    Atlantic Beach Seafood Salad
    Michelle G.

The food especially fish or oysters is always great and fresh! Dependable service and dishes, we never hesitate to decide to go here during the week or weekend. They have a rewards program too. The Fish Company's Atlantic Beach Seafood Salad is a must try it's that fabulous. Great cocktails and something for everyone. Great bar and bartenders too.

We stopped here for an early dinner on a whim last Sunday after losing track of time due to the changing of the clocks. My husband chose the gumbo, a generous portion of shrimp and andouille sausage over rice with a mini baguette on the side. I tried the crabcake platter. Lightly breaded, mostly crab and very flavorful. It came with crinkly cut fries, cole slaw and two crispy hush puppies. Glad we finally tried this long time neighborhoods favorite after completely forgetting about it for years.

Clam Chowder- creamy and great flavor

Haven't been here in a while and my husband wanted their shrimp and grits. Casual coastal vibe, one smaller fish tank. Sat as a part of 5 on a Saturday around 6 with no wait. Server was great, even brought carafes of soda for the kids. Started with a special fall drink, cranberry rye old fashioned (very good) and husband had a blue moon. We also enjoyed some fried calamari, a bit salty but otherwise good. Served like small sticks instead of rings. Daughter and I shared some New England Clam Chowder which had great flavor and was decadent and creamy. Main meals: Shrimp and grits- heavy but good flavor with sausage and shrimp, a spicy oil (not really spicy) and mushrooms. Fish and grits- not the lunch recipe, but mimicked the above sub fried cod. Also very good and a lot of fish but the cod on top became soggy quickly- probably better in the side. Appetizer crab cakes and a side of fries. Fried, my son liked. Shrimp Alfredo, good flavor, basic but good alfredo sauce. For me, scallop appetizer on green beans with a ginger sauce. Good, scallops were more room temp. On side, a spinach cake- also good but maybe a little salty. Will be back.

We love oysters and I used to be a regular when I lived at the beaches. Back when they were $3.5 a dozen lol Cool family friendly date night spot!

They always have the specials on the chalk board when you walk in!

We always enjoy TFC no matter for just drinks, oysters and appetizers or a full dinner. The extensive menu has something for everyone and the seafood is always fresh and well prepared. Can't beat $10/dozen oysters on a Tuesday for sure! If you crave Mayport shrimp, this is your local beaches spot!

    Flounder, baked potato, green beans
    Lynnsie S.

The flounder was very good n flavorful and the green beans had a great flavor. The gumbo was very good but it needed a little bit more rice. The server did a great job she was very attentive and didn't miss anything. The decor was great. We enjoyed the patio.

Our go to place for seafood, mainly for oysters on half shell. $17 a dozen everyday, all day, can't beat it. All dishes we have had here are outstanding. Full bar, oyster bar, outside seating and plenty of parking. Seafood is fresh and cooked to perfection. Fried chicken is amazing. Service is always excellent. .

    Special valentines menu

Friends invited us out to try this restaurant on Valentine's Day which normally I wouldn't recommend cause they would be crazy busy, but we got a late night reservation and came in. Our server was excellent! Really welcoming and sweet, which I loved. Now to the food, it was delicious! Everything we tried I liked! I ended up doing their valentines special which was an app, entree and dessert for $40. Loved the crab stuffed shrimp, loved the chicken dish, chicken cooked perfectly! Not dry at all! Dessert was good. Would definitely come back to try more!

Fish Co is the go to for fresh seafare from local catch, oysters, scallops, crab and when in season best place in Jax to get Stone Crabs!! The sides all can hold their own from the Spinach w/miso dressing, cheese grits, slaw, Caesar salad, & hush-puppies will hush your puppy lol. The pasta dishes are divine with your choice of seafood added too. Beverages are excellent and a nice pour-check out the happy hour menu too. Service at the tables or bar tops are always friendly and full of knowledge and a fantastic representation of what the owners envisioned. The Key Lime ‍ pie is hands down the Best in Jax ... you'd have to travel to So Fla or the Keys to find anything comparable ... it's a must get even if you just take it home after filling up on the lunch or dinner. In fact I wonder if they sell whole pies at holiday time? I may have to inquire. The atmosphere is casually elevated and when the weather allows outside areas are fun as well. Kudos to this great Beach venue!! Always a "Go-to"!!

One of my favorite places to get oysters in Jax. A dozen is about $15 (I think) and everything else on the menu is very well priced. The shrimp and grits is one of the best shrimp and grits I've had. The grits are super creamy and well seasoned. They have great fries (super crispy) and shrimp. The service was also amazing. Our server Elena was so sweet and attentive. I wasn't sure which soup I wanted so she offered (without me asking) to bring out a small sample for me to try. I ended with the creamy crab soup but the other one was more broth based but was also really good too. Couldn't recommend this place more. Great food and great service will always keep me coming back.

Half pound peel and eat shrimp mmm....chefs kiss

What a great place to dine!! I loved everything about it. And the service was above and beyond. We had a server named Libby and she was phenomenal. I mean very skilled and just wonderful!! The food really was some of the best food fresh food we've had in forever. So glad we chose the Fish Company!! We dined in a booth. Very comfortable. Perfect !! Loved everything about this place!!

We all started off with our own wine flight and I think we all got the Whites of the World one, which was delicious!! I split one with my friend, which was a good amount for us, but you could definitely order your own too. For appetizers, we got the specials burrata and Brussels sprouts. Both were amazinggggg but the best was the Brussels sprouts. I always thought I didn't like them but after eating these I found out I do! That sauce is amazing. For my entree, I got the chimichurri steak. It had great flavor, but was a little cold. I guess I didn't get any pics of dessert because it was just that good but we got the sticky toffee cake and I'm still dreaming about it!! So delicious!! Our waiter, Jonathan, was so sweet, and already split the items we split on the bill for our group like dessert without us asking and very knowledgeable of the menu especially different wines. Will definitely be back!

