    Red velvet cake

I recently brought a Father's Day cake from this location. It was a red velvet cake with vanilla icing. It was sooo good. This location gets pretty busy but the staff are quick. Everyone's friendly here. I would return

As I walked in, it was a little cramped instead since there were quite a bit of people but pretty much no seating inside, so I had to eat outside. I got the original banana pudding and it was delicious and creamy, and worth the hype.

Magnolia Bakery has some of the best desserts in town. While visiting New York, I had to stop by the famous bakery known from Sex and the City. Although I didn't try their well-known banana pudding this time (I've heard it's phenomenal!), I sampled a few other treats instead. I had the brownie and a blueberry dessert with a pecan cookie crust, which was absolutely amazing. Everything I tried was rich, fresh, and full of flavor. I also grabbed a blueberry crumble and a chocolate vanilla cupcake to take home. The bakery itself is cute and on the smaller side, but you can tell many of their desserts are incredibly popular. Despite the crowd, everything I tried tasted delicious, and it definitely lived up to the hype.

Lemon icebox bar & chocolate caramel cupcake

My sister had great things to say about this bakery. I tried the lemon icebox tart and the some sort of chocolate caramel cupcake. To be honest, the cupcake wasn't memorable for me. What really hit was the icebox tart. I'm a huge lemon lover and whatever they did to this sucker, they rocked it. Light and not overpowering - although this lemon lover doesn't mind tart. It was refreshing on a hot day walking around the city. I'll be thinking of this for a while. I bought their book and want to attempt to make it. Wish me luck!

I stopped by twice to try their banana pudding. There was never a long line and the staff were friendly. The pudding was excellent - it had a nice texture, didn't feel heavy, and had the right amount of sweetness. There is no seating area, so you will have to get it to-go.

Magnolia Bakery on Bleecker Street in New York City is always a must-stop for me. I had the banana pudding, and it was everything I love about it--light, airy, and not overly sweet. The texture was perfect, and the consistency was just right, making every bite incredibly satisfying. This dessert is my go-to every timeI visit Magnolia Bakery. One of the best parts is how convenient it is--they keep the banana pudding ready in the refrigerator, so you can grab it without having to wait in a long line. The ambience was a typical bakery. We took our desserts to go. Consistently delicious and absolutely worth it every time.

I've always wanted to try Magnolia Bakery ever since the mid-2000s when their iconic cupcakes and banana pudding were all the rave. So when I finally made my first trip to NYC, it was at the top of my list. I ordered the famous banana pudding, which had good flavor and plenty of banana slices, but it was a bit too sweet for my liking the cake portion leaned on the sugary side. The red velvet with whipped buttercream was decent, though I found the cake to be a little drier than I'd hoped. Unfortunately, the vanilla cupcake was the biggest letdown. It was noticeably dry, almost like bread, and the frosting had hardened and it really shouldn't have been sold in that condition. Overall, I'm glad I finally got to try Magnolia after hearing about it for so many years, but I probably wouldn't go back. I understand it might've just been an off batch, but for such a well-known bakery that attracts visitors from all over, I expected more consistency and quality.

So I have mixed feelings about Magnolia. When it comes to the banana pudding, I find it absolutely amazing! It's definitely iconic for a reason! However, I also had their vanilla cake with chocolate cream. I found the chocolate frosting to be too sweet and I found the cake to be dry as well.

Visited while on a trip with my bestie visiting his sister, who loves their banana pudding. Personally, I'm not big on banana flavored desserts (it just remains solo for me, not mixed in desserts), so I skipped it. With the many opinions to pick from I went for the coconut caramel cupcake (weekly special) and a sea salt caramel cookie. So many tempting options here.... Consider yourself warned! The staff grabbing my dessert picks didn't say much, but the lady at checkout was nice and friendly. Bakery was pretty steady for a late afternoon/early evening, so I'd say it's definitely a popular spot. It's your typical bakery, lots to see, but not a huge amount of space (just the right amount). Took both of my goodies to go-- I thought the cookie was good, but the cupcake was dry and lacked flavor. I ended up tossing the cupcake out. If and when I come back to New York, I'd still visit again and just try something different. I'm looking forward to making some recipes from the cookbooks.

