COCONUT SHRIMP - I bit one.

It sure how they've done it but they've gotten even better. I highly recommend the New England Clam Chowder. They don't skimp on the clam and it's just delicious. We ordered delivery tonight and everything was delicious and crispy. The fish and chips are definitely the way to go but we've tried quite a few things from this menu and haven't been disappointed once. I'd recommend this place over and over again. Great service, local gem, amazing food. Bravo!

This place does seafood right and doesn't skimp on the fish. I had lunch there with my family today. The staff were really nice. You order at the register and they give you a number to bring the food for your table. The restaurant was really clean, they immediately clean the tables after customers leave. I ate the grouper sandwich, had my fish blackened and switched the tartar sauce for their special joint sauce instead. I loved it. The joint sauce is a spicy Mayo and it was really good on the sandwich. I was pleased with the size of the grouper filet. It comes with a choice of side and two hush puppies. I should have ordered more hush puppies, they were yum! I'm picky about Cole slaw and theirs was done right.

Just had your special Shrimp platter tonight. It was delicious. You fries and coleslaw was great. I always enjoy your food. Thank you for s great dinner.

Delicious fresh food with friendly staff and a clean restaurant. The Fish Joint is located in a nice homey plaza. The menu has lots of options for everyone - hot and cold appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches and burgers. The food comes out quickly and piping hot. I started with a bowl of clam chowder which was tasty but on the salty side. I was definitely paying the price with the water retention the next day. Portion size was good. The fried cod fish sandwich was huge and very good the fish was airy and flaky. The buns were fluffy and semi sweet. The coleslaw was light and not strongly seasoned. The burger was cooked medium and had a nice thick meat patty. Loaded with fresh toppings. The fries were hand cut potato slices and delicious. The hush puppies were a little dry but still good. Thank you Sebastian and Valentina for the good service!

My husband does NOT do superlatives. He said the Fish Joint had the best (cold) lobster roll he's ever had. I enjoyed my blackened mahi sandwich, to which I added sriracha which made it SING! Next time I will ask them to toast the bun a little longer as it was a bit soggy. Their fries are seasoned and delectable! This time we ordered takeout and the staff was friendly. I can't wait to return!

Fresh seafood, plenty of options & something for everyone. The staff is very nice. The only drawback is it's a bit pricey but it's worth eating it every now & then. They've been around for a while so they know what they're doing. :)

I'm impressed. Was able to try 4 different dishes and really liked all 4, pictures included! All the fish was cooked to perfection with good flavor. Cool vibes in here too (surf themed) lol! The servers were super nice and helpful even after we got our food and sat. I also liked that I saw the servers thoroughly clean every table after people got up to leave. It's clean!

I was craving a seafood boil for my birthday and decided to give "The Fish Joint" a try. The restaurant service set up is, you order at the register and your food is delivered to your table. I had no idea when I made the decision to go there. Not the best birthday celebration location however the food was very good. There is indoor bench style seating and a few tables outaide. We ordered the Steamers as an appetizer. They were cooked perfectly and delicious! The serving was plentiful and the broth was perfect. For my main, I had the half Crab Boil. It was also plentiful and fantastic. My fiancé had the Blackened Mahi Mahi with the Cajun Rice and Corn on the Cob. The Mahi Mahi and the rice were good but the corn and the serving size weren't so great. Another thing that wasn't so great was that a server never returned to our table to take away dishes that were finished, leaving a messy experience with a huge bowl of clams and a crab boil. I'll be back but not to celebrate anything. Might be better to get takeout at this restaurant.

It was a supper amazing experience! The service was good and fast, which added to the overall enjoyment. We tried the fish and chips, conch fritters, and shrimp PO boy, and everything was fantastic. The portions were generous. Definitely a place to visit if you're in the area.

As we approached the hidden entrance tucked under a portico, I noticed it was right next to a Jersey Mikes entrance which gave me pause for a second. We had a reservation and were greeted by an extremely pleasant woman who turned out to be our waitress as well. The interior is tight, only about 7-8 tables, a bar and a small kitchen. After speaking with our lovely waitress, we ordered and the food was delivered in courses which was nice for a change. Everything we ordered was freshly prepared and delicious. It turns out the single person in the kitchen is the owner. He hand prepares every dish and accompaniment. Great food, great service and the staff were all very pleasant. A great dining experience- we will be back.

