I love local drive in restaurants and try to stop when I come through town. They have a drive up window, walk up window and indoor seating. I used the drive through since I had my dog with me. They took my order quickly, but be prepared to wait for a bit while they prepare your order. I ordered fries and a cheese burger which I ate in the park around the corner. The food is hot and fresh. I really liked the fries. They are a bit thicker than others, with a really good crispy outside. The cheese burger was delicious. I also ordered a kids cup of soft serve vanilla to share with my dog. This place is a gem tucked across from the high school. If you are coming through, stop by.

Really fun little drive in not too far off I-15! We were looking for a cute local spot to grab a quick bite on our road trip from Denver to Las Vegas while we were passing through Beaver. We also had our dog with so we had to make sure it had an outdoor eating area. Then we came across The Drive Inn (fka Mel's Drive In) and knew we found our spot. When you pull up it's not super obvious where to go if you want the traditional drive-in experience but if you drive around the building you'll see where to park. Otherwise if you want to eat in or grab it to go, you can park and walk inside. The menu has a surprisingly big selection despite their small building with really reasonable prices. From burgers to salads to wraps to tots, there's something for everyone. Even an assortments of desserts including ice cream and Dole Whip for some after dinner fun. We both grabbed a double cheeseburger meal and it was delish! Exactly the kind of burger you'd want from a drive-in. If you do make your way inside, there's a small video game arcade including Walking Dead pinball which was a fun surprise.

    Patty Melt

Quick, cheap bite that was a bit too greasy for me. I had requested no mayo on the patty melt but they were more than happy to remake it for me. However, the did have Big Buck Hunter.

First off, the fries and fry sauce are straight up ballin, amazing job there. The burger was good too, don't get me wrong, but so few places get AMAZING fries and AMAZING fry sauce, and these guys have all 3. I was driving down to Vegas and stopped in Beaver for something to eat, drove by and came in. Service was fast, food was hot, and great. What more can one person ask for. Give it a try, you won't find a better burger spot in town.

*bonus* Fun drink menu too !

Service here was slow but the people who work here were nice. The cheeseburger was pretty good but I've had better. The fries were excellent though I would give the fries five stars!

Employees...waited over 35 minutes for food, no one in restaurant. Finally asked if it was ready and they handed food over cold. Then made shake and drinks as they forgot. Could here them in back messing around. Asked if food was waiting for a while received a shoulder shrug. Food was not good/burnt

    Pineapple & Raspberry Dole Whips.

Went here for one reason on our road trip home... Dole Whips. Ice cream stops are a must on our road trips. They keep my wife happy and counteract any complaints about my "beer with dinner" requisite. None of us had ever had a Dole Whip, but have heard of their popularity. They are a cross between ice cream and sherbet, with strong fruit overtones that are not overly sweet. We had the pineapple and raspberry flavors. They were enjoyed by all and ensured my dinner in Orem (with limited dinner options that serve alcohol) would be accompanied by a cold beer... or two. I am cunning.

A Must-Stop on I-15! Do yourself a favor and stop at Arshel's Loaded Burgers in Beaver!…read more We ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and the bacon cheeseburger, and both were absolutely outstanding. The beef patties were juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. You can tell they use quality ingredients and take pride in what they serve. The French fries deserve their own shout-out. They're made from real potatoes, skins and all, and cooked to crispy, golden perfection. They were the perfect complement to the burgers. The staff was incredibly courteous, friendly, and helpful, making us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere captures Utah at its best--comfortable, unpretentious, and with just the right touch of country charm. It's easy to see why this place has such a loyal following. Whether you're a local or just traveling through Beaver, Arshel's is absolutely worth the stop. We'll definitely be back!

They were little busy but not too much. Stood in front waiting as one waitress looked at us, didn't say a word and kept on doing what she was doing. Another gal came by and said she will be right with us. Eventually got sat and got to order food. Menu had funny names and sounded pretty good. I didn't know what to order so I went safe route and ordered fried fish (cod) with tater tots. Also ordered the Branding iron cheese steak and The barnyard burger. Food took little longer than expected but they did have a large table before us Food finally arrives and well, what can I say, had one of those should have would have could have but didn't moment. My 3 fish pieces and tator tots looked like straight out of the frozen box from the grocery store. Now I did not expect them to be fresh catch off the ocean and hand battered but I just could not help the presentation and feeling I got. The sandwich looked OK and cheese was not quite melted. Hamburger looked good though. Fish tasted like it looked, although they were crispy right off the fryer so that was a plus. Tator tots and French fries were alright, at least crispy. Sandwich was another disappointment. The sandwich bread was nice and soft but I could not get over the cheap grocery store deli meat roast beef taste for the beef. I did not try the burger but did see the yoke ooze out as first bite was taken. I was told burger was pretty good. Over all service was pretty good but food just was very disappointing. I wanted to like this place but maybe I just had too much expectation.

This is now the SECOND time we've had this exact experience at this location. It's completely unacceptable for employees to turn away paying customers because they're too lazy to do their jobs. If items are truly unavailable, that's one thing--but refusing service because staff don't want to prepare the food is a whole different problem. Corporate needs to investigate what's happening at this restaurant, and the owners should be extremely disappointed. Every customer turned away is lost business, and it's damaging the reputation of the entire brand. There is clearly a lack of accountability and oversight at this location. We won't be returning, and I would encourage others to think twice before wasting their time here.
