This is located on Ala Moana Blvd next to the food trucks. It has great atmosphere and ambience. Because there's alot of other food trucks by it, you can always try other things as well. As for the food, we got the minced chicken, pad see yew and steak and eggs. Everything was delicious! Honestly you can't go wrong with anything in order here. The service is also always on point! Supa friendly!

Takeout lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii... Irene had the brilliant idea to visit the food trucks at the former location of Fisherman's Wharf. It's now called The Street Food Market. Located at the end of Ward Avenue, next to the ocean, along Ala Moana Boulevard, there's a bunch of food trucks. The Elephant Shack is one of them. The Elephant Shack specializes in Thai cuisine. Order and pay on the tablet. Wait at the table with the "pick up here" sign for your meal. It's quite an efficient process! Service was helpful and polite. As I was ordering, I asked the guy at the window about the spice level. He said that "mild" is not spicy. Okay... I will have to trust you... When I picked up my order, the gal was cheerful and attentive! We just grabbed our meals and ate elsewhere, so we parked for free. If you stay and dine there, scan the QR code and pay for parking online. My Pad Kee Mao was delicious! I liked the fresh basil, broccoli, and pieces of long green beans. The tofu was Stir-fried well - almost crispy. The noodles were tasty and chewy! I would return and try more menu items!

One of my go to take out places for fast and good Thai food. I've had the pad Thai, pad see ew, and Penang curry. This last visit we ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Chicken Penang Curry, and Thai Iced tea. Food was great and we had some leftovers. My boyfriend got the medium spice level for the Pad Thai and it was actually pretty spicy. Curry is made with coconut and slightly on the sweeter side but very tasty! Thai iced tea is also made with coconut milk so keep that in mind if you don't like coconut. You order on the tablet in the front and pay through it too. You don't really talk to the workers unless you have any questions they are mostly busy cooking. Once your order if ready someone comes out with it and calls your name. You also grab your own utensils at the front. Lots of seating outside, some with covered umbrellas. Well lit and music on speakers playing. Also lots of parking- free for the first hour or two if supporting the food trucks.

This is a tasty little Thai spot on the harbor. The food trucks here are super cute. Got the Panang curry. The portions were generous. The service was quick and staff were friendly ! They brought the food out quickly. We got the mild it still had quite a bit of kick. The view was so cute ! Loved this spot and would come back for sure ! Great little local food truck !

One of my favorite pad see ew dishes on the island. It can be a bit pricey depending on what you order, but it's pretty worth it for the most part. One small downside is that I wish they offered beef as a protein option for the pad see ew. The ambiance is very casual since it's a food truck with outdoor seating, which is great if you enjoy eating outside. I'd recommend ordering online unless you don't mind waiting a bit during rush hour. There are plenty of seats available, especially since it's located in a lot with other food trucks. If you're in the mood for some great Thai food, I would highly recommend Elephant Shack!

Came to this food truck area on our last night in Oahu and decided to stop by the Elephant Food shack as it appeared to be the only one open at night. Food is cooked fresh which is great but also meant we were waiting a long time for 1 order of Pad See Ew. Sat there for about 40 minutes until our order was next up. Super friendly lady runs the food out to you. Price is a bit much for the portions, the noodles were fantastic but there wasn't much broccoli or chicken in our order. We've ate at the food trucks in Oahu before and they pack the containers for the price you pay. Generally wouldn't come back unless you're really really crazing some pad Thai. The vibe was great though, it was night, quiet and by the water.

Loved their Pad Thai. I chose Mild (rather sweet I thought) with chicken. Chicken were a little bit dry but still we enjoyed them with other ingredients. It is so nice to eat Thai food looking over Kewalo. Thanks for a good lunch!

We happened to drive by on our way to get food and we decided to take a detour here to try something new. Everything on the menu looked amazing and I couldn't decide what to order so I asked the chef. He recommended the Yum Nua so I ordered that. The flavor was amazing! The dish has a little kick to it and the mint gives it a great flavor. I didn't think I would like eating mint but again I was pleasantly surprised with the composition of flavors. Everything tasted amazing. They also have a spacious patio seating area with lights at night. It made a lovely impromptu day night for us even though that wasn't our original plan. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic! Amazing food, great service, and great views. They have a plenty of options for everyone. Pretty much every dish comes with your choice of protein so I had lots of vegetarian options. I got the tofu fried rice and the papaya salad. Both were phenomenal. Great flavor and the spice was just right too. It's right in the harbor on the water so you get water front views for food truck prices. Highly recommend!

After we discovered this night market, the same location as the Saturday morning Farmer's Market, we've come here 3 times. The Kapow Chicken, Thai Iced Tea (made with Coconut Water), and the Pad See Ew (which flat noods) are my favorite. It's piping hot, made to order, with so much wok heat smoking delicious. Per the chef's recommendation, I added an extra fried egg on the kapow and it took it to the next level. Wow! I'll be craving this place! Also, on Friday nights, you can see the fireworks show from Hilton Hawaiian across the Marina.

A night in Kaka'ako is always a fun place to explore, and just be entertained!…read more The Honolulu Night Market at Our Kaka'ako is indeed a fabulous adventure into the biggest street/block party filled to the brim with all things local...food, retail and culture. I've been to so many and each and every one is very unique where you can find either fashion runway stage, live street art, or even a dance night in the barn. I just love the vibe SALT and surrounding Our Kaka'ako brings with the vibrant art we're so blessed to have and this particular night (November 19th) there was actually much more shopping just perfect for the holidays and the party went further down to Ya-ya's. Tonight I was fortunate to have gone after work so I kept it short but found some awesome treats. Some straw toppers to add to my holiday gift giving and some cheesecake cups (OG, Strawberry and Cookie Butter) of course I got one of each to share...ate the Strawberry which of course omg was yummy!! Not too sweet as the Strawberries was just perfect as I tried to get an even scoop of it all in every bite. Walked further down and honestly wasn't in the mood to wait too long for anything found something that would just exactly work for me. Ya-Ya's Chophouse & Seafood and tonight they had two items - Steak Kebabs - Fat Fried Rice with TAB (aka Thick Ass Bacon lol!) I seriously wanted the fried rice but thought that the Steak Kebabs was more sensible for me personally and it came with two kebabs each fully loaded with steak, mushrooms, peppers and onions with a huge scoop of rice! So many options I really was considering including Henna from Henna Happens, Birria Tacos from Dolce Vita, Corn from Corn Onoz Hawaii but though there's always a next time yes!?! I was surprised to see the place pretty empty on a Friday night around 7. I went to the bar to order take out and the guy working was really nice and took my takeout order. I will say it smelled amazing in the restaurant. Food took about 10 mins to come out. The catfish was great, two pretty big pieces very well seasoned. The Mac and Cheese and Yams was also pretty good. I will say the Mac tasted better than it looked and I only say that because at first glance it didn't seem to have much cheese but I was wrong. The corn bread tasted good but was dry. I warmed it and added some butter and that didn't trick. The only thing I personally wasn't a fan of was the greens. They weren't necessarily bad but like Keith Lee says I don't know if I'm their target audience. They tasted a bit sweet and there was something else in the seasoning that I wasn't a huge fan of but couldn't quite put my finger on. I almost forgot the plate came with "yellow seasoned rice" which is under the fish on the Mac side. Honestly it's a free inclusion so not super fair to judge it. Everything in the picture was about $47 bucks. In my opinion that's a bit high and I'm guessing that's because it's in Waikīkī. I definitely plan to go back especially to try the Happy Hour, and I'd like to dine in to see how that goes.
