The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. This is one of two places I know where I can buy my Rabbit Pellets. I like it here because I don't have to special order them. My bunnies have always eaten Lab Diet High Fiber Rabbit Pellets. Recently the place where we used to buy our pellets from closed their business. Our bunnies refuse to eat other pellets and will pick out these pellets in the bowl if we mix them with other brands. I've called all around nearby pet stores/suppliers and no one else stocks these pellets regularly. read more

I am extremely pleased with the Feed Barn's prices, customer service, and selection. I needed supplies to bring home baby chicks (heat lamp, feeder tray, pine shavings, starter feed, etc.), and they had it all, including the brand of organic feed I wanted (Scratch and Peck). Extremely helpful and kind staff. They have a pretty wide selection for being in Newport Beach. I get all my chicken feed and treats here. They offer organic layer feed which I prefer for my hens. 5 Plus Stars for the Feed Barn! I have 2 pet bunnies and they are my beloved babies... they eat better than me most of the time! : ). I have tried many feed stores but The Feed Barn offers the best fresh hay for my buns in many different varieties so they don't get bored. They offer grocery bags full of Timothy, Alfalfa, Oat and Grass for unbeatable prices ($2.99 to $4.99). My bunnies also love the Gourmet Bunny Food pellets of Timothy and Calf Manna which is wonderful for keeping the weight on one of my disabled bunnies... they both pick it out of the mix like it is Bunny crack! The willow balls and grass toys I have gotten here are at least $1 cheaper than other places. The service in this feed store is also outstanding... the owner is there every time and she has given me wonderful advice as she is a Bunny owner also. I love the Feed Barn. I grew up right around the corner from it. It's nice to be able to go in grab the basics. My daughter is a dancers and found one of the best things to tape her feet with was Vet Wrap. The stuff they sell in the stores is horrible so we would go to the Feed Barn, pay less and get better stuff. The staff remembered me every time I came in. read more

What a pleasant experience after having had a sour one at Dogma in Newport Coast. The sales person was very helpful. When I showed her the list of things I wanted, she proceeded to go around the store to take everything out for me. I had several coupons for free or buy one get 2nd free coupons and she happily got all of those too. I had purchased over 75 lbs of dog food among other things and by the time I was finished paying for them, the helper at the store had already lugged all the heavy items to my car and was waiting for me to open the trunk to load them. Not the most elegant store, but they have an excellent selection and variety - all premium dog foods and the sales clerk seemed very knowledgeable and was very pleasant. read more

The woman who runs this store is incredibly nice and knowledgeable about their products, and has given me better advice than veterinarians and the owners of boutique pet shops. She really knows her stuff! The prices are fair and the stock is high quality, and the hay and grass is sold in eco-friendly giant paper bags instead of plastic wrap, which I appreciate. This place is great to get dog treats, as well as any other treat for a variety of pets. I came here to get some hay for my girlfriends new rabbit, and they helped me choose a new hutch, and they had a variety of different hays and grasses here for so cheap compared to pet store products. had a great first impression, but had to edit this review a few times since. i came here mainly for rabbit feed. they have a variety of hay in brown paper bags ($4.99 for roughly 3.5 pounds). bought a bag of orchard grass which appeared to be full of long, evenly green strands. after 1/3 of the way through, the rest of the bag was all broken pieces. what's worse is that there were strands of shredded plastic and sharp thistle, and a huge moth flew out of it and freaked me out. i mentioned this to one of the ladies at the store, and she explained that since they get the hay straight from the field and some guy manually sorts it out, you will expect to get whatever is in the fields mixed in with the hay. they will go through it and throw out whatever dead mice and large items that they find, but smaller things they will miss. i appreciated the honesty, but i stopped buying hay there. they carry Star Milling's rabbit pellets, which is a basic alfalfa pellet and costs $3.25 for a 5lb bag, and they sell Oxbow brand pellets for $2 per pound. i've had no problems with the pellets, so occasionally i still go back for those. overall, this is a place i was excited about at first b/c of good reviews, but slowly lost interest in as i found better sources for rabbit feed. read more
