    Dual themed cake.

I happened upon this business with a quick google search, took a chance and was not disappointed. I'm from the West Coast, so I had to depend on them to design, create and deliver my cake for a dinner party sight unseen. Needless to say, I was a bit nervous. The cake turned out beautifully. I was looking for a dual-themed cake and gave a vague description of what I wanted. There was some hesitation in that I felt if I didn't select top tier pricing, I wasn't sure what I'd get, but I was not disappointed in the final creation. The decorator did a fabulous job with my vision. I highly recommend as my team was very pleased with the cake!

The service and product from The Evercake is amazing. The team was very responsive and had clear communication. The cake was even better than I imagined and more than that, it is one of the best tasting cakes I've ever had. I got the lemon and raspberry flavor. I can not recommending them enough. I will absolutely use them for every cake need.

Evercake saved the day by accommodating my last minute (next day) request! The cake was absolutely gorgeous and was a hit at my party -- everyone loved it. It looks amazing but tastes even better (I got the strawberry shortcake flavor). I could not recommend Evercake more, it was also really seamless to communicate with them via text!

I live in New Orleans and was coming to NYC for a weekend to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. I had a special candle, so I needed to find a special cake. How would I accomplish this mission from so far away? Through much internet searching I came across Evercake on Yelp and it seemed too good to be true. However, it was as good as it appeared!! The service was great - responsive, helpful, and friendly. I requested a cake size that wasn't listed on the website and it was no problem for the Evercake team. The ordering process was simple. I had to do it all out of sight since I was hundreds of miles away, and the cake would be delivered to a restaurant I had never been to. I felt confident that the Evercake team would help me with any issues that came up. They confirmed the delivery the day before and when I got to the restaurant, the cake was there waiting. When the waiter brought it out for the big moment, my parents were shocked and amazed. The cake was beautiful! We had the chocolate cake with chocolate fudge and it was delicious! 10/10 highly recommend Evercake.

    The cake!

Incredible company to work with! They took my lack of design and just a little bit of an idea and created this fantastic, adorable, beautiful cake for our baby shower! Clyde and Alexis were quick, responsive and delivered the cake on time, with no issues! Also and maybe most importantly, the cake was delicious! Everyone at the party commented on how great the cake came out and how delicious it was! Thank you again!

My friend's sister reached out to me at the last minute, 48 hours prior to the baby shower and asked for my help to bring the best possible cake for the event because I'm the best person to ask. I know, the amount of pressure, right? Anyway, not one to back down from a special assignment, I considered my favorite bake shops but was also mentally preparing myself that it might be impossible to order last Thursday and get it delivered by Saturday 2PM. Enter The EverCake. And may I say, ever delicious. And ever reliable. I guess I found a new favorite place for special event cakes! From the moment I started to coordinate with Alexis via emails on Thursday up to the time it was delivered, there was a lot of care and attention to detail. Very much appreciated. I met the delivery guy in front of the entrance of the space in Brooklyn. He was nice and polite and coordinated well with me so gave him additional tip. As for the cake itself, it was so beautiful and even more impressive in person. I got the 10'' Evercake Special in Pink Champagne and chose the Combination Dulce de Leche combination which had layers of chocolate and dulce de leche. Turned out to be the most delicious thing during the party and everyone either complimented, thanked, or ask where I got it from, to which I happily mentioned The Evercake. Consider me your new (free) endorser! The only minimal regret I have is that I wish I was told about the 10% Yelp offer as their cake is definitely not cheap at $125 (but hey you get what you pay for, right?) + it's a baby girl signage at $8.75 + $42 delivery fee to Brooklyn. Apparently the $25 delivery fee mentioned on their site is specific to Manhattan only so hope this helps. Overall, a happy customer. Highly recommended.

There was a bit of a line, but it moved pretty quickly. I am boring, so I just ordered the plain vanilla cupcake, but it was just perfect. It was fresh and the cake itself was wonderful. We had a big party--everyone was happy, but particularly happy with the cookie dough and red velvet. Definitely worth a visit.

So there is a lot to unpack from my visit to SoHo to pick up a cake from my sister. I woke up at…read more5pm and headed straight here from Queens and chose this place over 4 others close by in the area. I hadn't been here in years so when I pulled up I took a step back to take it all in, the cutesy interior which was clean and not too brightly lit. I checked out the cake prices and flavors and when I was sure of what I wanted I stepped up to the counter and began to take pictures bc there were like 4 attendants and I waited for one to engage with me. A young man did he said are you ready to order I said yes and told him I wanted a strawberry shortcake slice $10 and a Brooklyn black out slice (also $10 and the actual reason I came). When he was boxing I took pictures and thought oh maybe I should switch to the hostess slice (out loud). Another attendant said sure, but then the first one pulled up with the boxes and I was like ok I'll just get a cupcake separate. Why I walk back to the cupcakes to choose and the young man starts helping someone new and I look him in the eye he then rushes over but again starts taking another customer. They were 3 customers in the store in total including me so why he didn't want to provide me service I do not know. But it made me so upset I was like wow am I really gonna spend this much money and this guy is being rude. I had to now get in line behind the 2 other patrons that came in after me. The attendant who rung me up tried to empathize and offered me a free $1 candle- it came from a cup of candle in front of the register and when he placed it on top of the box it rolled onto the counter and I said how many ppl touched that?? It's going in a cake someone is going to eat. I declined the candle, paid and probably will never return. Strawberry shortcake slice was a 6/10 tasted old Hostess cupcake 10/10 I inhaled it no crumbs Brooklyn blackout cake 15/10 moist, thick chocolate perfect. Now I'll tell you right now the birthday cake I got my sister was worth the $25 and change I paid for it. She liked it, I liked it, it made her happy- but the service made me frown I really didn't like it. Total rating 3.5

