Met my favorite claims examiner while in Charlotte for lunch at Mimosa Grill. Cute little place with a nice menu. I had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich no bread. The flavor was really good with sriracha brown sugar bacon, caramelized onions, mayo, lettuce and served with house chips (I think they were sweet potato). Colleagues had (1) Falafel Grain Bowl with chickpea, tomatoes, quinoa, carrots, arugula and cucumbers and (2) Fried Chicken Bowl with rice, avocado, pickled red cabbage and a honey mustard sauce. Mimosa Grill in Uptown Charlotte sounds like a breakfast / brunch spot but I actually came out here for dinner with our business partners. It accommodated our large party and we were seated in a rather spacious area. The service we received from our server was excellent. She brought out all the appetizers and entrees we ordered, as well as the bottles of red and white wines including some fancy cocktails. I stuck with a simple dish of meat and potatoes but envied the "prettier" dishes my colleagues ordered. While the presentation of my dish was lacking, the flavor was good. Texturally, the meat was a tad bit overcooked for my liking. I did enjoy the olive oil cake for dessert. And the smoked fish dip was okay. The ambiance is what makes this restaurant a favorite. The building outside of Mimosa Grill was beautiful walking in but even more gorgeous at night with the dark skies and bright lights from the building. Came here last week for a private party dinner. The restaurant was pretty quiet and the service was okay. Food was great but they were pretty strict about no substitutions. It's possible I would come back. For a Friday night, it wasn't very busy. Most of the food I had was good but the salad was bland and really lacked flavor. Definitely had to ask for salt and pepper! Mimosas Grilled is my work team's go-to lunch spot whenever we are in the office. It is located inside the Wells Fargo building. The interior is cozy and spacious with large windows. We usually make reservations through OpenTable and they're always able to accommodate our group on busy weekdays. I'm not sure how often Mimosas Grill updates their lunch menu but I always see new items whenever I visit. Portion sizes are solid for the price and I would say it's generally around $15-$25 for lunch. Service is friendly and consistent. We never had to wait too long for our food and everything I've had so far has been pretty good. I can't speak for the parking since I walk from the office but if you're uptown and need a solid lunch spot, this is the a great option! read more

Checked out Mimosa Grill with a couple girl friends this past weekend! It was my first time there after my friends said she enjoyed brunch there previously. They do offer a validated parking in the Wells Fargo garage, which was super helpful given that the location is in uptown. Despite being in city center, the menu prices were actually very reasonable! There were a number of things I would have ordered, but settled on the classic sammie which came with house chips, which were sweet potato flavored. No complaints since I love sweet potatoes, so it was a nice surprise, although it might be good to mention that on the menu. I wish I was in the mood to drink to try some of the mimosas or even had enough room for dessert since there were some pretty tasty options on the menu. The service here was excellent! The food was alright. Everything seemed locally sourced. The portions were not big. What stoodout was the garlic and herb focaccia bread, because it's not only baked but then grilled with sear marks and so soft and chewy. It looked like more than just bread. Came for dinner and like the name no mimosas in the evening lol. I didn't like the pumpkin flan the flavors pairing with the smoked pumpkin croutons didn't wow me. This is an upscale restaurant to go for a special occasion. I went here with a few co workers for lunch to celebrate a new job. We were seated quickly on the outside patio (which is nice). Our server quickly got our drinks and order. I got a chicken sandwich and wanted to add cheese with the sweet potato chips. My coworkers got salad bowls. My sandwich didn't have cheese on it, but it was delicious and so were the chips. We were in and out quickly. Our bill was ~$70 for 3 people for lunch. Everything we got was delicious. The food was seasoned perfectly, nothing was overpowering including the sweet tea that has a lemon splash. We were surprised that the restaurant was so quiet on a Saturday night. We visited Mimosa Grill before seeing a show at the Belk Theater. It was a short walk from our hotel and a short walk to the theater. Mimosa Grill is a solid example of a farm to table restaurant. All of the ingredients tasted fresh and were interesting. One of the dishes had kohlrabi as an element. My spouse ordered the half roasted chicken and I had the salmon. We were hungry when we came in and each of us ate our entire portion. I would consider the portion sizes to be reasonable. Not huge, but not small, either. The protein came paired with a delicious side. The chicken was thoughtfully deboned and served with mashed potatoes and winter season veggies. The salmon came with a risotto that included greens (spinach, if I recall correctly). The menu also lists the farms where Mimosa Grill sources their food. We finished off with peppermint bark cheesecake. Service was good--attentive and friendly. The prices were reasonable for a scratch kitchen with locally sourced food. I would return. read more