Before I talk about the food I want to say that the young lady that was the bartender and server was so friendly and gave great suggestions. The restaurant is small, however it is beautiful inside and does offer outdoor seating as well. Now for the food. They bring out fresh hot rolls with a small plate of cheese pesto and balsamic drizzle. Outstanding!!!!! We came to find out the owner who is the chef, his wife is a pastry chef and makes the bread and desserts. To start we had the Spanish chargrilled octopus. I know I have said this before about other restaurants, but I can truly say hands-down. This was the freshest, most tender, and one of the most flavorful grilled octopus that we have had. It came with a mixture of capers, potatoes, and vegetables in an amazing sauce. Truly fantastic. For dinner, my wife had the blackened yellowtail snapper in curry sauce, and I had the shellfish pan roast. Both were one of a kind dishes. We have never had such great flavor and seafood. Not to mention the amount of food that they put out and the presentation is worthy of awards. My wife's blacked snapper was cooked perfectly had a light blackened coating, and the curry sauce was tremendous. My shellfish were super fresh. Again cooked to perfection, tender, and flavorful. The sauce they were in was amazing. For dessert, we tried their homemade Keylime pie, and this too was top-notch and made fresh. We are planning our next trip to this restaurant and if you actually want a true fine, dining seafood experience you have to try this spot. I'm going to say it is priced accordingly for the true quality of food, the amount you are served and the presentation. If you are looking for a fried shrimp basket or fish and chips, this is not the type of restaurant for you. This is upscale seafood, and a true upscale seafood experience. You might want to consider making reservations as they do get busy and as I mentioned earlier, it is a small restaurant.

A restaurant that serves seafood and wings?…read more I'll admit it... I walked in a little skeptical. It felt like one of those menus that couldn't decide what it wanted to be when it grew up. So I did what any reasonable person would do. I ordered both. Before I even get to the food, I have to give a shout-out to the two young men working behind the counter. They were incredibly friendly, genuinely helpful, and steered me toward a combination that turned out to be a great choice. Good service doesn't always happen at casual restaurants, but these guys made a terrific first impression. Now, about that fryer... Whoever was running it knew exactly what they were doing. The batter on the fish was light, crispy, and delicate without burying the fish underneath. The fish itself was cooked perfectly. The wings were also very good, the fries were crisp, and the whole meal delivered exactly what comfort food is supposed to deliver. The shrimp? It felt a little like the forgotten middle child. Perfectly fine, but overshadowed by everything else on the plate. My only real criticism is that the food may have been a touch heavy on the salt. Then again, I'd rather reach for my drink than wonder if the kitchen forgot to season the food altogether. Hook's Catch isn't trying to be fine dining, and that's exactly why it works. It's the kind of place you go when you're craving something hot, crispy, and satisfying. And I have to admit, there's something oddly satisfying about a restaurant that refuses to make you choose between land and sea. Go with the fish. Go with the wings. Or do what I did and have them both.

We then shared the spicy tuna taco & the sushi burger. Both had very fresh ingredients, but I expected the taco to have a bit more flavor to. The main reason for our visit was the sushi burger, which certainly did not disappoint. The two crispy rice buns were cooked perfectly and made for a great base for the fresh fillings within. Pile High Nachos with Birria -- The Sloppy Nacho -- 3/10 (2 Stars on Yelp)…read more I only review nachos. Not the room, not the drinks, just the plate. Papamigos gave me the best looking plate of nachos I've ever been served, and one of the worst to actually eat. It arrives as a mountain, and credit where it's due, nobody has ever set a better looking plate of nachos in front of me. Colored chips, birria up the sides, drizzle over the peak. It's a fiesta. It's genuinely beautiful. It's also called Pile High, which in hindsight was the menu warning me, and me ordering it anyway. Stupid Nacho Man. The thing about a pile is it has exactly one move: down. Every good thing, the fresh pico, the peppers that actually have real heat, all of it, is stacked on the summit. So you get three glorious bites of a real nacho and then you're off the mountain and into the badlands. Dry chips on one side, cold cheese swamp on the other, no peppers in sight. The party was on top and you already ate it. Depression sets in. Somewhere under all that queso is a chip that knows what happened to Jimmy Hoffa. Here's the real tragedy. The queso is actual flowing nacho cheese, and there is an absolute ass load of it. Nineteen plates I've spent begging South Florida to use real nacho cheese, and Papamigos finally did, then dumped so much on that it drowned the pico, the peppers, and the meat. I'm not saying the kitchen was in a hurry (I was the only person there), I'm saying someone back there said "f*** it" like John McClane going off the Nakatomi roof and dumped an ocean of molten cheese on this thing. I am not exaggerating for effect. I wish I were. And the whole thing came out room temperature. Only two things on that plate were hot, the queso and the meat, and they had to warm an entire mountain by themselves while a pile of cold chips mugged them for their heat. They lost that battle faster than France surrendering (in about two minutes.) The shredded cheese at the bottom never melted at all, because it was sitting under a cold pile on a plastic boat you can't exactly slide into an oven. Check the photos, there's a queso stalactite hanging off the rim. It formed on the way to the table and was still hanging there twenty minutes later, purely out of spite. Then there's the meat. I ordered the birria. Five dollar upcharge, it's on the receipt. What showed up was pot roast. Gray, no chile, no adobo, none of what makes birria birria. Check the photos and compare it to a real one. I'm not going to tell you what's in anybody's head. I'll just say the menu said birria, the receipt charged me for birria, and the plate said pot roast. You do the math. Credit where it's due, the server took twenty percent off without me asking. Though the birria upcharge was five bucks and the discount was four-forty, so I still paid for the pot roast. Just at a slight discount. I did not finish it. I've left plates before when they beat me on sheer volume, and honestly that's a compliment. This one I walked away from with room left in the tank. I left still hungry, and I would rather be hungry. Twenty-two dollars for a third of a plate. Four peppers a fire does not make. This dish is a dumpster fire without the heat. All of it is fixable. Heat the chips, layer it instead of stacking it, ease up on the queso, and put actual birria on the birria. Until then, I'm giving this a hard pass. -- Florida Nacho Man

