5-9-26. 1230pm lunch. Salmon with capers, delicious

Fun stop for early mother's day treat. Busy spot, loads of parking, some near, some far (a block or two away.) Reserve a time online, makes the visit quick and easy. Lots of windows with views of the Carquinez Strait and the bridge. We sat indoors and enjoyed a great view. Noticed hummingbirds flitting above the plants and vines on the balcony . Large, varied menu. Ordered bowl of clam chowder to start. Warm, creamy, chock full of onions, clam bits. Got more tasty the more I ate it; flavors build up. I ordered the Salmon plate with capers and vegetables. My #1 daughter ordered the big wedge salad with blue cheese and smoked salmon. Great taste, very filling. Lovely wait staff were attentive, pleasant and professional. We had a great visit.

My husband and I had a nice dinner last weekend. We actually made a reservation online as we were driving over. Since we were early, we had a drink at the bar, and they sat us at our table when it was ready. We had a crab crostini (like a loaded--if small--avocado toast), really good. Then I had lasagna as my entree, also can't go wrong, and my husband had cioppino, which he always goes for. Paired with the fresh bread, everything was great. We didn't have a window seat, but we still looked out a little toward the bridge, and it was such a pretty view as the sun was setting.

It's been a while since we've visited so I was lil excited. Let's jump right in. BlackBerry Lemon drop 4/5 Nice flavor but the blueberry garnish was incongruous, it played heavily on my brain... Calamari 3.8/5 Nice cook, crisp but they needed a touch more s&p. Crab cakes 4/5 Cooked to perfection with a nice crunchy exterior and moist, meaty interior. Spicy chowder 3/5 There wasn't any spice and the petite potato & clam bits left me in want... Garlic noodles w/shrimp 3/5 There was no garlic, huge let down. Crab & shrimp skillet 3.7/5 For $70 I expected much larger shrimp & crab. The flavor was good and I guess the portion of shrimp makes up for the lack in size but far from a hit. Outside seating was nice w/good views & service was great; attentive staff, working to please & satisfy. #GoTaste&See.....w/optimism

Been in the Bay for so long and I've never heard of The Dead Fish! It has one of the most beautiful views in the Bay for sure. We celebrated a birthday here and with the part of 10, we were seated in a private room overlooking the water. It was truly breathtaking. Our waitress was really attentive and sweet in taking care of us and helping with the cakes we brought in as well. Everyone in the party ordered their separate entrees and honestly seemed very pleased with everything. I loved the table side bread. They reminded of little French baguettes. They are a bit in the denser side but put any bread and butter in front of me and I am ecstatic. For my meal, I had the sea bass with couscous and crab cakes. I loved how fresh the sea bass tasted and it wasn't too fishy at all. The marinade was beyond and I can't remember the last time I had such divine couscous. It does get a little heavy since it is a little oily with all that good ol butter but nothing a mini baguette can't soak up! The crab cakes were creamy and filled with a generous portion of crab. We enjoyed our time here as we enjoyed the food and the views of the water definitely made it all the better. It seems like the place to go if you're celebrating something!

I really thought after the rodent incident things may have gotten better here. The hostess left us sitting at the table 25-30 mins we were ready to go after this. The food felt cheapened the shrimps and crab size was very small. It took a lot or time and effort to enjoy the food. I love mussels served any style these were dry and the shells were broken if not careful you could cut your fingers. The ceasar salad and clamchowder was very good. I love bread and butter anywhere. It was very good bread the butter was a bit cold and difficult to spread. I probably would not return. Years ago it use to be a hot spot for seafood especially the crab. PRICE: crab and shrimp not worth it PARKING: limited QUALIFY: seafood needs to represent cost AMBIANCE: nice views STAFF: could be improved

Love stopping here for lunch in the scenic bar when traveling. So far, favorites include the Crab Enchilada & the Fishwich. Fries are separate but very tasty. Portions are medium in proportion, so suggest going with others to get more for your money. Parking can be a challenge, so be patient. Staff are ample and super friendly. Fun ambiance with lots to look at, beautiful views, and lovely outdoor seating on good weather days with a view of the bay, bridge, and sometimes water craft. LOVE the bread and butter starter. Definitely worth visiting at least once, if you've never been!

Food was great for everyone! Sea bass and crab Benedict, and a Deadwich which was a burger! (Sandwich) They have interesting titles and names of dishes. We had a cabana and it was perfect for 6 of us, private although the restaurant was full.. brunch is served 12-3 on weekends. Parking can be challenging, but there is additional space across the street I'd say the inside could use a little light and maybe a fresh decor, but also I think it's a legendary spot, so maybe not changing it for history sake? The food was excellent and the service was on point.

