I think this place is more of a bar that serves food. On the other hand it's ocean-front dining which has to be hands down the prettiest on Tybee island. The frito misto I ordered was fine but it promised fried green tomatoes and had none. Slow service on a not busy Monday night. Seems like almost all the food was frozen. My butternut squash risotto tasted like cheap microwaved risotto with chopped up butternut squash thrown in. I didn't notice any chain restaurants on Tybee Island and was a little reluctant to try a place that was attached to a hotel. But the old saying "Don't judge a book by its cover" is right! We tried The Deck and loved it! The Deck has indoor and outdoor seating. Of course we opted for the indoor seating in late July. There is a wall made of glass so you can see outside. It's definitely a beach spot, don't be over dressed. The wait staff is very nice, swift and knowledgeable. The environment is family friendly and suitable for large groups. Everything they recommended we tried. The shrimp and grits, crawfish and shrimp sandwich, chicken tenders and fries, shrimp and fries and virgin daiquiris were amazing. The littles loved the daiquiris! Parking is at the hotel but it's underneath. You'll have to see it to understand. There is one way in and one way out so park in a manner that allows you to drive out easily. You can literally walk to the beach or to the pool from the restaurant. My family enjoyed The Deck! Here to visit Tybee for vacay, stopped by the Deck for our first meal here! Place is on the beach, has both outdoor and indoor seatings, spacious and clean. Service was pretty good - Food order came very fast, waitress patiently took notes and accommodated our orders with allergies. Food had big portions. Shrimp burger was great, a little spicy. Went to the deck on a monday in july around 4pm and were seated immediately. Our server was SOOOO kind, I wish I could remember his name. But the ambience inside was fine, they had indoor and outdoor seating. I got the shrimp platter and she got the chicken quesadilla, both were pretty good! I would definitely go back here! The only "bad" thing I will say about this restaurant is when we were leaving the restaurant we stopped to go to the restroom; and there was a young female sever leaving the bathroom stall when we walked in with her toast tablet (device used to take guests orders) on her person/ in her hand which I found kind of unsanitary. read more

One of the most consistent casual spots in Tybee. The service is always good just like the food. The fish tacos and the coconut rice that comes with them are fire. The shrimp nachos are tasty although the shrimp are slightly heavy for the chips which makes it awkward to scoop up (again, they are very tasty nonetheless). My friends and I came here for our last dinner of the weekend and had a good meal! - They don't take reservations so we decided to sit at the bar while we waited. Definitely try the pineapple wipeout drink! - Thankfully they were able to seat our group of 7 pretty quickly; I don't think we waited more than 20 minutes. - For appetizers, we tried the coconut shrimp. Our server suggested this, it actually isn't on their main menu. The shrimp were crispy and flavorful! We also tried the calamari, which was your standard calamari appetizer, nothing special but overall it tasted good. - I ordered the poke bowl as my entree, which was packed with tuna, onions, pineapple, avocado, coconut rice, and seaweed salad. The only downside is that the sauce it came with was SO salty. A few of us ordered this dish and all agreed less was definitely more, and wish we hadn't used the entire container. read more

We had no wait to be seated when we arrived around 5:30. It did seem we beat the rush as many people came in after us. The restaurant is spacious with lots of large tables suitable for bigger parties. We would have loved to sit outside but it was very windy. I love this place! It is a beautiful restaurant right on the beach on Tybee Island and the views are just wonderful. I have tried a couple of their drinks, but our lovely server Jaqui recommended the key lime martini and it was out of this world delicious. He was very pleased with it and he loved the sauce that came with it. I had the Carne Asada because they were out of lobster. It was very tasty but both tortillas I was given broke. I'd have served it with flour not corn. B-day kid had the BLTA without the A (avocado) and he thought it was amazing. 3 meals, 2 drinks and a beer came to $90 wasn't expecting to pay that for brunch/ lunch. We came here late in the evening and got seated right away. Our food arrived quickly and then it was last call. I appreciated being able to order and didn't mind leaving as soon as we paid. We had a very nice lunch at the Deck the other day. It was a rainy beach day, so my friends and I decided to find a place to sit and eat. When we arrived, there was a bit of a wait for our group, but the wait was not too long. We were able to get 2 tables side by side so that we could still all eat together! The menu had some very tasty items to choose from, but the one item that caught my eye was the lobster summer wrap (North Atlantic cooked lobster, basil, cilantro, red cabbage slaw, bibb lettuce, wrapped in rice paper. Served with mojo sauce and fresh melon). I also wanted a side of fries. When we ordered, our server told us that they only had a few wraps left in the Kitchen for the day, so we needed to make sure to get our orders in before others did. I was so glad she told us about that! The food was all delivered quickly and the summer wraps were the hit of the table! Such a unique flavor profile with the lobster and the sauces/toppings, I really enjoyed it and would totally order it again. The rice paper wrap was a nice touch and the dipping sauce was great! Our server was super friendly and made sure we had water and napkins while we ate. She also offered dessert and she told us about an off the menu item (coconut shrimp) which we ordered! We were once again happy to be able to pay separately which was another nice touch. The atmosphere is so peachy and on a nicer day, it would have been great to sit outside. This place was so prefect for me and my friends, we found this place after we got all the way to the beach and realized we hadn't ate yet! We sat and had food I had a BLTA (Bacon, lettuce, tomato, and AVOCADO) it was served on an amazing multigrain toast. I loveddddd it, it was served with kettle chips but I subbed for fries. My friends had a smoked shrimp Chipotle quesadilla and chicken tacos. I had a rum punch that was super good and so flavorful. I tasted the quesadilla and you can definitely taste the Smokey flavor and it was so good definitely something I'd never had before! Went there for the first time 4/2 and sat on the deck. Our server Sam was just a delight. She was so kind and friendly and made sure we were happy. They had a little short staff issue butt she kept us updated and I appreciate that kind of communication. She knows the menu very well and helped us choose our entrees. But once you're there the atmosphere is great and the staff friendly. We were able to sit on the deck outside with an unobstructed view of the beach and ocean.
