Update: order wrong again. I ordered and paid for avocado, none placed. Ordered chopsticks, fork was given.

    Barely any meat all rice.

Haven't been here in a while thought I'd give it another try but I think I'm gunna stick with the hole in wall place this is bullshit. There's hardly any meat it's like $10 for a bowl of rice.

I've been to a LOT of flame broilers all over the place. Their product is great but each location is really hit or miss. Sometimes the meat doesn't seem flame grilled. Sometimes they gyp you on the portions. Sometimes they don't have a type of sauce. Sometimes the employees are just miserable. Sometimes its awesome and everything is on point. THIS particular one was ON POINT. And rightfully so since this one is apparently attached to their headquarters. This one is setting the example on what a flame broiler SHOULD be. I ordered my usual. Regular chicken bowl with brown rice and veggies. Simple. Workers were friendly with a smile. Place was clean and nicely stocked. And most importantly, the food was exactly what it should be! Flame grilled and charred chicken. Good portion size. Crunchy veggies. If I lived closer to this area, I'd make this my go to flame broiler, but sadly I live far away and my local flame broiler is hit or miss. Anyways, if I have another appointment in this area, I'm coming back. This is how it's done. Hopefully they're consistent, but from my experience and the reviews, it seems like they are.

Hidden new location in a business center. I had no idea this was even here until I drove by and saw it out of the corner of my eye. They are not open on the weekends and I forgot to take down their weekday hours. Super fast service, clean brand new restaurant, and not crowded during lunch time. I love the amount of indoor and outdoor seating available (they have a patio on the back). Easiest to access off Warner & Brookhollow.

Tucked away in a very industrial & business area of Santa Ana, this Flame Broiler may be hard to find for someone unfamiliar to these parts. However, if you keep on making your way down Brookhollow Dr. You'll be sure to find it. Complaints by other Yelpers have been made about parking especially during peak hours (ie lunch), but I feel like that's inescapable. This location is SURROUNDED by businesses! In fact, if you look around there's multiple businesses that share the same parking lot that Flame Broiler is nestled in so that's beyond the establishment's control. This was my first time at any Flame Broiler and while I can't make any complaints for food/service, I personally don't feel like that Flame Broiler is anything too special. While the food was made fresh, fast, and was provided to me in a timely manner with good customer service I was not wow'd by meal. I ordered the Angus Beef Mini Bowl with brown rice. I really like that they don't charge you extra if you opt for brown rice like other establishments might, so that's a plus! At the end of the line they also ask you if you want your bowl with or without green onions! When The concept of Flame Broiler is pretty simple, as is their menu options. They have a few bowls you can choose from and you can decide if you want to add some veggies with your protein (chicken/beef or a combination of the two). I think that it should be noted that you can only get a mini bowl if you're not trying to get the orders that have veggies in them! They don't have many sides or much else, but the way you do order is you go around and it's kind of a chipotle kind of line (with less options and toppings). They have plenty of seating inside and outside of the establishment and it's very clean too! Definite pluses! Though Flame Broiler's not my cup-of-tea and I don't think it's amazing, I can see myself coming back here for convenience to feed my grumbly tummy during my lunch hour since this is only a few mins away (walking-distance) from my office.

Gross chunk of chicken fat (not chicken breast at all).

I really wish they would bring it back because it was one of the restaurant's signature dishes and a favorite among many customers. During this visit, I ordered the sliced pork and the jelly noodles. The sliced pork was incredibly tender, with a clean, fresh flavor that let the ingredients' quality shine. The jelly noodles were refreshing, spicy, and full of bold Sichuan flavors. The combination of heat, seasoning, and texture was simply delicious. The dessert was also surprisingly good. He double checked for us and main server hadn't sent our order to the kitchen. We had already waited 25 minutes in addition after placing our order. Our order came out very quickly after the realization. Unfortunately the lemon salmon sushi roll that came out seemed incredibly rushed. The roll wasn't tucked in so each piece we grabbed broke apart. The fried squid legs were good. The udon texture was good, but by the time our food came out, we weren't in the best mood. The skewers are pricey, but if you order one, let it be the maitake mushrooms ($7). It's so meaty that you forget that it's not meat at all. Highly recommend. If you're sharing with a group or need some carbs, I recommend ordering the fried rice. I've had the prawn and pork versions and both are great. Would definitely recommend the fries since they give a hugeee portion. They were very crispy and had a lot of Parmesan. They kind of made the pastas look small lol. The spicy miso carbonara was quite spicy but creamy and delicious. The squid ink uni pasta was more watery but still tasted delicious. The uni was fresh. The salmon Crudo was great and the sauce had a very light refreshing taste. Would definitely recommend coming here!

We almost didn't want the kway teow and wanted fried rice and server was holding it in her hand and said if we really really wanted to switch it out she could do it for us. We ended up trying the kway teow anyways but turned out to he a disappointment. Not enough flavor? Missing salt or soy sauce? Only the egg made it good BUT! Beef satay was perfect! Not chewy. Was so delicious with the sauce they have. I wanted additional sauce for togo but that's additional cost . And chicken pop was just perfectly fried and seasoned chicken. It was delicious. Not the same as taiwanese popcorn chicken since it has a different spice. Would come back again but not for the kway teow.
