My daughters and I were seeking an eco-friendly, holistic dentist and found The DC Dentist in the Pathways magazine. Today, was our initial visit to this dental office and we were immediately wowed! We were greeted by a very friendly staff, who had taken no time to get us back for our appointments in a very timely manner. The wait time was ...extremely short as they allowed us to complete and submit our new patient paperwork via email. I deem this process to be super efficient, in addition to being very courteous and considerate of their patient's time. Dr. Victor Terry was very kind, knowledgeable and provided a very comprehensive report on his findings upon completion of my daughters' exams and x-ray interpretations. While there, I received a cosmetic/orthodontic consultation, which Dr. Terry took the extra care and time to determine what my needs and desires were. I enjoy his partnership approach, whereas other practices I had consulted with in the path, seemed more aggressive in terms of providing an analysis and determination of orthodontic care. Overall, my girls and I were extremely happy with our visit and even raved to our family members and friends about our experience. Finally, there are so many other factors that immediately attracted us to this place. I admire The DC Dentist's mission to provide a bio/eco-friendly and natural approach to dentistry and orthodontic care. The second was, the convenient locations in Capitol, which is close proximity to our favorite grocers, restaurants, home and a plethora of transportation hubs. I had my dentist office tell me that I needed a root canal on one tooth that had decay. I had concerns so, I looked online to do more research about the procedure. In looking at other stories online of some people that had problems years down the road with the root canal, or others mentioning possible leakage of toxins in the bloodstream, I decided to get a second opinion. I ended up getting information from Green Smoothie Girl- , she had a directory of a Green/Biological/Holistic Dental Providers List, and The DC Dentist was on that list. I was told that I could come in and get a Free Consultation and just have my original dentist office send over a digital copy of my x-rays. During my consultation Dr. Jackson met with me and she was very nice and knowledgeable. She told me that I would need a Pulpotomy and not a Root Canal. They could still save my tooth this way. I did not have to get a crown, tooth implant, and there was not any removal of my nerves, etc. I had that Pulpotomy procedure done and was able to save more money and dentist trips than if I had gotten that root canal at the other dentist. By the way my other dentist was in network and the DC Dentist was not in network. Thank You Dr. Jackson for your knowledge, and patience. I met Dr. Victor at the Pathways Expo last fall and I won a free cleaning. In addition, I am having major work done including two crowns and a night guard. I explained that since I have to make presentations, and I am constantly in front of people, that it was important that my crown look authentic (number 8 , front and center). Dr. Victor listened and reassured me that I had nothing to worry about and that even the temporary crown would be fine. He referred me to the lab to ensure that the shade would be an exact match. He has gone the extra mile to ensure that the outcome is positive. I have been extremely pleased with the care and attention to detail that Dr. Victor has demonstrated. I now have a temporary crown , which actually looks exactly like my natural tooth, including the shade, structure, etc. Dr. Victor and his staff have assured me that the permanent crown will be even better, and it should arrive within the next two weeks. I can hardly wait to see it! I should note also that Dr. Victor has a gentle touch, making the experience virtually pain free! The office is very comfortable and conducive to the comfort of the patient--the massaging dental chair is also a great touch! I absolutely love The D.C. Dentist! Here I experience a warm, friendly, and professional environment from the time I enter the front door until the moment I leave. They have mastered the recipe for excellent service. And I feel deep down in my spirit that this is who they are deep down in their spirit. Simply put, they talk the talk AND walk the walk! For example, Cynthia, the dental hygienist at my most recent visit, did a super thorough job cleaning my teeth while also managing to be efficient. But her genuine care and concern for me went far beyond that. She asked me to signal her if I experienced discomfort or needed to take a break and she periodically took the time to gently wipe my mouth. Dr. Daniel performed my dental exam after the cleaning. Her demeanor was down to earth from the moment of our encounter. And hurray for me! Another negative exam plus encouragement from both ladies to keep up the good work with my regime at home. No berating or condescension. Dr. Daniel gave me the impression that she cared about me keeping my teeth for life rather than working the life out of my teeth for all of the profit to be gained. If you are looking for a dental practice where the staff always demonstrates