Went to check out the hype on the banana pudding : ) Shop was pretty packed and their pudding was displayed throughout the shop, but noticed they had some beautiful looking cakes too. Ordered the banana pudding to go and stroll NYC. Pudding was ok, could have used some more banana pieces and nilla wafers. I like texture, and there was just a tease of banana and cookie. Good to experience and try, not sure I would out of my way to retry.

I came here with some friends to have some lunch and we were so happy we did! I really liked how the store was decorated in a contemporary and sleek way. I also really appreciated their air conditioning in the heat! All of the staff were nice and had here at service! There was a huge selection of desserts and food to pick from as well as , gelato! Everything looked so yummy and it was hard to choose! I ordered a Caprese Panino and it was so good! The bread was crunch and the cheese was melted perfectly. Overall a great experience and I can't wait to come back!

This must be what heaven tastes like if it were made from cheesecake. To be honest, as a non-new Yorker, that was the best cheesecake I've ever had. Idk if it is the best in all of NY but it's famous for a reason, totally lives up to the hype. People working there were nice and had free lemon bar samples. Small little shop, we happily ate our cheesecake outside.

Went to try their March special, the matcha banana pudding and felt ripped off. It was the regular pudding with a tiny bit of matcha sprinkled throughout. Of course it was still good. The apple crisp is always my go to and it still heats up beautifully in the oven when I remember I have it late at night lol Service at this location is always quick and friendly. Sometimes there's a long line but not this time!

I enjoyed the banana pudding very much, not too sweet. It's a grab and go item from the refrigerator and check out was really fast.

Today I decided to make a special trip to go here to grab a few goodies. I forgot how small the place was and how low the ceilings were. That wasn't an issue though. The place was nice and cakes were stacked neatly. What was surprising to me is that they don't have any cookies laid in the front display. It's all placed in the back almost hidden. I was deeply disappointed with their cookie selection. It was deeply surprising that they don't sell the butter cookies that had jam in the middle and dipped with chocolate on one side with sprinkles. I did ask the clerk and even showed him a pic of what I was looking for and he said they never sold them. They only had the linzer cookies and they didn't look so good. They also did not have the lobster tail. They did have the sfogliatelle which they also called a lobster tail. I thought they were not the same? Some bakeries sell both and they are definitely not the same. I did end up buying one of their sfogliatelle with cream and some rugelachs. The sfogliatelle was good but the rugelachs tasted slightly underbaked. It did taste fresh though unlike many I've had in other bakeries. However, for $28 per pound, I wouldn't get it again. For those not having lobster tail and not having the Italian cookies, I will have to give Veniero's a low rating. I never thought an Italian bakery would not carry staples. Very disappointed. I need to find another Italian bakery now.

I had to run to work after an appointment so I ordered for takeout. The person taking my order was friendly. I opted for the Lumberjack and a black cold brew. I received the drink very quickly, with a short wait for the sandwich. While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped. I sipped the cold brew in between bites to cut the richness. It was a very satisfying meal. The Lumberjack is not something I would recommend you eat every day, but it's good as an occasional treat. In the past I've ordered lunch from Daily Provisions via delivery (the "Chefy" salad and the chicken milanese with arugula salad are my favorites), but I might start adding other breakfast sandwiches to the mix.

I had never heard of the place before, but I was happy to give it a try -- and I'm so glad I did. From the moment you walk in, the experience feels special. The store has two beautiful double doors that create such a grand entrance, and once inside, you immediately feel the energy. The place was bustling with people, and everyone seemed happy and excited -- from the customers to the team behind the counter and the baristas. The cookie case was overflowing with so many amazing choices that it was hard to decide! I ended up getting the Rocky Road cookie, a Double Chocolate Chip cookie, a Two Chip Chocolate Chip cookie, and a blueberry muffin to enjoy for breakfast the next morning. The service was absolutely impeccable, and everyone I interacted with was warm, friendly, and delightful. When I got home, I had half of the Rocky Road cookie with a cup of tea, and it was incredible. The cookie was large and chunky but still perfectly enjoyable -- not heavy or overwhelming. It literally melted in my mouth. The chocolate was rich and smooth, and every bite was just delicious. The next morning, I tried the blueberry muffin, and it was just as impressive. It was light and airy, not overly sweet like many blueberry muffins can be. It truly felt like a breakfast pastry. The blueberries tasted fresh and burst with flavor in every bite.