Wonderful water views. Menu has something for everyone. I started with some bread which was good. It would have been better if it was warm and the butter was so cold it was almost frozen. Second course was a cup of the clam chowder and it was spot on. For my main course I ordered the crab lasagna. It isn't the "traditional" lasagna style it was more of a baked angel hair pasta with crab on top. Extremely rich! The biggest miss is they served it with roasted vegetables which was mostly potatoes . Too much starch on one plate. I'll definitely go back and try other menu items.

The dead fish is my family's go to spot for Christmas dinner which has been a very nostalgic tradition of ours for many years. First I'd like to thank you for being open on Christmas for those families like mine who rely on the space to gather during the holidays. You are appreciated greatly. This Christmas I decided to order the salmon which was cooked absolutely perfectly. The side dishes it comes with include Acini, mixed veggies and potato's that are all the perfect amount of crispy. I really like that you have a few options for your preparation flavors. I went with the garlic, parsley, paprika, and butter sauce. For the tables we ordered calamari, mussels and enjoyed the complimentary bread before our mains came out. For dessert I ordered the crème brûlée cheesecake which was good but did not taste like crème brûlée. Overall, It was very mild in flavor. On Christmas there is a timeframe for each table which is I believe is 90 mins. All staff were friendly and service was quick. There was one mix up with one dish that accidentally got missed and did not come out at the same time as the rest of the groups. Overall, I enjoy my time here annually and I'll be back.

I've been coming here since I was a teenager and have been here more times than I can count. And every time I leave completely stuffed and happy. First, the view - I am all about it. Gorgeous views of the Carquinez Strait both from inside the dining room and on the heated patio. Try to go at sunset and you won't be disappointed. Second, the food. I usually get the crab or the fettuccine with crab, and you can't go wrong with either. The bibs add a touch of whimsy, and everyone can use more whimsy in their lives. The ice cream sundae for dessert is just happiness in a bowl. It is huge though, so you may want to share, unless you're like Joey. Third, service. We've never had a bad experience. Sure on particularly busy days it can take awhile, but that's every place. But in my experience, service has always been great, with friendly staff who seem to go out of their way to make sure we're enjoying. 10/10 would eat here again - probably this month.

Our family has a tradition of coming here for Thanksgiving almost every year. Last time we visited, there was all sorts of trouble with their ordering system, but all of that has been sorted out, thank goodness! They were so full when we arrived, that we actually got bumped up to the Captain's room. It's in the back of the restaurant and as we were ushered in, we thought they were sending us to the exit door, but it turned out to be a beautiful small banquet room perfect for eight or 10 people. It was designed and decorated as if you were on a ship, with round portal windows and a beautiful underwater scene tastefully painted across one long wall. We enjoyed sautéed calamari, crab legs, fresh salmon, fresh halibut, and one of us got a Surf n' turf with an enormous lobster tail! The food and service was excellent--an overall positive experience. prices are definitely Bay Area plus 20%. Parking in front of the building offers perhaps 20 to 25 spots, while spillover parking across the street is ample.

First time here. Supposed to have a nice view of the bay but it was dark so could t see anything. But you can see the bridge that was lit up. Their menu is pretty funny and catchy. Our server was really nice and friendly. We ordered the garlic bread, black linguine, branzino, Cesar salad, clam Chowder and fries. We all agreed everything was really good. The bread was really yummy. Had the sea salt caramel crunch cake(?) which was really good. Not too sweet.

What a disaster of a place from start to finish. Came here on a Saturday with a reservation but I guess so did everyone else. We had to wait quite a while in the over crowded entrance. The parking is super funky and a hot mess. Be prepared to circle around 4 different lots. None of it makes sense. When we got to our table it was SO narrow and tiny, I was wondering how we would be able to even eat. All our plates and cups already took up the space. It was stressful moving things as food came. The ambiance is horrible. Yellow lighting, EXTREMELY loud chatter. Everyone is screaming and you can't hear what anyone is saying. The poor server has to cover 3 rooms so it was impossible to get any service. Not his fault. He was actually very friendly and helpful. But the restaurant can do a better job at staffing. Well, let's get to the food. AWFUL!!! We got the crab lasagna only to be SO confused. It's not a lasagna. It's baked angel hair pasta in a lot of cheese and no crab taste. What the hell? The waiter told us that the menu was deceptive and doesn't describe it properly. The potatoes were SOOOOOO greasy and gross. I couldn't even eat the dish. It looked and tasted bad. The Cioppino tastes like tomato bisque and the seafood in there was over cooked with an extremely strong fishy taste. You can tell it was frozen and not fresh. The cream of spinach looked like boiled kale and had no cream. The only thing that was decent was the mussels but how can you go wrong with just mussels with butter...even though a lot of the mussels were partially closed. I don't think I'd ever come back to be stressed out before I even walk in from the parking, to the waiting in lobby with 20 other parties, extremely loud ambiance, horrible tasting food, and understaffed service. Why is this place so overhyped?

