He nicked my dog Poncho on September 21, 2020 (2nd photo) and never informed me and when I called and text him about it, he never responded. Without my knowledge he just groomed my auntie's 3 dogs yesterday and nicked 2 of them with scissors! He told my auntie's about one of them because it was so obvious, but failed to tell her about the 2nd one. These are our loved ones who we in trust our groomer to be careful and gentle with. Last weeks grooming was too much. He razor burned her belly and inside of her legs. I noticed this as the next day she was licking her belly constantly. I sent him a text to let him know about this but not a word or "I am sorry" was returned. He obviously doesn't care about his business. The Dogman Cometh is truly a great service. For the same price PetSmart wanted, Chris came right to the house. One dog he bathed and shaved and what made it great is he took my dog and 15 minutes or so later the dog is back (I'm sure that's dependent on the complexity of the cut). Chance, my dog, didn't have to wait around for other dogs to get their haircut first. That was all great but what was really impressive was he was able to trim my other dog's nails without issue. Now Miles, the second dog, is the sweetest dog you've ever met, that is until you try to trim his nails. At that point I'm pretty confident he is a direct descendant of Cujo. Chris handled him without issue. Five minutes and his nails were trimmed! The dogs looked great. Highly recommended. read more

Just had Chris and Kat groom our dogs and it went so well. Love that we don't have to drive the dogs to a groomer where they would sit in a cage for up to 5 hours. His price is comparable to what we were paying at the other groomer and it is so convenient. The dogs smell wonderful and they are very happy to just walk up the driveway and be home. If I could give 0 stars I would. I'm SO unhappy with my dog's haircut. I was at work so I had my dad show a picture of my dog with a past haircut that I wanted repeated. HE COMPLETELY RUINED MY DOG. It literally looks like he took clippers and just ran it not only over his entire body but his head and legs too! All one length which is completely absurd and unheard of. On top of that, he cut the ears way shorter than I wanted and left uneven tufts of hair all over his legs and body. He looks HORRID. I'm awful at grooming dogs but I could've done a MUCH better job at this myself. I texted him asking how he's going to make this right and he offered to come back and go over him again (even though there's no hair left to go over?!) and after I told him that he proceeded to tell me that "hair grows back" and he "saw the other dogs at my house and he's sure nobody is going to be laughing at my dog that he looks so bad", which is beyond rude and unprofessional. I wouldn't trust him to come near my dog ever again and if I were you I wouldn't let him come near yours either. So incredibly upset. read more

I would leave 0 stars if I could. First time customer. Recently moved to the valley. My pom was completely shaved like down to the skin. Somehow it is still uneven. The grooming took like 25 minutes which is so quick compared to every single other grooming he has had (including mobile). They took his nails down so short he winces when I touch them. He has not stopped shaking since the grooming unless I put a sweater on him. In the summer in the desert. Also, he did not have any mats and is brushed regularly. read more

He came to groom both my elderly dogs over the past years and has always been gentle and listened when I told him of their current issues, and remembered their ongoing issues. I HIGHLY recommend Chris ESPECIALLY where older dogs, and/or dogs with physical issues are concerned. He knows when I need to be in the mobile grooming unit to assist with holding my elderly dog or such, and he instructs his assistants accordingly too. Meaning, he remembers. This was our first time with Chris, we are very disappointed, our Luka was hurt (pulled muscles in his neck from being twisted to roughly) during his grooming. We spent (4) hours @ Desert Dunes Hospital. He is on Pain medication for (10) days. I would not have this man touch our dog again. My dog, Louie, received the worst cut possible. I called The Dogman Cometh and received a prompt call back and was scheduled for the next week. The day of the appointment Chris was over half an hour late and didn't call me to let me know. My boyfriend took Louie out at 10:30 am and saw the grooming truck arrive. We asked for a "lion cut" which Louie had growing out. Needless to say, they shaved his entire body and left a few strands on the top of his head. The owner of this business poorly communicates with potential clients. When I initially schedule an appointment for my dog to get groomed he did not show up and when I called approximately 15 minutes after the appointment time assuming that he may be running late or lost he stated he did not have enough business to waste his gas to come to my home. Although I was furious due to the poor communication I wanted to give him another chance so, I reschedule an appointment for my dog. On the date of the rescheduled appointment he never made contact stating he was outside of my home and simply left. When I called to see where he was he stated that "he was waiting outside for too long and he needed to move on". Not only does he communicate poorly he is very rude. If you were looking for someone that is reliable I would not recommend this business. I found Chris thru my neighbor, he grooms her 4 dogs. He came today to do a full groom on my shitzu mix and a bath for my CoJo. He was easy to book with and he and his assistant both gave my dogs loving attention. So happy to have a quick and expert groomer without the trouble of dropping off and waiting 4 hours to go back and pick them back up. If you love your pet, DO NOT use this company. Our Aussie is old and trips to the groomer wear him out. We thought a mobile groomer would be a better option. The first guy only did small dogs and recommended we try The Dogman... because they had two groomers to handle our large??? dog. The groomers were told, twice,not to shave or trim our dog. When we checked on him in the trailer he was getting a bath. Later the owner brought our stressed soaking wet dog, who likes the blow dry, to the door explaining the dog was too anxious to dry. He has shaved areas of the dog when we asked him not too. He lowered the price and left in a hurry. Our old guy was hurt. The feathers on his bottom were partially trimmed and his anus was bleeding. We think the they nicked him while trimming. Why would you trim a wet dog against the owners wishes? Or return an injured dog without explaining? Just awful! We would rate this with minus stars if Yelp would allow. read more
