Duck, fried rice, curry and noodles

I ate there for lunch as soon as it opened. I ordered the char siu fried rice, duck lunch special, beef brisket curry and the crispy veggie noodles aka cake noodles. All items were delicious. The pieces of char siu in the fried rice were larger than what's traditionally offered in Chinese restaurants - it felt like a meal all in itself. Beef brisket was tender and I liked how the crispy noodles were both fried and softened by the broth. They opened the windows while I was there, which I particularly enjoyed. I would eat there again.

The food was amazing, great service and a lovely atmosphere. The dessert was some of the best I've had, The food, was so good that it satisfied the pickiest of eaters (an 8 year old girl that I've never ever seen eat as much as she did today) and food good enough that it was mostly gone before I could even get a picture in. Prices and portion sizes were very reasonable. The fried rice and the beef fried noodles were crowd pleasers. The tea smoked duck is so delicious.

It was really awesome to try so many different types of cider. We also enjoyed the well made vegan menu and shared: Burger with side of poutine - the burger was very tasty, and the fries were top notch. The mushroom gravy was a bit too heavy on the corn starch or whatever thickener they used, making it weirdly gummy, and was somewhat lacking in flavour. But otherwise this was quite good. Jackfruit Tacos - we ordered an extra one. This was decent, but a bit underwhelming for me. The ingredients were fresh. As for the Pottery Night, that was fun! Anais, who runs the event was very kind and patient, and gave us guidance along the way. I ran out of steam after making a few Christmas ornaments, so my husband used the rest of my clay for his projects (ashtrays). I recommend signing up the next time they do this!

If I had to find a fault I would say the fries could be a little crisper. They have 19 ciders on draught, which are available by the 12oz or as a 4x4oz flight. I recommend doing the flight, as there are so many delicious flavours of ciders that this is the best way to try many. There is a small outside patio, and reasonable sized seating area inside. We were there mid-week for a late lunch, so they werent too crowded, but I can imagine this place is very popular in the evening and weekends. It's also a convenient short walk to Kitsilano beach. What better way to cool off after some sun than some cold cider!

A big thank you to Mallory and the kitchen staff! This review is 3 months late, but even a few months later, we remember our meal like it was yesterday and can't wait to return the next time we're in Vancouver. Getting to experience a Michelin Guide-recommended vegan restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip! We had (from the June 2025 menu): the Bread, the Broccolini, the Chickpea Tofu, and the Potato Cavatelli. Not a single crumb, morsel, drizzle of sauce, or even pea was left on the plates! Every bite was so full of flavor and decadent, we were so sad when the meal was over ;) The stand-out though was the Chickpea Tofu, the best tofu we've ever had and it seemed to just melt in your mouth. We also loved sitting at the bar that overlooks the open kitchen. They offer those seats for guests who want a more immersive, interactive dining experience. It was really cool to watch the chefs create each masterpiece. Overall a truly memorable and delicious experience!

First off people here a genuinely friendly, big smiles from the lady Boss and warm welcome from other staffs once we stepped inside, menu is simple and yet full of choices! Since we love grilled meats, we decided to go for the Platter for 2, oh wow, when it came out, I thought I was Fred Flintstone! Anyways, I have not had pork in Greek cooking that often, and was eager to try their Pork Souvlaki, one bite and I am hooked ( not many Greek places offers pork on their menus ), other items on the platter : Chicken Souvlaki, grilled Lamb Shoulder, Beef Patties, Pork Sausages, all came fresh off the grill with delicious char flavours! Oh and their fresh cut fries are also outstanding! For $65.00 this is a great value for such a generous portion of quality meats! As for sweets, please please try their Portokalopita ( Greek Orange Cake ) its a super super moist orange cake that goes well with a cup of coffee! Our Server Jack makes you feel relaxed and also very helpful with giving you recommendations plus a sense of humour! Street paid parking available, and if you venture into the side streets you may find free parking on your lucky day!