Epi Bread = known for its crispy crust and soft inside, often served with anchovy butter and made by ACME Bread Company.

Upon entry and seeing people dressed very relaxed, my assumption was curved. The inside was relatively small, we sat at small table in the back near the "kitchen" food pick-up area is the best way to describe it. Our waiter was okay, provided us the nightly specials and acknowledged our Anniversary. Nothing beyond the standard greeting. Drinks: very basic in my opinion; subjective I get it. Me and my guests were not wow'd. We had to ask for additional supplements for the Lavender Lemon Drop and Georgia Peach or something Peach with bourbon, peach puree, etc. Appetizers: PrimeRib Sliders, Fried Coconut Prawns and Lobster Bisque. Again taste is subjective, being from the south, flavors and richness is a MUST. I can't say we got that. Our guest throughly enjoyed the prawns and said the sauce was GREAT. I'm use to a VERY rich, cozy Lobster bisque and this missed the mark, and there was barely any lobster. Entrees: 8 oz Filet Mignon, Prime Rib, Crab enchiladas and Scallops. Filet was requested as medium, came out almost done, no pink in sight. While my guest was disappointed, they didn't feel like the battle of waiting for it to be corrected, disappointing. Prime Rib, was okay. The guest barely finished it. Pan Roasted Maine Scallops, were okay, cooked fine. Meal ended once a gnat landed on the crisp crackers. Crab Enchiladas: A very unique dish. Plentiful for sure; taste basic. Essentially a taco with all the fixings with crab sprinkled in minus a shell. No dessert for us; however, we were offered a cupcake with a candle for our anniversary. While this review is my/our experience, the restaurant missed the mark with this basic, dry store bought cupcake. I refuse to believe this was made in house. Perhaps one of the menu dessert options would have been better. We'll never know. My expectations were not met. Hope yours is.

The beers and cider are nice to have while you wait for your food. This is amazing place to socialize and just take in the fresh air. There was a baby shower celebration happening next to the eating area so looks like that can be also be reserved for parties or celebrations which is nice. We'd definitely love to come back one day!

I also had their chowder of the day, which was really good! It was made with rockfish. My daughter had the bouillabaisse and that was really good. I wish I had ordered that! The only complaint was it's a long way to get there from the exit! This of course is beyond their control! I would go while the light is still out. Do not go after dark because the roads to the restaurant are not lighted! Would definitely go again, but while there's still sunlight out, lol!

It takes awhile for the server to come assist you, especially ordering drinks. Half our table got drinks and finished before the other got to order. The drinks took awhile to come out and came at different times and were inconsistent with taste and garnish. They never collected any empty glasses when they came with new drinks. So our table was cluttered. This is not good when your table is already cramped. When we were ordering the food the server kept trying to pressure us to order more (either two of the same dish or more food). Unfortunately we listened and got two of the mussel with fries. The assembly of this dish was not great. They put a glob of mayo on top of the mussels...then fries under with a TON of not so great broth. The fries get sooooo soggy and dipping it becomes a nightmare when you start eating the mussels. The mussels also weren't that great. It wasn't necessarily fishy but almost tasted old or left out. I would not recommend this dish. The Brussels sprouts were horrendous and EXTREMELY salty. It was drenched in this buffalo tasting vinaigrette. The entire party hated this. As for the chicken, it was alright. The hot sauce wasn't great so I ate it alone. The biscuit was tough and hard to rip apart. It didn't have that flakey texture. The slaw was a miss from just looking at it. My favorite thing out of it all was the Mac and cheese. Not dry, had good amount of salt. Oh, and if you want to order the side of carrots, I'm not sure 2 slices is worth the amount they charge. The menu is also limited compared to what was offered before.

We loved this place!…read more We were in Bodega Bay for a couple of days. Ate at Fisherman's Cove for lunch one day. Then came here for lunch the next day. The two restaurants are nextdoor to each other by the harbor. There's street parking - the parking lots are limited so we just parked in the street instead. Spud Point is casual. You wait in the line and order at the window. Then they bring the food out to you. There are some picnic tables and sunshades out front. Very easy and no pretense here! Here's what we ordered: Italian sourdough French bread $5 Red chowder $10 White chowder $10 2 crab sandwiches $20 each Albacore tuna sandwich $11 When ordering the bread, make sure you get some butter. The bread was absolutely delicious with crusty exterior and chewy inside. Perfect accompaniment with the chowder! We loved though New England white chowder. The Manhattan red chowder was fine, but we barely had half of it and took the rest home. The crab sandwich was great too! Tuna sandwich was good! There are other foods for sale at the order window - bags of chips, Crustable sandwiches. Can't wait to come back here! Wish I had the cooler with me to buy live crabs!!! BTW, I didn't see a bathroom here. But Fisherman's Cove (nextdoor) has one. It's just one unisex bathroom so there's a long line!