NEW FAMILY FAVORITE ALERT…read more My family and I love Mediterranean cuisine and this restaurant is officially a go-to. We started with several appetizers including spinach pies, falafel, and the Hommous sampler. The falafel was crisp and packed with flavor! I can't recommend the toum (garlic dip) enough. I would put this spread on anything! Another standout that we were all pleasantly surprised was their fries! These are the crispiest, most delicious side dish. Don't skip them. For dinner we had their moussaka and shish combo. The lamb, chicken, and kabobs were perfectly cooked- so flavorful and juicy! For dessert we had their bread pudding and Dubai chocolate brownie that came recommended from our waitress. Definitely enough to share and very decadent. Lastly, I want to compliment the service. Our drinks were always full, food came out altogether, and they took the time to explain various dishes and how they differ from the typical Mediterranean dishes. We ordered few small items and everything was fresh and flavourful... but I had a very big surprise about my favourite Tabbouleh salad. I always order this salad in many different states and countries and I love it. This was the only time I couldn't eat it. It was just way too much green onion in it (really competing with parsley). Like tons and large crunchy pieces of green onion. I took the salad home hoping my husband would eat it but he said "This is green onion Tabbouleh, not parsley". So yeah, that's my only disappointment here. Maybe it was the only time they made it like that by accident.. or maybe that's their ratio recipe, I wasn't sure. The Lentil soup was delicious! Also my friend's dish - the lamb and roasted veggies were pretty good. I would love to come back and try another dishes, their famous tea and/or coffee.

You'll also never know what type of boat you might see as well, which makes for a fun time. I think a highlight appetizer is definitely the conquers. They are super flavorful and you definitely get the seafood taste without much filler. I also love the black and mahi sandwich for an entrée. I think that they always give a very nice piece of mahi and the blackened seasoning that they use is not overbearing, but really adds flavor. My favorite drink here is a blue moon on draft. I think that there is nothing better than a blue moon when sitting along the water. If you haven't tried the cove, I definitely recommend stopping by. I think their food is phenomenal. The atmosphere is great and the service is a 10 out of 10.

Well no need to look any further because Seafood 2 your Soul is absolutely terrific! The prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and the taste is umm umm good! You get a choice of classic, deluxe, extreme or ultimate platter! Classic was what I ordered because it's the smallest size. They didn't disappoint, located in Pompano which was about 45 mins away from my residence. It was worth it, the crabs, shrimp, corn, sausage & eggs taste very good, bursting with seasoning & flavor!(exactly how I like my crab boils) Definitely found my favorite crab restaurant moving forward! We stopped here on the way to pick up my mom and placed our to go order. The parking lot was packed so we had to wait on a spot to become free. It was hard to decide what to get but we settled on the garlic blues with snow crab clusters with medium spice. It still wasn't ready when we came back but delicious food cannot be rushed. I couldn't wait to dig my teeth in. The garlic blues were amazing but could have been less garlicky as it created a mess. The shrimp, eggs and corn were seasoned to perfection. The potatoes and beef sausage were soggy. I especially enjoyed the snow crab clusters and would absolutely get it again. Can't wait to try more mouthwatering dishes.