What a lovely, authentic Greek restaurant!…read more I first heard of this place from one of my online Vancouver restaurant newsletters that I subscribe to (the article listed 12 local restaurants that locals want to keep private, to keep them all from getting too popular and crowded). It sounded great, and their website looked good, and the reviews here were excellent. So today we tried it out, visiting at an odd-ish time (4pm). The decor is fantastic. Stone walls, murals, a cozy fireplace at the front, a gorgeous bar, a cute patio, a large and open interior. The menu is not overwhelmingly large but large enough to have lots of options, mostly for traditional Greek fare (think: souvlakis, Greek salads, dips and pitas, various grilled seafoods, lamb dishes, etc). (Note: I did not see my favorite moussaka on the menu, surprisingly). We ordered and shared a trio of dips with warm pita, a chicken souvlaki and a plate of fries. Everything was fresh and delicious. The taramasalata dip was, for me, the hit of the show. Wow, was it good! (It tasted like the most delicious smoked salmon dip imaginable, with a bit of pink caviar on top). The breads were wonderful (pita and bruschetta slices). Even the fries were fresh and hot and perfectly cooked. (They also offer the typical lemony Greek potato wedges, if that's your preference). Our server was super nice and attentive. What was really awesome here was how they accommodate people with celiac issues. They always do their fried potatoes in a separate fryer so they are always gluten-free, and the server was very knowledgable about the ingredients in every dish. She even brought out a plate of cucumber spears so my celiac friend could enjoy the dips, too. Super thoughtful! I thought the prices here were quite reasonable. My only suggestion for this restaurant is: it'd be fantastic if they had some sort of happy hour specials. When we arrived today, there was only one other dining party out on the patio. The entire restaurant interior was empty, save for my dining party. I know 4pm is an odd time, but perhaps if they had a HH menu, they could get more people in the place at this hour. It was a little disconcerting, being the only occupied table in this large, open restaurant. Just a thought! That said, I'm already planning when to return with my daughter here for dinner as I know she will love this place!

I think I paid almost $27. I was really not impressed. The nugs. Tasted great. Half was still luke warm INSIDE the potatos so I'm guessing re heat on the pan etc. half hot. Half sorta warm. The bacon. Can anyone complain about bacon? It was great. The eggs... I liked the eggs but I wish they threw that on top of the bread. Because a wooden fork that doesn't pick up nothing. It was a mess to get the sunny off the take out container bottom. Otherwise the eggs was great. The toast... well I wasn't a fan of it. Maybe if it had been packed on the side in a bag I might of. I don't know. It wasn't great and it tasted sweet cuz of the salad they put on the other side of the bread in the box. I didn't like the salad. I don't like sweet salads and the dressing ruined the bread. Yep so the salad. The ingredients in the salad was fine. I just didn't like the dressing. Had this been dressing on the side I would have liked the salad. The avocado. I paid $3 for half an avocado. I wouldn't so much complain about that. If the whole meal itself wasn't such hit and miss. But overall. $27 including a $3 tip I was not impressed for what I got. And I'd dare say the highlight was the potatos even though half of the wasn't even hot. I would of really enjoyed the eggs if there was a way to get them on the toast (without the dressing contamination) without the egg breaking before I could get it on the toast (sunny side up) While I work practically next door, I can't say I would do this order again. Service was fast. For take out. Less than 10 mins. But I think I'd of prefer to wait 2 more mins if the potatos would of been reheated through

The menu changes constantly depending on what is fresh and in season. Take a look at my photos on this page to see the range. Last night an heirloom tomato and onion salad tasted like the last of summer exploding in our mouths. There are usually 4 - 6 different fresh pastas to choose from. We shared a halibut with tomato one and bolognese last night. These pastas are the definition of al dente. No place in Vancouver does it this well. There is an extensive wine list sure not to disappoint and make sure to start or finish with a cheese or two. The parmesan is mind blowing perfection. They don't take reservations and this outstanding restaurant is quite small and busy so be prepared for a wait. If you are going with a group larger than 2, the La Querica side does take reservations and I've found that to be an equally exceptional option. Just a little more casual on the L'ufficio side.
