Kim and Cliff KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK and made my birthday dinner so special. The food? phenomenal. Flavorful. This is such a hidden gem. Thank you again for such a great experience Kim and Cliff! We will be back soon!!

Located in the AC Hotel (Marriott run) is The Dotted Line. For as long as they've been open I've not stopped in mainly because it is located smack in the center of downtown Honolulu and PARKING is a definite no-no. But this visit was on a Sunday with street parking and it was quiet as downtown Honolulu is busy on the weekdays for the most part. The majority of patrons were hotel guests. Anyway, here is my story They have happy hour from 3-6pm DAILY. They have a menu, limited but decent They have a full bar and almost every adult beverage can be converted to a mocktail Make reservations just in case I'm mistaken. High top, table and lounge seats available. If you are there on the weekday and it's for Happy Hour, then I recommend the table tops which face Bishop Street. Why? It's a great place to people watch PS- keep your eye out for their participation in Honolulu's Restaurant Week

Happy hour with a lovely crew! Thank you to my dear friends for taking us to The Dotted Line for our last evening. We arrived at the start of happy hour to a quiet, clean, and spacious restaurant. Located within the AC Hotel, the restaurant is modern, chic, and definitely emulates downtown vibes. Plenty of tables for all party sizes plus seating at the bar. Service was kind and courteous. We got the Taste of Aloha to share and the Kona Kampachi Crudo. Everything tasted great and the platter was the perfect portion for our happy hour tastings! We also took advantage of the deals for drinks too. For those in town, I recommend The Dotted Line for their pau hana! Nice deals and nice service. Come here with a group, you're bound to have a great time! Parking is street or garages only. Mahalo Terry K., Mitzi A., and Peter C. for a fab time!

Encouraged to come here for Restaurant Week and the $32 three-course menu is honestly a steal. Portions are extremely generous, you won't leave hungry. I would rate 3.5, but rounded up to 4 strictly due to Restaurant week price. Service was very attentive, and the space is surprisingly swanky for a hotel. Located inside AC hotel, street parking only. Elegant, modern, comfortable without trying too hard. The live music added a nice touch to our date night. Started with the Chinese Roast Pork Crunch Salad: fresh greens, roast pork, cabbage, mandarin, sprouts, cucumber. Huge portion. Ingredients were fresh and the pork had good flavor, but the mango vinaigrette didn't quite keep up with the size of the salad. A bit more dressing would have balanced it out. We shared so we could try everything. Entrées: 1) Golden Szechuan Noodles with Shrimp: perfectly cooked look fun noodles with a peanut-mala sauce and bok choy. Solid dish, but I wanted more of that signature Szechuan heat and numbing spice. The garlic shrimp were plump, well-cooked, and nicely seasoned. 2) Fresh Island Catch: the rice and kosho cream sauce were fragrant and comforting. The fish leaned overcooked, though the flavors around it helped make up for that. Dessert: the Basque cheesecake and dark chocolate truffles were the right portion after such big mains. Rich, small bites with salted whipped cream that tied everything together. Overall: generous portions, attentive service, great ambiance, and impressive value for Restaurant Week. A few execution misses, but plenty of highlights. Still worth coming back to explore the regular menu or pau hana for discounted food/drinks.

If you're downtown Honolulu looking for a nice happy hour spot, don't sleep on the Dotted line. It's at AC Hotel. Inviting ambiance - typical of a hotel bar. Service was good at the bar. Happy hour deals are good. Tried a few items. All were good but the chips that came with the ceviche were a bit stale. I would prefer taro chips instead. Otherwise, we enjoyed everything else. Limited draft selection but we went for the wine. They do have a speakeasy. I'll have to come back for that next time.

Came here to celebrate our awesome hard-working Admin, and had a reserved table just inside the entrance doors for our large party. Happily found two vegan entrees on the menu and split with my colleague the hummus wrap and tofu sando with truffle fries. Tofu was crispy fried but lacked any flavor, so it was just so-so. The hummus wrap was packed with veggies and at least had some flavor from the garlic in the hummus. The real star was the truffle fries, but to be honest, I've never had a French fry that I didn't like. Everyone seemed to enjoy their lunches including our Admin who has the bahn mi sandwich. Total for my portion of the lunch was just over $25. Only small downside was the barstool seating and thick table so my purse hangar couldn't fit and my backpack ended up hanging awkwardly off my chair. Still, this is a nice option for a sit-down business lunch in downtown with its modern ambience and prime location at the corner of Bishop and Hotel.

