyed the Sangria. Our friend ordered a gin and tonic and a glass of white wine. He complained to the server how small the glasses were. Our bill for four of us was $260 which is way too high for the size of the portions.

While Bohemios is tapas, they also offer some full plate dishes such as the Paella and our other dish, Bohemios Churrasco. We definitely liked the food. The Paella had a mild familiar flavor. It could have used more seafood but for the price, I was more than satisfied. The Churrasco steak was cooked perfectly for me and their zesty chimichurri sauce made it excellent. I didn't try the side of Gallo Pinto, I don't really like most beans, but my wife seemed to enjoy it. The fried sweet plantains were delicious. Another thing I did enjoy was their Mediterranean Bruschetta, three pieces stacked high, what a great start to the meal. Bohemios is a smallish place with about 8 tables and maybe a dozen bar seats inside, a few more tables outside. Reservations are recommended. Our server was a fun, outgoing, memorable guy and we loved all our interactions. The pace of the meal was good, about 10 minutes for the Bruschetta, another 10 after we finished for the main course. We had visited Lucarelli's before, but this was our first time at the restaurant under the new ownership, and I'm happy to report it was a wonderful experience. We'll start with our server, Lauren. Pleasant, professional, and attentive, she was an upbeat complement to our meal. The entrées come with a side salad, which clearly adds value to the dinner. It included fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers, dressed with a house-made Italian dressing. The dinner menu was robust, offering many options. I chose the chicken parmigiana with linguine. The cutlets were nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. The linguine was al dente and served with what I would consider one of the best red sauces you'll find in Florida--likely an old family recipe. I even soaked up the last bit of sauce with one of the dinner rolls. Well done, Chef Mike! My wife had the salmon, and my daughter chose chicken with a vodka sauce. Both of their entrées looked amazing. Now I'll look forward to my next visit.
