It was swampy and hot inside the day I dined here and it made me feel sorry for the staff, but if they were miserable you'd never know it-- it didn't interfere with the service at all. We had a great time at this restaurant! The food was amazing! Portions were large. My teenage kids each ordered a 14 in. pizza and they definitely could have shared one. I ordered the crab stuffed shrimp and I really didn't like it. The shrimp was over cooked. But the reason I wasn't upset or disappointed was because my husband ordered the shrimp and lobster Lafayette!!! Yum yum yumm!!! It was so flavorful and the portion was enough that we both shared it! Restaurant is in an older building but it was clean. The furniture and decor were nice. Staff was courteous and the food was delicious.

I really wish I could give this place a great review, because the food that I ordered was incredible. I had the mahi mahi sandwich with fries and cole slaw. The mahi mahi was SUPER fresh and the fries were crisp to perfection. The cole slaw was also delicious considering it barely had any mayo in it. My issue with this place was the friend that I went with ordered the parrot fish sandwich and a few hours later was violently sick from food poisoning. I'm sure it doesn't happen often considering the great reviews, but after that experience I don't think I'll attend again. read more

Went to The Feast for dinner. Arrived around 6pm was greeted promptly and seated. Server was Cathy who not only took our drink order but was very friendly and helpful in helping us with information about Holmes Beach. We ordered salads Greek and house and both were delivered promptly. For our main entree we ordered the snapper and hogfish captiva. Entrees were very tasty and an ample amount. Really enjoyed our visit and if we come back to AMI again we definitely will return to The Feast and ask for Cathy as our server. read more

Let me preface this by saying that I could have very easily left a bad review. There was a point where I was in the "gray area" and I thought to myself "I'll never come here again." Allow me to elaborate somewhat. I had an issue with the dish I ordered. (This is the gray area I'm talking about) the way the issue was handled is only 1 of the reasons that I'm giving this such a positive review. It was fixed quickly and without incident and the waitress could not have been more helpful and efficient not only through that but throughout the entire meal. Not only that but the owner was very friendly and attentive to us as well. And the food was FANTASTIC (the grouper cheeks were so good. Even my mom that doesn't like fish thought they were great.) I have been to the Feast in past and always had a good meal. But Friday May 17 was not one of them. 8 of us anticipated a wonderful dinner but were very disappointed. Three had crab cakes that had mostly filler. Almost inedible. The green rice was tasteless. Stuffed shrimp were over cooked and with the same filler. Green beans were very Good. Mashed potatoes, eh. Steaks were cooked nicely. But crab on top of one steak was very fishy tasting, not fresh. Server was new and needed a bit more training or experience. Whether you want the freshest fish, most delicious conch fritters or marvelous pizza, this is the place to eat. We were able to get reservations and were seated with no wait. Service was wonderful. Our drinks never came close to being empty. Our party of 3 shared a large pizza, conch fritters and escargot and we took home tons of leftovers, which we enjoyed the next day. Came here for a special occasion, wasn't terribly excited about our table near the "to go" counter up front. However the food and our server Jillian made up for it. Jillian was, funny, personable and attentive. Food was was solid. Fulfilling and enjoyable! I had the the Hogfish with shrimp and my partner had Chicken Carbonara. Both were generous, delicious and piping hot! Love hot food. Some may think 5 stars is overly generous but based on the service and food quality I've forgiven the poor seating. read more

We were on a mission to try as many as new to us restaurants on the Island as we can during our stay here. This was our first visit to this establishment and it was pretty good. We started off with the fried green tomatoes and a creole dipping sauce. They were sliced nicely with a light batter and done to perfection. My husband ordered the Bouillabaisse with garlic toast. Mom got the NY strip with fried shrimp and French fries. I got an appetizer that had conch fritters fried shrimp and a shrimp rolls. My Moms steak was cooked to a medium perfection and was so juicy and tasty. Her shrimp were done expertly as was mine. The snow peas were on point. My conch fritters were tasty but the shrimp rolls were my favorite thing on my plate. The Bouillabaisse was made in the traditional way and my hubby said the seafood was cooked very well. He also enjoyed the toast that came with it. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was a great help when we asked her questions. It was a bit darker as far as lighting and decor but I'd recommend this place and I'd return again. read more

We have lived off and on in AMI for 8 years and the Feast has always been one of our favorites. The last two times, however, the food has been subpar. I almost feel as if there are new cooks or management. Tonight we ordered pizza online and went to pick it up. We ordered thin and extra crispy AND put note in the online order note that we'd like the crust super well done. Also ordered a key lime pie (always thought theirs was the best on the island). Well, the pizza was not only not well done, it was doughy and chewy. Ended up putting it in our air fryer--it crisped up a little, but threw most of it away. That's OK, I had my Key Lime Pie......It was really heavy and VERY gelatinous and had absolutely NO taste. Gosh, I thought, did I get Covid between the pizza and the Key Lime pie. Nope, no one else could taste anything either. Very disappointing--there are just too many great places on the island to eat. It will be awhile before we chance this again. read more