We came by on a quiet Friday night with a larger group. The place has been a mainstay of Charlotte and there's a lot to like in it. The service though struggled to get drink orders right, to get water refilled and the other little things. That's a shame because I enjoyed the food. We started with so much of apps. The crab and pimento cheese puppies were a highlight. Some of the others weren't great for sharing. The shiwhito peppers could've used a bit more in the oven to tenderize them. But the relish board had a nice mix of cheeses and pickled vegetables. I got the market fish with a red snapper. The fish was a little on the smaller side but it was tender and quite good. The collard greens weren't advertised but were a good classic version with bacon. The desserts were fine. The chocolate banana cheesecake wasn't my favorite. Inside is really nice I sat on the patio right before the bad storm came Kale salad was warm and had a weird off putting taste either thou I love kale salads Fish sandwich was not digestible. The bun was cold and really firm. The fish was hot out the grease but zero flavor like NO season. No cajun no salt no paper no nothing. The waitress was polite but not knowledgeable of the menu items. My dinner partner order shrimp and grits and they said it was flavorless and only ate the shrimp. However they enjoyed the tomatoe soup. I also paid $18 to park on the parking deck down the street I didn't know they would validate my parking ticket if I was in the Wells Fargo parking lot. I don't go to uptown often because of the expense parking decks. I would not come back here. Some many other places to chose from and food was actually pretty bad. We had our Father's Day Brunch here. We made a reservation and, even though we were a little late, they sat us very promptly. In fact, the service was great throughout our entire visit. The atmosphere was really nice. They offer booths, tables, bar seating and patio seating. Great for small or large groups. We were sat in a booth near the bar. Unfortunately, we could hear everything the staff said, even the manager getting upset. Also, the restroom could use some attention. The food was pretty decent, but nothing special. I tried the Brioche French Toast. The edges were burnt, but the middle tasted fine. It doesn't come with any sides and they skimped on the fruit. When I say I dream about this chicken, it was the perfect balance of sweet with a little kick, the crispness was perfect, everything about it was amazing. I'm a huge fan of Mimosa Grill and am ashamed to know that although I've been here several times and had great experiences I haven't written a review before today. And this is probably the least satisfied I've been so that's not ideal. I came in for lunch and was immediately greeted and seated. The staff is always so polite and helpful and I love that there is plenty of seating on the covered patio which is so comfy. Our server Bryce was awesome and helped me make a decision on a lunch meal. I usually get the burger but today was in the mood for something different. I was torn between the salmon entree and the scallops and went for the scallops. They were absolutely delicious - seasoned perfectly and cooked perfectly. The scallops arrived on a bed of risotto with pesto on the side. Immediately I noticed the size of the portion in relation to the other meals coming out around me. My meal portion looked like a snack - or at least an appetizer - compared to the others. The salmon, panko chicken, salads, were all good size portions and when I saw my dish I immediately know I would be hungry before leaving the office for the day. As I mentioned, I was pleased with the taste, but not the quantity. I hope management will consider making this a larger portion.. add some veggies like brussels sprouts or green beans maybe to round this out and leave a customer more satiated. Or even a small portion of greens on the side. I felt slighted and would have gladly paid a few dollars more for another item on the plate. Even though the scallops were tasty I regretted not ordering a different dish and I know that my male relatives would definitely have needed to order a second menu item to feel full. My first time here and definitely will be retuning! We went for brunch on a Sunday around 12. We were around 15 minutes late to our reservation but were seated soon regardless. Our server was Chad. He did a good job and made a few recommendations. He was attentive but not overbearing. The food was great! We got the brunch smash burger, lemon buttermilk pancakes, breakfast bowl, and a carafe of the classic Bellini. The pimento cheese on the burger was perfect. The pancakes were fluffy. I was originally trying to go to Tupelo Honey, but they were closed due to "international hiring day", so they were conducting interviews all day. That's fine, the lady told me there was another really good brunch place called Mimosa Grill only like a block away, so that's where I headed. I was able to be seated immediately, I chose to sit outside because it was a gorgeous day in Charlotte. I really loved the location of this restaurant, it sits right on some sort of plaza, where many street entertainers come to make a few tips. I had the pleasure of eating brunch while a street performer played on the saxophone. My waitress was really nice!