If I could rate this a 0 I would. I was so exited to try the new girl dinner which has been all over social media. Just to get ceaser salad with MAYONNAISE. Chicken nuggets are soggy with what tastes like sour cream. Usually I'd never leave a review and just take it on the chin but wow. 40 dollars for a disgrace of a meal. Super gross. Don't recommend. Edit- just tried the marshmallow which was so gross and a terrible texture Only thing I like is the hello kitty lollipop they give you from the gas station.

food - we had the restaurant week $32/person course, which included an appetizer, entree, and dessert. we got the chinese roast pork crunch salad, fresh catch, szechuan noodle and garlic shrimp, basque cheesecake and chocolate truffles. overall, every single dish was perfectly balanced and so yummy! this was such a great deal for the portions we got as well. definitely would come back again to try their regular menu. service: all the workers were very friendly and our server provided us with great and quick service :) ambiance: this is a lounge/bar/restaurant below a hotel in downtown, so there were a lot of guests as well as office pau hana groups. the interior is very clean, new and inviting! parking was a little tricky, but we were able to street park pretty close.

Snack in Downtown, Honolulu, Hawaii... We were actually looking for dessert, but since it was late in the afternoon, all they had left was chocolate cake. I was thinking that I could do it... and trying to talk myself into it... However, as I scanned the menu at The Dotted Line, I saw Beet Salad... one of my favorite things to eat! I had to have it! Yay! Located on the ground level of the AC Hotel Honolulu, The Dotted Line is an elegant, spacious restaurant/bar. It's on the left side of Bishop Street - at the Hotel Street corner. We parked for free in metered street stalls since it was a Sunday. Service by Kim was excellent. She saw us taking photos outside, opened the door for us, and welcomed us in! Friendly and conversational, Kim was very professional and efficient, even though it was only her third day on the job! We got glasses of water which Kim filled without our having to ask! When my Beet Salad arrived, Irene noticed that it was in the "dry" side and asked for more dressing. Kim brought it without hesitation! The Beet Salad was mostly arugula with four goat cheese balls that were lightly crispy on the outside. The balsamic vinaigrette dressing matched the beets well! I'm so glad that we had a chance to dine here! It was one of my bookmarks! I wouldn't mind returning again on a Sunday!

Just my vibe... You'll see that I use the dotted line in everything I do...in my reviews, text and even my notes as the indirect and simplicity of it expresses my viewpoint just the say I love it and this restaurant is exactly that as well. As many doors closes in these parts of chinatown and downtown this one remains open and though it would be the place for us to chill and relax with something sweet perhaps and to my surprise we did just the opposite. Walking in the first spot you see is the bar which is nice and had the football game playing where neighboring folks know and are planted there watching it all but the real draw for me was the rest of the layout is more of a lounging vibe with plushy chairs and even a sofa I really enjoyed the orange swivel chair and the timing of happy hour (daily 3pm-6pm) though the end of the week had many of the items unavailable all mentioned by our server Kim who was knowledgeable and told us right upfront before my final decision. It was the Szechuan Noodles per her recommendation and I already was eyeing it and this dish is filled with veggies (carrots, baby boy Choy, sprouts) with the crunch of cashews is yummy but it did pack an impressive heat along with the flavorful sauce it was a hearty dish and enjoyed it very much. I absolutely love the vibe here though parking is valet there are lots of options throughout the area and will definitely be back for the happy hour menu as it's pretty impressive and unique along with the seating as I got lost and had no idea of the time spent there. Thank you!

Had lunch at The Dotted Line which is located at the AC Hotel in Downtown Honolulu. Reservations are easy to make via Open Table. Staff was friendly and the set up is nice. I got the MISO YUZU SALMON which comes with, Bok Choy, Yuzu Miso Glaze, Togarashi, and Ginger Scallion Rice. The miso and yuzu paired very well and when you add in the ginger scallion rice, it was delicious. I had no leftovers and cleaned my plate. For dessert, my bf and I shared the dark chocolate cake. It was sweet, but good. Next time I am going to try the lobster roll.

First time at this happy hour spot in downtown. Happy hour is from 3 pm to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. It's located in the AC HOTEL and has a lovely ambiance with comfortable chairs! We tried the truffle fries and shrimp ceviche, both of which were $7. Our food arrived quite quickly! Overall, we enjoyed the place.

