My husband could not stop raving about the "Dip It". My daughter and I had the vegan chicken sandwich. It was full of flavor and came with all the toppings. We ordered dessert, which was out of this world!!! it was a cheesecake with brownie chunks and caramel drizzled on top. Although they were busy, the staff was polite, helpful, and very attentive. This is a great restaurant with great food and staff when I visited in June 2021. My friends and I had just finished backpacking in Kings Canyon, so per tradition, it was time to gain back all the calories we lost! I can't quite remember what they ordered, but I got the western-style burger. The bartender/server was accommodating with my requests: vegetarian patty, no bacon, and extra shoestring onions. I just told him in conversation that I love those onion in a burger, but he took it a step further and asked the cook to throw in extra for me. On top of that, the tater tots were bomb. My friends loved their burgers although one mentioned that the ghost pepper jack cheese wasn't spicy enough. The side salad and fries were also yummy. We tried The Craft House for the first time over the weekend. My parents were in town to celebrate my Birthday. Upon entering, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome from the owner. We were seated promptly. It was a Saturday evening around 7:30pm. It was a smaller restaurant but that's never bothered me. Some of the best restaurants I've been to are very small inside. It was not overly busy and crowded but there were still plenty of customers in there. Nice clean decor, kind of reminds me of industrial modern. It was casual but not overly casual. The ambiance was relaxed and not too loud and over stimulating. Our waitress took great care of us and was very attentive with a warm and pleasant attitude. Now for the food! First things first, everything was absolutely delicious. For an appetizer we ordered Braised pork belly and blue cheese fries. These were perfect, the fries were perfect, nice and crispy on the outside and soft non the inside, not dry at all. They also had great flavor, the blue cheese was nicely melted and the pork was extremely tender. The appetizer was flavorful and a great way to start our meal. My husband ordered Braised pork belly sliders and although I didn't try them, I will say they were delicious because he said so. He thoroughly enjoyed them and said he would put this restaurant in his top 5. He also loved his rosemary sauce and so did I. My stepdad ordered Chicken and waffles, he loved them. I took a bite of his chicken which was juicy and tender, with great flavor, and also a little crispy on the outside. I did not try his waffles but he said the amount of syrup and flavor was just right. He loved his meal. He said the food reminded him of a highly rated restaurant called The Chef's Table where he lives. I ordered the Caprese fillet mignon tacos and I very much enjoyed them. The filet minion was of course, very tender and juicy. There was great flavor in these little tacos and they were actually filling. Simply put, if you like Caprese salad or Caprese bruschetta, you will love this. It tasted fresh and just like a caprese dish. The Chipotle sauce was delicious and had a nice little kick to it. I ate most of my fries which I never do. I actually do not like fries but the fries at this restaurant are not greasy nor are they dry. They are perfect with a little flavor, a light crispy crunch and tender on the inside. My Mom ordered Crab cakes and greens. She's always likes to order salads or healthier dishes. She really enjoyed her meal. I took a little bite of her crab cakes and they tasted good to me. If I were to order a salad, I don't think crab cakes would be my first choice especially after seeing that Venice salad on their menu but hey if you like crab cakes then I'm sure you'll enjoy this dish. We ordered Chicken strips for our toddler and he really enjoyed them, actually we all enjoyed sneaking some chicken from his plate since it was such a generous portion for such a little eater. There were 3 fairly large chicken strips, perfectly crispy and moist on the inside. Funny, I am always on the hunt for good chicken strips and these will be added to my list. The ranch dressing was also delish. At the end our waitress brought out a little ice cream for me to say happy birthday. I thought that was a nice ending. Overall the food was excellent, the service was superb and the owner was very kind. The atmosphere was nice & relaxed. The selection of food on their menu was great and there was something for everyone. We enjoyed our experience here and will certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Honestly I was looking forward to eating here. I was on a date expecting exactly what the reviews on this establishment said but was completely let down on every level. We were quickly greeted and sat and from there it went down hill completely. It took our waitress atleast 10 minutes to even come to our table and even longer to bring us the waters we ordered. We watched the owner go table to table and skip ours multiple times. We finally ordered our food and could've finished the Titanic before it