Chicken Salad
Haley B.

Came here for lunch today and was left extremely disappointed. I ordered the chicken salad as a wrap and it was amazing, however my negative experience stemmed from the lack of hospitality. Our waitress only showed up to take our orders and deliver the food. She didn't check up on us a single time or refill a single drink. Food took forever to come out even though the restaurant itself wasn't that busy. Even charging our cards took about 20 minutes to do even though, once again, it wasn't that busy. It seemed like they only had one waitress serving the entire restaurant which is probably why we never saw her. Overall I came in with high hopes and left extremely frustrated and disrespected with the way my party was treated here. Would not recommend this place unless you like long waits and rude service.

Stopped in for the fried chicken cobb salad and it was tasty and plentiful. Great service. Nice location in the heart of downtown Wilmington. The plate was too small to manipulate the contents without spilling it off the plate. And it was definitely overpriced for a salad. Not a very large dining area. I sat at the bar.

Brisket Mac & cheese

This was a recommendation from a local when I was in town for the marathon. The place was pretty packed but I sat at the bar and it was great. The staff were super nice and attentive. I got the brisket mac&cheese which came with a salad. I chose the Caesar. The salad was just find. The croutons were very hard. The Mac& cheese was hot with a decent taste, but some bites were a bit watery. The brisket was good, not great. The burgers and chicken sandwich looked really good but I only had the mac&cheese. If I went again I'd definitely try the lamb burger.

It takes literally 100 years to get your order ready. We've been sitting here for more than 40 minutes waiting for our burgers to be ready. The salad is awful, and the vegetables are not fresh at all. The burgers are ok.

MC Hot Chicken Sandwich

Took a recommendation from the doctor wonderful and attentive bartender, Bailey and ordered the MC Hot Chicken sandwich. The flavor combination was incredible. The portion was generous and shareable! I look forward to returning!

If you're in downtown you have to visit this place. It's cute, has a great playlist, and our server Cameron was very attentive. He had good suggestions and was just as excited about the food as we were. We tried the texas poutine, brisket mac and cheese and cobb salad. Everything was delicious. We'll definitely be back :)

Hot Chicken and sweet potato fries

We absolutely love this place!! It's definitely our favorite spot when we come to Wilmington. Everything is so good!! The Brussels Sprouts are absolutely the best! Their hot chicken sandwich is the best I've ever had! If you are in Wilmington, you definitely need to give this place a try!

Stopped in just as they were opening for lunch. Talk about a BURGER! Juicy, flavorful, thick, and any toppings that you could imagine! If you're in the mood for a tasty burger and crispy fries this is your spot. It's a small space - so evenings and weekends might have a wait, but it's worth it!

Lamb Burger

Came here for dinner around 5:30 on a Sunday. We had to wait about 15 minute but the process was easy and quick. They took our name and texted us when our table was ready and we were able to see which number we were in line. The inside is quaint with a couple tables and bar seating with some tables outside as well. The menu has a bunch of appetizers, salads, burgers and different sandwiches. I ordered the lamb burger and I loved it. Fries were a little greasy and only came with a small side of ketchup. But the burger was really good. Loved the feta and the flavors were great. The burger was huge and very filling. Was able to bring some home for leftovers. Yum! Price was fair! A nice meal!

Food was pretty bad. Our meals were cold and not fresh. Burger was too salty and well done.

How is the chicken salad sandwich?

I'm sorry, Beth S., but I've yet to try their chicken salad sandwich. Everything else I've had is beyond delicious with servings beyond copious. I do recommend calling ahead and asking how long it will be before a table is ready and leaving your…

Do they take reservations or call ahead seating?

They do call ahead seating! They will take your phone number and text you when your table is ready. You just respond that you are otw and they will hold your table! I frequent Tavern Law for a quick drink when I'm waiting for my table. +1 (910)…

Is this building the once and former Cafe Atlantique?

I'm being told that it is not the same building. Trying to figure out where it was.

The burger itself was juicy and had a good flavor. One of the better burgers I've had honestly and you have a ton of toppings to choose from. My one bite score came out to a whopping 8.2/10 which is the 4th highest rated burger on my scale ever. The sweet potato wedges were amazing the cinnamon is the way to go! I was kind of disappointed with the sizing I ordered a large to split between the two of us and it wasn't enough. The 12 oz shake was amazing the only thing with that was it took forever. I was done with my food by the time the shake was done. It did look like they only have one shake machine so that could be why it took so long but the fact the I was done with my food before even seeing the shake was a bit crazy. The price of it all was a bit steep in the 40 some dollar range, but it was great. Also kinda in a random place but the vibes were great in there and the food was good I would say it is definitely worth the drive.

Just a hands down really good burger with them being 75% chuck and 25% bring brisket & short rib certified angus beef. You have options for a single, double, or triple with plennnnnnnnty of options to top them with. The fries, were a bit salty for my liking, but obviously that can be shook off and better than having none at all; they also offer mesquite bbq as a seasoning instead of just salt. Located at the end of a strip mall, with plenty of parking. Come down and check this place out for yourself. The staff were awsome, kind, and polite with energetic spirits, the restaraunt was clean, and most importantly....so was the bathroom.

As a New Yorker, I was excited to see it on the menu. And let me say this first... the sandwich was delicious. I cleaned that thing up and didn't leave a single crumb behind. The flavor was on point. Here's the only issue: it wasn't really a chopped cheese. Instead of using chopped ground beef like you'd find at a New York bodega, it was made with sliced steak. I asked the owner about it, and he explained that they used to make it the traditional way, but they switched because the ground beef would dry out by the time customers got it home or had it delivered. Using steak keeps it much juicier. I told him, "Then it's not really a chopped cheese anymore... it's basically a Philly cheesesteak." He laughed and said, "No, our Philly cheesesteak uses different meat." That caught my attention, so I said, "Hold up... you have an actual Philly cheesesteak too?" He said yes. So naturally, I came back the next day to try it. After trying both, I can honestly say I liked the "chopped cheese" much more. The Philly cheesesteak was made with Steak-umm-style beef, and unfortunately it was a little dry. It also could've used a lot more cheese (or cheese sauce) to bring everything together. I didn't complain because everyone has their own way of making things, and I respect that. But here's my opinion: if they simply renamed that "chopped cheese" sandwich to their Philly cheesesteak, it would be one of the best cheesesteaks around. In fact--and this is just my opinion--I think it would give J. Michael's Philly Deli some serious competition. At the end of the day, that's just one New Yorker's opinion. Go try it for yourself and let me know what you think!

Such a unique and different menu we started out with the Big Wes Lil' Weiners which was 4 smoked Jalapeno and cheddar sausages wrapped in an empanada crust served with an arugula chimmichuri dipping sauce. So innovative and delicious, sauce had a bite to it and the sausages were juicy and crispy with the empanada crust, highly recommend. I wanted to house made roast beef only available on the weekends but it was sold out, no surprise. Opted for the Ghostface Fillah instead. Shaved ribeye, arugula, horseradish on delicious sourdough bread. Perfect amount of ribeye and the all of the components worked perfectly. Saw quite a few people getting the burger as well, people rave about it. We also got an order of the garlic parm curly fries which couldn't have been much better, place just has such a fun menu putting their twist on American staples, perfect spot to grab a bite and watch a game.
