Tried for lunch for first time, will be returning. Place was busy but service kept up with the crowd. My food was good, not great. I changed the cheese on the tuna melt and it was not melted just put on the sandwich, tuna and bread were good. Others in the party particularly enjoyed the French toast and potatoes. I was so impressed with this little place! We are always on the look out for new brunch spots so we visited The Egg and were not disappointed. I opted for the California Skillet which was wonderful! Chicken, avocado, and hashbrowns that meld perfectly on the bottom of the skillet to make it all yummy. Skillets also come with your choice of a side- pancake, french toast, regular toast...tons of food. I had the french toast but only managed a couple bites because the portions are big. Hubs had the Relleno and Eggs and really like his too. Our little had spaghetti and meatballs (I don't know- very strange for a 90 degree day!) and loved them. They have two homemade hot sauces- one red and one green which were both very good. You can also get Cholula or Tabasco if you prefer. Very reasonable prices- especially in this ever-increasing cost environment! We will definitely return to this neighborhood gem. read more

So super! We are in from out of town so we stopped in to grab some breakfast to go. How awesome is this place!? I got time ham and cheese omelette, biscuits and gravy, my wife got a breakfast burrito, my grandson got the pancake sandwich (just with sausage). The potatoes that came with me omelette were so good, holy crap! Shaved potatoes, edges cooked crisp, wonderful! My omelette was really nice. Good size, well cooked. The breakfast burrito was really nice as well as was the pancake sandwich. The biscuits and gravy were the only thing that werent better than heaven. They were alright but I wouldn't get them again. I tried their Western Burrito this time after noticing that it's pretty much a Denver Omelette (My Favorite Go-To) rolled up in a tortilla with their homestyle hash browns, smothered in Green Chile and cheddar cheese. What a DIVINE combination!!! I definitely will give this place 10/10 Highly Recommend and pass the word along as this was a place that was recommended to us. The service was great; Friendly, cheerful and fast! There's always a wait during their Brunch Service so be prepared to wait but do know they are HUSTLING but you're not going to feel rushed, their wait staff is just that on point and their kitchen must be super well organized to crank out that speed of service. This place is lacking an atmosphere but is filled with delicious food and attentive servers. It doesn't have the wall decorations I've seen at other breakfast restaurants that usually include pictures and knick-knacks of eggs and chickens. No, it appears these owners spent all their decorating money on buying fresh ingredients and hiring quality servers. I got the vegetarian omelet that came with hash browns and I got a side of pancakes. I also ordered sausage patties. (They were as big as two hamburger patties.) Normally when I order an omelet I eat the eggs and skip the hash browns, but after tasting them, I had to eat a good portion of those potatoes. The sausage was a great meaty complement to the eggs and the pancakes were the perfect dessert! The Egg is definitely a restaurant I'm going to frequent when I'm looking for quality ingredients, in generous proportions, delivered by friendly servers who remember that I like to keep my coffee cup filled. read more

My husband ordered the chicken fried steak with egg, and I ordered the eggs Benedict. First, the service was fantastic and you can tell that everyone in the kitchen is working very hard. Second, my husband loved his meal. 5 stars from him. He wants to come back. Mine, on the other hand, was a solid 3. Out of two eggs, one was overcooked and the other was perfectly runny. However, I completely understand how hard it is to test a poached egg. The Hollandaise sauce lacked flavor, but had a great texture. The Canadian bacon was simply sliced, and the English muffin had been toasted but was unforgivably soggy. I'm going to lean on a 4-star rating instead of 3-star based on the ambiance, the work they obviously put into it, and my husband's meal. Also, I would love to support this local business. read more

Came here on a weekend mid morning and it was busy. It was cold outside, so everyone waiting was packed into the restaurant. There is very little room for standing, and about 8 of us stood and sat in the back by the restrooms and vacuum cleaners. Waited about 20-25 minutes. We were sat at the table right by the front door. There is a small wall that my back was up against. It was a cute little table, but the people waiting at the door were standing over me, carrying on a conversation all while talking above my head. Definitely will not sit at this table again. Ordered 'The Egg' Skillet. It has steak, onions, peppers and Green Chile. Chose the eggs as over medium and pancakes as the side. We always split our breakfast, and it was nice that they split ours for us, rather than bring out a second plate for us to do the honors. The food was excellent. Green Chile was flavorful, and we were stuffed as we ate every bite. The coffee refills were not that fast. Even though we did ask for a refill once our food arrived, it was not until we were nearly done that someone came around with a pot. The food was definitely worth it all though. Tasty! read more

As a visitor to the area, I'd say this place was incredibly warm with attentive service. There was a 10-15 minute wait for a Sunday morning with a party of 2. The menu is full of classic breakfast diner items along with some fusion twists. We ordered coffee, eggs Benedict and an omelette to share. Everything arrived quickly at our table, the food was hot and fresh, made well and definitely satisfied. The coffee was quite above average also. The environment is a little crowded and noisy, but still friendly for everyone including families with young kids. We definitely plan on visiting again. read more

