Pretty nice spot for a quick donut and smoothie run. I only got a croissant, and it was kind of mid -- not bad, just nothing I'd go out of my way for. We also picked up donuts for the office, and everyone seemed to like them well enough, so no complaints there. We went while someone was being trained, and they apologized for it, but honestly... I couldn't even tell he was new lol. Everything still ran smoothly -- aside from him forgetting to charge us for a coffee, which the nice ladies made sure to remind him to add to our bill. as a doughnut connoisseur it felt obligatory to try a new location. since finding out some shops you pre made half backed doughnuts i was a little bit leary of trying something new. Anyways circle doughnuts had some tasty well priced doughnuts that seemed to be fresh. They had multiple people taking orders. I can't comment on their donuts as I came in solely to purchase my weekly allotment of CA lottery scratchers; therefore, I am reviewing based on my experience. Parking is congested and very tight (I almost didn't stop due to this reason). Establishment is very small and probably only a table or two (I didn't notice). This place does not seem like much from the outside but inside you'll find a giant menu of breakfast sandwiches, wraps and counters filled with delicious donuts galore. Very friendly service, lots of locals - you can also buy lottery tickets! Came on Sunday and there was a good mix of folks: kids getting a boba , older guys buying a ticket, coffee and donut, young family enjoying the outside seating. My croissant sandwich with egg, bacon, sausage was terrific! Perfectly toasted croissant, giant pieces of sausage, melted cheese. My husband was really happy with the avocado, egg and cheese breakfast burrito. It was after 10am on a Sunday and the donut cases were still packed full with a huge assortment of tasty baked treats. Our friendly server even threw in extra donut holes. So far I had the cronut and the cream filled chocolate topped donut. Both were so fresh and amazing! I highly enjoyed my bear claw. It was light and fluffy without being cloying and sugary. I was also surprised how fresh it tasted at 2pm. Normally, they are pretty stale by this time of day. Circle donut is a little better than your average donut shop. The day I went they had a few employees so even tho the store was packed, they handled everyone pretty well. They had a better selection of donuts than most donut shops I've been to. I purchased a dozen, which my gosh, has gotten expensive throughout the whole industry, but the donuts were very good and even tho it was more expensive they had specialty donuts like red velvet and blue berry cakes. I've been coming here for a couple of years now and it's one of my fav donut shops in town.The girls are very friendly and helpful. They always make the food fresh. I personally like this over Krispy or dunkin, it never gets crazy packed. Yes you can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes here as well if that's your thing. Parking can be limited during rush hour but you'll always find a spot somewhere. They have tables outside as well. Will continue to come here for breakfast. read more

The guy overcharged me $18+ and the lady asked him why when the dozen was only $16.95 no tax (the lady yells to him) then the story changed to they charge for containers. So I had to pay $1.50 for x 3 small containers I asked for. I asked for a bag they placed the bag on top of my items for me to bag it myself. I have never seen such money hungry individuals ever in life. Rule of thumb: When folks want a product you're selling people will wait (just as I did) I understand wanting to get the line down because your business is small BUT that doesn't justify treating paying customers poorly. After an early morning surf fishing session in Long Beach... with only two hours of sleep the night before, I found myself needing another cup of coffee and maybe something sweet for a sugary blast of energy in the 710 north. As Waze directed me to the freeway, I noticed Circle Donuts just past the big roundabout off PCH, and quickly turned left into the lot. This is a fine donut shop! Even at 10:45 on a Sunday, they still had a great selection of fried dough fare in the case. Counter folks were efficient but courteous, even when I waffled first a few moments between a maple bar and my usual... I got my Chocolate old fashioned and a piping hot cup of fresh coffee, and I was rejuvenated for my 20 mile commute back to the foothills. Dear Hubby and I each ate one of our choices there at the shop, as dessert after dinner. We took several more home and parceled them out for several days. High marks to the apple fritter, which wasn't overcooked, and had visible apple pieces. Not as impressed with the blueberry cake donut with lemon icing. Probably better fresh, though. The location is tricky, as the roads adjacent run at an odd angle to the strip mall. The outside vibe is lackluster. Inside, it's convenience store cachet. It's kept clean, though. It was National Library Week last week, so I decided on getting donuts from here, because I had picked up one the previous week and on the way out I spotted a tray of red velvet donuts.
