When we parked we were by the outside bar area and walked through it to get to a hallway to the restaurant lobby. It must've been on the other side of the entrance because we didn't see it. You have options of an outside beach bar, indoor bar, inside restaurant, indoor restaurant seating with views of the sound/bay, or seating on the outdoor deck. We could see the view from our indoor table and it was nice. They have some warm rolls served with their in house churned butters! My gawd! I think the honey butter is my favorite but the strawberry butter was delicious too! These are a great start to the meal. We both ordered the stuffed grouper which was stuffed with the crab cake mix topped with shrimp & covered with a garlic cream sauce. It was good. Mine had some fish bones in the fillets and I could do without the stuffing. It was more mushy than I'd like but I'd order the dish again sand the stuffing or ask them to cook it outside the fish so it's not as mushy. The garlic green beans were good. They had a Woodford double oaked smoked. Old fashioned as a drink special. It was decent. They could've left the smoker top on a tad longer and definitely they need a large block ice. It was essentially a small block cube in the glass. I'd go back if we returned to the area. It was our first time in Navarre but probably won't be our last. The service was good; our server was friendly. I wish I could remember her name but she said she's traveled all a long the east coast and is from MD maybe and that their crab cakes rival those in Annapolis . That might be but not the ones in Baltimore..

Unfortunately, the food and service experience didn't match the setting. I ordered the crab-stuffed blackened grouper with jalapeño crust, a house salad, and queso mac & cheese. Ordering was confusing from the beginning. I initially asked about having the grouper blackened and was told I couldn't, then asked for the jalapeño crust. When my food arrived, I was told they don't do that preparation on this particular dish. It didn't feel like our server knew the menu well enough to guide me through the options. The grouper itself was underwhelming and lacked seasoning. Then I found a hair on my plate. I was immediately offered a replacement, but at that point I didn't want the meal remade. I was told twice that a manager would come speak with me. Instead, the check came almost immediately, my meal was removed, and a manager never came to the table. It honestly felt like the priority was getting us checked out rather than having a manager actually address what happened. For a waterfront seafood restaurant, I expected the food to be the highlight. Instead, the atmosphere was the best part of the experience. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return for the food.

The setting was also beautiful. We chose to sit outside overlooking the bay. While it was dark enough that we had to use our phone flashlights to see our food, we didn't mind because the skyline view was lovely and we enjoyed watching the glow-in-the-dark kayaks on the water. Unfortunately, the service was a different story. You order and tip at the counter before being served, then find your own table. Once seated, it was unclear whether food would be brought out, whether our name would be called inside, or what the process was. No one ever came outside to check on us, offer napkins, provide condiments, or ask if we needed anything. I eventually sent my 11-year-old daughter inside to ask for napkins. The restaurant was not busy, and there appeared to be plenty of staff on hand. However, it felt like everyone was focused on cleaning and closing for the night rather than taking care of the guests who were still dining. My only suggestion would be to reconsider the tipping process. Since gratuity is collected before any service is provided, it's difficult to know what level of service you're rewarding. If I returned, I would likely skip the pre-tip option and bring cash to tip afterward based on the actual experience. The food was excellent, but the lack of service left a lasting impression. Based solely on the meal, I'd absolutely return. Based on the service, I'm not sure I would.

Loved the food, the service, the ambience and everything in between UNTIL my wife and I decided to…read morego alone one night, as our lodging was directly across the street. I won't lie, my wife looked exquisite that night! We had been down by the bar for about 10 minutes as we were waiting for our table, as is very common on almost every night! We order two mixed drinks from the bar, even though waiting in line at the bar was just as much a wait for a table at times... my wife notices a gentleman down at the end of the bar and he's eyeballing or making her feel slightly uncomfortable... and as we wait for our drinks to be made, which took an unusually long time as they were sitting at the end of the bar at the bartender tried to feel five and six hours at a time, which in itself is not in common either... so I finally get the drinks and I noticed one has a cherry and one doesn't. No big deal, I like cherries, so I took the one with the Cherry and gave my wife the one without the cherry on top. mine tastes, great, hers. She begins to complain is so very bitter and strong, and she's like "taste this and how strong it is." So, I taste hers and it has a slight bitter bite, and much stronger than mine, so I mix our drinks together to dilute hers and about that time... My wife says to me,"I'm gonna move next to you and get closer..." so, I scooted her chair over next to me, she sits in the chair, we get very close, and as I'm going in for a nice fat tongue kiss, she becomes very pliable in her sitting posture and begins to slide in her chair toward the floor as she was telling me something's not right... long story short she said we both felt the need to exit, so I put her arm around my shoulder and supported the rest of her body with my hips, and began to walk her out of the restaurant... no one would've ever known to the extent she was beginning to become paralyzed as it was all sitting in as we were walking out of the restaurant and headed back across the street to our accommodations. We barely made it to the truck... I was praying she maintained some sort of ability to be able to keep her feet to some degree. And as she began to tell me more her mouth and bottom lip begin to slur her speech, began to become very slurred and by the grace of God, and by the time we got her to our bed in the condo she couldn't move anything on her body except her lips. She was completely paralyzed.. . She was completely incapacitated and all because I drink the drink with the cherry... so I can only guess or surmise that the plan was to incapacitate me so that someone could get their hands on her while I was incapacitated, had I drank the drink that had no cherry on top! What a ride!
