Plate lunches have never been so good! Normally, I would be eating my plate lunch from a plastic takeout container with a plastic fork from a food stand or truck. So, it's a welcome change to actually have a plate lunch on a real dish, using real silverware and sitting on a chair at a table instead of on a concrete wall! There are a few Oh My Grills around Oahu and this OMG in McCully is a short walk from Waikiki, but there is a parking lot if you're going to drive. The picture menu helps a lot in choosing from the many combinations, but the common theme is 1, 2 or even 3 proteins with scoops of white rice and of course, a scoop of mac salad or it wouldn't be a Hawaiian plate lunch. For this recent visit, I ordered the New York Steak & Garlic Shrimp Combo. The sirloin steak was more on the well done side, even though I ordered it medium, so I doused it in A1 steak sauce, but the garlic sauce from the shrimp was perfect with white rice. My wife ordered the Beef Lover's Mixed Plate with Hamburger Steak, Teriyaki Beef & Curry Beef Stew over Brown Rice and she couldn't finish that huge meal. Our friend went with the Wagyu Loco Moco, which looked great for the camera with bright sunny-side up eggs. I'm not sure how Wagyu the beef patties were, but she liked it. She didn't like the mac salad, so more for me! OMG also does catering, so if you want to feed a big bunch of people, they have a few combo party platters with everything on their menu to satisfy everybody. Pass the gau gee, please! read more

I love, love, love chicken katsu, so naturally I was very excited to try Oh My Grill. It's one of those comfort foods I almost always look forward to ordering -- crispy, golden, and satisfying. Unfortunately, this visit didn't quite go as planned for me. One important thing to know: they fry everything in the same oil. As someone with a shrimp allergy, that makes it unsafe for me to eat anything fried here -- including chicken katsu or even something as simple as French fries. I completely understand that it's not the restaurant's responsibility to cater to every allergy, but it was still disappointing to realize I couldn't have the dish I came in excited for. So instead, I ordered the lau lau plate. I genuinely enjoy lau lau, even though I'm not the biggest fan of the leafy outer portion. The flavor of the meat is usually the highlight -- rich, savory, and tender from slow cooking. Unfortunately, the meat in this lau lau was noticeably dry. Traditionally, you'll find chunks of pork fat mixed in, which help keep the meat moist and flavorful. I know some people don't love the fat, but it's part of what makes lau lau so satisfying -- and in this case, there just wasn't enough of it to balance the dish. That said, the portion size was generous, and the sides were consistent with a typical local-style plate lunch. The rest of our table had a better experience. My friend ordered the chicken katsu to share with her two young kids, and they all seemed to really enjoy it -- and still had leftovers, which says a lot about the portion size. Another friend ordered the beef curry plate, and she finished every bite, which is usually a good sign that it hit the spot. One unexpected part of the experience was the temperature inside the restaurant. It was very cold -- all of us at the table were noticeably uncomfortable. We even asked if the temperature could be adjusted because we were freezing. It never quite warmed up, and I ended up ordering hot water just to stay comfortable. On the positive side, the service was genuinely good. Our server was attentive, we didn't have to wait long for anything, and the staff overall were friendly and welcoming throughout the visit. Overall, this was a mixed experience. The restaurant offers generous portions, friendly service, and food that others in my group clearly enjoyed. For me personally, though, the shared fryer oil limiting my options, the dryness of the lau lau, and the very cold dining environment made this a place I'm unlikely to return to. Saturday February 21, 2026 we came here to eat lunch. We came here around 3:00pm. Plenty parking street level and basement parking too. But, there is a lot of other businesses in this popular shopping center. We found a table right away as it was empty at the time. Service is fast. Had the cheeseburger ($4.50 -- lettuce, tomato, and onion are 50 cents extra, each). The homemade patty is good: soft inside with crispy edges and nice flavor. It reminds me of old drive-inn burgers where the patty is mixed with bread, not just straight meat. It's a large, filling burger on a sesame bun. Seems like they steam it, but it's not soggy. Also tried the beef stew bowl ($11). It's more local-style with a tomato base rather than a darker beefy one. Large cuts of vegetables and meat, though the rice-to-stew ratio felt a little off (too much rice imo). They have a lot of good deals on local-style plate lunches: $10.99 chicken katsu, $8.99 hamburger meal (plain hamburger with fries and a drink--perfect for fussy eaters). Both times I went they were busy, and the people were helpful. It looks like