Horrible customer service over the phone.called around 6:25 pm this evening. Lady on the line said she can't hear me - bad reception. I hear her very well. She tells me to hang up and call right back that maybe reception will be better. Well, I've Called back 7xs - goes to voicemail but says VM not set up. Called again - phone rings rings rings - VM not set up etc - over and over All I wanted to do was place an order and ask a question. To the manager- please train your staff to be honest with customers! You've lost my business! read more

Somewhat of an underwhelming experience. There was only one server on staff and a busboy. Don't get me wrong it's not that they weren't working hard, just maybe not working efficiently. It's hard to get the servers attention, I had to get up to go to the counter to ask for something where they were chatting it up. Food was good, so nothing against the kitchen staff. For servers who end up getting the majority of tips to provide good customer service I do not think me giving 20% that day was worth the effort, I'm just hoping they give more to their kitchen who is doing their part in the restaurant. read more

I don't know what happened but I loved this place. I came in late evening today and it was very disappointing. Absolutely the worst costumer service. We were seated right away, the waiter took our order and #1 they didn't have eggs, no lemonade. She took our order. They didn't give any bibs. Handed us our food and didn't bother checking up on us. We had to get other servers to help us. When we were finished they didn't even bother giving us the hand towels to wipe our hands. They were too busy talking to each other. I was there to pick up an order and was not greeted by anyone at the front, no smile, no curtesy at all, once the cashier was done taking the other person's order, giving change to someone else, checking her phone and plugging it in she acknowledged me by asking "can I help you?" It felt like maybe she thought I was gonna ask for the bathroom? The entire interaction was very dry and uncomfortable, next time my family and I want seafood we will go somewhere else. Loved that they had combo meals so we got combo #2 which consist of snow crab and your option of 3 lbs of either mussels, whole shrimp, peeled shrimp, crawfish, or clams? We just did 3 lbs of shrimp and side order of garlic cajun fries. They didn't have michelada on the menu but what would a cajun meal be without beer? They used the Modelo Michelada beer and i doubt any clamato mixture within. Still good. Food was amazing. The crab meat was sweet and everything was cooked well. Our shrimp was not overcooked where the shell was stuck and hard to peel. The bag also included corn, potato and sausages which was even better for the price. Service was great. The cajun sauce was flavorful, spicy, and salty. I would've liked the bag to consist a little more cajun sauce but it was enough at the bottom. I also liked that they have a whole squeeze bottle of salt/pepper mixture as sometimes I feel like they don't give you enough salt/pepper. Good hearty high cholesterol dinner. I ordered the pound of shrimp last week, and unfortunately, the shrimp tasted old. I've been here a few times before, and it feels like the quality has been declining with each visit. The service has also taken a hit, the last two times we didn't receive our ice water until after we'd finished eating, even after asking multiple times. It didn't seem like the server's fault, as he looked overwhelmed and appeared to be juggling several roles at once. This seems more like a leadership or management issue that needs to be addressed. Don't waste your time eating here unless you like being disappointed and let down. Shrimps are way overcooked, it's so hard to peel the shrimp. Settled the seafood craving but definitely just OK. The pick-up process was seamless and efficient. Highly recommend calling ahead to place your order. This location is apart of strip mall but ample parking. What is nice about this franchise is that they offered pre-peeled shrimp. I ordered two pounds of pre-peeled shrimp in the spicy crab shack style. Taste was good but the spice was definitely lacking. Appreciated they threw in an extra corn to the order! Also ordered the Crab Shack Garlic Fries which was quickly devoured. My order was heavy on the garlic and could have used a tad bit more cajun seasoning but I'm happy they were freshly fried. If you want this taste sensation as well, get the mixed flavor and hottest spice - if you can handle it. Full of garlicky seasoning, couldn't get the shells off fast enough! My server was so helpful and accommodating while I tried to figure out my order. Giving a realistic expectation on the spice level while also allowing me to sample the sauce, she helped me make an informed decision on what to order. my mom and i have been a customer for years at this location mainly for to go orders and have never had a problem with our food. while customer service hasn't always been the greatest, especially when busy, i can confidently say we've never had an issue with our order. until today. before coming in, we tried calling in a couple times to place our order but got no answer, assuming it was busy and they're usually visibly short-staffed. we arrived and the first thing i noticed was compared to our frequent visits, it was not busy. parking lot was pretty empty, there was no line, no one sitting down waiting, and the volume of guests seemed tame, couldn't help but wonder why no one could answer the phone. we were then greeted by the host, Jade, only with "Is this To go?" "Yes" we confirm, "Let me know when you're ready to order" as someone who also works as a hostess at a seafood boil restaurant, we are known for our friendly etiquette and there could've been a warmer welcome and this hostess in particular had very low, dismissive energy but we didn't dwell