I came here with a few friends to get some dinner and drinks on a rooftop. Thursday nights has an $8 spritz deal which is appreciated. Entrees and food are a very reasonably priced and honestly very good. Our table was satisfied and full. The steak flatbread is a must try. Service was prompt and kind. Place was decorated nicely and the rooftop has a view of the Empire State Building which is pretty. Great spot for the area.

I checked out this place with an old friend of mine and it was such a great time. We ordered a few drinks and I highly recommend the Hugo, it's St.Germaine + Prosecco + Mint. Very refreshing. The Hugo cocktail was $8, a great happy hour deal on Thursday nights. The beef sliders were juicy and delicious and we were served in less than 10 minutes. The ambiance is cozy for such a huge place, definitely gave dimly lit tavern vibes. They have a rooftop bar section too with a great view of the city. The bartenders were friendly all around. I would say the patrons were generally around their early 20's-30's, so keep that in mind since it gets real busy during intern season in NYC. Definitely would come back here to dine on the rooftop.

Bella Union is a great place to hangout with 2 levels of indoor seating and a rootop: Great Drinks, delicious food and Better Views makes it a top pick for drinks and happy hour, offering a lively atmosphere with stunning Empire State Building views. Their happy hour boasts excellent deals on a range of drinks, including popular $5 Espresso Martinis on Tuesdays and other drinks specials till 8pm. While not a quiet spot, good service and its energetic vibe and versatile, year-round rooftop make it a prime choice for casual gatherings and group outings. We went on Tuesday Eve for happy hour and sat on the rooftop. We ordered margaritas and roasted cauliflower appetizers. Really liked the drinks, food and the atmosphere.

This place is right in middle of all hussle and bussle. The rooftop is amazing vibe and should be visited for sure. Their drink and food menu is also pretty great. Dont really need resrevations most of the time. Servers are good and friendly. Tried their pasta and chicken which were both great. Really great for drinks and happy hour.

"Que bella," is the view from Bella Union's Rooftop deck! I stopped in for lunch on a breezy afternoon in August, and while I didn't mange to capture a photo of the view, I did remember to snap a pic of their delicious Watermelon Salad. I chose to add avocado, which was just a tad overripe, but nonetheless, rich and delicious. They have some great lunch specials as well, and the cocktail I tried, (Sexy Beast,) was a refreshing choice for the Summer Season! Our server was friendly, and checked in on us a couple of times throughout our meal. It wasn't my first visit, and I'm sure it won't be the last.

The perfect spot does exist!!! The vibes here are amazing!!! The decor is spectacular, the music is FIRE, the drinks are amazing. I could go as far as saying that these drinks will wake you up enough to enjoy a full night of fun... or maybe that's just the Espresso Martini talking. The Espresso Martini here is FIRE!!!! Peter makes one of the best Espresso Martini's I have ever had. Definitely makes my top 5 list. Peter is a legend when it comes to service. He even let me keep my keto diet by replacing the rice with sautéd spinach. I even had someone over my shoulder say that it smelled amazing. All I could say was it tastes great too!!! I would highly recommend it. Peter always makes my time here so much fun. One word to describe him would be "LEGEND ... and I hope you're not lactose intolerant because the next word is... DAIRY!!! I can't forget Cassie. She was on the far side of the bar but always takes care of me. Talk about two legends behind the bar. That can only lead to one of two things. A legendary night, or a legendary face off. Both are professional so it will only one way... a spectacular night. I would highly recommend this spot to everyone looking for a good night. WARNING: too much caffeine is bad for the heart. Drink responsibly...

I came here after work with my coworkers. We were able to be seated quickly on the rooftop. We took advantage of the happy hour which ends at 8 pm! What we ordered: - Tater tots - Buffalo cauliflower - sweet potato fries - chicken tenders tossed in Buffalo sauce For drinks we got Prosecco, rose, and white wine.

Came for happy hour Tuesday deals, which go until late. We walked in and got a table. There was a lot of space. The espresso martinis were good. We tried the loaded tots, brussel sprouts with pancetta bits, and steak mashed potato flatbread. The flatbread was delicious. I'd come again. Servers were nice.