was plated and placed on the table. I dug in immediately as I was beyond hungry after walking the down town farmers market all day. I was highly impressed with the tater tots and than I bit into the meat. It was beyond awful to say the least. Completely rare and squishy as if I was eating a chunk of kids slime. Was not the experience I wanted what so ever. I asked very nicely to be remade and my date waited patiently as they made it. Finally another Harry Potter novel later it arrived with the same exact issues. But this time even the tots where nasty. We both agreed to leave neither of us ate half of anything we ordered. They took off my meal from the bill. We paid the rest and left immediately. It was definitely an experience I never want to have again and I highly suggest they do a little better for the customers who decide to try this place. Giving them 2 stars for simple fact that the waitress was nice and tried her best even with tje experience we were having. Now this fine establishment has served the meal of the week thus far on my family's visit to California. Top notch service including from the owner. Excellent beer selection including a lot of local brews. High quality food. My Bourbon Meat Monster was one of the top 10 burgers I have enjoyed, no doubt. They have an excellent selection of food for both meat and non-meat eaters. Being a pescatarian puts me squarely in the middle and so there were definitely terrific options for me. Son is definitely a meat eater so no problem for him. Started with a Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Stout on Nitro. I always call this (and Campfire Stout) great starter stouts, as well as great summer stouts. So it served it's purpose. Son got a light colored beer in which I had no interest and so forgot the name, but he liked it :-) Moved onto the crispy chicken sandwich for him, and the crusted seared ahi salad for me. Both were very good. The only complaint on the salad is a "me" thing - I read shaved brussels sprouts as part of the salad, and literally didn't notice the word "shaved" so thought I was getting actual brussels sprouts in some whole form...like the asparagus. Before ordering, even said to son "wow - ahi, asparagus and brussels sprouts in one dish...I'm in heaven!" So when it arrived, and they were shaved in the salad bed, I had that moment of disappointment and quickly realized my lack of correct reading...but they were still good. It was our first time back since COVID craziness hit, and it was just as good as it always was! This family owned, family run restaurant never disappoints. The tables were spaced appropriately for social distancing, the staff was all masked and everything was disinfected after each party. The beer selection was good as it always is, and featured several local beers on tap. My favorite Caprese Filet Mignon tacos were delicious, tender & tasty, and the Dip, which we've never tried, was so good! Loaded with meat, mushrooms and flavor! The fried chicken was crispy. The Venice Beach Muscle Buster $15.00 salad was okay, but the lettuces used are all very soft. I really wish that I could speak positively on this place because I have been wanting to try it for so long. Unfortunately, our experience was quite the opposite. I had gone with some friends to celebrate a friend's birthday. When we initially got there things seemed fine and enjoyable. However, as time in the restaurant went on we realized that there had been a lack of any service period. Our waiter had checked on us for a total of about 3 times our whole experience. For the drinks, for our order, and if our food was good. We had ordered our food and waited until it came. As time went on we saw parties getting seated after us, served before us, and left before our order even came. We had waited for our food for over an HOUR. There had been no people checking up on us or our orders. Instead they had just walked past our table making direct eye contact and continuing to check on/ serve other people. It had gotten to the point where we were starving and debating on just paying for our drinks and going to the burrito place down the street. At this restaurant you can see in the kitchen. It is so apparent that there is a lack of urgency from every single chef and every single staff member. They went around offering refills to everyone else and feeding them food as we watch and was not offered anything. At the end, we were so over it. The food was not good and OVERPRICED. For half the price I can get better food AND ANY sort of service in Old Town Clovis. The waiter pushed us to the side so much they did not even give us our bills in the end. Instead we went to the front ourselves, paid, and immediately left. I and everyone else I was with agreed we would never want to come back again. Waste of time and money. Had our first magical visit at The Craft House this evening! WOW! we started with a crispy little wonton that was filled with cream, cheese, jalapeños, and bacon. It was out of this world, The main course was outstanding, we shared and indulged in the Hog Wedge salad with delicious pork belly, crispy sweet onions , jalapeños and an amazing Sriracha ranch dressing!
