Excellent service from the very beginning! I called in looking for a last minute appointment (next morning) and Lindsay was able to get me in. She happily answered all my questions, even the ones I wasn't sure she could answer over the phone. When I arrived the next morning for my appointment I was greeted with smiles right away. Katherine (my stylist for the day) was waiting for me at the front desk and, after a brief exchange of information with the front desk, gave me a tour of the salon. I was pleasantly surprised by this, no other salon has done this for me before and it was nice to know where everything (bathrooms included) was before I even sat down. They offer free drinks while you are getting your hair done - beer, wine, coffee, etc. - at the "color bar" which is not only a great perk but it's interesting to watch them mix the colors while you wait for your hair color to process (or for any other reason you may be waiting). All of the stylists are very friendly and willingly help each other out. Even the owner lends a helping hand when he's not working on his own clients! I also got to meet the owners father who hangs around. I really love the family vibe I get from this place! As for my own hair, I am absolutely IN LOVE with my results!! Katherine was extremely patient with me as far as figuring out exactly what I wanted (I'm a bit indecisive). She took her time getting everything just right for me, offering suggestions and asking me how everything was looking periodically throughout the whole process. This was especially important for me because I was making a very dramatic change - going from hair down to my lower back to shorter than my chin and from brown to purple. She happily discussed different styling techniques for my new hair and how to protect the color in the coming months. We even talked a little about future color changes. Another thing I love about her is that she didn't force small talk. While we did chat throughout the process we also had several very long, comfortable silences while she worked and I just relaxed. It was like hanging out with an old friend. Did I mention I love my new hair? I couldn't have imagined it any better! Time spent at the David Salon is time well spent..always! My hair has always been an issue for me and I have spent many years and lots of dollars trying to get it like I wanted. I'm totally gray and almost 60-- everyone kept coloring me darker and darker and didn't know what to do with my natural curls. David suggested we go lighter as the darker color against aging skin is not so flattering ( he was kind enough not to put it that way).. after months of painstaking work, he totally changed the color to a warm blond. Mark (love this guy) gave me a Brazilian Blowout that gave me the straight, shiny look I had wanted my whole life and now I love my hair! I Love this Salon, I travel from NY for work & it's hard to find good Salons in new areas. My stylist is Jenny she put Hair extensions in my hair, I've had this done once before in NY & it was a nightmare! Jenny did an amazing job in a short time period and colored my hair to the perfect color!! I went through beauty school in New York so you can only imagine hpw picky I am with who touches my hair. All the employees here are so nice and great personalities. Unfortunately I wouldn't get a wax done here again, the lady(not Jen) who did mine burnt my lip right before i went to Miami & i had a burn scab my entire trip... Although my eyebrows looked very nice!!! One last thing, I booked my apt. Online and thats very convenient for me they emailed me back as well as confirmed that day. I was referred to Sophia by a friend who swears by her. I was a little hesitant at first just because I was so scared that someone would mess up my hair, I've had bad experiences before. I booked my appointment same day when I arrived I was given worm welcome and a tour of the place. I loved the set up. The salon really cute and feels personal, it has a style bar that you can sit and have a drink which I was offered countless times. When it was finally my turn Sophia took her time to explain everything. The style that I was going for wasn't possible because of the length that I wanted to keep so she told me to wait to see if I liked the cut she wanted to give me, and if I decided to go shorter then I could get my initial cut. So a agreed. She gave me a thorough wash and was super friendly, I felt like she genuinely wanted to know about me. She asked everything about how I care for my hair and even gave me some advice. Her cut was wonderful, I really loved it. She spent over 45 minutes with me and even made another client wait. I have been coming to David Salon for a few years now. I would not go anywhere else. It is a pleasant experience from right when you walk thru the door, being offered juice, coffee, beer, wine whatever you want. I see Mark when I go there and he makes me laugh so hard, he does my wife's hair as well. If you happen to go to and Mark is doing your hair and Mark and the girl who is in the station next to him start to banter and joke back and fourth, be prepared to laugh so hard !! ( sorry I forgot her name ) Sometimes I get my hair dyed blue/black and every time he does it it comes out perfect. I told him next time I want to dye it a smoke blue color and he was as excited as I was to do it.