On arrival my friends were easily assisted and provided a spot outside upon request for four of us for brunch. Server, Michelle, made sure all could be set up quickly- balloons and cake. She was exceptional. Quick service, very thorough, super friendly- but not just that, very personable. Answered all our questions and made great suggestions. Appetizers were Buffalo cauliflower (not on brunch menu) and spinach dip. Both were wonderful- great flavor and portion size was large. One plain and one with shrimp. Super tasty. Started off with a bottle of champagne for mimosas. When time for our cake, Michelle was quick to action and bring plates and utensils. She felt like part of the celebration over just being our server. Really haven't had this level of service or genuine personality at any restaurant before- not even for upscale nights out. Quay was our personal server and I think he was our bartender too- although there was another person back and forth behind the bar. We added a little chaos to the mix with a handful of family who showed without rsvp-ing. Add in toddlers plus easily 15 people.... Yeah- mad respect for Quay!!! I admit to being sad that I couldn't get my broiled platter- that is my favorite Fish Camp dish, and apparently not available for lunch. I pivoted and got the steam pot for 2. For myself. And guess what- I ate all the crab, hmmm so happy! Laugh- it was hilarious, I was still cracking crab while everyone sung happy birthday! I was thrilled. I brought home most of the potatoes, corn and such- it even had mushrooms and broccoli! YUM! My old fashioned was also perfection in a glass. John had the shrimp and fish basket and loved every bite. Several raved about the shrimp and grits. Caron loved her mahi mahi. Connor got the Spicy Wild Caught Shrimp Linguine with White Wine, Garlic, Tomato, Pecorino and inhaled it! Even the kiddos were super happy with the kids chicken strips, although the kitchen delivered the first plate to the wrong toddler and the lovely parents didn't question how they got food without ordering and that little girl dug right in. Opposite end of the table- this grandma spoke up and we split the food so all the littles were fed. Considering our chaotic group, it went very well. I didn't hear a single complaint from our party. Hopefully we didn't drive the staff too crazy!

I used to absolutely love this place. It was our go-to for seafood, celebrations, family dinners,…read moreand special occasions for years. We recommended it constantly and genuinely enjoyed supporting them. Unfortunately, after our last few experiences, that loyalty is completely gone. The problems really started during a dinner visit with my spouse. We had a reservation for two and specifically requested a booth because my spouse has herniated discs and booths are much easier on her back. The hostess with glasses told us there were "no booths available for parties of two," so we were seated at a tiny two-top directly in front of an empty booth. Minutes later, another couple - who apparently didn't even have the correct downstairs reservation because Wheel House was closed for a private event - was seated in that exact booth instead. When I politely questioned it, I was told they were "accommodating them." Interesting, because apparently accommodating a medical issue for customers with a reservation didn't matter. Still, we decided to give the restaurant another chance for Mother's Day. To their credit, we were seated at a booth this time after I both noted it in the reservation and called ahead to confirm it. Our waiter was someone we immediately recognized from a previous visit, and my parents mentioned he had waited on us before at that same table. Somehow, from that comment alone, he became convinced we were related to Chef Tim Tillus. From there, things got bizarre. He kept talking about "Timmy," mentioning reunions and saying he used to live with him. The restaurant was extremely loud, and my father had forgotten his hearing aids that day, so honestly we could barely understand what he was talking about. We just smiled politely and focused on asking about the menu because we truly had no clue where the conversation was going. Eventually, he came back and realized we were NOT Chef Tim Tillus' family. He then explained that the kitchen staff had apparently been laughing because the chef saw us and said, "That's not my family." So somehow this became a whole ordeal in the kitchen over a completely innocent misunderstanding. We laughed awkwardly because what else do you do at that point? But honestly, the whole interaction felt strange and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the food was even worse than the awkward service. My spouse ordered the all-day seafood soup, and somehow there was basically ZERO seafood in it. That alone was shocking because their soups used to be incredible. My father ordered the broiled platter, and the portion size was honestly embarrassing for a $29 dish. His parsley potatoes consisted of literally five tiny cubes - my mother counted them because we were in disbelief. We have eaten here for years and NEVER saw portions this small. I ordered the fish special, and it was nothing like described. It was supposed to have pecans and blackening seasoning. There were no pecans, no blackening seasoning, and the fish itself was dry, bland, overcooked, and flavorless. For $32, I was served what looked like a tiny sad pile of fish in the middle of a giant empty plate. The pork chop looked beautiful but tasted absolutely awful. At this point I honestly don't know if the kitchen quality has completely collapsed or if nobody is checking food before it leaves the line anymore. Either way, it was terrible. My mother ordered scallops on the half shell as her meal - something she has enjoyed there many times before. This time, the scallops were tiny and somehow greasy. It was shocking these dishes were even leaving the kitchen. What makes this so disappointing is that we truly loved this restaurant. We weren't casual customers. We supported this place for years because we believed the food and experience were worth it. This wasn't just a mediocre meal or an "off night." This was a genuinely terrible dining experience from start to finish, made worse by the fact that it happened on Mother's Day. The service felt awkward and disorganized, the portions were insulting, the food quality was awful, and there seemed to be zero quality control happening anywhere. At this point, our money will be supporting other establishments instead. It's honestly sad because this place USED to be special. I sincerely hope management fixes the kitchen, consistency, and overall professionalism before even more longtime customers walk away.
