O for 2. First trip got the Fajitas and they were very boring for the cost. Second trip today I got the fettuccini Alfredo with a $6.00 shrimp add on. Noodles and pasta were OK but the shrimp tasted like eggs. Not one to return food but the shrimp was BAD. It's evening and it's hitting me pretty hard. 2 stars was because the staff is friendly and it's nice inside. Good place for drinks but not for food. We loved it so much we went twice this week. We have been coming here a little after Covid. We never had a bad meal. Our favorite are the ahi crisp, the huge pretzel to start. We had our waitress twice also and we love her. The second time we went in we had our grandkids. She was so good to them. Made sure are meals were sent accordingly. Appetizers first, starter (soup) second then our main meal. She remembered what we like when we went in a few days ago. I was impressed. My husband wanted a Derby burger and she made it happen. Since we did have our grandkids, 8 and 4 they were a little restless. Our 8 year old asked for coloring books or something but they did not have any (it's not their job-grandma should have had something to keep them entertained) but our waitress brought them two huge suckers. They were so happy. I think shocked at first because they had their own and did not have to share. I just had to mention that service is so important and she was excellent. When I asked the lady bartender if a could speak to the manager, she stated that there isn't a manager present and/or available. ONLY a "waitress who has been here for a while." This spot is a great place to watch sports and grab a beer. The servers are pleasant and the food is surprisingly good for bar food. The main attraction is the horse race betting. This is an official OTB (off track betting) location. They have automated machines to bet and pari-mutuel clerks to take your bets. Tons of tap beer and a great vibe here. They also have live music in the summer midweek nights. The 4 of us had various meals from the breakfast and lunch menu and all tasted nice and good portions. The food also came to the table quickly. Went for lunch and had a horrible experience. Our waitress, Sarah, took our drink and food order and never came back to our table. We sat there the whole time waiting for a refill and she never came. I had to wait by the entrance to the kitchen to ask for boxes and my bill. It was not worth what we paid. If I could give zero stars I would. It was not very busy so there was no excuse. Found this place right across Goodwill after we dropped off some donations. We had no idea what derby was LOL but went there anyway. The place has lots of TV and later on we learned that this is a restaurant and offsite betting place. The service was really fast and the servers were very helpful and constantly checking on us. My order came with soup and he gave me albondigas which was really good I shared it with my husband. Our seared ahi tuna were both cooked and seasoned very well. We were so full we didn't need dessert. We enjoyed this experience, something different but we enjoyed the food and the service!! read more

Went here for the first time with some friends and wow was this place really good! We went for breakfast and I had the Norco omelet which had gravy on the top, so delicious! The waitress was attentive to us as we were a larger party, and everything was tasty! It's a bar atmosphere, but there is plenty of seating for families away from the bar area. Tonight I treated my mom to dinner we both had prime rib. Au jus no flavor very greasy, prime rib I won't order twice it wasn't all bad just needed seasoning veggies were raw. amazing place! the servers are so nice and warm. even in the bussiest of times the servers succeed at getting me and my family everything we need. they even give out free ring pops to the kids! a group of very hard working people work together seamlessly. the food is very well portioned and they have a very extensive menu. anyone can eat and find something they like. they also have a ton of tvs for any game night and a range of seating from high tables, booths, round tables, and big bar, and half table half booths to accommodate anyone. highly recommend! read more

1 star is generous! Take out order tonight included some significant errors. On one order, we were missing soup and the steak was grossly overcooked. On another order, we were missing side salad, the salmon was grossly overcooked as well. It was oily, lacked any seasoning and was like a brick. Chose rice pilaf but received white rice, and veggies were watery and a throw away. No care was given to packing up any of the food. They threw close to 20 plastic packs of utensils in one of our bags. Just careless. I called to request a refund on minimally the salmon dish. I was passed around to different managers on duty having to retell the problem. One of the managers was a kitchen manager who claimed to have cooked the salmon and steak. He wanted to begin to argue with me. They could only offer me a gift card. I refused gift card and told them we would never be coming back to use the gift card. The general manager calls me and was rude and had already decided to be aggressive to me because the other managers had told her I was swearing at them and being rude. I told her I not once swore at them. I did call the food shitty at one point because I was so irritated that this was such a big deal over our $120 takeout tab! Apparently, they have not had rice pilaf for 4 years but cannot make the change on their take out menu. Strange? How is this my problem? Could you call the customer back and tell them? Apparently, they cannot refund customers for bad food product and service. The general manager supposedly spoke with the owner and this was the decision they made. Strange? That's how to rectify bad experiences from customers. I told the general manager, Leslie, that I would be taking this experience to social media because you don't value your customers. Turns my small complaint into a huge ordeal. She then threatened me that if I chose to deface this restaurant then I won't get any resolution. I left her with a chance to contact the owner again and call me back. Just very bad customer service. No resolution at all! Wow! I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. However, the food that I ordered was not good and not worth $20. I ordered the steak fajita entree and it came with clam chowder. The clam chowder was the best part. The steak was dry and tasted off. The side dishes for the steak fajita also tasted off. The guacamole was not fresh and the color was dark. The rice and beans were extremely bland. Half of the restaurant is setup for wagering on horse racing and the other half is for those that would rather just come and eat and maybe watch some different sports on TV. Basic and bland. I should've known better when people raved about their "Chinese food". The egg drop soup is straight gelatin, about as thick as pudding and lacking key flavors. I didn't expect quality and authentic Chinese food obviously, but this was worse than Panda Express. Their omelet was decent, about the same quality as any other breakfast place around. The club sandwich was BLAND! Weird textures, soggy yet stale bread. Almost inedible. How on earth do you mess up sandwich? Service is good, the place looks clean, their food is just not worth it. I think the only reason people come here is for the environment, and so if you're like me and don't care about horse races and the occasional baseball game, don't bother coming here. There are so many better places in the Corona/Norco/Eastvale area. read more

If you like that local bar/eatery feel this is the place. The Derby Room is located behind the Goodwill retail store and if you're not looking you'd miss it. We came there for a late lunch/early dinner and the wait was 1 hour! The menu is diverse as it's patrons. From American (read burgers) to Asian fare (they even server pho!!) My daughter got the fettuccine Alfredo, wide got the Italian torpedo and I ordered the 16 oz probe rib. My daughter is a fettuccine already expert and she said it was ok. The sauce was creamy but lacked a bit of seasoning but I suppose you can adjust to your liking. Wife's torpedo was on point serving size I feel was perfect and it was picked full of deli meats. My prime rib was good, I ordered medium rare but due to it's popularity I ended getting it on a bit more of a medium. I did have to add salt to the aus jus. The meat or rather the cut was great. Just had to add a dash of salt. (note: I compare my prime rib to Houston's so if you've had their PR you'll know what I'm talking about). The pricing is perfect IMO my PR was only $16 so you cannot complain. I've had PR at wood ranch and BJ's and this place is a lot better. Next time I'm going to try the 1/2# burgers that they have listed it just looked amazing. Oh did you know you can watch and make bets for the house racing that's on the TV? Well you can and it gets really rowdy when people are rooting for their horse. All in all its a fun place staff is really pleasant and service was prompt. Delicious!!!my friends had the pulled pork and a burger.EVERYTHING was delicious! The ambiance is much like that of an old school vegas style gambling parlor!