on this. we placed our same order as we always do and had no issue from there. after about 15 minutes of waiting she goes to check on our order and a server comes out with our food, confirming the name of the order. i stand up to get the bag from him and he sets it down on the table with the menu on it in front of the host stand and walks away, odd. every other visit i've been kindly handed my food and wished a nice day but we didn't let this ruin our experience and as mentioned before, we've learned not to come for their customer service but for the food. otw home we decided to try their cajun fries for the first time and were a bit disappointed, but this wasn't a big deal. as we got home i noticed that the ticket on our bag had "no sauce" written in and we were confused, quickly checking to make sure our order was correct. we saw sauce in our bag and were relieved, that was until we took a bite. while the crab was great as usual, there was something very off about the sauce, despite the spice level and seasoning being correct on the ticket. my mom and i come to this location very often and know what our food is supposed to taste like, this was not it. the sauce noticeably had no cajun seasoning, leaving us with plain, flavorless, buttery tasting sauce. it honestly barely had any spice either. we were so confused because our order was repeated back to us correctly but this is what we were given. thankfully the crab was still good but for almost $130 this was incredibly disappointing and made it hard for us to enjoy the food, especially after lowering our expectations of poor and unprofessional customer service we received. in my opinion the sauce is what makes the meal and if it's messed up, ur meal is ruined. i don't ever write reviews but it's upsetting considering there's many reviews i could've written just based on the customer service here but didn't, and the food we got today for the price paid was unacceptable. i really hope the management here gets their staff together because this is not a good look. read more

Service was so horrible. Came here on Sept 21,2024 around 8:30pm. We waited to get seated for about 30-40min which wasn't bad. The lady with curly hair was really nice sitting us down and also the cashier! The guy who took our order was very rude. He was a Hispanic that had a neck tattoo and gold chains on. I didn't get his name cause I did not ask for a receipt nor bother to give him a tip!!! He took my order and I asked him if he can Separate the shrimp from the oyster. We entered the crazy busy parking lot and spotted a variety of restaurants to choose from along the strip mall. After reading several reviews, we chose this spot. With bibs provided, cozy seating, and tables topped with paper, I had a feeling that we had a messy meal ahead. We chose the number 3 combo for $80, which included 1.25 lbs of King Crab and our choice of mussels (1 lb), clams (1lb). The meal also included sausage, potatoes, and corn. You have an opportunity to also choose the spice level. We chose mild and the crab shack style flavoring and found that it was definitely verging on medium. The food arrives in a big bag that is dropped on the table and cut open. The crab legs were meaty and the entire meal was flavorful. It was shared amongst 3 people, with leftovers for the next day. The negative, we asked for a crab cracker, and the server told us he could only find one available. We had to share it amongst 3 people. Also, the plastic utensils given were not appropriate for the meal. Overall, good service and the food was definitely worth repeating. *Don't forget to check in. Went there for a friend's birthday and The prices have gone up a lot but let's start off with ordering ordering. My friend wanted hot water and lemon they had no hot water. I ordered a unsweetened tea which didn't taste too much like anything. They didn't have any sweetener so I just end up ordering a Diet Coke. I ordered a pound of garlic butter shrimp and snow crab with 3 corns & potatoes with the mild spice on the side. My friend ordered 1 of the combos 1pound of snow cab and 2 pounds if shrimp and that comes with 2 corns, potatoes and sausage. This establishment just wants to overcharge you instead of focusing on customer satisfaction. How ridiculous can you be to not mention your combo options to your customers over the phone and just give me attitude by saying "well our menu is online." Ummmm... yeah but maybe having some values and better customer service will get you further in life as well. It was my first time ordering food here and I specifically stated over the phone that I have never dined there before. I went ahead and ordered a pound of shrimp, a pound of crawfish, garlic fries, one corn and one order of sausage. The total came to $52 but when we went to pick up our order, I saw that they offered combo options. Combo option 1 had the option of choosing 3 different seafood options for a pound each with corn, potatoes and sausages included which would mean I could've gotten 3 pounds of food instead of 2 for essentially the same price. Can someone explain to me why the girl who took my order didn't mention this to me? When I asked if I could change my order, she went to the bar area and then came back and said their manager wasn't there and they couldn't cancel my order or change it. We asked if we could just add in the extra pound then and she was very argumentative and not helpful. We didn't even get greeted by anyone when we entered and actually had to wave someone down to help us after standing there for 5 minutes. Haven't been here in a while and I now know why. THE SERVICE SUCKS! Came on a Saturday night at 6:45 pm and it wasn't that busy. The area where EVERYONE working there has to pass to go to and from the kitchen. Someone put water on our table and walked away without saying ANYTHING! After about ten minutes, I watched three groups of people