**More like 3.5 The hotel is fairly new so the restaurant was clean and bright. Came here for an early Galentine's Day and a lot of pau hana people were there. We tried ordering a couple cocktails like their martinis and something else but was told they were not able to make it because they haven't gotten the ingredients. I ended up just getting a regular dirty martini and my friend got another drink they had available and that was pretty good. I got the miso salmon and that was good. My friends got the Szechuan Noodles and Chicken Sandwich - server warned us those dishes were spicy and they were! Which is a good thing if you like spice which luckily we did. Those dishes were ok though. Food was ok and def could be better but for a lounge/bar I guess it meets expectations. Service was really slow. I couldn't remember if there was only one server or just one bartender but it did take a while for us to get our drinks and be checked on. Overall, place is ok. Glad I got to try it out.

Every single item on the food and drink menu is crafted with such robust flavor with so much dimension in each bite. The drink menu is unique, I had a cocktail I can't remember the name of it but it had plum something and was created by one of the servers there. So cool to see employees own work on the menu, he shared with us how hard and long he worked on the craft cocktail to make it perfect. Now this is a bartender! Would definitely recommend making a reservation, unless it's just you and maybe one other than the bar is mostly open seating I think. I got lucky and walked in on a Sunday night and there happened to be two open seats at the bar which i hear is unheard of due to the popularity that is this restaurant. It's a cute restaurant and is definitely a well oiled machine

I came here 2 weeks in a row so this is the review for both times. The first time I came by I went…read morewith my coworkers for my graduation lunch. They were very busy but thankfully we had a reservation. We started with the Fete Spread as the appetizer, the spreads are delicious, I like the green one the most, its nutty and slightly earthy The red one is tomatoey n sharper and the white one is creamy and sweet. This app also comes with refillable toast, which we definitely made sure to get another serving of. Then I was going to get the Korean steak as my entrée, however my coworker got it and I wanted to try something different and new so I went with the beef pot pie per the waitress' recommendation. However, I really wasn't that good in my opinion. I felt like the bourbon in the pie filling made it taste off and unappealing to me. Then I got dessert because why not. We got a lilikoi cheesecake from the Millie Fete bakery. I did not like the cheesecake very much as well. The chocolate mousse on top was good, thw cheesecake itself was good as well. However, the crust also had alcohol infused in it, which made it taste off and bitter to me. I even asked my coworkers to taste it and they agreed. We also got a scoop of kulolo ice cream. I didn't realize it was going to ALSO be infused in alc, I think it was rum, so again, the ice cream tasted slightly off to me. Kulolo is already perfect why mess with it... Also my OTHER frustration was that it took an OBSCENE amount of time for the cheesecake and ice cream. Logically, the cheesecake would just need to be plated and the ice cream just scooped. However it took 15-20 minutes for us to get the dessert which is ridiculous in my opinion. THE SECOND TIME I came, it was a slightly better experience. We had the spread and toast appetizer like previously and it was good again. WE also got the quinoa cakes and it was super flavorful and crunchy on the outside. I got the Korean steak this time around because I must try it. It was good, the scallion rice was good, flavorful. The steak was okay, it tasted good but I think it was a bad cut/quality of steak (they said it was ribeye?), but there were a lot of the silverskin/gristle (connective issue that can't be bitten through). Made the overall steak experience very unpleasant. I'm not sure HOW much I'd want to revisit as they have some pretty good dishes but some others are a little worse quality. Plus because of how busy they can get, the service might be a bit lackluster and even frustrating.

Baby ate some but was not really thrilled about it. I loved it. - Scallop and Mushroom Risotto - YUM. Delish. Baby liked it too. So much leftovers of everything. Realized when we ate it for leftovers it was all pretty oily and needed a pinch of salt. But otherwise great. Staff really nice and helpful. Love that the place is spread out and open. Bathrooms are not assigned which I'm sure can get gross, but is great to not have to wait for just the women's. There is a big stall which was perf since baby is potty training and had to go #1 and #2! Only thing missing was a hook to hang my purse and her bag. Great dinner...but if anyone is listening...bring back the shrimp and grits!!!

Prime rib sandwich came with salad and au jus sauce and a side of salad. It's good but also very filling. I didn't try the burger or teriyaki chicken but was told both were delicious. After dinner, we ordered a few items from the bakery to eat on the plane. You have to take a number and wait for them to call it. I got 2 kouign Amannn, 2 Dubai coco puff, and half dozen green tea puff. The kouign amann is a circular croissant. I liked that it was soft and flaky and had a sweet, crispy glaze over it. The Dubai coco puff had a strong pistachio crunchy flavor but I thought it was way too sweet for me personally. The Star of the show are the green tea cream puffs! Ordered the Milk tea bouquet cocktail while my better half had water ( either way the food coma knock him out cold the rest of the night lol).
