The Cracked Egg Cafe is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. The breakfast is delicious, hearty, and portions so generous I ordered from the kids' menu. It also won't break the bank, which is a rarity nowadays. We walked in late morning on a gorgeous Saturday and were able to snag a table outside. Except very friendly staff, and on a beautiful day, definitely sit outside.

Cute tiny spot we popped into for breakfast . Very affordable cute menu you have enough options to choose. He sat at the counter service is great. Breakfast was hot and yummy. Only complaint was that it was slightly cold, but I would deaf. Try it again.

    Big Portions!

Stopped in for a Breakfast and was very pleased with the portions and food quality. I would recommend this place and consider coming back again.

TLDR: EAT HERE OR YOU'LL MISS OUT! On our way back to Philly from AC we stopped by this quaint breakfast spot I found on Yelp. 4.5 reviews and no slot machines or casino overstimulation, count me in! SO glad we stopped. 4 people ahead of us and we were seated in maybe 15 minutes. Our server Lindsay greeted us warmly. She was so friendly and had me at "pumpkin chocolate chip pancakes with house made cinnamon butter". WOWZERS those babies were thick like me! Delicious (also like me!). All of the food was excellent and you can expect hearty servings! This is a family owned and run business. Coco is the chef and a one man show in the kitchen. Let me tell you that we got our food faster here than we did at a casino restaurant the night before where they have a full kitchen staff. Food is excellent! Service is excellent! Conversation and hospitality excellent! And the prices...what's better than excellent...superb! Will be back for sure!

Old school breakfast spot with a slamming breakfast! Glad we got there early because it got busy. The omelette were so good and they did the home fries extra crispy. The Belgian waffle was ok. They refilled the coffee without asking. Service was attentive and felt very "homey" in there.

This is the 2nd time I've eaten here and the 1st time to review. A classic little breakfast spot right in our own backyard! It's a tiny place filled to the brim with people and stuff. I had "The Crackin" which was a tasty breakfast sandwich with egg, american cheese, bacon and home fries on a Kaiser roll. My friend had a breakfast platter with 2 eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. Everything thing was hot, fresh and delicious. We both had a nice cup of coffee as well. Service was kind and very attentive. The bill was only $23. I literally did a double take. What a bargain! Highly recommended.

Amazing brunch place and enjoyed the counter top seats and watched the cook flipped pancakes and eggs like a carnival show. The dishes we ordered such as the Breakfast Binge were excellent and a great portion. I ate a good amount and took the rest for next day breakfast. We totally enjoyed the conversation and the heart of the owner who rejected the tip we offered but asked we share it with his employees. Not a problem for such great service and food.

Had to give the Cracked Egg Cafe after seeing the positive reviews of this breakfast joint. The Food: I went with "The Breakfast Binge" as my entree with a side of scrapple. Firstly, the portions are huge! When I first saw the plate, there was so much on the plate! The proteins were cooked nicely and the eggs were cooked very well. Not over done or dry at all. The homefries were cooked with a nice crisp/soft ratio too. The Service: Service was great! Staff were friendly and attentive. No complaints. To pay, you just go up to the register. The Atmosphere: Its a nice and small cafe. You're met with the hosts outside to be seated, and depending what's available (Outdoor, bar or tables) you'll be brought in. Overall, a 5/5. I thoroughly enjoyed my time eating breakfast here. The service was nice and quick and the food was well cooked.

We had no wait for a table around noon, although they were briskly busy on this holiday. Our server was relaxed and not bothered by the commotion, took his time and helped us through our choices. No brunch cocktails for us, we dug right in to meals. I chose the peach burrata caprese salad plate with a side of blackened chicken breast. Although the menu said the peaches would be grilled, they were cold. Perfectly ripe and firm, a great sweet contrast to the balsamic vinegar drizzle. Creamy burrata, basil, and sliced grape tomatoes rounded out the plate. This was a superb salad. The grilled chicken was a $6 add and came on a separate plate. Generous sized, the breast was well seasoned and tender. We took some home with spouse's plentiful potatoes from the skillet. Spouse went with the meat lovers skillet with scrambled eggs and wheat toast. The skillet had ham bacon sausage and cheddar cheese with a huge pile of potatoes and two scrambled eggs. It also included wheat toast. This was a lot of food! This is a bright, well lit, smartly decorated restaurant, where I would love to have spent time at happy hour. Good service, good food, not overpriced at all. Maybe another visit next time we're in New Jersey!

I've always known the Place as Joe Joe's; a little out of the way for locals only. New owners as of July of this year and I've seen a lot of cars outside so when my Uncle wanted to go out for lunch I thought why not. The new owners have done a remarkable cleanup so the place is bright and airy. Kind of throwback booths that are really narrow if you have a waist bigger than 40 inches, however there are tables available and counter seating. This is a laid back place so don't be in a real hurry. Menu is really basic breakfast stuff and primarily sandwiches for lunch. Check menu since it may change. Several specials on the board Kind of in between lunch and breakfast so I got a ham and cheese omelet with some onions with grits. Omlet and grits were good. More than enough for me. Uncle got a daily special of cup of crab soup and half of corned beef sandwich. He really liked the sandwich and amount of corned beef. Said soup was good and spicy. He likes spice so perfect for him. My wife got bowl of lima bean soup and she said it was very good. My Aunt got a tuna sandwich. She must have liked it because there was nothing left. Two coffees and two sodas. Bill came to $31 so no objection there. This is a basic coffee shop/restaurant that draws primarily on locals and passing motorist. Probably a lot of duck hunters and fishermen in the area too. Like I said; laid back so don't be in a rush.

Served quickly and hot in a big, wide bowl. It looked good. Had small, irregularly sized potatoes and chopped carrots. The broth was a little thicker than I imagined or had tasted before in other restaurants, or in the one I make. Clams were tiny and, as you'd expect from a can. Not fresh clams. In fact, you can put all the clams found in chowder in a single tablespoon. Even found a whole bay leaf in it, which should have been removed before serving it. So, how is the chowder? I've had better from canned chowder, and the one I make is way better. Zero stars for the chowder. Next up is the Turkey platter with sliced turkey (hard and dry), 1 ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes (ok, nothing special), 1 ice cream scoop of stuffing (totally disgusting, and had corn in it), string beans (with vine still attached), gravy (terrible), and a little cup of cranberries (decent). Total fail. The waitress was ok, though stopping by every 5 minutes to ask if everything was good was quite annoying. The 'ice water gentleman' was great. You never asked for water, and when the glass was 1/2 empty, he was there refilling it. Great job! The final score of 2 stars is for the historic inn's ambiance and layout.