come in get seated, served water, and get their order taken. Servers walked by us like we weren't there. The table next to me was cleared and I asked the guy clearing it if he could find someone to take our order. He said no one has taken your order. I said No! Since he was the same guy (Timmy N.) working the front desk he said he would take our order. ***Timmy NEVER wore a MASK the entire time we were in the restaurant. *** He went and got a order pad and took our order. My son ordered Calamari & Cajun Fries as an appetizer. For an entree he ordered a pound of Mussels and a side of rice and a Pirate Booty to drink.. I ordered a pound of shrimp shell on with potatoes, corn, & sausage and a side of rice. A few minutes later some random girl came by and put condiments on the table, gave us bibs, and placed a taped receipt on on our the end of the table that had out order on it. Another five minutes later some random person placed the Pirate Booty on the table. My son was upset because it didn't contain the drinks signature dry ice mist emitting from the carafe. The fifth random person came by and dropped off our bags of food. I told her that we ordered appetizers and rice too. She hunched her shoulders and came back later with two containers of rice. I asked her again about the Calamari and Fries and she they should be out soon. Timmy came back about ten minutes later and my son told him that he didn't receive his appetizers. Timmy questioned us as to how long we've had the entrees. We told him about 15 minutes. He goes in the back and says it will be out in 8 minutes. My son was already done with his rice and mussels. Ten minutes later Timmy appears with our appetizers. By this time we were ready to go. My son ate a few fries and calamari and asked another random server for a to go box. As we were packing up our food. Timmy came back with the check. I put a $100 dollar bill on top of the check at the end of the table. No one was coming to get it. As the table next to us was settling their bill, their server asked if I wanted her to take my bill. I told her I don't care who takes it, I have to pay it! She took it and never came back. Timmy came back again to clean the same table next to us that he'd cleaned when we first came by an hour earlier. He asked if we needed something else. I told him no, I'm just waiting for my change. He asked who did I give it to and I told him that I've had several random people come to our table. I don't know who took my bill. All I want is my CHANGE! He started asking different servers who took my money. SMH! About another five minutes later someone came and gave my son my change. I got up and left! I did NOT leave a tip because I did not receive an adequate level of service. No greeting, no someone will be with you, no acknowledgement. I was at the table that NO ONE wanted to provide service to! By the time we had received service, our food, and the check. The table next to us had had three groups of patrons - one when we got there, one that came in after us, and one while I was waiting to receive my change. TL;DR version: good food, but needs better management (service greatly lacking). When we arrived, the first question we asked ourselves was, "Are there any servers here?" It was a Friday night around 8:00, and the restaurant was busy. There were a number of tables around us who were waiting to get their bill and check out. The host who seated us ended up taking our order because he recognized that we had been waiting for a while (he was the most helpful person there). Over the course of the evening, we asked for cocktail sauce that was never brought to us, and we had to ask three different people for gloves before finally getting them. When paying our bill up front, the cashier paid almost no attention to us, and was instead communicating with her coworkers. After spending $$$ on oysters and king crab legs and trying to enjoy a nice evening out, it was a bit disappointing, to say the least. The one asset the restaurant possesses is the food. The seafood is well-seasoned, and we were satisfied with the portion. The cooks are doing a great job. The other locations may be better, but the manager here needs to be replaced. It seems like they are not training their servers well. Everyone was apathetic and not paying attention to their tables. Maybe they are not being provided with enough incentives to do better. I particularly enjoy this location as the staff is typically very friendly and it is a nice hidden gem. Don't come here - especially if you have an allergy request: Service overall was slow and inattentive. Our original server Rafael was the worst (I say original because he only took or order and gave us the food but didn't come back to check in on us and we were helped by the other servers which we appreciated) On their menu they had condiments for 50 cents such as Tatar Sauce, Cocktail Sauce. When I placed my order I asked for cocktail sauce but he said they didn't serve that even though it was on their menu and I saw other tables have it. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt and ordered the tartar sauce. However, when I asked another server for cocktail sauce, he delivered it. Additionally, I have a dairy allergy which usually means when I come to seafood boils with friends or family I order my seafood steamed with no sauce. My order came out with garlic butter seasoning which I didn't know until I got to the bottom of the bag as that was where the sauce sits and garlic butter is typically pretty clear until you get to the bottom) Additionally we order fries as our appetizer which came out 15 minutes after seafood was delivered. When we asked him about the fries we ordered, he seemed like he forgot to put it in and asked us again which fry we ordered. Not sure if it was pure laziness or if he was new but overall the experience here was poor and we will not be coming back.
