My fiancé bought my ring here specifically because of the great return policy. We had never talked about my ring preferences so he bought me a very simple band and after proposing told me I could change it for something more my style. Even though it had been well over a year since he'd bought the original ring I had no problems swapping the band. I'm pretty indecisive but the sales staff (I worked with Tricia and Sam) were patient and helpful. They let me waver and try on many different styles while guiding me to a choice I'm very happy with. After getting the new ring back I realized the band was a bit too big so they resized it for free. I'm moving soon and they were always willing to put in a rush order for me to get my changes back within a week. Additionally I emailed Tricia a few questions in between visits and she always responded quickly. My fiancé also mentioned that he thought Nate was great although I did not work with him much. I would definitely come back for future diamond needs and recommend to anyone looking for an engagement ring!

Engagement ring without bands. Cushion cut stone with double prong setting.

Picked up my finished ring today from The Diamond Center... SO BEAUTIFUL! About month ago I had went to different jewelry store and had a terrible experience, on my way home with no appointment decided to stop at TDC in Madison. My ten year anniversary was coming up and I was looking to change my band. I walked in and right away the staff was fantastic. Nate was beyond helpful. I had an idea what I wanted but wasn't seeing it, none of the stores had what i was looking for. Really thankful I got to work with Nate on my ring. What stood out for me was how knowledgeable he was and how he counted on his staff as well to help with questions and finding answers. With picking out wedding bands we didn't just sit at one display but looked into each case seeing if something stood out to me and figuring out what I liked. It was really hard for me to commit to a ring that I couldn't actually see on my hand but looking down at this ring right now... I'm in LOVE! With my ring, my stone is a cushion cut, Nate was only person that talked about double prong setting... sounds weird I know : ) I didn't like that look and wasn't sure. I went home and looked into it and well yes you can do a different setting there is more of a chance I could lose my Diamond. TDC was the ONLY store to talk about this! I stopped at least 5 other places. I think even if you've been going somewhere else it's worth stopping.

I couldn't be happier with my custom ring from the Diamond Center

Brett was incredible. I'll start by saying that the Diamond Center is the first place we went (we saw the great Yelp reviews and wanted to check it out), and were blown away by the service. Brett spent over an hour with us to walk us through everything, and was very patient with my indecisiveness. I had wanted to pick out a few styles I liked, and leave the ultimate decision up to my boyfriend. I loved the setting of one of the rings, but they didn't have one for a marquise cut diamond. Brett said they could design one custom, but I wanted to see what else was out there and kept looking. When my boyfriend (now fiance) and I went to another store, the service was completely different and unimpressive. We found another setting I liked just as much if not more than the one at TDC, but my boyfriend and I agreed that if Brett could do something similar, we'd rather buy it from him. He went back to Brett a few more times to work on the design without me, and it turned out absolutely amazing. They were able to incorporate the features I loved from both rings, and I couldn't be happier. All in all, it was the personalized service and Brett's genuine interest in working with my fiancé to create the perfect ring for me rather than just selling what was readily available that led us to pick The Diamond Center. In addition, they have a great warranty program. We will be long-term customers thanks to Brett!

Can not say enough about this place; the staff is great and really takes the time to educate you and work with you to make sure you get exactly what your looking for. Brett and Tricia are the best and most helpful people we worked with during out engagement ring shopping! Looking forward to working with them for many years to come! I've had many friends also have great experiences working with this company, you dont be disappointed!

Custom made wedding band with Hearts on Fire diamonds. Nothing but the best from The Diamond Center!

I absolutely loved this store. I had no idea why everyone was complaining about "rude owners." Now I understand. Let's just put it this way. I've bought three different clocks from this store. Two out of the three broke within four months I'd purchase. The first one that broke, they fixed it no questions asked and did not charge me. This was about seven or eight years ago. That is what prompted me to write such a glowing review. I came back because I wanted a grandfather clock for my new place. Found a nice 6 foot grandfather clock made in 1911 that fit my budget and looked all original. I paid about $1000 for it, which in retrospect was WAY too much. But the gentleman who sold it to me told me he guarantees every one of his clocks for at least one year. I figured it was better buying a clock from a reputable store that I already knew and trusted versus trying to buy another clock on Craigslist or an antique store. Boy what a mistake. One night while I was winding it, the chain completely broke, sending both weights crashing down through the floor of the clock. Now mind you, I'm extremely OCD and very careful with my antiques. I've been collecting antiques since I was 10 years old going to garage sales and I know how to be careful around fragile things. I was winding the clock exactly how the gentleman at the store showed me how to wind it. I took it back to the store and he told me that this happens all of the time. The chains get weak over time and can often break without warning. He assured me that I was doing nothing wrong and stood by his guarantee that he'd warranty the clock for a year. I was ecstatic. Fast forward about two months. I finally get a postcard in the mail saying my clock was ready and that it's cost me $89.68 for the repairs. I was a little confused at first but thought maybe this was an honest mistake. Maybe they forgot it was warranty work - no biggie. After renting another uhaul and driving it to the shop, I saw the clock had been repaired and it was ready to go. He led me to the counter and asked me to pay the $89 for the repair. I reminded him that I bought this clock less than a year ago and was told they would guarantee it. Suddenly his tone changed and I saw his true colors. He told me that "the warranty covers a lot - sometimes $300-400 of work" but that he wasn't going to cover it because the of what I had "done to it" claiming the clock was "abused." He claimed that I had "yanked on the chain too hard" which caused the chain to break. Wow. Wow. Wrong choice of words sir. I had NOT abused the clock. I was very careful when winding it, making sure to follow every single instruction they gave me to ensure the clock would stay in its original condition. I'm very careful with my old things and I spent over a grand on that clock and treasured it. For him to come to me and tell me I abused the clock? But when I assured him I did not abuse the clock, he replied "I've been repairing clocks for 51 years and I know when a clocks been abused. I cautioned him that his store has countless negative reviews online and that he should consider changing his attitude. He simply replied "well I'm already so busy with the business I'm getting so I don't really need any more business." Fine. I came back the next day to talk it over with him once more. Once again, he was rude, patronizing, straight up called me an idiot for not knowing how to wind the clock properly. I asked him why this wasn't explained to me when I bought the clock, he insinuated that I lacked common sense and intelligence. He claimed I "threatened him" and kept talking as if he believed I was going to take him to court. I told him I'd just get my clock repaired over at Brumley's from now on. He bad mouthed that business and seems to think he's a god when it comes to clock repair. He said this is basically a hobby for him and that he doesn't care how he treats customers. I won't be returning ever again. I hope this place rots to the ground. There are FAR better places to get clocks repaired. In terms of purchasing them, buy at your own risk. You may end up with a lemon that has not been cared for while it's been withering away in this dusty old shop. There are other places to get clocks - even if you have to drive to another city. It's worth it to avoid the headache I've been put through.
