Sunday Brunch Buffet... for the price, there's nothing comparable in the area. There's a variety of choices on the buffet, ranging from a made to order omelet station to fried chicken. Most of the pans are usually filled, sometimes too quickly. The food can be very bland, prepared without much care. The salad bar is definitely the best, there are lots of options to make your own great salad. It's a family friendly restaurant and the servers are usually pretty good.

Met up with my whole family the day after thanksgiving. (7 of us) It wasn't busy which was nice. Got seated right away. Our waitress was incredible the entire lunch/dinner service. I always pass this place on the was between visiting family in winston salem and Cary where I live. It's got a big bar with tvs on. The dining area has a wonderful charm. Over by the salad bar you get a view of the grill / kitchen area behind glass. It's cool to see them slinging steaks back there. For starters I got the French onion soup. It was so good I forgot to take a picture of it lolz for my mains I got the 10oz ribeye, a baked potato and a single trio to the salad bar. The ribeye was cooked perfectly. The salad bar had all my favorite salad options. All in all definitely recommend.

Good food. Good service. That's harder to find these days, and the stop here is worth it.

I can't remember our waiter, but he was great. We started with the fried pickles, they were very salty but in a good way. Something you definitely eat while drinking. I had the NY steak cooked to medium and it was cooked to perfection! With a side of broccoli and baked potatoes. I was a little weary when we went to pack up the rest of the fried pickles and under the parchment paper was a French fry. Made me wonder do they wash and clean them or just throw parchment paper in the basket. All in all it was a good visit. I would definitely be back.

However there was an issue with almost every order. My parents were with us and my mom had to send her steak back to be cooked more. I had a 20oz bone in rib eye and it had about every temperature cook possible. Some of it was rare all the way up to a good part of it was well done. My oldest son ordered the mini burgers and couldnt chew and swallow them because of how dry they were so we sent them back and they re cooked them. They were more burnt the second time. They did take it off the cost of our order but then the bills get into a whole different issue. My parents had a coupon for free appetizer which they didnt take off and they had to adjust and then our bills was about $52 and we had a $50 gift card and for some reason only $36.99 was take. Off via the gift card and the waitress didnt give it back to us. We have the gift card receipt that says it had $50 on it so we were out about $13. I dont know if she didnt run the card right or mis charged us or what. We should have looked more thoroughly and didnt notice till we had left. We trusted they deducted the $50. We left a good tip (my parents and I because service was good but now feel like maybe they stole $13 from us). The place was extremely loud which wasn't a great atmosphere for the whole family (our 4 year old and 5month old struggled). We were happy to get out of there but regretted the choice to go. Didnt help I was there for my birthday either.

There was an employee there chit chatting with a customer while we waited. She then walked away and said someone would be with us shortly. The stand was unattended and we weren't even sure we were in the correct spot. The opposite lot was full so we parked on the south side and thankfully got it right. It would be helpful to mark the entrance in case we parked the opposite side. The turn in going south has one turn on the opposite end. Plenty of parking. The place looks brand new: nice decor. Server Chelsea was very nice and helpful. She got a chicken pasta Alfredo and I got a shrimp and crab cake sandwich. The pasta was way overdone and mushy. It was even very watery. The chicken was sweet. Sweet chicken and Alfredo was pretty terrible. They said all the chicken has the sweet marinade. They should have specified that on the menu because we would have never ordered sweet chicken especially not with Alfredo sauce. The dish in my opinion was pretty bad. I would give that a 1.5/5. Mine was decent. I liked the dill sauce. The bun was sweet and small for the patty but it was ok. The fries were over salted but they came out piping hot and fresh. Would I eat there again? Probably not. It's a small menu with a lot of chicken dishes. Their signature sweet chicken sauce was a turn off for both of us. It was reasonably priced and the server was nice. Overall I have to give the place a 3.5/5. The waiting when we went in and having ro listen to an employee chatting with her friend was off putting while we waited. Had she acknowledged and said someone was coming would have been fine but she completely ignored us until she finished her conversation before saying anything and that was a good 2-3 minutes. The food was a 2.5/5 and the service from Chelsea was excellent. I can't say the same for the lady that ignored us. I give it a 3/5 for that reason. Rounding it up to 4 only because it was so clean and Chelsea's attendance

We made same day reservations a few hours in advance because we figured it would get crowded with Elon parents visiting their kids. I'm glad we did because it was packed 15 minutes after we sat down. Hostess was kind with greeting us and sat us down right away when we arrived. My husband ordered the shrimp & grits and I ordered the pancakes with sausage. Food came within 15 minutes. The pancakes were fluffy and the sausage was nicely cooked. Service was great and one of the servers made sure to keep my water glass filled. The Mark at Elon is very pretty inside. They have a private parking lot outside reserved for Inn guests and we were able to park there because we were at the restaurant. I would recommend this place if you have guests in town and want something slightly nicer than your typical breakfast diner. They do serve lunch and dinner here too, but I can't speak on that food just yet. I'll have to return to try it out!
