    3-flavor sampler
    Garrett R.

Definitely different, but if you are a raw cookie dough fan, this is the spot for you. I had the sampler with traditional chocolate chip, cookies n cream, and Peanut butter with mini m&ms. The texture is spot-on and the flavor is definitely there for the pb and traditional. Cookies n Cream left alot to be desired. The ice cream selection is limited, but will satisfy anyone who is not s cookie dough fan. There are also baked cookies and rice crispy of fruity pebble bars. Hot beverages are also available.

Such a fun idea and very yummy. You can definitely overdo it if you're not careful, and that's coming from a sweet tooth!! Would go!! We stepped outside and ate at the bench while watching otters. So cute!

The location is absolutely gorgeous, but I can't recommend this place. The cookie dough was gummy and very sweet, and the staff was cold and didn't greet or thank me which I know isnt a big deal, but it just felt weird. I would probably try it again, but my expectations are low.

What an adorable little shop! We walked in because something smelled really good - it was a little cookie dough shop! They have edible cookie dough and ice cream. A variety of flavors, they also have cooked cookies too. Right by the water, it was a cute little place. I got birthday cake cookie dough and rainbow sherbet, soooooo good! Everyone should go check out this place!

5 stars for this lovely little dessert shop serving cookie dough and Icecream. The lady behind the counter was super nice and even packed the cookie dough nicely for my 4 hour drive. I got the Rocky Road cookie dough with the Janice Almond Icecream (in a cone) and it was the best combination ever. Birthday Cake and Classic Chocolate chip for home. The dough traveled well.

I had a great time at Dough Creations. The ice cream was tasty - we tried vanilla, strawberry, and cookies and cream. It's a perfect choice for a hot day!

Almost walked right past this place because we usually stop at Crills to grab a cinnamon roll, but they were closed. I just happened to look up and see the sign for the dough connection, and we all decided to give it a try. The first thing you should know is that they are located in the far back corner of a main hall that you can easily miss. So now that you have found them, you now can enjoy great ice cream, cookies, other desserts, ready to eat cookie dough, and more. My kids all got a scoop of ice cream which they all said was some of the best they have had and my wife got a scoop of cookie dough and ice cream together which she said was a really nice combination. I'm pleased to have found the dough connection and hope they are here to stay.

Cookie dough you can eat!! There are no eggs in the cookie dough. The staff was so helpful and friendly. They explained to us what the dough was and how they serve it. They let us sample flavors. They sell cookie dough cups, you can mix it with ice cream and they also sell cookie dough paired up with baked brownies. Such a unique dessert and soo good. I ended up getting the brownie cherry dough with a scoop of strawberry ice cream. We got 2 cups and it came out to $10 which I felt was very reasonable. Definitely will have to come back next visit.

On our first visit to Morrow Bay the Dough Connection caught our eye from the street as we parked. My boyfriend and I are both avid cookie dough lovers and instantly knew we had to try it. We were greeted immediately by the owner April as we walked in. She was so incredibly sweet and welcoming and made the experience even better. She let us sample the cookie dough flavors and explained all about the other goodies they had. To our surprise she said they just opened the prior week (new location) and we are so glad they did! Definitely recommend this awesome sweet spot to anyone who is in the area

I purchased the pain au levain, in lieu of a baguette, for $12. The price is pretty steep for a loaf, but seems to be the going rate for these smaller boutique bake shops. The bread itself was warm when I purchased it, which was awesome. Enjoyed it with my coffee, but did find it to be a little doughy on the inside. Good flavor, but not something I would come back for. I'd rate it a solid 3.5. I also purchased the chocolate chip cookies. I think I completely went brain dead when I bought these, because I did read they were gluten-free and vegan, but still bought the pack of 6. Man, they looked like chocolate chip cookies, but didn't taste like chocolate to me, at all. For a regular chocolate chip cookie lover, it's a 1 star. For someone looking for a gluten-free and vegan cookie, this could be a winner. Maybe.

