I prefer sweeter drinks so having this made my morning. And I ordered the hamburger with fries. The hamburger was quite delicious with an herby aioli. The fries were seasoned to perfection and not quite salty!! Lastly, I wanted to try to peach cobbler which was AMAZING!! I recommend carefully eating as the bottom is cool and thus causing the ice cream to melt faster than expected (not complaints from me as it reached the bottom of the warm cake eventually). I highly recommend be seated outdoors if you can. The breeze was lovely and there was an ample amount of shade there. We fully enjoyed ourselves here. Great waitstaff and the location on the ocean was perfect. The food was excellent and they aren't stingy with the portions. We were there at night so the beach wasn't really possible but we'll travel back for lunch and sit on the outdoor deck. Beautiful location. Just had lunch here for the first time - arrived at 1215ish and it wasn't too crowded, but by 1245 it was packed. Sat with our pup on the outside deck and all the servers were very friendly towards him. Our food came out very quick, within 10 minutes of ordering, which was great. I got the shrimp burger which has a unique consistency that I wasn't expecting - it was thick, and the pineapple on top was a good feature. My wife got the Fried Green Tomato sandwich - she didn't care for it as they have a seasoning on the breading that is different from other FGTs we have had around Savannah, but I thought it was plenty good, and it comes with a tasty bacon jam. After devastatingly missing our reservation at The Grey because of traffic on the bridge, I remember my Uber driver recommended The Deck so our group turned around and headed their for dinner. We opted to sit on the deck and first grabbed drinks at the bar before getting seated. They were able to easily accommodate our group of 9 which was nice and our server was great. I enjoyed my piña colada but the tap water left a lot to be desired. I shared an order of oysters with a friend that were much bigger than what I'm used to on the west coast and really delicious. After hearing the specials for the night, I opted for the blackened chicken burger and fries. All of our food came out rather quickly and while I enjoyed the burger, the bacon jam overwhelmed the blackened chicken flavor. Don't get me wrong, I love bacon jam, but I was hoping for a little more spice and the flavors weren't balanced enough for me. The fries were 5/5. I'd come back if I were on the island again. This is an amazing restaurant! The restaurant is right on the beach which was just lovely. You can just walk right off the patio and be on the beach (has its own beach access)! We sat outside around sunset and it was so pretty. Our server was extremely kind and friendly, and made for a great experience. I ordered the grilled salmon and it was amazing. It was a very generous size of salmon and cooked to perfection. The sauce it came with was alright. My husband ordered the low country boil and really liked it--he said it was a little spicy. The only downside was there were a ton of mosquitos around at sunset which was pretty annoying, but that wasn't the restaurant's fault at all! I went to The Deck after a beautiful night on the beach. My experience is going to be unique to a solo diner. When I got there, a party of 5 was just checking in, and they had a 25-30 minute wait. Flying solo, I got to go to the outside bar and seat myself. The bar was pretty empty, so I was served quickly and got to sit wherever I wanted. I loved the bar facing the ocean. It was picturesque! I've been here a few times for brunch, dinner, and drinks. With indoor, outdoor and bar seating, the Deck always has what I'm looking for. Even if the weather is not nice, I love that I can still come and enjoy the beach view from indoors. The service has always been great and cocktails are poured perfectly. I didn't notice any chain restaurants on Tybee Island and was a little reluctant to try a place that was attached to a hotel. But the old saying "Don't judge a book by its cover" is right! We tried The Deck and loved it! The Deck has indoor and outdoor seating. Of course we opted for the indoor seating in late July. There is a wall made of glass so you can see outside. It's definitely a beach spot, don't be over dressed. The wait staff is very nice, swift and knowledgeable. The environment is family friendly and suitable for large groups. Everything they recommended we tried. The shrimp and grits, crawfish and shrimp sandwich, chicken tenders and fries, shrimp and fries and virgin daiquiris were amazing. The littles loved the daiquiris! Parking is at the hotel but it's underneath. You'll have to see it to understand. There is one way in and one way out so park in a manner that allows you to drive out easily. You can literally walk to the beach or to the pool from the restaurant. My family enjoyed The Deck! THE WAIT About 10-15 minutes for outdoor seating for three on a Saturday around 7pm in mid-April. We used this time to get drinks at the bar and it passed quickly! THE COST About $170 total (including tips) for 4 cocktails, 4 plates, and 2 desserts (plenty of food for three). I just noticed that the menu states the clams are $15/dozen, but on my receipt, we were charged $18/doze. THE DRINKS * Spicy mango margarita $12 - 4.5 stars Delicious, not too sweet, refreshing, and the kick of spice was great. * Peach daiquiri - 3.5 stars Nice, simple and sweet. * Grapefruit mule - 3 stars A bit too strong for me; the flavors were not too interesting. THE FOOD * Poke bowl $18 - 3 stars Not very fresh, and not enough fish - this was mostly rice. * Oysters $27 dozen - 3 stars These were large oysters, but had a somewhat flat texture.