you can eat in -- there are some tables and a host-style station when you walk in. It's clean and bright. They also have online ordering through their own platform, and the prices are the same. They're open really late too (midnight, I think). Oh My Grill is located on the ground floor near 7-11 in McCully Shopping Center. They offer dine in and take out. It's a clean and well lit restaurant. If you order take out, there is a POS system right by the door and they have their take out orders there. I went to the POS system and staff by the menu board inside since no one was working at the take out area and all the workers were there talking to each other. They pointed to that area implying I should go there to pay and get my order. It was somewhat helpful but not the best customer service experience. They have utensils and napkins also by the door for take out. I ordered their Chicken Fried Noodle and BBQ Mixed Plate (all rice). Portions are generous and the food was still hot when I got back to eat a quick lunch. The fried noodles were better than expected but the BBQ Mixed Plate was ok. I personally found the meat to be salty and I wasn't a fan of their dry rice. The Chicken Fried Noodle is something I can see myself ordering again. Recently, I have ordered a take out via Doordash since they are back to an in town location that can reach my house easily. Their menu is extensive and many options are quite good. They have great portions and are good value overall. I would even say that I enjoy Oh my Grill more than L&L or Rainbow Drive In. BBQ Pork & Mochiko Chicken Combo: 8/10. Personally, I liked this combo. The pork was a little tough to cut but had a good flavor. The chicken was quite good and both were a generous serving with 2 scoops of rice and Mac salad. Kalbi & BBQ Pork: 7/10. I did not get to try the Kalbi personally, but my guest stated that while it was nice and meaty, the flavor isn't as good as a traditional Korean location. They also said that their Pork was a little tough but had good flavor. They rated this dish a 7/10. Food is super good and the service is generally young and energetic. I would go back in a heart beat if not for one annoyance. They have an aunty server who must be the time cop. The minute we sat down she started asking us if we're ready to order, she asked us three times before we got through the enormous menu. Then it was the constant reminder that it was time for us to leave. "Do you want box?", "Do you want anything else?", "Anything else?", repeatedly. Yet when the aunty was standing right next to us scrolling on her phone, and we needed more napkins, we couldn't get her attention to save our lives. Stopped by to pickup a phone order for my friends which included chicken katsu. After checking on my order when I got in my car, I noticed the katsu sauce (3 plastic cups w/lids) were in a separate bag and one of the cups open & spilt all over the other cups n large puddle in the plastic bag. Not the first time happening from this store btw. I walked back in and requested new cups of sauce. Wow, the most disappointing and disturbing customer service I received from the male greeter/waiter. Practically threw the new sauce cups in another bag, tossed the open bag to me after numerous stink eye's and blatantly grumbling to the other counter staff about it. Got a Teri burger and fries. The fries were huge, but unfortunately not salted. The Teri burger patties were exceptional, delicious, and large, but the Teri sauce was lacking. I think the Teri is pre-dipped prior to cooking and not a sauce put on after. I am used to the latter version. Got a chicken katsu deal. 9.99. How can you dislike? The katsu was cooked well. Generous portion. The sauce was similar to L&L - orange and sweet. More more liquid-y than I prefer with the sauce, but it worked. Healthy bowl was good as usual. Huge portions, affordable prices, good quality, and friendly service. Literally what else can you ask from a quick service establishment like this. OMG recently renovated and finally reopened a month or two ago after being closed for a while. The establishment is now much cleaner and brighter than before filled with their cute mascot decorations. (Although I don't fully remember was it was like before). Their portions are so generous for the price and I always managed to be hit with that pleasant surprise. Just take a look at the combo plate me and my partner got (one chicken katsu curry and mochiko chicken), we were able to share that and call it a solid meal. I hate that I have to update my review. I don't know if it was a fluke day, but the service was not on par as our server openly coughed right over my head thank goodness we didn't have any food on the table at the moment my water glass tasted as if it wasn't washed so I didn't drink from it after that they have a point system that you can earn rewards if you pay with cash which we did and they never did give us the points when we inquired about it. They were confused if we did pay cash or not which we had just done less than five minutes. Another customer in there came to purchase gift