Hello! You had me at absolutely charming!…read more First of all, I've never been to Morro Bay and it was probably the only torrential rainy day in a Century. Being from Seattle, I'm nothing but used to the rain. But this little visit to the bakery warmed my heart. As we drove to the bakery we stopped at Morro Rock, , so I could actually see the amazing 23 million year old monolith. So fun to see the surfers out there! As we started driving into a neighborhood to get to the basket, I was like, "What? Am I going to Gramma's house?" And then, we pull into the freaking cutest little beach house with a garden that made the bleakest day make you feel like sunshine and rainbows. Upon entry, the baked spices and smells blow your olfactories! Yummm! We felt the young lady was very overwhelmed with all the baking!! And maybe our dumbfoundedness was overwhelming. Or maybe I was overwhelmed with so many amazing options and goodies!! She had just pulled something out of the oven. We ordered lemon curd and raspberry tarts, brownies, curry croissants, ham and cheese croissant, french onion soup croissant and some other cookie that someone snuck in on the sly. Sadly, there was no seating there, so we had to take everything to go. Luckily we were only 10 min away. Everything was epically delicious. Especially the flaky curry croissants!!!! They really know how to do it!!! If we had more time we would try their bread. I can't imagine what this place is like when it's peak season but it must be crazy! It is a must visit!!!

Theres also a really good restaurant there, Frankies n' Lolas. See my review. Anyways I'm waiting to pick up a ride, she bumped me to a later pick up time, twice...err. So I went into the Smoothies place to check it out, oh and write a review as I wait. Cozy as it gets with the friendly staff, actually looked like they enjoy the job and human interactions. I asked for a Mango something smoothie but no pineapple, be creative. The place has a good variety of drinks and edibles, sandwiches, salads, avocado toast, and on and on. If you don't see it they would probably make it for you. Now granted I was the only order being made at this moment and my smoothie was delivered to me as I sat at the bistro table out front. I was surprised how flavorful the smoothie was, I don't know why I thought that but it did taste good, a bit pricy. I'm good with pricy and this was backed up with quality ingredients and stellar service. Ah...yes and supporting local business is good for everyone Thanks, I'll see you again! Foodguy-Martin

Walking in, you can tell this is a classic neighborhood café. There's nothing overly fancy about it--just a few tables, a small pastry case, and, of course, coffee. One thing that surprised me was the music choice. They were playing what sounded like punk rock, which felt a little out of place for the atmosphere of the café, especially since many of the customers appeared to be older adults. For my order, I went with a blueberry muffin and a cappuccino. The muffin was fresh and flavorful, and the cappuccino was well made. Overall, I was happy with both items. The reason I'm taking off a star is because the employee working during my visit used a lot of profanity while speaking. I understand that casual conversation happens, but I don't think that kind of language is appropriate in a café setting where customers are trying to relax and enjoy their coffee. Overall, I would recommend this place if you're looking for a quick grab-and-go coffee or pastry. The food and drinks were good, but the atmosphere wasn't ideal for sitting down to study, work, or have a conversation with someone.

This bakery is simply amazing and everything I tried was so good. 2. I ordered a kouign amann, chocolate croissant, morning bun, double chocolate cookie, and two caneles. If I could order more, I would've added a rice pudding danish, basque cheesecake slice, and madeleine. I love that when standing in line, you can peek into the kitchen to see what the bakers are working on. It's really nice to see the process and work that go into everything. 3. Their chocolate croissant is my ideal chocolate croissant. I love when the outer layer is crisp and the inner layers are soft and buttery. The caneles were yummy - they were crispy on the outside, custardy on the inside, and the flavor was perfect. I loved the double chocolate cookie as well, it had great texture and the flavor was very balanced - not too sweet! 4. Even if it's a bit out of the way, I would absolutely come back every time I'm in the area.

The space itself is cute and has the feel of a neighborhood hangout, and the pastries are beautifully presented. Unfortunately, the pastries were hit or miss. Some were nice and flaky, while others tasted a little stale. The ham and cheese croissant was served cold, which was disappointing. We also tried the strawberry danish and tomato danish, and both were pretty mid. The standout, however, was their seasonal fig and walnut danish--that one was actually really good and something I would have ordered again. Their drink selection is also pretty limited. It was essentially coffee and hot chocolate when we visited. As more of a tea person, I was disappointed that there weren't any tea options, and they didn't have juices either. The main reason for my low rating, though, was our interaction with the staff member who took our order. She came across as very rude and repeatedly made impatient tapping sounds while we were ordering. We were ordering quite a few items, and the interaction made me feel rushed and as though we were inconveniencing her simply by placing a larger order. At first, I assumed she might just be having a bad day. But while we sat and ate our pastries, I watched her interact with other customers, and her demeanor was noticeably different--warm, friendly, and welcoming. That contrast made our experience even more uncomfortable. We were the only Asians in the store at the time, and while I obviously can't know what motivated her behavior, the difference in how we were treated compared with the customers who came after us left me wondering whether our race played a role. That's a serious conclusion, and I don't make it lightly. I can only speak to what I personally observed and how the interaction made me feel. Unfortunately, it overshadowed the entire visit. Even with a couple of good pastries, I wouldn't come back.
