I visited this place for the first time with my boyfriend on a Thursday night. I will admit, I grew up in the 'burbs where big box stores and restaurants pop up in abundance along with acres of parking spaces, so I'm not used to street parking and tiny remote lots a block or two away from where you actually want to be. Luckily, however, we snagged a parking space on 15th street. The good thing is there are about 3 or 4 lots (possibly more) nearby that you can park at and just walk from to get to the Fillmore. We got there around 7:30ish. it wasn't packed, but it was hopping. We sat at a table near the front windows so we could people watch. The service was great. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful and made great recommendations on the menu. We started out with the pomme frittes that came with 3 dipping sauces, which were tasty. I think my fave was the spicy mayo, the boyfriend loved the baked potato dip). And the curry ketchup? Meh. I had the Guinness burger with a cup of leek soup (both were YUM). He originally wanted the Guinness burger, but because I ordered it first, he said the cream cheese burger he ordered turned out to be an awesome second choice. I'm no beer connoisseur, but I liked their beer selection (but I tend to like most places that have Stella on tap). We enjoyed ourselves and decided to come back another time. The second time I visited was with my book club. We sat at the large center table that had a center column and little purse and coat hooks underneath (and oh yes, we loved that). There were about 6 of us and the waitress (different from my last visit) was also very helpful with the menu. We were bummed their supplier ran out of Stella, but she recommended the Harp and let us each try a bit before ordering (turned out to be a good substitute). Discussion was difficult (it's a bar and we knew better), but we still had a great time nonetheless. Oh and I ordered the fish and chips which came with a tasty tarter sauce. The fish was just a bit too greasy for me, but was still delicious. Both trips proved to me that I should come back again. Great neighborhood pub with good selection of Beer on tap. Perfect for a weekday or a weekend get together with friends, family, love or just by yourself. The bartenders are great taking care of you and so are the waitresses. I'm not a pub person, so for a pub to impress me, it has to be really good. We went before the crowds were heavy during Dickens in Downtown. The pub was crowded, and a lot of the patrons appeared to be regulars. Although it was packed, the noise level wasn't bad. The dimly lit, crowded pub made for a cozy place to have a meal. Happy hour provides discounts on beers but not mixed drinks or wine, but their drinks are reasonably priced even at the regular price. I got a Manhattan, and it was very good. My husband ordered the burger and substituted a side salad for fries, and loved it. I got the healthy tuna dish, and it was delicious. I'm a fan of Fillmore Pub because the crowd is varied and laid-back. It's a very mellow atmosphere, perfect for hanging with friends or just grabbing a bite and a drink when I don't feel like cooking. One oddity: The owner is anti-honey mustard. Otherwise, I've never had any bad food there. Salads are good, sandwiches are good, I'm not much of a meat eater, but my friends swear by the burgers. Fillmore is unpretentious with a colorful staff. The hubs and I have been here a number times - with kids, sans kids...at a table and up at the bar - and have always had a really great experience. The staff is super cool and know their beers. If you have an idea of what you have a hankering for, they will get you the perfect beer within 2 samples. We have had a variety of apps, burgers, brunch items, daily specials, and sandwiches and have never been disappointed. The portions are right priced and I just love the vintage pub feel with all of the dark wood and high ceilings. I personally would not bring my kids in too late but during the day and early evening is fine (hey, grow ups need their time too). Recommended. read more

Great atmosphere, no attitude and a great pour. They have a great selection and the food is pretty good but go for the beer and you won't be disappointed. Parking is fairly easy but take the DART if you can. I wish they were open during the weekdays. read more

My favorite thing about this bar is that it FEELS like it is IN dallas. Suburb bars can be sooooo lame, especially in DFW....but Fillmore feels like it could be on Greenville, Knox, etc. Love the staff and the food is shockingly good. This is a great place in downtown Plano to grab a drink. The drinks are great and the service was pretty fast. It is more laid back and the crowd is generally older. The inside of the place is very homey and the staff is friendly. I don't remember the food being that great, but at the same time it wasn't bad! I am a huge fan of the Fillmore. Great beer on tap, including perfect Guinness, very good and reasonably priced food, and a comfortable, relaxing pub atmosphere. You can come at lunch when the place is quiet, and bring your laptop to get in a couple hours of work. There's plenty of room to spread out and plenty of plugs around the outer walls (not by the booths, sadly) and at the bar. The place really fills up on weekdays by around 6pm, and they crank up the music so it can get pretty noisy. It seems to be mostly 30-40-somethings that frequent the place, who come after work. We love the Fillmore. It's a perfect neighborhood bar. read more

I agree with other posters, a nice Irish Pub without the Irish. I also appreciated that the music was not uber-loud. Pretty good beer list there! And the food was good. My buddy liked the fish and chips, I had the salad wrap thinger, also good. The number of TVs and sports was not obnoxious. And there was decent parking available. read more

