Cute tiny spot we popped into for breakfast . Very affordable cute menu you have enough options to choose. He sat at the counter service is great. Breakfast was hot and yummy. Only complaint was that it was slightly cold, but I would deaf. Try it again.

TLDR: EAT HERE OR YOU'LL MISS OUT! On our way back to Philly from AC we stopped by this quaint breakfast spot I found on Yelp. 4.5 reviews and no slot machines or casino overstimulation, count me in! SO glad we stopped. 4 people ahead of us and we were seated in maybe 15 minutes. Our server Lindsay greeted us warmly. She was so friendly and had me at "pumpkin chocolate chip pancakes with house made cinnamon butter". WOWZERS those babies were thick like me! Delicious (also like me!). All of the food was excellent and you can expect hearty servings! This is a family owned and run business. Coco is the chef and a one man show in the kitchen. Let me tell you that we got our food faster here than we did at a casino restaurant the night before where they have a full kitchen staff. Food is excellent! Service is excellent! Conversation and hospitality excellent! And the prices...what's better than excellent...superb! Will be back for sure!

Old school breakfast spot with a slamming breakfast! Glad we got there early because it got busy. The omelette were so good and they did the home fries extra crispy. The Belgian waffle was ok. They refilled the coffee without asking. Service was attentive and felt very "homey" in there.

This is the 2nd time I've eaten here and the 1st time to review. A classic little breakfast spot right in our own backyard! It's a tiny place filled to the brim with people and stuff. I had "The Crackin" which was a tasty breakfast sandwich with egg, american cheese, bacon and home fries on a Kaiser roll. My friend had a breakfast platter with 2 eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. Everything thing was hot, fresh and delicious. We both had a nice cup of coffee as well. Service was kind and very attentive. The bill was only $23. I literally did a double take. What a bargain! Highly recommended.

Amazing brunch place and enjoyed the counter top seats and watched the cook flipped pancakes and eggs like a carnival show. The dishes we ordered such as the Breakfast Binge were excellent and a great portion. I ate a good amount and took the rest for next day breakfast. We totally enjoyed the conversation and the heart of the owner who rejected the tip we offered but asked we share it with his employees. Not a problem for such great service and food.

Had to give the Cracked Egg Cafe after seeing the positive reviews of this breakfast joint. The Food: I went with "The Breakfast Binge" as my entree with a side of scrapple. Firstly, the portions are huge! When I first saw the plate, there was so much on the plate! The proteins were cooked nicely and the eggs were cooked very well. Not over done or dry at all. The homefries were cooked with a nice crisp/soft ratio too. The Service: Service was great! Staff were friendly and attentive. No complaints. To pay, you just go up to the register. The Atmosphere: Its a nice and small cafe. You're met with the hosts outside to be seated, and depending what's available (Outdoor, bar or tables) you'll be brought in. Overall, a 5/5. I thoroughly enjoyed my time eating breakfast here. The service was nice and quick and the food was well cooked.

Stopped in on our way back from Atlantic City. Food and service were great. We'll definitely be back.

    Cook working tirelessly.

Stopped in around 11am on Friday morning. The restaurant was packed which is good sign. Sat at the counter and watched the cook work tirelessly to prepare the orders. The downfall was our waitress an older lady who complained the whole time and obviously didn't want to wait on us. The cook even served our food. She never once asked if everything was OK or if we needed anything? Just acted like we weren't there. The food was good, and the other two waitresses serviced they're tables very well. One and done for us!

Sausage, scrambled eggs & provolone on an everything bagel (make your own breakfast sandwich) to go
    Vicell M.

I ordered the make-your-own-sandwich to go (sausage, 2 scrambled eggs & provolone on an everything bagel. This place was packed at 10am. There were probably 20 seats max, but the wait for people didn't seem bad. I needed to head on the road, so I needed my bagel fix, and this sounded like the spot. The staff, I would say, seems stressed out even though there seems to be at least 2-3 of them for the few tables. The rudest was this lady, but I'm not dining in, so I would feel bad for those she was waiting on. The one guy who knew what he was doing and seemed to be managing everything, including having to jump on the line to cook, was amazing. Too bad I didn't get to get his name. If this place falls apart, it would definitely be poor customer service, with the exception of that one guy who may have been the owner. Now for my bagel, it was yum. They did forget to put the ketchup I asked for specifically, but I didn't bother. The sausage was nice, the eggs were fluffy, the provolone was melted, and the bagel was Overall, yum! For a little over $9, it's a bit high if you think of what you can get at a local bagel joint but got to support these hidden gems! Overall, I might be back next time if I'm in the area. Would I drive all the way out of my way for it, nope.

