    Chilaquiles Rojos
    Elizabeth M.

My friends and I came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and were seated right away. It's a cozy, no frills spot, which is exactly what I look for in a breakfast restaurant. I got the Chilaquiles Rojos with eggs over medium. It was delicious and the portion size was great - on a normal day, I may not have finished it all, but I was super hungry and cleaned my plate! Would definitely recommend checking it out for some delicious diner-esque breakfast and lunch foods with a few non-traditional additions.

    * Biscuits and gravy 4/5 * Omelette 4/5 * Scone 4/5 -Biscuits and gravy was pretty dam good. Tons of gravy and it came out hot. Potion was so-so but potions in general here are a little small for breakfast. -Omelette was cooked perfect and i would say they do eggs very well here in general. -Scone is a must! Order it as a app and push them to bring it out early because they run out. This time i was a little dryer then the last time we were here. Otherwise with the homemade jam its a 5/5

We used to come here at least once a month for breakfast. On the weekends you always had to wait for a table and they had a free coffee station outside while you waited. The food back then was delicious. We moved out of state a few years ago and recently came back for a week. The one place we were looking forward to was The Dish Cafe. To say we were underwhelmed is an understatement. We ordered our go-to's and they were both awful. I ordered the Slacker, which had no flavor at all. Hubs ordered Corned Beef Hash and it was swimming in oil. I know places change recipes, but if you have something so successful, why change? Btw, we went at 9:30am on a Saturday and there was no wait and half the restaurant was empty. I could cry how much it went downhill. Sadly we will never go back.

Decent food near my friends place but defo not anything amazing. I liked the potato's and the hollandaise sauce was not tangy sadly.

I don't like to leave a bad review. First off the service was good & my coffee cup never got empty. Everyone was friendly & cheerful. The biscuits and gravy were so so at best. The gravy appeared to be straight out of a can without hint of spice or sausage. True it is not listed as sausage gravy, at least a hint of spice would be good. The poached eggs were perfect. What they advertise as a scone comes out looking like a slice of corn bread. While tasty it was a far cry from a scone. The food was not good enough for me to want to go back. A nice place that easily could be great.

4.5 but rounding up! This is the few places in Seattle that serve proper breakfast. Nothing fancy, just perfect breakfast food. Prices are very reasonable and the food is so good. Their Blood Marys are also top notch. The staff is quick and so sweet.

    Breakfast !!! Outstanding!

This is a small restaurant that was in walking distance of our Airbnb. This is an excellent restaurant with a great classic menu. I would recommend this is to anyone in the area! Service was outstanding and we are going back again today for breakfast!

    Veggie bene for brunch today!

The menu changes weekly, they try to use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. We started with cocktails. My wife got a perfect Manhattan and I asked for an east side cocktail. That was new to the bartender but she was willing and it turned out to be delicious! Great mix of mint, cucumber and lime. Then we shared 4 dishes: sardine tartine, dal soup, an heirloom tomato and cucumber salad and the halibut entree. Literally everything was delicious. I lived the flavors of the dal soup--cumin, coriander, mustard seed. The tomatoes were super fresh on top of a creamy marscapone. And the halibut was perfectly cooked, with a crispy top and flaky body. I only wish we lived here and could visit more often!

They do take reservations, and there was a small line of people already waiting outside when the restaurant opened at 10 AM. The interior is cozy and warm..,the servers were all friendly and attentive! We ordered a mini baguette with butter and jam, along with a side of sausage and eggs, and their sweet Dutch baby! Everything was delicious! They did let us know in advance that the Dutch babies would take about 30 minutes, but it is worth the wait! It came out piping hot, oozing with blueberries and lemon ricotta! My only regret was not being able to try other things since we were headed to Pike Place right after, but I definitely do want to try their other Dutch babies / dinner items in the future!

We came in around 1:45pmish and it wasn't crowded. They had an amazing selection of pastries, though I didn't try any. I got their Caramelized Banana Latte to satisfy my sweet tooth, and it wasn't too banana-flavored nor too sweet; the black sesame in it balanced it nicely. I also got the Urban Pesto, which was SO yum. I was little skeptical of the focaccia - sometimes I find it to be too puffy, and thus hard to eat the sandwich - but this had a lovely panini press on it that made it easy to eat. The in-house herby cheese in the sandwich made each bite just that much more delicious. The staff was also super nice and accommodating to my parents' requests and questions. Can't wait to come back to try their other food and bev options!

I appreciated that this location has both spacious indoor and outdoor seating. Despite being busy, this was not packed with ample seating still available and not cramped. Tempting pastry case with savory and sweet choices, the usual bevs, as well as, cocktails. Vibrant place to visit solo or meetups with others. The 16oz iced mokka (mocha) I had was well crafted. It's nice to watch the staff cook because it tells you that the food is fresh. I have high expectations for seafood in Seattle. However, I was disappointed with the scallops as it tasted raw and cool to the touch in the center. I'm not a scallop expert but this one missed the mark - the flavors were off with the sauce (tasted earthy). Presentation and color looked good, but this didn't taste good. Also came here breakfast several times. I don't have pictures, but each time the breakfast was amazing!
