If you know, you know -- The Crab Shack is tucked away in that back parking structure where Marie Callender's used to be, surrounded by a few other restaurants. It's one of those "low-key hidden but worth finding" spots. Don't let the location fool you! I went on a Tuesday during the week when it wasn't busy at all -- nice and chill vibes. But babyyy once 6 PM hit? Dinner time activated. The crowd definitely started rolling in and you could feel the energy shift. So just know traffic picks up later in the evening if you're planning a visit. Now let's get into what matters: The staff? Super attentive and kind. I love when servers check on you just enough without hovering. And the food came out HOT. Not warm. Not "it's been sitting." I'm talking steaming, fresh, straight-to-the-table heat -- which is exactly how a crab boil should hit. Portions were generous because I was overly stuffed and still had plenty left over for the next day (which honestly might be the best part). Nothing like reheating a seafood boil and running it back. Thank you for hosting me and my guest -- we had such a good experience. I'll definitely be back for my next crab boil fix lol

Excellent service from Karen and Dalia! Though today's shrimp is not that fresh, it's still taste good like any other day. Overall- this place is always amazing. Located in a commercial compound with numerous restaurants to choose from. Lots of dessert places to visit around the area. 2-19-2026

Well this review is long overdue. Been coming here since they first opened and have been a fan since. It had been a while since I've been back to this location as I prefer their other location on artesia that has much easier parking, but since it's closed for now as it seems, we came here instead to celebrate a birthday. We were seated quickly as we got there before the dinner rush which was nice as they don't take reservations. Ambiance is chill, like the theme of the place still. It could use a little TLC, but it did the job. Bathroom needs an upgrade, just be warned. The workers were nice. On to the food, it has consistently been flavorful and made with quality ingredients. This time around we went with combo number 2, fish basket, garlic fries, garlic noodles, and fresh oysters. Everything was delicious, the stand out to me was the garlic noodles, a little oily but flavor packed; we left satisfied. Still a fan, will be back when craving a seafood boil. Happy eats, loves! ^_^

Family dinner night for a birthday. Very excited to eat at this place because I love a good seafood boil and the crab delivered. Parking at this place definitely sucks lol Came in got a table right away before it got too busy. Service wasn't too bad although our waitress forgot our water. We ordered combo #2 with 2 pounds of shrimp and 1 pound mussels. We also tried their Garlic noodles, garlic fries and fried fish and fresh oysters. The seafood boils were good as expected, some places can overcook their shrimp which makes it mushy and harder to peel but these were perfect. But the real winner here was the oysters OMG!! Sooo goood, sooo fresh. It literally taste like the ocean. Tip: put tabasco and lime on them

I was craving a seafood boil and I found this place by accident. Not sure why the other ratings complained about the service, but we ordered to go and the service was great. I live in Rancho palos verdes and my food was still smoking hot when I got home. The prices are very reasonable and the sauce was great. Chunks of garlic and the perfect amount of spice (I got medium). I got 1lb of shrimp, corn, & potatoes and I still had food left after I was done. This location is with a bunch of other food spots so parking can be congested but the food is fire and worth it. Gardena has been showing out lately with the food spots. I recommend this location if you're looking for a seafood boil with lots of flavor!

Haven't been in awhile, the service was very good and our meal delicious. The one thing I wish they would do is place gliders or silencing bases on the chairs, the noise the chairs make when they move is cringe worthy, so much that I think I would rather order to-go than dine in. The staff are very personable, there were at least two servers on the floor who seemed to ensure each patron was attended to, it was very nice to see and experience... I just need the chairs not to be so noisy: metal chair on concrete floor totally messed with the ambiance, even over the two televisions that were showcasing two different sporting events. Otherwise a delightful afternoon.

Pretty good food. I had the crab shack fried rice (that didn't have any crab in it but had a nice mix of other seafoods and meats and was very light and had a good taste). Quick and kind service team. It wasn't the best seafood I ever had but it was wonderful and a great ambiance for a family meal.

The interior is neat and clean. There are various types of seating (bar; table; booth; high-tops; communal), and plenty of screens to watch sports. On this occasion, I ordered the Tavern Fish & Chips ($22). It is described as "Alaskan cod coated in a tempura beer batter and served with French fries, tartar sauce and yuzu herb coleslaw". The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's almost as if it was served just to optically balance the presentation in the basket. (See photo shared,) And while the price was not unreasonable, feel it's creeping towards expensive (relative to serving size). I'll attribute this to rising input costs. Staffing might be an issue during the lunchtime service. Service was okay, but they seemed to be understaffed. It's possible that most of their business is done after 5pm.

Party on Western is a hole‑in‑the‑wall dive bar in the most affectionate way possible. The kind of spot where the lights are dim, the playlist is fire, and the walls have definitely seen some things they'll never speak of again. You walk in and immediately feel like you've joined a secret society of people who just want good music, strong drinks, and zero judgment. People will always judge...who are we fooling. lol!! The playlist? It was on point for the spot, it wasn't just good, it was spiritually aligned with my bloodstream. Every song slapped. Every beat felt like it was personally trying to fix my life choices. I swear one track looked me dead in the eyes and whispered, "You're doing amazing, sweetie." Let's talk about these drinks because they were flirting with me HARD. * Jack on the Rocks, a simple classic that's smooth, cold, and acting like it knew me from a past life. It slid across the bar like, "Hey stranger... miss me?" * Chilled Tequila Shot...Wow, this one didn't flirt. This one grabbed me by the soul and said, "We're making memories tonight." * Jack & Coke, it was sweet, bold, and absolutely lying to me. It told me I was the main character. It told me I was unstoppable. It told me I could dance. It was wrong... but I believed it. Ha ha ha! By drink three, I was ready to text people I shouldn't and tell the bartender my entire life story. Didn't happen though. Ha ha ha! Oh wait a minute...I almost forgot...I ordered some hot wings to set the tone, and let me tell you, they came in HOT like they were auditioning for a music video. Perfect bar wings: messy, spicy, and exactly what you need to convince your stomach that the tequila was a good idea. Typical bar food across the board, nothing fancy, nothing pretentious, just the classics and messy at its best. But let's be real: the drinks are the main event. The food is just there to keep you from making catastrophic decisions. At one point I swear my Jack & Coke winked at me. The tequila shot told me I deserved happiness. The wings told me to stop being dramatic. And the playlist told me to live my truth. This bar didn't just serve me drinks, it emotionally supported me. For better or worse, get over it! We ordered the Clobster roll with fries, and I ordered the Connecticut Style lobster roll with no fries and a side salad. The side salad with ranch dressing definitely hit the spot! Unfortunately, the Cajun shrimp roll didn't do it for me. It needed more flavor and mostly tasted like mayo. After two bites, I decided not to eat it and gave it to my son. He enjoyed his meal, though! I also ordered another lobster roll to go, along with a soda and fries, for a friend of mine who works down the street at the barbershop. I was also gifted a juice and a huge cookie, which was a nice touch! If there's one thing I'd change, it would definitely be the bathroom.