Horrible staff and management. Rude and miserable waitress. We arrived at 6pm on a Sunday night. There were patrons at 3 other tables and the place was basically dead. From the minute we walked in the staff was irritated that we were there and very obvious they didn't want us there. We were a party of 10 prepared to spend $20+ per person and the staff came to us (after we were seated and ordered drinks) to tell us that the credit card/debit machine was down and they could only take cash. Now we all could have paid cash for our meal but we weren't about to do it here. We got up and went somewhere else. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else on the island that wants you there. read more

Best pizza on Anna Maria Island, hands down! My husband and I chose to offer a pizza buffet for our wedding, as well as brownie sundaes instead of cake, and The Feast was more than happy to cater both. The manager, Chris, was incredibly friendly and accommodating down to the smallest of details, even going so far as to bring one personal gluten-free pizza for a guest who was allergic. Our guests raved about everything that they provided and we've been back to take visitors twice since! I recommend that everyone who visits the island gives this place a try at least once - You won't be disappointed! read more

Just came back........ had to give a review..... had the conch fritters---loaded with conch..... browned crispy outer.....had the shrimp and corn chowder (have had the Clam on other occasions---VERY GOOD)... wanted to try something different.... very good taste... and flavor.... had the Veal Parm.... WOW.... it was real veal.... 2 extra large pieces... I mean extra large... (could not finish one of the pieces).... marinara sauce was excellent.... we have frequent this place about 4 times during our visit..... you got to get the lunch special... All the shrimp.... you can eat.... Wow.... those are the best..... priced right .. enormous portions.... had to take piece of veal home.... will have it watching Price is Right.. Well we finally gave The Feast a try. We've been coming to Anna Maria for a few years and several people have recommended that we give it a try, so tonight was it. First mistake, and it was 100% our mistake, was getting a table "outside." The Feast is in a strip mall between a local bar and an ice cream shop. They have tried to create some ambiance with faux Ivy planter boxes, but it's not quite working. As the sun set, obnoxious fluorescent lights illuminated our picnic table. And with the lights came the bugs. Lots of moths. It is Florida, yes we should have known better, but word to the wise...DO NOT opt for the "outdoor" dining. Between the lights, the moths, the bar trivia, and the bar patrons coming outside to smoke, just not a great atmosphere. We started with calamari, which was very tasty. The aioli was delicious. There were 3 in our party, so we each got something different. I had the Sea Bass, shrimp and gnocchi in a Cajun cream sauce. Mine was good and seemed to be the winner on the evening. My wife got the Hogfish Sanibel with shrimp, a scallop and a "delicate lobster cream sauce." The sauce is not delicate. Much more like a heavy cream sauce. Nothing delicate about it. The Hogfish was good. Our daughter got the Jumbo Diver Scallops. Nothing to remember or reorder. Just ehh. Overall service was very slow. It took a very long time to get the calamari and our entrees. Needless to say, this was just OK. Big part was my fault in choosing outdoor dining. I'll admit that. Unfortunately there is very little attempt to make that an enjoyable experience, despite being on our way out of the pandemic. We might give it another try indoors, but sadly it will slip down our list of "what do you want to get for dinner" next time we're in Anna Maria. read more

We were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. Seated promptly, waters and drink order after a few minutes. Menu and specials selections are great. Appetizers were excellent, try the grouper cheeks and firecracker shrimp. Lobster bisque is also very good. For entrees, we had 2 lobster tail dinners, one coconut shrimp and one special which was a snapper dish with a lobster garlic sauce. Everyone loved what they ordered. The prices here are very good for the quality of food and the size of the portions. Our waiter James was excellent, attentive but not hovering. I have had the Anna Maria salad with salmon a couple of Tim mes now and it does not disappoint. The salmon is cooked perfectly and the salad is very fresh. The food is amazing and the staff is wonderful. I had a server named Alex who was super personable and is very knowledgeable about the menu! She convinced us to buy the shrimp and lobster Alfredo special and it was everything that she said it would be! I included my friend's dish which was the yellowtail snapped which was well prepared with a nice garlic sauce and FRESH veggies! I am going giving this restaurant 4 stars because it was very hot (it's the middle of the summer and very hot outside) in there and I overheard someone saying the air conditioning wasn't working. read more

Unfortunately this wasn't a good visit for us. Our server was kind of rude and messed up my appetizer right from the start. Ordered the grouper cheeks and got the grouper bites. My entree was pretty good, Hogfish Sanibel, but the rice was very dry and the sweet potatoes were way too runny. For the price they charge there you would expect a much better quality of food and a staff that actually cared about there customers. Won't be returning to the Feast. Absolutely fabulous! The food, the service, and the portion sizes! After a bad dining experience the night prior, we were skeptical of reading any reviews as the prior establishment was highly rated. The Feast surpassed all of our expectations! My youngest ordered pizza, which was to die for! My oldest son and my boyfriend both ordered the grilled chicken, which they said was wonderful. I ordered the grouper nuggets that were absolutely wonderful...they literally melted in my mouth they were so tender. Every dish we had was full of flavor, and their signature cole slaw was a delightful change to an old favorite. We all came home with leftovers!