Since we are talking about five years since my last review I am guessing the "leave them alone so that they can talk" philosophy of restaurant service is an institutional policy. Frankly, the service was better than the 2017 review but please we should not have to leave the table and walk into another area of the restaurant to find our server to ask to have our water glasses refilled. And, the kid from the land of the dead whom I at first thought was a customer lost attempting to find his parents was actually an employee. Someone at my table suggested I ask him for a refill of the water as he slowly walked by in a half stupor but I said "If he worked here he'd at least remove the completed soup bowls from our table (They remained until the entire meal was finished.)." I discovered later when he returned to clean a table top that he actually was an employee who might have been trained to notice diners in need of water or he could have actually said "Good evening, I have noticed your water glasses have nothing in them ... might I refill them for you?" But, then again perhaps its institutional policy. Having gotten that out of the way I have to say I was very impressed by the new entranceway, which replaced the old wooden railings that I remember front he splinters in my hand. It is a very attractive entrance and as always, noted in my prior review, you are greeted warmly and feel very welcome as you walk into this very attractive restaurant. The menu has changed since we were last here. We all agreed that it appears to have been reduced in offerings and in variety but that did not stop us from finding something. Clearly when you see the four stars and if you have reached this point of the review you have noted negatives but yet 4 stars. The food is delicious and well conceived! We didn't get anything extravagant but the French Onion Soup was truly special both visually and more importantly its blend of flavors along with the nice presence of perfectly cooked onions made those who ordered the soup very happy campers (Ok,, that's a phrase ... we are not camping out in the winter.). The sandwich was accompanied by some of the best "chips" we have ever had (All too often restaurants in their attempt to save money rather than offering French fries created chips that are burnt, overly salted or otherwise inedible.) and we all were reaching over to make sure not a speck was left. I ordered the Sweet Chili Signature Chicken Salad (Romanelli's has always been known for their awesome salads!), which was perfect for me but .... If you don't like Asian-style chili garlic sauce be forewarned that this salad's going to do more than tingle your tongue ... you are going to need water to cool it down and you already read about the lack of water refills. The chicken was perfectly cooked ... the croutons had me searching for more, and the blend of flavors made this a fantastic filling meal but .... As we left and I talked about the "heat" of my salad someone asked "Where was the bread or the rolls with dinner?" Where indeed was the bread basket that one used to receive as a guest at Romanelli's? Yes, COVID and increased costs have forced restaurants to save dollars wherever they could but we had folks with soup and me with a salad so a small dinner roll or a nice piece of bread would have been perfect but alas no bread. The menu features all those fabulous omelettes that make Romanelli's a great stop for breakfast (I wonder if you get toast or coffee refills.)! And, I am sure we will be back but next time I might ask that the water pitcher be left on the table when ordering so that the server will realize that many people need more than one glass of water with their meal especially if the water is their choice of beverage for the evening, afternoon, or morning.

Good food for the price. Service was excellent . They have a neat little bar . Bartender is friendlyread more

Served quickly and hot in a big, wide bowl. It looked good. Had small, irregularly sized potatoes and chopped carrots. The broth was a little thicker than I imagined or had tasted before in other restaurants, or in the one I make. Clams were tiny and, as you'd expect from a can. Not fresh clams. In fact, you can put all the clams found in chowder in a single tablespoon. Even found a whole bay leaf in it, which should have been removed before serving it. So, how is the chowder? I've had better from canned chowder, and the one I make is way better. Zero stars for the chowder. Next up is the Turkey platter with sliced turkey (hard and dry), 1 ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes (ok, nothing special), 1 ice cream scoop of stuffing (totally disgusting, and had corn in it), string beans (with vine still attached), gravy (terrible), and a little cup of cranberries (decent). Total fail. The waitress was ok, though stopping by every 5 minutes to ask if everything was good was quite annoying. The 'ice water gentleman' was great. You never asked for water, and when the glass was 1/2 empty, he was there refilling it. Great job! The final score of 2 stars is for the historic inn's ambiance and layout. We won't be back, and do not recommend.