through their actions that they care about you - the whole person and not just your teeth - then The D.C. Dentist is it. I was fortunate enough to meet Dr. Victor at the Pathways health expo. I recently moved the area and experience tremendous anxiety when visiting the dentist. I had not found an area dentist and decided to give Dr. Victor's practice a try. I cannot praise Dr. Victor or his associates enough! Everyone at the Washington DC Dentist is extremely knowledgable, professional, and accommodating for anyone with dental anxieties. Furthermore, if you appreciate the value of holistic treatments and environmental sustainability, you will not find a better practice in the district. The DC Dentist is amazing. Fantastic care and first rate service. The whole staff is super friendly staff and Dr. Victor is a real gem. The receptionist was wonderful about setting up coordinated appointments for my girlfriend and I. The facilities are really nice and the environment is extremely comfortable. The staff and community here makes it feel more like I am hanging out in my living room with family and friends than at the dentist. The staff is not only genuinely friendly and professional, the warm community feel of the office makes each visit a truly fantastic experience. Second to none. The staff was literally a breath of fresh air...no pun intended!!! After seeing a dentist that was unprofessional, self serving, and a no-show; I needed a huge change so I came in to see Dr. Jackson. She was amazing!!! Not just on time, but saw me a few minutes early and I was able to get a return appt I needed for the very next day. The culture of this office is that of high standards and it shows in everything they do, including the feeling of comfort and relaxation they deliver like no other. I no longer go to this office due to a change in insurance but I had a wonderful experience when I was a patient here. The staff was always courteous, professional and knowledgeable at what they do. I came in for fillings after being told I would need a root canal for a tooth that was giving me a lot of pain. Dr. Victor put in a temporary medicated filling which settled the nerve and totally remedied the problem. I haven't had any pain whatsoever and the filling has since been replaced with a permanent filling. What really won me over was the care they showed my son who was only 4 at the time. He was nervous about the dentist but after his appointment, he couldn't stop talking about how much "fun" he had and still asks to come to this dentist. read more

This was a truly exceptional experience -- I was drawn to the practice initially but their location, and their holistic approach to medicine. Their staff was considerate, friendly and very knowledgeable. The facility was very clean, and was designed well to accommodate patients in an inviting and opening way. I have rather extensive chronic health issues, and Dr. Victor was exceptionally kind, welcoming and attentive to helping treat these issues with a continued and holistic approach. I was recently scheduled for cleaning and was dreading the pain that I have experienced with previous procedures. Once I arrived for my appointment Cheryl the Hygienist assured me that I would not experience any pain and I would be able to go back to work. Cheryl was amazing! The equipment used was something I had never had the opportunity to experience and there was no pain. It took less than 1 hour and I was able to return work! I had an excellent experience with The DC Dentist. I went in to get a cleaning and a filling. I felt like I was very well cared for and that the whole office wanted to make sure I was comfortable. Before they did any work they sat down with me to discuss the cost and my payment options. Dr. Victor is very knowledgeable and kind. My family and I are new to the area have been having a hard time finding a trustworthy dentist. Fortunately, Dr. Victor and his staff have been a great relief. The DC dentist has helped both me and my wife when our dental problems... I am NOT fond of any dentist but Dr. Victor and the staff at The DC Dentist may make me change my mind. I will be completely honest in saying that this is not an inexpensive practice. They are holistic and offer alternative methods/treatments (like lavender oil on the wrists to calm anxiety) that many insurances won't cover at the average rate. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dentist but also advise to save your money or look into FSA benefits to ease the burden when it comes to payment. read more

The most painless and professional dental service I've had the pleasure of receiving. Even before you get into "the chair" you're put at complete ease by the staff and environment. Dr. Victor himself is highly skilled and knowledgeable and your time in the chair will be nothing like the nerve-wracking experiences a lot of us are used to from other dental offices. Dr Victor was very gracious and helpful with an emergency fallen bridge issue for my mom who was visiting from India. He put in a temporary solution to reset her bridge and allowed my mom to travel back with great peace of mind. Dr. Victor provided a solution in one setting and did a great quality job.
