Milk Chocolate Toodles
Mikei J.

My family and I have been coming to The Fudge Pot, off and on, for 10 years. The chocolate is really good. I've had a variety of things and I liked them all, but my favorite is The Milk Chocolate Toodles. I drop in once a week, without the kids, I purchase 1 Toodle and I eat it real slow. Lol The service is always fast and friendly. I like that we can see the candy being made. Keep in mind for the counter treats they charge by the pound. They also make specialty chocolate, chocolate covered fruit, taffy apples, etc. The shop is small but cozy. It gives you a nostalgic feel which is rare to find in this day and age. Although it has been a neighborhood staple in Old Town for years, it's worth the drive for those that don't live in the area. I highly recommend.

I'm not sure why, but my nephew wanted a candy apple. So thanks to Google I found that The Fudge Pot sold them. I gave them a call and the man I spoke with said that they had a couple but they were a day or two old, but that if we came after five they'd have some fresh ones. So we got there just about five, and my mom and sister got a few pieces of candy along with the pièce de résistance, candy apple. The shop is very small; whilst we were in there I think there were a total of eight or so of us in there (four in my party), and it was starting to get a litltle crowded. However, placing your order may not take very long so I expect folks generally move in and out relatively quickly. It's an odd space but there is a ramp for wheelchairs, strollers, etc. Parking is limited to street parking. The candies (at least, what I tasted) were good. The salted caramel was delicious, and man I love caramel. I also tried a Grand Marnier truffle that was suuuuuuuper boozy. You'll get your money's worth there! However, I was pretty disappointed with the candy apple situation. I'm not sure we got the fresh ones that they were making--the woman gave my sister two, one for free, and from the little I was able to hear it sounded like it was because they were older ones. Uncool.

Tiny little shop because most of it is kitchen. This place has molded chocolates galore. And fun chocolate pops. We tried the milk and dark chocolate. They were both wonderful. The chocolate covered pretzels are a definite fave around here...a good combo of sweet and salty. The staff was the gem of this place.

Oh my goodness-- not only is everything they make AWESOME....but these folks showed up at the school door today with a "because you all work so hard" box of complementary apples for the Franklin teachers and staff. It made us cry to know that our neighborhood businesses like The Fudge Pot take the tome to let us know we are appreciated. I love neighbors like this! And I love all the yumminess they add to our Wells street! Thanks for this!

This place is my go to every time I'm in the area! Fudge pot has the best quality chocolate. The strawberries are amazing and worth every dollar. The Carmel apples are one of my favorites too the size of the apples are huge! The service is very welcoming and everyone is super nice. This location is small but very clean and organized. 10/10 would recommend

I love this cute Old Town staple. The shop has adorned Wells Street for decades. You walk in and it feels like a vintage spot filled with specialty treats. It's small but is loaded with unique stuff. The chocolates shaped into many things are perfect for gifts. If you have a doctor, barber, construction worker etc. you can get chocolates shaped just for them. They also have wonderful truffle chocolates and salted caramels. My favorite are the taffy apples. Sadly, on my last visit, my beautiful caramel apple was old and past it's prime on the inside. When it comes to this product, quality control is key. With any food item, expiration timing is very important. I still love this place and look forward to my next visit but I will specifically ask for an apple from their newest batch.

This comes in a set of 3 mini sizes. Staff was super accommodating and very patient with my decision paralysis of trying to choose flavors. They had great recommendations and our order was up quickly. Tried the hazelnut, semi sweet, and cardamom rose. Really enjoyed it! The marshmallows are also house made and were delish! Tried the truffle of the week, Baileys and they also had a line of brewery inspired flavors, so I tried the Clementine Cider. One also random star of the show is the well stocked washroom! Equipped with ample space, changing table, baby wipes, diapers, sanitary pads and tampons. Kudos for being well stocked for all the ladies and mamas out there! Can't wait to come back to try the other drinking chocolates!

I opted to try the goat cheese walnut dark chocolate while they prepared my drinking chocolate. My candy was delicious and goat cheese pair well with the chocolate. For my drinking chocolate, I got the Koval Bourbon Drinking Chocolate with Salted Caramel Marshmallow. It was fantastic and a nice warm up to frigid temperatures outside. All in all, a good way to warm up. Lots of options for food. On this occasion it was pretty packed but everyone was in jolly moods considering the holiday season.

Everything is covered in soft velour and velvet and it's just beautiful! There's a great mural on the wall with different cute sayings painted on the leaves. I'll be sharing pictures of those so make sure you take a look! It's a little pricey for your average person but the quality of the chocolate which is from France and Germany makes it worth it! Their coffees come with a lot of options, some with very unique flavor combinations. I tried the rosemary caramel iced latte and I loved it! Which I was surprised by because I'm not usually a rosemary fan. They have a great variety of homemade marshmallows which I will also show you in the pictures, I can't resist a good marshmallow! So I had to try the brown butter marshmallows to bring home with me and oh my goodness! But the real winner for me was Homemade caramels! I would go back just for those! Especially the bacon one ! If you go there and try absolutely nothing else , get yourself a couple of those. you can thank me later ! The staff is super friendly and helpful! I also love that you can see back into the Candy Kitchen! So you know that all the Truffles and caramels and everything is prepared in-house and are super fresh and extra delicious! If you're ever near one of their many locations I encourage you to stop in! The coffee price point is actually very affordable, the truffle and marshmallow prices are truthfully probably comparable with like Godiva or Fannie May but they are made with much higher quality ingredients. Not someplace I would visit everyday, but definitely great for a special occasion! This would be a great business to visit for some sweet holiday treats! They have multiple shops! Support your local small businesses!!!

I'd feel guilty eating the bonbons because they're so elegant, but they would make a fantastic gift. They make their matcha lattes using matcha powder that they also sell, and you can actually choose which matcha powder you want to try based on its profile. They have a chart that shows the matcha choices and their descriptions; I'll try to grab a picture of and post here the next time we go which will hopefully be soon, but someone may have already posted it.