My family raves about this being their favorite breakfast spot and it did not disappoint! The food here was delicious and very reasonably priced. I got the hash combo, and others at our table got the Cobb salad and another combo. Everything was great and portions were huge! So, I missed my exercise class by like a minute this AM and had not eaten breakfast. So I looked for the closest little Breakfast establishment with a good rating. I have to say. I concur with the 5 stars. I ordered the Sausage Breakfast Combo. I am very pleasantly surprised although, I should probably not be surprised. It did come with five stars already. The food itself comes out on standard Diner plates and looks like a standard American Breakfast, but the hash browns are crisp, the eggs are a perfect over medium and the Sausage is super sagey and not greasy feeling in the mouth. For my side I chose the Biscuit with Gravy. The biscuit is light and fluffy. The gravy is light, milky, and pleasant, although, I would have liked that sagey goodness of the sausage to carry through a little more, but overall a good breakfast experience . The portion sizes here are generous and filling, but you're not going to feel obligated to carry a bunch of leftovers with you. Also, I felt like a curmudgeon when I stepped through the door. There's a peacefulness in here that erradicated that almost instantly. I would definitely stop in here again. The food is good and the service is friendly. Great place for breakfast, brunch or dinner. There menu has a big selection to choose from. We had the country friend chicken and eggs with a side of biscuits and gravy. We also tried the Greek skillet. Very impressive. Plenty of gyros meat. The added olives really added to the flavor. First time having with olives and I wasn't disappointed. We enjoyed our meals outside. The Hostesses were very nice and attentive to our needs and questions. They are limited on outside seating. There is plenty of parking. read more

Disappointed today. Food was good with the exception of dry pork chops. Crazy expensive. Charged $3 each to sub cottage cheese for hash browns (didn't disclose), $2 each to add cheese to eggs on $14 plates at breakfasts. They don't give the discounts advertised any longer, ie: 50% off 1 meal. Instead they give 10% off one meal which equals $ 1.40 vs $ 7. Going to be a very long time before coming back. Snooze and the original pancake house are better value, better food and better service. read more

My husband and I are new to the area and wanted to check out a local spot for brunch. This seemed like a cute, very family-oriented place. It was decently busy, even though we were later than the typical weekend breakfast crowd. I think we got there around 11 a.m. or so. We were greeted right away and told we could sit wherever we would like. Service is quick and attentive, but they're busy so don't expect them to waste time on conversation. My husband got a skillet, and I chose corned beef hash with eggs. I got pancakes for my side. Food was okay. Pancakes were fluffy and good, but the hash was pretty average. Potatoes weren't crispy, and the hash had onions and green peppers in it that were undercooked. The coffee was decent, and my cup was never empty. This Egg hasn't quite hatched yet and should not be open. Just a mess from beginning to end. If you notice a lot of people wrote this place as their first review- suspicious. Friends and family should not mislead the public. Let them decide. I think this used to a sushi place based on the colors and bamboo at the entry. There is nothing on the walls and several lights out. The sign is hard to see from the parking lot but they are next to Enchanted Grounds. The staff is friendly. Food tastes store bought. Avocados were hard and my fruit came out frozen. The waitress said "our fridge freezes everything". No service recovery. Benedict was drowned in a store bought yellow sauce. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner. It reminds of of those shows where they say "fix my restaurant". They just don't know what they want to be yet. I would give it a few months because they are not ready to be open yet. But they might be closed by then. read more

We went again today and I'm updating them to 5 stars! Tim gave us great, attentive service, food came out quickly and was hot and delicious! We ordered steak and denver Omelets and A California Bennie and everything was perfect! Hashbrowns were cooked until both crispy and tender. Pancakes were pretty "okay", same for French toast. Old review: Husband and I came for brunch. He ordered a burger and I ordered a combo. No wait and kindly greeted as we came in so I was very excited about this place! His Egg burger came more well done though he ordered it medium. He opted not to send it back. He said it was good but not great. He said the green chili strip didn't have any real flavor on the burger and he was hoping for more. I kept stealing his fries and they were fresh and crispy. Service was pleasant and polite but spotty. Everyone was very quick to fill coffee but no one asked us how our meal was once it came out. I'd have sent my potatoes back if they had. My breakfast was ok, also not great. I'm a potato fan and the pics of their hashbrowns is what brought me. I ordered mine well done but what I got seemed like totally crunchy home fry scraps. Not even like hashbrowns at all. They were inedible. The eggs were nice and cooked to order. Chicken fried steak tasted kind of generic, but had fair quality meat in it so I had no complaints. They let you choose between biscuits and gravy, pancakes, French toast or regular toast with most of the breakfasts, which I like since I hate plain toast usually. The French toast was good but very mild in flavor. (Note, at first I was confused about how sides worked and thought they forgot to include a side but really it was okay all along!) Long after we were done they checked on us and offered to clear plates. They asked if everything was okay and I said the hashbrowns weren't okay. He was very apologetic and offered to send something home with us to make up for it, which is part of why I felt they should have 3 stars and not fewer.