cards of which they were told about the current promotion of purchasing $200 in gift cards you get a free $20 card. Only thing is the person was only purchasing $80 worth. It's like a whole fish, but they better it and take all the bones out so good and again huge portions which I will show in the pictures below definitely I must go when you're in Waikiki you will not be dissatisfied. You will be very happy so if you're ever in Waikiki try oh my grill it's well worth the money. The plates are $14-$15. Dollars there's places inside if you want to sit and eat in STAFF is very very friendly. Any questions we had. They were more than willing to answer which was really sweet and it's a really relaxing little place little restaurant to just sit. Relax you wanna take a break from the evening walk or just to go and have dinner lunch breakfastthey offer a very huge menu. A variety of food definitely will be coming back. First time visiting after they remodeled. They have a bright and clean layout with a good amount of seating with tables that can fit 2-4 people at a time. Their options are so affordable and IMO the portions are made to share or have two meals. I definitely recommend the Wagyu burger and New York steak! So we tried Oh My Grill at McCully Shopping Center for the first time tonight. Overall the experience was ok. The place is bright and pretty clean. The portions are very generous and the kids working the front of the house were friendly and generally helpful. Tables turned over pretty quickly, but they didn't try to rush us as two of my kids are young and are slow eaters. They were also pretty attentive when it came to refilling water. Some of the food was really quite good. I had the garlic fish fillet which they informed me was basa. One of my twins had the garlic shrimp spaghetti. Also pretty decent. My wife had the cold ginger chicken. The other twin ordered the rib eye steak. An ok value, but it came over cooked. When they asked what temperature for the steak, we asked for medium rare. What came out was close to well done.... From the pictures in the menu, I suspect the cooks only know to prepare it the way most Asians from HK or China prefer it, medium well to well done.... My eldest daughter chose the deep fried shrimp. These were good if you eat them with a sauce, such as the tartar sauce they provided. Unfortunately, my kid doesn't like or use tartar sauce or most sauces, so she just added a bunch of salt. It wasn't her style or taste, so we can't fault the staff or cooks. I actually thought it was pretty good with the tartar sauce. Oh, and I also shared a chili cheese fries with one of the twins. The portions for this was huge, but the chili was not what we were expecting. It was heavy on the tomato paste and not much on other seasonings or proteins. It actually reminds me of the spaghetti sauce at Tanaka Saimin on Nimitz. We saw some things on the drinks and desserts portion of the menu that we will want to try next time, like the acai bowl and the dark chocolate hot cocoa. Overall, this place was a nice change for us and a decent bargain. However, we probably wouldn't order the steaks and stick to things that are garlic or have a good sauce or gravy. If they learn to cook the steaks at temps like an actual medium rare, we might consider giving the steaks another try. read more

The table next to me ordered fried rice and it could feed 4 people comfortably. There are some entrees that come in two sizes. I think I recommend the smaller size. We really enjoyed everything but my least favorite was the cold ginger chicken. I don't really care for ginger chicken like that and it was too cold for my liking. Fool me once, as they say. Triple check your order if you come in for their soggy sandwiches and missing items. They'll gladly charge you for extra items like tomato but but if you insist several times you don't want something like mayonnaise, they'll slather it on. 7-11 is right next door. My brother and I went to Oh My Grill for lunch. He ordered sweet sour spare ribs and I ordered the meat lovers special. His order arrived within a few minutes but I was still waiting for my order after 15 minutes. By that time, my brother was already halfway finished with his meal. Yesterday was just a really exhausting day of cleaning up so I ended up using Door Dash We ordered from Oh My Grill that's in the McCully Shopping Center. My husband and I went there when they did their soft opening. It was super busy. My mom had the mini Teri Pork. She was happy that they offered tossed salad. She said she was tired of Mac salad. They provided ranch dressing but since we were at home she used her own dressing For a mini she had pretty nice sized pieces of the Teri pork . She loved the taste. She told me to remember that she really liked this dish. Not sure why but I've been on a Chicken Katsu run for the last few days Their Katsu wasn't greasy and instead of Mac salad I got all rice. The Katsu was soft and juicy and not over cooked. The Katsu sauce was meh so I used the Katsu sauce I had in my refrigerator instead Overall we will eat here again.