0 Stars! It's okay to be disrespected here and it's manager approved! Never had a I ever had a waitress speak to me with such rudeness and disrespect. I went to advise the "manager" of the rude and disrespectful waitress. His response was, "yeah, it's the wine walk and it's kinda hectic" I told him I get it but that's no reason to be disrespectful. It's not what you say, it's how you say it" he then give a dry apology as if it is what it is. He did not care about my concerns or feelings. Being that I'm an office manger I know first hand what's acceptable and unacceptable. I understand being under pressure. But disrespect is not allowed and this is a ZERO tolerance policy. This was my 1st time at Fillmore Pub and was excited about ordering a signature cocktail, but this never happened due to feeling like I wasn't welcome. At the point of seeing the manager approved this, I politely left and knew I would probably never return. read more

3 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Nobody else on the patio. We have two small dogs with us. Every other patio in the state of Texas invites customers with their little dogs. I waited outside while my wife went in to order some beverages for us. Here is the deal, we were told that they didn't have a "Permit" for dogs on their patio. Really. There is such a thing? Why don't you just say we don't like your kind. PS: There is no such thing as a "Permit to allow pets on the patio". Maybe you don't like small pets either. Had the sliced tenderloin sandwich and it was awesome! Steak was perfectly cooked, juicy and very tender. Only negative was that the portion was a bit small. Substituted a side salad for a small up charge. Atmosphere was great and happy hour prices were good. Beer was cold and the foam clinged/lacing the glass indicating very clean glass. I'll give them a one star for having their doors open but I'm not sure how they stay in business. The last time i was there i had the "fish and chips" but not sure you can call it that. I threw up within minutes after leaving and ended up going to the hospital due to severe stomach pain. Hubby and I give 5 stars for the food. He had the club and I did the pepper jack chicken minus the bun and small salad. Both entrees were delicious and perfect portions for the price. This is the first place that I've been to where I could choose a salad as a side at no extra charge and it was a good size salad. The salad and veggies were fresh and crisp. Place was a little dark and only 3 TVs. My only complaint is $5 minimum for a pint and $9 for a house chard, REALLY! read more

I don't know how to rate this place. Used to love this place, great food. Last time we ate here for lunch the server had a terrible attitude. We tried lunch again today, sat at a table for 5 minutes before deciding that no one was coming to help us and walked out. Really wish I could have eaten here but I didn't have time to wait for a server or other staff member to decide they were going to serve us. The food is great but the service sucks. Came here before a concert in Plano on the outside stage. Both of the bartenders were extremely helpful. I ordered an old fashioned and both asked me which Bourbon/Whiskey I preferred. Have stopped in for lunch a few times recently, great genuine pub feel and atmosphere, love the interior. Fish n Chips is excellent, very large portions, it is a challenge to finish it all. Service is great, quite friendly, and prices are very reasonable for what you get. One star deduction for parking, not really the pub's fault but for overall experience parking is a little tight in this area. What a great establishment, especially if you enjoy watching "The walking dead" on an HD projector with surround sound. They have awesome drink specials everyday. I've been coming here for three years, and The Filmore Pub is a consistently great experience. Love the low-key, comfortable atmosphere. Great beer and spirits selection, awesome, chill service and food that is well above standard pub fare. It's my go-to place before or after events (usually hitch a ride on the DART rail stop that's just a few steps away), catching up with friends, or a restorative beverage after a hard-ish day. Did drinks here for the first time with a buddy that was in town and let's say he has a more "global flair" for nice places. It was raining that night, and good London Pub sounded about right so long as the drinks were legit. And, they were legit. We each started with an old fashioned, and I had a black velvet. I went here with a couple friends (3 women in their 40's) last night, looking for a nice relaxing place to have a couple drinks and catch up. There were maybe 10 other people there on a Thursday night, so we sat at the bar. Our drinks were not cheap ($8 to $15 each) so between three of us we had about $100 bar tab with tip. At the end of the night, the bartender said it was last call and one girl in the group ordered a $15 scotch. About 30 seconds later, the guy in the attached picture tells her to hand over the drink because they are closed, and we need to "get the fuck out". She says wait a minute, I just ordered it, give me a minute at least to drink it, it was $15! He says NO, and continues cussing us out and telling us to leave. I asked him if that was really necessary to cuss us out after the amount of money we had just spent, and he said "yeah, I don't give a fuck what you spent, GET the fuck OUT!" So we left, and needless to say will never go back. For a place that definitely needed the business, maybe they should work on their customer service skills. If I was the owner of the bar and saw that, he would be gone. I will be telling everyone I know about the experience. read more

This is as good as the Old Monk, and a nice oasis in Plano which I would assume is very short on non-chanin watering holes.