This was my second time coming here. Found this place on my way to another happy hour spot and noticed their sign mentioning $10 burgers all day on Wednesdays. So after hitting up the first happy hour spot, got hungry after a few drinks and made my way to Bella Union. Ordered the American burger ($10) with bacon ($3) and got a high noon ($6 - HH) along with it. The burger was really good and gave plenty of fries which I couldn't finish. For the quality and amount of food, probably the best happy hour deal around. The place has three floors with full bar in each including a rooftop bar. If you are looking for a happy hour spot or just a spot to grab food and drinks, I highly recommend this spot. I found my go to happy hour spot :) * rooftop * plenty of tv's for sports * great service * daily happy hour specials

$5 espresso martinis on Tuesday from 4pm onwards! However, I personally do not enjoy them, they're extremely bitter with a strong coffee and alcohol aftertaste. The service is fast and the ambience is amazing for some light snacks with friends. They have three floor and the rooftop area is my favourite! Lots of seating with an open balcony area that has a beautiful view of the chrysler building and empire state building!

    Kenneth E.

Really good food and drinks. At like 10pm the place adds a DJ and table service stops and as a millennial, the music was so good. There were three floors supposedly, but the top floors were blocked off for a private party so I definitely would come back and check that out. Also want to come back for one of their specials!

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. I would recommend it to folks who are looking for a good place to either go out on a date or a family type meal.

It's better than it needs to be, which in this neighborhood counts for a lot. The room is the star. Brass, smoked mirrors, marble, wallpaper with burlesque dancers, very Gatsby cosplay but done with actual money. Think the Campbell at Grand Central, minus the $28 martini attitude. It's also LOUD downstairs. Ask for upstairs if you want to hear your date. Gin is the program here and they take it seriously, house-infused bottles paired with specific tonics, not an afterthought. My G&T was legitimately well built. Food from chef JC Colón is better than cocktail-bar standard: truffle fries in duck fat are worth it, the lobster mac at $31 is rich and fine but you've had it before. Skip dessert. The steak frites at $48 is where I'd tap out, that's real-restaurant money for bar food execution. Here's the move though: weekday happy hour, 4 to 7. Dollar oysters and $13 cocktails in a room this pretty is one of the best deals in Midtown, full stop. Service was warm and fast even slammed. Not a destination, but if you're near Bryant Park or seeing a show, this beats everything else within five blocks. Book ahead, walk-ins were getting turned away by 5:30.

The…read morepull apart truffle monkey bread was our initial reason for coming, and although the price point was quite steep, I would say it's worth the try. The bread was fluffy and not dry, which I had seen previous reviews say before. Paired with the creamy truffle butter, it had a luxurious mouthfeel. My favorite was the pork chop (cognac, sweet prunes, bacon, rosemary) -- the sweet and soft texture of the prune was melted in my mouth like fat, and the pork was tender, with the rosemary also coming through. The vodka rigatoni was a skip, somewhat bland and one-note, we ended up putting some of the truffle butter and garlic aioli from the fries to make it more flavorful. This was especially in contrast with the spicy shrimp pasta which was much tastier. Also got the strawberry vacherin (strawberry ice cream, meringue, vanilla whipped cream), it was my first time having this dessert. The tartness of the strawberry was great with the fluffy meringue and the sweet ice cream. Service was extremely attentive, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with moody lighting. Although the space was packed, it didn't feel too loud or crowded. We spent about two hours and didn't feel rushed.

I went on a Thursday night, and the place was absolutely packed. The front feels more like a bar/casual area, while the dining room is tucked toward the back. My reservation was at 10:15 PM, so I actually had a light dinner beforehand and ordered a little lighter than I normally would. I got: - Truffle Monkey Bread ($34.99) - Prime Rib French Dip ($39.99) - Pommes Frites ($13.99) - Banana Split Sundae ($24.99) I thought the prices were definitely on the higher end when I first sat down, but the Truffle Monkey Bread is divine! Honestly, it's probably in my top 3 bread experiences of my life. If you love truffle, butter, cheese, and basically everything good in life, please get this. It comes out slightly warm and is just incredible. I will probably dream about this bread. The French Dip was good, although it was a little too salty for me. If I get the chance to come back, I'd probably try one of their actual steaks instead. The pommes frites were super crispy, basically McDonald's fries but elevated. The Banana Split Sundae was so pretty. I loved how they placed all the little treats around the crevices/imprints of the dish (not sure how else to describe it ). It's huge, though, so definitely don't expect to finish it yourself. I'd recommend sharing it with 3+ people. I was also celebrating an anniversary, and they brought out a strawberry scoop for us. It tasted homemade and really fresh. I could actually see pieces of strawberry in it, which I loved. The restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, and getting a dinner reservation can be a struggle, but I'd absolutely go again if I got the chance. The decor is cozy and upscale, the food was excellent, and the whole place has a really nice atmosphere. My only real complaint was that our waitress kept pushing us to order more, which got a little annoying, especially since we had already ordered quite a bit. Overall: expensive + difficult reservation, but absolutely worth trying. And please get the truffle monkey bread.
