The food was excellent. The service was outstanding. The drink selection was perfect. The only thing keeping me from giving this place five stars was the lighting if you can believe that. They have these cool booths that face the bar so you can see all of the TVs that hang above the bar. Unfortunately they have this funky light fixture that hangs directly in front of the TVs, so from the booths you can only see about the bottom one-third of them. Who designed that? This was really good. The fried chicken is definitely the specialty and the hot honey is so good! The Mac and cheese was huge and excellent. The biscuits were ok but the jam made them better. The Eagle has quickly become one of my favorite local spots to grab dinner and a drink. I went with a couple of friends on Friday night. We sat at the bar. We were starving, and thirsty, which is how one should come to this place. The food was incredible - we ordered the chicken BLT, half chicken, the summer salad, and a bunch of sides to share. (The fries are a must - I don't know how they get them THAT hot so consistently, plus I have dreams about the aioli.) For drinks, I ordered my usual beer on tap (they have a decent selection - mostly local) and one friend ordered the ranch water. My other friend requested a particular drink that's not actually on the menu, and the bartender Todd whipped up a fabulous one. Todd kept us laughing most of the night, and provided really awesome service all around. My friends loved the experience, and agreed they'd return. I'll definitely be back soon! read more

I'm so glad that my friend and I were able to check this place out opening weekend! The atmosphere is amazing! I was promptly greeted when I came in to add my name to the waiting list. After that, I was addressed by my name for the rest of the visit by the host, which gave the visit a very friendly and personal feel (I wish I knew his name to shout him out...perhaps it was one of the owners). The chicken is well seasoned and juicy! It's a good deal to just get the whole chicken and order a few sides for the table. The Mac and cheese was our favorite side! I didn't try the greens because they have pork in them, but my friend said that they had too much vinegar, but otherwise they would've been really good. The spoonbread and the sweet potato crock were both delicious as well. I can't wait to visit again. read more

I want to start off by saying this place was clean, and I greatly appreciate the southern hospitality. I came in right when they opened and was greeted by Tatiana who had amazing engery and ended up being our server. We had the bacon as an appetizer which was glazed with brown sugar, nice sweet heat. For a entree we had the fried chicken blt, love the relish. 1/2 fried chicken served with the delicious honey syrup which is made in house. Sides we choose mac and cheese, fries and shrimp and grit. Yes, I said it you can get shrimp and grits as a side.. How awesome! Last recommendation bourbon punch! You can thank me later. Really enjoyed my visit and look forward to returning.. First time trying The Eagle, and it definitely won't be the last!! We were met with super friendly staff members & a really cool, upscale interior design. Really excited to finally have a place like this in Atherton!! Started out with a couple appetizers ("Snacks") and would recommend the hush puppies, brown sugar bacon and sausage & kale dip. The hush puppies were some of the best my husband and I have ever had - made with fresh ingredients - and the Comeback Sauce is to die for!! The brown sugar bacon was amazing and we couldn't stop eating the sausage/kale dip. My husband tried the Maple Bacon Old Fashion & I got the Bourbon Punch - again...both amazing. For someone that doesn't typically like bourbon, this one wasn't too harsh, & I would recommend if you like cranberry cocktails!! For dinner he tried the 1/2 chicken with the spicy hot honey, something he's never tried before but really enjoyed!! I tried the fried chicken BLT & loved the avocado relish!!