Okay I was cracking up about my experience here because I literally asked the dumbest question to…read morethe guy working but he was so nice and explained the answer to me until I understood! So fun fact they are now advertising Banana Pudding Hot Chocolate and it is NOT actual hot chocolate but banana pudding made to taste like hot chocolate. Why I got so confused? I don't know! Maybe I have been watching too many videos about Tyra Banks Hot Ice Cream. Either way I appreciate the guys patience and kindness when explaining it to me twice especially because I did not end up ordering that at all (though it sounds interesting) but I did get the regular actual hot chocolate and it was amazing! It tasted like melted marshmallows were in it! Perfect for a cold winter day. In addition we got to the humming bird cake, a cupcake, and the regular banana pudding. My husband had never been here before so you know we had to get the banana pudding, it's their claim to fame. And it is decent. Growing up in North Carolina banana pudding is taken very seriously and is literally at every gathering. Would this be a contender for the cookout? Sure! I have no complaints about. The other baked items were delicious as well. The store is cute unfortunately this location has no indoor seating but plenty of outdoor. It was like negative degrees when we went so we definitely did not sit outside. All and all it's a cute bakery/ sweets shop. There are many locations through out the city. I've been to others and it is consistent. It's definitely not a bad dessert spot to try.

Another employee, Kirk--an older gentleman who looked completely out of place--approached and coughed directly over the slice of cake that had just been cut for me. Yes. Over it. At that moment, I honestly wondered if it was intentional. A young woman nearby immediately caught my reaction and went to the back to replace the slice. She handled the situation professionally and deserves recognition. Unfortunately, the chaos continued. Kirk later made me a hot cocoa, and when I went to drink it, it spilled on me because the lid wasn't secured properly. At that point, I stopped believing in coincidences. And the cake? The German chocolate cake was terrible--dry AF and nothing like the Grand Central location. Not even remotely close. Between the coughing, the spill, and the subpar cake, this visit was uncomfortable, messy, and disappointing. Magnolia should seriously reconsider who they put on the floor and retrain accordingly--because this location is not living up to the brand. But honestly, I believe the 2 guys had to be the owners. While the presentation was 10/10 across the board, the flavors ranged from "nostalgic perfection" to "a bit of a letdown." Devil Dog (The Winner): This was by far my favorite. It was a trip down memory lane, perfectly capturing that nostalgic Hostess chocolate cupcake flavor I loved as a kid. Lemon Raspberry Meringue: Coming in a close second, this cupcake was bright, fruity, and incredibly fresh. It felt light and offered a great balance to the richer flavors in the box. Ube: This cupcake was stunning to look at. However, the flavor didn't quite live up to the exotic profile of a purple yam; it tasted like a traditional vanilla cupcake that just happened to be purple. Great for the aesthetic, but standard in taste. Hummingbird: This was the only real disappointment. I was expecting the signature tropical punch of pineapple, but it lacked that acidity. Instead, it felt more like a simple banana nut muffin with icing on top. Final Verdict: Overall, the experience was positive. The shop clearly has a talent for decor and nostalgia. I'd definitely return for the Devil Dog and the Lemon Raspberry, but I might skip the Hummingbird next time. Last Note: The woman working in the bakery was a bit rude and had an attitude and that alone will make me not com back no matter how good the cupcakes are.

While I'm not the biggest cupcake fan, they have a nice selection of cakes, bars, and other things for pretty reasonable prices, especially in Midtown. The staff are also friendly. The most recent time, I got a Ube Buttercake Bar for $4.25, or something very similar. As per the name, it is made with ube, or purple yam, and it has a slight purplish hue. It was just a bit rich, had a soft texture inside, and had a very mild ube flavor with a bit of vanilla. The dessert was decent, but not strong enough of a ube flavor for me to buy it again. Much better was the Brookie I got the first time for $4.50 or so, listed as a blend of their Ooey Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar and Fudge Brownie. I was happy that the chocolate chip part was dark chocolate, and it wasn't overly sweet. Otherwise, it had a nice mix of textures, with some soft and crunchier parts. I liked it a lot more. The prices here are decent enough, and the quality isn't that bad. It's not a place I would go out of my way to go to, but it's nice to be nearby if I want to pick up a snack or something similar. I would probably try a slice of cake, or another bar such as their lemon or dream, next time.
